I’ll take one of those elaborately braided Katniss Everdeen hairdos. Either that, or an effortless, messy boho fishtail braid.
I’m kind of regretting not trying something like that when my hair was longer a few months ago, but I didn’t have the patience to attempt it myself… When it comes to intricate or complicated braiding, my hair patience usually ends around the 5-minute braided bun mark.
What’s a hairstyle you haven’t tried yet but would like to?

P.P.S. Speaking of The Hunger Games, and no, I’m not referring to Tabs, guess what’s coming out soon? 🙂

I got my hair braided this summer at a Renaissance Festival, it was a lot of fun and I liked the finished look, but I would never be able to do it myself. They had braid styles for shorter hair too, perhaps next summer if you find yourself at a festival you can get it done there 🙂
I have always wanted to try bangs. My hair fantasy is pretty much this:

I’m such a low-maintenance hair person though, I’m too nervous to commit!

TGIF! And I thought it was Thursday!
There is a line in “Life in Wartime” by the Talking Heads that my husband says applies to me: “I’ve changed my hairstyle so many times, I don’t know what I look like.”
Yup. But I always revert to bangs and mid-length, layered bob.
I’ve always wanted one of those 1940s do’s with the “rat” but I don’t know that I’d be able to do it on my own.
The braided do is lovely on you.

I’d love to try a punky anime-style sleek high ponytail, with a big poofy ‘front’. Does that make sense at all? Lol

I wish I still had my long hair coz I’d love to do one of those fishtail braids or a braid on the side of my hair. Unfortunately, my hair is too short now. Love your new ‘do

Those fishtail braids are so pretty, but my hair is too short for that. I probably won’t have the patience to grow my hair out again so I will admire the look on others. TGIF. 🙂

I’ve tried a lot of styles and colors. Fishtail side braids are really a lot easier than most people think. Especially because the messier your hair is now the better. Gone are the days of perfectly coiffed hair (unless you watch old movies LOL).
Sometimes I swear its because the new school stylist can’t perform the old styles so… viola! messy updo. LOL
For a long time I thought Allure magazine was stalking me because I have good hair and a good stylist but I don’t take a lot of time to really “do” my hair in the morning and all the “shiz” I ended up sporting became a trend. GO ME. LMAO
One thing I will NEVER do again is bangs. Too hard to grow out and they make me crazy after a week. LOL

I would love to wear a pixie cut, but my hair has been shoulder length or longer as long as I can think. And it takes forever to grow out, so I don´t dare to cut it.

I totally agree on braids or maybe something like a colored Mohawk!

I’d love to be able to wear a Mia Wallace cut and color. It’s so timeless, sexy, bold.

I’d love to try a really sleek straight bob but I don’t know if I’d be able to carry it!

French braids. I know it’s not a terribly advenutrous hairstyle, but it’s one I’d like to be able to do on myself! Maybe that or a crown braid…
Marina(Makeup4all) says
I really like your updo, as for myself, I rarely do anything with my hair at all, so I definitely should start experimenting more!

I’m scared of trying new hairstyles. I cut my hair above my shoulders for the first time since middle school a few months back and am already growing it back out. I love funky braids and stuff, but my hair is too slippy!
I kind of love the idea of bangs, but it also seems like a lot of work (I have a cowlick and blow dry my hair… never)

Someday, I would like to do one of those Victoria Beckham angled stacked bobs, and then maybe dye it a fun color. I’ve done just about everything else in the hair world, but not that. I have a very large, tall frame and usually find that long hair is the most flattering/balancing for my body (plus I love all the pretty styling possibilities that long hair has to offer!) but the low-maintenance chic of that bob has always been appealing… maybe someday!
