This series is brought to you by Buxom Color Choreography Eyeshadow. Buxom wants to inspire you to live life vividly.
Wow, you guys! I really enjoyed looking through your entries for the Makeup and Beauty Blog Buxom Photo Contest. Thank you for sharing your pictures and stories of how you live your life vividly.
There were so many great pictures! It was very hard to choose among so many good entries, but I’ve narrowed it down to the nine potential winners shown below.
The winner of the contest and the $609 prize is featured in one of the pics above. He or she will be contacted via email with details on how to claim the prize on or around June 29, 2012, and will have five days after being contacted to respond.
Thanks again for entering. I really enjoyed reading your stories and getting a glimpse into your life, and at the risk of sounding like a total cheese ball, you have inspired me to live life more vividly. 🙂
Yeah, that was pretty cheese ball…
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I would really like to know the story behind the picture where the lady gets her make up done in the hospital bed. I bet it’s a touching one!
Marian says
These are all amazing! Hard choice!
Tiffanie says
I am SO excited to be a finalist! It’s even more touching that it’s a picture of the most special day of my life, the day my son was born. Thank you for the opportunity, Karen!

I *love* the second one. She looks completely freaked out, but she’s going for it anyway 🙂 Isn’t that what living life vividly is all about, after all? Plus, she looks completely un-staged, which not all of these do. They’re all fun shots (though I’d really like to see the woman horseback riding wearing a helmet).
Molly says
Thank you so much! Definitely not staged… I’m not sure it’s possible to stage that kind of face 😉
Chelsea says
This! this is what living life vividly is about, being afraid and doing it anyway!

I love the elephant picture! As soon as I saw that I knew I wasn’t going to win…because it’s an elephant! Okay I’m jealous of that person for their experience in that photo – but glad I got to see it!
I enjoyed this contest! I even got my husband to submit his own photos and he hates having his picture taken! Thanks for the fun, Karen.

Thank you, Marilyn.
That trip almost didn’t happen. My mom was to go to Bangkok with me for two weeks. A couple of weeks before our flight, she had to cancel because her husband was in the hospital for a serious condition. He was able to go home a week before our flight, but needed a lot of care.
After crying and moaning for a couple of hours, I decided to plan a solo trip with stops on one of the islands and Northern Thailand. I jammed packed it with lots of activity. I had the best time of my life hiking, zip lining, walking the beaches, waterfalls and learning Thai massage. I met and stayed in touch with the nicest people along the way. I am so thankful that I didn’t let my fear of traveling solo hold me back from living.
Marilyn says
That sounds like an awesome experience Wendy! I don’t know if I could be that brave to travel alone. What an inspiring story behind the picture!
Charan says
OMG.. I am in a finalist list 😀
by the way, mine is the first pic with my daughter 😀

Thanks for the pick Karen! I’m picture #3.
I would have posted one of me wearing makeup, but even I don’t get done up for the beach.

These photos are so great- thanks for posting them.

Ah I can’t believe I am a finalist. I’m the oneon the horse. Sunny and I have been together for almost 12 years now. I got him as a 6 month old that was in desperate need of a home and love and we’ve been absolutely inseperable since. He’d walk through fire for me if I’d asked him to and has been My partner in rescuing and rehabilitating other horses that have been unloved and finding them a human who loves them as much as I love sunny. This shot captures sunny in his most joyful moment ( besides eating haha). He loves to ride at the beach and it’s his favorite when we go swimming and running through the water so he can make the biggest splashes possible. Where I live, the ocean never gets above 50 degrees. It makes for some exciting rides! Thank you so much for choosing me as a finalist. It means the world to me that my special boy is seen special by everyone else too.

I’m in the amazon jungle right now doing jaguar research and conservation efforts and the internet is a little touch and go.)

Just wondering if you ever picked a winner? 🙂
Karen says
Yup, they were sent an email!
