You Must Choose: Trapped in TV Land

Last night I slept a total of about 3.5 hours because of different things on my mind, but in that time I managed to have a few vivid dreams, including one where I was trapped in the 80’s sitcom The Golden Girls.

Perhaps the dream was a cry for help, but, honestly, I can’t think of another TV show in which I’d rather be trapped. I love that show!

Sure, the ladies of The Golden Girls are more than twice my age, but I can’t get enough of Blanche, Dorothy, Sophia and Rose’s hijinks. Plus, the show is set in Miami — hello, surfing. Let the hilarity ensue!

In the dream I moved into the house and became the fifth Golden Girl. Sophia taught me how to cook Sicilian food, and Rose asked if I could post a picture of her new hairdo on the blog. Yup, good times.

I hope I have a Sex and the City dream now, but I really can’t see myself living in New York because I’m a wuss when it comes to cold winters.

Speaking of TV dreams, could you imagine being stuck in The Hills? I can see myself hanging out with Lo and Whitney, but the show’s male characters are terribly sub-par. Could anyone have a meaningful conversation with Spencer or Justin Bobby, the ambassadors of lame?

    I’ve had dreams where I’ve been on America’s Next Top Model! Alas, I am too short to make it really happen.

    I would want to be on The Office so I could be BFFs with Kelly — we would chat about celebrity gossip and shoes and lip gloss and our coworkers all day.

    That or I want to be on 30 Rock so I could hang out with Liz Lemon. I want to sit at that writing table!

    I’ve often wanted to live in a show but for a lot of different reasons. Great clothes, great looking guys… you know? If I had to choose one though I’d say…. The Tudors! Great clothes, great looking guys, although I might get beheaded. I’ll take the risk though.

    I’ve never seen that show, although I do have a thing for the main guy (I can’t remember his name right now). But he was in Bend it Like Beckham a few years back… hello, cutie!

    Three’s Company would be one of mine, too. I totally want Jack to make me dinner and I want to hang with Janet at the flower shop. I’d never date Larry though. EWWWW!

    Re Facts of Life, I so wanted to be Jo when I was 7. I thought she was so cool!

    For me, it would have to be SATC. I love the clothes and the lives that those women had on the show. I am sort of a mix between Charlotte and Carrie with a little sprinkle of Miranda.

    Hmmm….what a fun dream! I could totally see myself being trapped in The Golden Girls. I absolutely adore that show. Although I’m probably do really well in Living Single because I love alll of the characters. Or A Different World.

    I could totally see myself living that over the top glamorous life of Kimora…I think dreaming about being one of the Girls Next Door would be a real nightmare! Kissing Hugh Hefner…ewwww gross!!

    Yah, it was kinda awesome. The GG’s were really nice in my dream, too. And funny! I remember both Living Single and A Different World. For some weird reason, I always liked Whitley.

    I’ve seen several eps of Kimora’s show and I gotta say… I kinda like her. I would someday love to sit down with her and pick her brain. And maybe she’d gimme some of her awesome Louis Vuitton luggage!

    I never, ever, ever want to make out with Hef. Not even in my dreams.

    My first choice is definately Girlfriends. I love that show and I’m so upset about it being canceled. Lastly I’d like to be on Kimora: Life In The Fast Lane so I can steal all the shoes out of her closet.

    Oh boy you should watch The Tudors! The guy you like, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, is really good. If you don’t know who Henry Cavill is look him up, he’s currently Imaginary Boyfriend #3. :)

    My Grandma and her two sisters are the Golden Girls. My cousins and I have said it since we knew who the Golden Girls were.haha Just make sure you never tell your Grandma she’s just like Blanche! (I mean in charisma Grandma…haha)

    I would say more Carrie since I do like to experiment with different styles. Miranda is too corporate and Samantha (who I also love) has a more provocative style which isn’t me.

    It’s a brand new show and because of the strike it’s a short season, so you shouldn’t have a problem catching up.

    Team LC FOR SURE!!! Heidi is getting more and more gross by the day!! All that plastic surgery? She’s kinda a ho-bag. (But I’m still buying the Rolling Stone with all 4 of the girls on the cover! LOL!) Plus, Spencer is such a skeeze.

    And NO! NONONONONO!!! Adama can’t be a Cylon!! Noo. *plugs ears and dances around* I still don’t know who I think the last one is… but nothing will really surprise me. (My surprise mechanism is broken since the whole ending of Deathly Hallows. So it’ll be a while before I’m surprised again! LOL!)

    OMG - I’m buying it too! I was looking at really old pictures of Heidi from back in the day when she was dating Jordon and she looked really different. Have you noticed, too, how she is constantly flipping her hair back for the camera? I long for the innocent days of Laguna Beach (seasons 1-2).

    Okay, okay, I must confess… I have no definitive evidence to back up Adama’s Cylon-ness! I do want to put that on a T-Shirt someday! :)

    If I could add a movie, I sure wouldn’t mind being trapped in So I Married and Axe Murderer! I’d hang out drinking uber-cappucinos with Mike Myers and his buds!

    Other than that, I think I’d like to hang out in Bewitched! It would never be boring, and me and Endora would be homies! :D

    LOL you crack me up Karen. I think this is probably the easiest you must choose ever…normally you give us crazy difficult choices. Like would you rather be transported to Flavor of love 15 and have to make out with flav or be stuck in reruns of full house forever. LOL

    So Golden girls is definitely on my list…I too love the GG. But I would probably go for something like Will and Grace. CSI miami was high on my list too, but knowing my luck if I transported into that mess, I’d be a victim… LOL SATC definitely wins for fabulosity with me though.

    I always wanted to be on GILMORE girls-I’m right in between the ages of Loreali and Rory, so I thought I would be friends with both! :-) Or now, maybe, for a newer show Heroes (but oh, dangerous, my life could be in trouble) or Pushing Daisies (ummm-PIE).

    My #1 pick is One Tree Hill..I love that show..I love the setting, I love the musicians that are always on, and I love the fact that the friends are family..doesn’t hurt that Chad Michael Murray is HOT!!! lol..

    Pick #2 would be Scrubs..you get to be a doctor,
    but not deal with all of the bad it comes with..Score!!

    Pick #3 would be Friends..come on who hasn’t wanted to be friends with them..??

    Have you been watching the new season? OMG, I can’t take it. Shot of Love 2 has been pretty bad, too. I don’t know what’s wrong with me! I just can’t turn away when it’s on.

    I think I was less than 10 and used to watch Golden Girls on a regular basis. It was kind of weird watching Betty White on William Shatner’s Roast though.

    Oh, and then I caught Hubbo glimpsing a GG rerun a couple of weeks ago! LOL!

    I love Buffy, but would never want to be trapped near the Hellmouth. Although, I would be stuck in Smallville or Torchwood just to get close to James Marsters. :)

    Hmmm.. I think my choice would have to be Gossip Girl. I missed the first couple of episodes when it aired over here in the UK so I watched them online. I got hooked so I have just spent practically the whole weekend watching the entire first season. I am hooked on the show and would love for that to my life. I would have perfect hair and clothes and make-up ALL the time. Oh, and I would be Nate Archibald’s other half. A girl can dream :D
