How To Use the MAC Prep + Prime Highlighters To Look Well Rested (Even When You’re Not)

Published in: MAC Makeup, Makeup Tips/How To, Video

DUDE. Ever have one of those mornings when you look in the mirror and the first thing that pops into your head is, “Dayummmm, Gina! I look hella tired”?

Or something to that effect?

Well, that’s me. Every. Single. Day.

Earlier this week, in my ongoing good fight effort to change that, I picked up a couple of MAC Prep + Prime Highlighters, hoping they’d help me look better rested.

Incidentally…these were part of a larger stress shopping-related haul, but that’s a story for another time, LOL!

Where was I…? Ah! Yes, because I’m a curious kitty, I popped by the MAC counter today to learn how to use them properly (seems like that would be important, right?) and wanted to share what I learned with you.

Products mentioned in the video…

Great video and tips! Is Tabs being a slave-driver?

    • Karen says:

Yes he is. He just held me down for a good 15 minutes for an unscheduled deep-tissue massage. I live under an iron rule!

How’s your fur family doing? Are Jij and Quincy behaving right now?

      • Chelsea says:

They’re being pretty good boys! We’re sitting on the floor next to the Christmas tree. Quincy was trying to chew on our new table, so I had to stop him from doing that. Quincy’s diet seems to be working though! I’ll have to take him into the vet (he goes to a farm vet, there are goats and ponies, it’s amazing) to see what he weighs!

        • Karen says:

How sweet. Family time by the tree! :) Tell Quincy good luck for me. I hope he meets his goals.

Do you have an official start date yet for your new job?

          • Chelsea says:

December 30th! My last day of my current job is the 19th, so I’ll have some time off for the holidays!

          • Karen says:

WOW, so that’s just around the corner! Lots of big changes. I’m very excited and happy for you.

What do you plan to do on your time off? Any traveling?

          • Chelsea says:

I’m not sure! We might go up north to visit my parents and grandparents. I think my brother will be in town, so that will be nice!

I’ve been holding back, but I gotta say it — you are so cute and gorgeous in videos. Don’t get me wrong, I love your writing and photos. But, in videos, I guess you see some of your gestures and the like… adds to bringing out your wonderful personality :)

    • Karen says:

      Hi Vanessa,

Thank you very much! I’m still getting used to video, so this is so encouraging and kind. :) I hope you found this post useful. Have you tried any of the MAC Prep + Prime Highlighters?

  3. Rica says:

Karen, you know what’s funny? When you asked the question at the beginning of the post, I was like “that’s me every single day”… I’m glad (or should I be glad?) that I’m not alone and joined the Sisterhood of Perpetual Exhaustion :P

I’ve been using Benefit Fake Up in Light for a quick coverup or sometimes using Veil Cosmetics (they only have one product) with the YSL Touche Eclat No.1 on top… I think both look quite good to combat those dark circles :D
