MAC Robert Lee Morris Powder Blush

December 1st, 2017 by Karen 18 Comments

MAC Robert Lee Morris Powder Blushes from the top in Peach, Linda and Rhubarb ($39 each)

Besides the fact that they’re softer and silkier than your average MAC Powder Blush and fantastically flattering with bronze and orange-y brown eyeshadows (must be the warm peachy tones), the MAC Robert Lee Morris Powder Blushes, which are $39 each and available in three shades, also kinda look like dragons eggs!

I hope one of them hatches so I can fly to Starbucks this morning and get a toasty beverage off into battle and save Jon Snow. #GameofThronesReference

These are pigmented as all heck, so go easy on that blush brush, will ya?

They’re part of the LE Robert Lee Morris collection (he’s a jewelry designer, hence the flashy packaging). They’re listed as sold out on the MAC website now, but you still might be able to find them on counters through December 14th.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. TGIF.

P.P.S. Happy December 1st. โ›„

      Hi Katie,

Agreed! It bet it would be gorgeous with a red or a berry lipstick. How are you and baby Ivy doing today? Connor and I will be heading out to watch a performance of the Nutcracker that was organized by the local moms group I belong to. It’s a performance just for the moms and kids and the little ones will be able to run around if they need to. I don’t know if she’ll be able to stay still for the entire show but we’ll hang out for as long as we can.

Me too! Should be pretty with the red lipstick from the collection. Happy Friday!

I’m thinking about the pressed powder, how does the packaging feel? Like is it heavy, does it open nicely? It’s beautiful

      Hi Breyerchic04,

It’s easy to open but it’s shockingly lightweight. I was expecting a good amount of heft from metal, but it feels plastic. It’s still pretty though and looks good on a counter. Let me know if you have any other questions about it; I’m happy to help.

Rhubarb looks like my kind of color. But I don’t have any extra time or energy this month to hunt one down. Can I just say how much I hate LE products.

Totally understand that. It’s comforting to know if I fall in love with something in the permanent collection, it’ll ALWAYS be there when I run out. Although permanent stuff gets discontinued though all the time, like the MAC concealer I’m obsessed with, WAHHH! ๐Ÿ™

How’s your Friday going? I just got back from taking Connor to watch the Nutcracker!

Did you go to the SF Ballet to see it? Didn’t realize it was in production already. My daughter skipped that part of her season subscription. You can only see the Nutcracker so many times. Although I do have fond memories of taking Dear Daughter to see it when she was young. I am completely at fault for her love of ballet and art museums. I think our first ballet is some time in January.

It was in Marin, in San Rafael at the Civic Center. There was a special performance by a local ballet company for parents and their kids! It was technically a dress rehearsal but it was treated like a full-on show. Kids can move around, fuss if they need too, and basically do all the things kids usually do at shows but aren’t supposed to, LOL! I got an invite from a local moms group that I’m part of. I was hoping that I could meet a few moms and be social but sigh… Didn’t work out like that. I’m not shy or anything, but it’s awkward trying to talk to other moms while I’m chasing Connor around. Plus the moms who are part of the group seem to have their own cliques. I dunno, I’m going to keep trying. There’s a Christmas event in a couple of weeks that I signed up for. Hopefully I can meet some one soon, as mom life is surprisingly lonely sometimes.

Connor was feeling especially “spirited” today (she didn’t want to sit down at all) but I think she had fun. When the house lights went down and the curtain went up she said “WOW!” ๐Ÿ™‚ And then when she saw the dancers she twirled in circles and kicked her feet like she was in the performance, too.

I agree, with the other commenters about Rhubarb. Itโ€™s a beautiful color but I donโ€™t have any desire in spending $40 dollars for a MAC blush. Iโ€™ll continue to stick w/NARS ๐Ÿ™‚

      Hi Lisa,

NARS makes amazing blushes. Have you tried Madly? It’s one of my faves. I once wore it for 6 months straight, LOL!

Rhubarb is beautiful, and Jon Snow is even more beautiful. I guess I need some Dragon Eggs myself.

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days).
