The other day I covered up what the beauty/fashion world calls my “imperfections” — the freckles on my cheekbones, acne scars on my cheeks, the chicken pox souvenir in the center of my forehead that I got when I was three — with big ol’ heart-shaped glitter from MAC, and you know what occurred to me?
WE SHOULD BE DOING THIS, LIKE, ALL THE TIME. Screw Face Tune and Photoshop. This is much so cooler.
Weirdly enough, these glitter hearts, which are even more epic in person, do a bang-up job of sticking to my skin. I wore them all day long without any glue (just on top of my usual foundation and powder), and only two hearts fell off.
We should totally make this a thing. You down?!

Just saw a saleswoman st the Mac counter with them and fell in LOVE! Defiantly should be a thing?

Gosh darn it, Karen! You are so beautiful, girl! (This was the first thing I thought when I saw this post, so it needed to be said haha.)

I have a souvenir of chicken pox, too. It’s a round depression between my eyes. I was 8 when I got chicken pox, and there was no vaccination for it at that time, so there were sweeping epidemics of it happening to every generation of kids.
Sorry, I wouldn’t wear glitter like that unless I were under the age of 12.

Love it! Reminds me of the fake beauty marks of the 18th century! But shinier and therefore better.

I´m down.

After seeing your hearts and pictures of Carrie Underwood’s glitter tears at the ACM awards last week, I’m kind of down with this becoming a thing. They should make hearts with acne treatment- treat and cover acne in a pretty way. 🙂

So fun and cute!

I’ll give you $5 if you go to TJs with the glitter. I mean it. 😉 You know I barely have time to do my regular, boring makeup. I’d have to set aside an hour to strategically place these glitter hearts. HAHA! Oh, and so much to tell you, so little memory. The Japanese waterproof Heroine mascara that I got with the almost empty-tube? I was able to coax some out in sunny FL and I wore it to a water park. 8 hours in and out of heavily chlorinated water, plus rides and sun, etc. It held up amazingly. Maybe 1 or 2 flakes (and I was patting my eyes after every ride). Great length and nice volume, too. So, I think it’s a winner if you can get a full tube! 🙂

I love the natural beauty that comes through in your photos. You can tell that your images aren’t photoshopped or heavily edited and you still look gorgeous. You are the perfect example that overly edited photos where the girl looks plastic and pristine are not nearly as interesting to look at as ones like this.
