MAC Cult of Cherry and Overrich Collections Now Available Online

Just a quick note for the MAC fans — MAC Cult of Cherry is now available online. Yup, the wait is over, and all MAC online purchases made by August 23 will also ship free.

Must. Exercise. Spending. Restraint.

Here’s a screen shot taken from an artsy-fartsy video MAC has posted on the Cult of Cherry page. It features a woman with a weird plaster cat. Interesting…

But Cult of Cherry isn’t the only MAC news of the day. The new Overrich pigment collection ($19.50 each) also launched online.

Featuring limited edition pigments in green, gold, mauve and copper shades, Overrich looks wearable and pretty. I’ve got a fetish for greens and golds and can’t wait to see both Vintage Gold and Antique Green in person.

You know it’s going to be a good day when you get your MAC fix before noon. ;)

Ladies, I’m on my umpteenth cup of coffee already and feeling kinda loopy! How goes your morning so far?

    I placed my order (So Scarlet, Spiced Chocolate Quad and all the lipglass but Liquer) before 11am EST this morning and got overnight shipping so I should have it in my hot little hands by tomorrow afternoon!!! :D

    Hey Karen thanks for the post! OMG I’m totally obsessed with Andy Warhol and things of that sort but this vid was ODD, CRAZY, etc. I thought the Heatherette vid was odd but this is like woah! I’m not sure what I’m going to get from this collection as I will have to see in person. I LOVE shadowy lady!! It’s great as a colored smoky eye esp with some post haiste which I love. Will have to see though… What are you going to get??

    I want to buy the entire collection, but will hold off until my visit with the MAC MA on Sunday. God, sadly, I will end up going to the appointment, buying what I want there, and then going home and buying other stuff I want online. Sad, but true!

    How do you use your pigments, Karen? I haven’t tried them yet but am curious…

    I want the Spiced Chocolate Quad and maybe the Shadowy Lady quad. For lip products I originally wanted just the lipsticks but now all the Mattenes and Lipglasses seem to be calling to me! I haven’t been this excited for a collection since Smoke Signals, so I will probably fall prey. :)

    Oh! I have Post Haste around here somewhere… I will try that combo if Shadowy Lady ends up comin’ home with mama!

    HA! It does have a creepy quality to it. I sort of want that plaster cat. I would love to put it in a few pictures with Tabs… oy vey, I’m turning full on Crazy Cat Lady.

    Pigments are really fun, but I don’t use them as often as I’d like because I tend to be clumsy. Here’s a quick tutorial I did a few months back on which brushes to use, etc.:

    Yeah, I think you’ll be able to use ‘em. Divine is the purple and white one, right? I’ve used those razor heads on the Embrace razor and they totally fit; I’m guessing they should be able to go vice versa.

    I like them for nights out. I have some subtle day colors, like Melon and and Golden Olive, but they aren’t the quickest eye when I’m rushing out the door!

    You know what I’ve been loving on lately for quick looks? Cream shadows! Holy crap they are fast…

    I just spoke with my MAC Pro homie, and she tells me that six of the Overrich colors will be permanent to MAC Pro Stores:

    Blonde’s Gold
    Heritage Rouge
    Copperbeam
    Vintage Gold
    Antique Green
    Museum Bronze

    The remaining two will be limited edition to MAC Pro Stores:
    Mega-Rich
    Mauvement

    For all other MAC stores and MAC counters, all eight colors will be Limited Edition.

    Yah, I only have Birthday Suit so far and I’ve gotten lots o’ complements when I wear it by itself (just on the lid, barely into the crease). It’s super easy to use and takes virtually no effort (gawd I’m getting lazy…). But if you’re hardcore devoted to MAC you can always go the Paint Pot route.

    I have one of those “Pink” dogs! Mine wears a lil’ hoodie sweatshirt, too. It freaks El Hub out because it has no eyes, ha!

    I got Jampacked, Cult of Cherry and Cherry Blossom l/g. The mattenes were a bit intimidating so I only got Kirsch so far. It looks awfully similar to Bing I think.
