Nowadays I hardly wear any makeup on the weekends. Like, sometimes none.
I mean, I put on a little last Saturday to go to the salon, mostly because I didn’t want to stare at myself in the mirror for two hours without having at least a little something on, but yeah, I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup on the weekends. I’ll let my skin breathe…
But that’s not the real reason. 🙂 It’s also pure laziness, because I wear a lot of makeup to blog during the week, and that’s fun and I enjoy it, but I don’t really go big right now on the weekends.
Maybe someday, you know, if Connor wants to go clubbing with her ancient mom, I’ll put some glitter on my lids and something sparkly on my lips, and we’ll go to Club X together in the city.
Oh, gosh…
How about you? Do you wear more makeup during the week, or do you wear more on the weekend?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Doesn’t matter, week days, weekends, it’s all the same for me when it comes to make-up 🙂

I definitely wear more makeup during the week. Like you, I like to give my skin a break on the weekends. If I have to go out somewhere nice on a weekend, I’ll put on a little something.

I pretty much wear more makeup during the week and not much on the weekend. I always wear a base (tinted balm) and concealer, but that might be all I wear on weekends. If I go out, which is rare, I will add a full face of makeup on the weekend. I sometimes don’t even put a base on on Sundays and allow my skin to breathe.

I usually wear more make up during the week. If I have appointments and such. Sundays I wear it for church – but otherwise, I don’t. If I don’t have anywhere to be, you won’t catch me with it on….. that’s just the way that it goes.
How are you Karen? You are NOT lazy – your just in a different priority zone. Good Lord your doing a hard exercise class… a blog… a baby and a store??? Your lazy?? How you figure?
Be good to yourself girl!!! You deserve it….<3

During the week! Doing my makeup is my “me time” before work. On the weekend I’m more likely to do something low-key and take naps :p

For me it’s more about I’ll be doing that day, for example today I’m only going exercising and after to my English course so no makeup for the day.
If I’m going to university It depends of my mood but at least I do my brows and lipbalm. So for me it’s more about my activities.

I put tons of makeup during the week because I have to go to work and on the weekend I try to let my skin breathe like you.
If I go out on friday or saturday nights I go extra glamorous on my makeup with a lot more precision and time.

I used to wear much more during the weekend than during the week, but now I find myself going makeup-free on the weekends more often in order to give my skin a break. If I go out to dinner or a party or somewhere on the weekend then I’ll wear more makeup, but other than that I like to take a little break!

I usually wear the exact same look every day, but lately I’m on a lipliner/lipstick kick and I change it up mostly during the week. Weekends I’m pretty plain. That’s a huge change in the past 15 years!

About the same!

I wear makeup M-F for work. On the weekend I go all out for Saturday date night <3! For Saturday and Sunday day, out for training and errands, the usual routine is to brush my brows, and put on a little eyeliner & mascara to open up/brighten my eyes. Maybe a spot of concealer if my face is angry at me. I too like to let my face breath. The weekend is also when I do any masks for exfoliation and smoothing, hair removal, tweezing etc…because I have the time to take my time taking care of my skin. 😉

And… your hair could not be more adorable. It makes the black lipstick look fresh!!

I defintely wear more makeup during the week. I love getting ready to go to the office, just because this moment is my moment, the one where I take care of myself ?. xxx

I agree with the comments about dedicating some “me-time” before work. Sure, I have to wake up earlier, but the result is worth it. I thank the cosmetic gods for long-wear makeup. How did we get through the day without setting sprays, primers, and products that actually last eight hours? Weekends are very low-key for me. Even though I have kids, that’s when I consider myself “off duty.” 🙂

Always more on weekends, weekdays I have school at 8:30am and I don’t have the energy to dress up for it much. But on weekends I go all-out!
Chris25 says
It’s more during the week. I wear it to work and use the weekend to let my skin breathe.

I wear lip products pretty much 24/7 these days but full face is usually the weekend s cause that is when I’m going out. I work at home for a hosting company, so lipstick and glasses and a top knot are good enough!

More on the weekends! I’m not allowed to put on makeup at work so weekends it is!
Rachel R. says
I wear the same amount every day.

For me, it depends on:
1. what I’ll be doing that day
2. if there’s a new product or technique I want to experiment with — I wear full-on makeup with crazy lip colors to run errands all the time. Why not? It’s fun to be decorative 🙂
I don’t go out without sunscreen, and my sunscreen is also my base. I’ll add at least finishing powder, tinted brow gel, mascara and a lip color to that. Usually I’ll tightline and put something on my cheeks, too. It’s eyeshadow looks that really add time to my routine.
Fran says
I also meant to say how much I like this lipstick on you, Karen!

The amount of makeup I wear depends on where I go, so it doesn’t matter if weekdays or weekends 😀 It’s always the same old brow pencil and gel, then some concealer and lipstick. If I go to somewhere fancy I will do a full face with smokey eyes and stuff, otherwise the same old thing.

I started a new job and I’ve been wearing makeup every weekday going to work. I used to work from home and would just wear sunscreen and lipgloss most days, and would wear makeup on the weekends. Now I don’t wear any makeup on the weekends; unless going out for an event. I like to give my skin a chance to breathe for a few days.
Sierra says
Probably more during the week but I’m more adventurous when I’m not at worj
