For me, these MAC Fashion Pack Lipsticks are a reminder that MAC still makes some of the best lipsticks around, in my opinion. MAC is still my first stop when I want a new lipstick because of their wide range of colors, and because some of their formulas, like Amplified and Frost, are amazing.

Available in-store June 23 through July 28, 2016
#MACFashionPack“Lead the way with a new wave of front-row worthy hues. Fuchsia, violet, emerald, deepest plum, midnight…ready to wear, any way we dare! So, be a doll and show us how — the Fashion Pack is always in the know.” -MAC
The four lipsticks in the launch — Pressed & Ready (a soft whitened nude with a Lustre finish), Aim For Gorgeous (a bright fuchsia with a Matte finish), By Special Order (a deep reddened fuchsia with an Amplified finish) and Stylist’s Tip (a deep violet with an Amplified finish) — are all incredibly smooth and pigmented, and the darker colors absolutely LAST.
You can check out the new MAC Fashion Pack Runway Worthy Eye Shadow x9 and Fluidline Pens here.
I applied Stylist’s Tip one morning before work, and when I got home at the end of the day, it looked good! — and this was with my near-constant eating and drinking, and without a single touchup.
Here are some swatches…
And photos of me wearing them…
Alright…Pressed & Ready is very light, but it feels smooth and comfortable. I was tempted to doctor it up with a brown lip liner but thought that would be against my ethical duties as a beauty blogger, LOL.
This one just doesn’t quite work for me, but it is a pretty pink-toned nude.
Matte finish Aim For Gorgeous is actually easy to apply and surprisingly comfortable, considering that sometimes matte lipsticks can tug on my lips. This one has a really nice texture.
I love By Special Order’s slightly glossy finish. It has an Amplified finish, which is one of my favorite finishes from MAC.
Here’s a breakdown of my look
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Annapurna // Maybelline Instant Age Rewind concealer in Honey // MAC Prep + Prime CC Colour Correcting Loose Powder in Neutralize // NARS Dual-Intensity blush in Sexual Content (the right side) // MAC Snappy Style eyeshadow from the Runway Worthy palette all over the lid and Runway Worthy along the inner corners // Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara // Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown // Dior Brow Styler Gel in Brown.
I wasn’t expecting to LOVE Stylist’s Tip, but wow. I always admire people who can pull off purple lips but have a hard time finding a perfect purple shade that works for me. But this color drives me wild, and it doesn’t make my teeth look super yellow (can I get an Amen??). It applies like a dream, too, and lasts all day. I can’t say enough good things about Stylist’s Tip.
So, what do you think? Will you be snatching up any of these MAC Fashion Pack lipsticks?

Adia says
Yes, girl, you need it!
yelena says
stylist tip looks lovely, not that I need any more purple lippies, but it’s good to keep it in mind. how would you compare it to mac’s heroine and violetta?
ps. I actually do like pressed & ready on you 🙂
Adia says
Hi Yelena! I think Stylist’s Tip and Heroine are pretty similar, except Heroine is matte and Stylist’s Tip has a more glossy finish. Violetta is a tad more cool-toned, I think. Violetta also has a shimmer finish. So, I think the colors of all three are similar but the finishes are way different. Hope this helps!
Agata says
Stylist’s Tip looks gorgeous on you. Recently I have been trying more purple lipsticks too and it’s funny how some look awful until you fin that perfect one!
Adia says
Yes, Agata! It takes a lot of patience to find a good purple lippie, but now I think I’ve found the one….for now 😉
Becky says
Stylist’s Tip looks fantastic on you! Though honestly-the others do too!

I love “By Special Order!” As others have said, you look good in all the colors.
Adia says
Thanks so much!!
Amy says
Amen! You get my amen. That’s a “wow” color. I might even have to try it, even though purple lips have never been a “go” for me – but I’d like them to be! This might be the right color. Aim for Gorgeous Is my second fave!
Adia says
Yass, Amy! Purple is so hard to pull off, so definitely give this one a try 🙂
Erin says
Pressed and Ready will probably only work on the fairest warm toned people or people with really dark lips that want to mute the tone. I think on you personally, if you took a peachy lip liner and filled in your lip and topped it, it would look better.
Rachel R. says
I’m loving the colors, especially “By Special Order.”
Adia says
Thank you, Rachel!!

Stylish Tip and Special Order look great on you! I can almost any red lipstick but purples are tricky. I’m going to check this one out in store.
Adia says
Thanks, Denise 🙂 I definitely think Stylist’s Tip is worth checking out in person as purples can be so tricky!
