A couple days ago I posted a pic of some new MAC Dazzleglass lipglosses that were added to the MAC permanent line last month, and I didn’t anticipate the powerful pull o’ the Dazzleglass glitter, because I was inundated by requests for me to list their names.
So here goes…
Of course I like the pink, peach and coral ones, LOL! There are also some edgier colors too, like a blue (Comet Blue), a few purples (Funtabulous, Date Night and Boys Go Crazy), a white shade (Pleasure Principle), a copper (Get Rich Quick) and a red (Love Alert).
If Love Alert and Sugar-Rimmed look familiar, that’s because they also appeared in earlier MAC LE launches.
The new ones are just like I remember them (err, the other ones). They’re extra glittery and shiny, with glitter flecks bigger than the glitter in a MAC Lipglass, but they aren’t gritty at all, which is great, so they’re quite comfy, even though they’re super sticky, and there’s no way in hell you can avoid getting your high pony stuck in your gloss when you wear them.
That’s just not happening!
But, on the flip side, they last a solid four hours.
The thing about the Dazzleglasses is that you really have to see them in person and get ’em on your lips to fully appreciate their beauty, because…they all kind of look the same in pics. Not sure why, but their sparkly effect gets lost for some reason… They’re much cooler IRL!
By the way, there’s a pink shade in this new batch called Extra Amps, which is a dead-ringer for an epic, sparkly, long-discontinued pink Glossimer Chanel had about a decade ago called Astral.
If you remember that shade, then 1) damn, girl! You’re a hardcore Chanel fiend! And 2) you’ll probably love Extra Amps to bits. 🙂

Ah they are so gorgeous! Sugar Rimmed is definitely calling my name. After mostly matte lips, I am so ready for the lipgloss comeback, haha!

I never got on with these glosses, too much shimmer for me to wear on my pout. But they have kind of a hypnotizin effect in the pictures.

So many pretty colors!

Linda, I love the Dazzleglasses, and they wear less sparkley in person than in the tube, IMO.
Give them a try, they are gorgeous!

I’m so excited that lip gloss is trendy again! There’s nothing prettier than a hint of shine and sparkle. I love matte lips too, but sometimes I want something a bit more flattering and glossy! I’ll have to check these out in-store next weekend because I don’t mind a sticky gloss (it’s not my favorite but I can deal with it if it means longevity).

I saw some comments about these when you originally posted. The glitter always gets ’em. 😉
I thought you were going to say it was a dead ringer for Daydream and I came right out of my chair. HAHA! I take heart in the fact that it probably wouldn’t look good on me so I can just enjoy seeing pics of it on others. Kinda sad, I know. 🙂

Pretty but I already know that the glitter will travel on my chin and outside my lip line – it’ll be annoying. That’s probably why I’ve been avoiding the glittery lip toppers. I try and they fail me. I’ll stick to my mattes and cream glosses. I’ll keep the glitter on my lids, at minimum.

Baby Sparks is one of my all time favorite glosses. I love the little blue/turquoise reflects in there.

Too bad I don’t wear lip gloss, because Money Honey sure is calling out to me. But I hate sticky and having my hair stuck to my lips.

Hey Karen!
Great pictures, as always. Extra Amps isn’t new; I’ve had it for at least a year. It’s such a fun color!
