Even though I feel like I’m getting a little better at packing (thanks to the power of the pre-made list), I still stress out over how to bring my liquid beauty products on trips.
I swear, those little zip-top bags the TSA makes you use are cruel. They’re never big enough to hold everything I want need, but now MAC has a possible solution. Thanks to the new MAC Sized to Go line, I shouldn’t ever have to leave home without at least some of my MAC must-haves again.
The new collection, coming soon to MAC freestanding stores, contains nine miniature versions of MAC skin care favorites in tiny 1-oz. bottles and tubes.
Aren’t they cute? 🙂
Mini me!
And even if you don’t plan to hit the road or an airport any time soon, these lil’ guys could be a less expensive way (in some cases 50% less) to give some new products a try.
The MAC Sized to Go Collection (all are 1-oz.)
- Fix+ (not the Rose version; $10 US/$12 CND)
- Cleanse Off Oil/Tranquil ($10 US/$12 CND)
- Cleanse Off Oil ($10 US/$12 CND)
- Pro Eye Makeup Remover ($10 US/$12 CND)
- Demi-Wipes (30 full-size sheets; $15 US/$18 CND)
- Oil Control Lotion ($15 US/$18 CND)
- Green Gel Cleanser ($10 US/$12 CND)
- Strobe Cream ($15 US/$18 CND)
- Studio Moisture Cream ($15 US/$18 CND)
Oh, the wipes in the Demi-Wipes pack are the same size as the ones that come in the regular MAC Wipe packs, which is pretty cool, except here you get 30 of them for $15, instead of 45 of them for $18.
MAC Sized to Go arrives in MAC freestanding stores on June 9 in North America, internationally this July.
It’s a hard-knock life…
Do you have any plans this weekend? I’d really like to see X-Men: First Class, but right now all I can think about is sleep, LOL! Zzzz…
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

These are cute, but way too expensive.
Karen says
Hi, Vijaya. Yeah, they’re certainly more expensive on a per-ounce basis, but I like some of them for the convenience factor of not having to go through the trouble of filling my own little bottles with product. Plus, like you said, I think they’re cute! 🙂
monique says
do you know if you can back to mac these items?
Pang says
Neat idea for when you want to just try some stuff before investing in them. I hope you get the zzzzzz you deserved. Have a awesome weekend.

I am a total sucker for minis! I’ll definitely be getting some of these! Do you know if they’ll be sold online? The nearest freestanding store is over an hour away for me.

Hi Karen. Check out Christine’s travel tip post on 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic. I collaborated with her on how to get around the limits of a 3-1-1 bag. I think you might find some very useful information.
Chris25 says
This is pretty cool for traveling, and I suppose you can refill the minis using the full sized bottles. The Fix+ would be great to carry in your purse.
steph b says
Love it. Have been wanting to try strobe cream since your write up but have been reluctant to shell out for the full size. Wish I’d seen these before picking up Fix + — love it to set shadow as liner, but not as a full spritz makeup setter. That bottle will last me forever.
Jenn says
How cute! I’m definitely checking out a free-duty when I travel this summer. It’ll make the wait for my flight connect more bearable. 🙂
Emily says
OMG! I am so excited. This is such a good idea! Great for travel and to test out some new things at a lower price range….that and I can’t resist mini bottles…it is a problem…
Mindy M. says
I’m dying to see the movie! And those products are just too cute 🙂
Rae says
Aww, these are adorable! Perfect time to finally check out some of MAC’s skincare staples, yeah? 🙂
Vonvon says
I love skincare in mini sizes!
Tiffany says
I definitely want to try the cleanse off oil

i’ve never tried MAC skincare products before… i want them all!
MAC is CRAZY expensive here in the philippines so i’ll probably have to source them elsewhere. but i do enjoy reading the upcoming products you feature 😀
claudia says
Cute and it’s great to try out ! I really hate to buy full size and dislike the product !!
mita says
MAC aside, your cat is really adorable!! 🙂
Natalie says
Although they are pricey, I think I may get the Fix + because I like to use it to refresh my makeup and the full size is just too big to carry with me. The mini is the perfect size and when I run out I can always refill with another toner! Great post!
Cherokee says
I need these in my life.
cassi teague says
I’m excited to get to try some of these out without forking over a ton of money!!!!! I had been wanting to try some, but didn’t want to spend the money and not like it. Although I know MAC has a great return policy, its just a hassle! So I can’t wait to order!!!!!!! Did anyone find out if you could Back to Mac these yet?
nia says
good idea! as I am always looking for trial packs of some sort when I am trying a new brand. As a MAC newbie, this may prove to be very convenient for me 🙂
Liza says
I can’t wait to try these! I’m going away soon for a summer vacation to Australia and I really want to try Fix+ to refresh on the plane. Do you know of any other carry on essentials to bring for a long flight? Oh, and I’ve also always wanted to try Strobe cream. Plus, these are adorable!
Liza
NeenaJ says
The Strobe Cream is decently priced at $15 for 1oz vs. $29.50 for 1.7oz. I’ve never felt like I could use the entire full size version, so I will likely pick this up (with free shipping – use code: TRAVEL).

Hey Karen,
Lovely blog, keep up the great work! Just wondering can these be used as part of the back to mac program? I’d had to spend that much for a little bottle to find out I couldn’t!
Karen says
Hi Eva,
I’ve noticed counters/stores seem to vary with their Back to MAC policies, so you should probably confirm with your nearby counter. I’m betting that they should be Back to MAC-able, though!
Jana says
-_____- These just got released in Australia ..and it’s $15AUD converted into US dollars that’s $16! Ugh, that is such a rip off! *shakes head*
