If you’re the kind of person who fudges from time to time when it comes to applying lip products (um, yes, I am guilty of this), like, if you don’t always use a lip brush to precisely outline your lips — ding-ding-ding! Sharon will hook you up.
Sharon’s lip products from the mother-daughter MAC Sharon & Kelly Osbourne collection are all about shine. The Patentpolish Lip Pencils are shiny, the Lipglasses are shiny. There’s also a classic MAC Lip Pencil (that’s obviously not shiny), but the bulk of the release is Shine City!
We’re talking about sheer to moderately sheer coverage from these four Patentpolish Lip Pencils, two Lipglasses and one classic MAC Lip Pencil, so a good amount of your natural lip color will sneak through when you’re wearing them. Essentially, you have a lot of room for error. 🙂 (Read: you can mess things up pretty badly, and you’ll still look OK.)
It’s a sheerer, more neutral lip look than Kelly’s — very mom (and everyone) friendly — so if you like your lips nude and/or neutral, you’re in luck.
Check back a little later today for the Kelly sub-collection products.
The MAC Sharon Osbourne Lipglasses in Pussywillow and Bijou
Pussywillow is super sparkly!
And still pretty sheer. I see it as a good layering gloss.
As for Bijou, the other Lipglass in the Sharon launch, there’s something very MAC Spite Lipglass about it…if MAC Spite were blushing and brighter. Just your everyday rosy, dusty pink — perfectly pretty, but it doesn’t haunt my dreams.
The MAC Sharon Osbourne Patentpolish Lip Pencils in Innocent, Patentpink, French Kiss and Ruby
Lipstick for non-lipstick people, the Patentpolishes are sheer, shiny and uber-comfortable.
If Innocent and Patentpink, the lighter two of the four here, look familiar to you, you have a great eye. Both are re-promotes of Patentpolishes MAC released for spring.
For warm caramel French Kiss, the ’90s are calling! — when brown lips were all the rage. Except in this case, they aren’t matte or opaque. It’s a sheerer, shinier take on that classic ’90s look.
Ooh! I think both French Kiss and mid-toned rosy Ruby could be great neutrals for darker divas.
The MAC Sharon Osbourne Lip Pencil in Cranberry
I don’t know how I ever missed soft yellow pink Cranberry back when it was available before. A formerly discontinued color, Sharon gave it a new lease on life.
Perfect to pair with that warm pink lipstick you love. 🙂

Cranberry Lip Pencil and Bijou Lipglass are quickly becoming a new favorite neutral pink lip combo of mine.
If I were wearing my Justin Timberlake fedora right now, I’d tip it to Sharon for the lip products in this release. Pretty good job all around.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Bijou is like a lighter version of Dolce Vita and I can hear my heart beat for it! 😀 Cranberry is so damn pretty! I can imagine rocking the two together if I can successfully land at a MAC store before these fly off the shelfs!
Karen says
Yay!
Erin says
I think ruby would be great for summer for all the red lip lovers out there.
Karen says
Yes it would!
Agata says
The lipglasses are gorgeous! Is the Pussywillow similiar to Clear water from Alluring Aquatic collection?
Karen says
Hi Agata, It’s more of a straight up gold glitter. Clear Water is not as gold, and the glitter is multi-colored. I think Clear Water is more sparkly, too. HTH! Lemme know if you have any other questions!
Danielle says
Bijou is gorgeous!
Karen says
And such a lovely name for a cat as well, LOL! I want a cat just so I can name her Bijou.
Allison C says
What a relief that I can honestly say I can pass on these. Whew! I’m smitten by the Aquatic line and don’t really need more sheers, semi-sheer glosses, thank goodness 😉
Karen says
What did you end up getting from Alluring Aquatic, Allison?
Chris25 says
I like French Kiss and Ruby.
Karen says
Great picks!
Let says
I like Ruby and Bijou.
Karen says
Both are super pretty! Bijou especially. You’ll like it if you gave MAC Spite (a must try!).
Judith says
The lipglasses are certainly the stars of the collection!
Karen says
For sure! What else is in your list?
Fancie says
I was really hoping I wouldn’t like anything from Sharon’s collection but I’m digging a few pieces! I really like the glosses, lip pencil and MSF. I could probably skip the glosses but I think I need the liner and MSF in my life!
Karen says
It would be a pretty highlighter on you!
Natalie says
That lip pencil looks gorgeous! I love the MAC lip pencils so I think I need this one. It looks stunning on you.
Poo@beautyandmakeupmatters says
Cranberry lip pencil is so so prettyy.. I loved the red in MAC packaging .. 😉
Karen says
Love it!
zFashionizta says
Hi karen, is the lipglass Bijou a cream with no frost or shimmer?
Sylirael says
I think I like the Pussywillow gloss best 🙂 This particular collection fits really well together! I have a bit of neutral fatigue at the moment, so there’s nothing (except Pussywillow) that’s really catching my eye, but it seems like a nice collection nonetheless!
Abby says
I love the lavender and red packaging, eye-catching!

I got the Sharon blush today and I LOVE IT. Got Kellys Cheeky bugger to (of today, dont want to relive the Venomous villains terror that I still suffer mental scars from, even my daddy have it in his night terrors ) cause Im NW/NCC 15/10 ( I have a lot of green and blue veins hhahaha) Kellys will be like a if I want to contour my emaciated face and Sharons is for the HEY IM ALIVE look. And about the Patent polishes…. I loved nicki 2. And Patent pink is a lighter version of that. I love it but as mentioned Im very translucent, dry skin you name it. I do reccomend the patent pink though I was veeeeeeeeeeery sceptical at first. But if you dont have those awsome moistureised lips and tend to flake, try it! Used it every day since it arrived :). And love your blog.
