The $300 Vera Wang LOOK Perfume Giveaway!

Can I just say that Vera Wang rocks? She does. And with her newest scent, Vera Wang LOOK ($70 for a 1.7-oz bottle of eau de parfum), she gives us a much-appreciated break from all the fruity florals that dominated fragrance counters this summer and fall (*ahem,* Harajuku Lovers), huzzah!
Let me just come out and say it: I love Vera Wang LOOK.
First, I’ll start by saying what it’s not. LOOK is not the kind of celebrity, sugary-food-fruit-combo fragrance you might find on teenage girls at the mall. It smells all grown up — sexy and mature — but isn’t stuffy or matronly at all. It’s a light scent with a sparkling mix of citrus and freesia, and wearing it makes me feel like a young, sharp woman who finally has her sh*t together.
I can’t stop sniffing my wrists! On my skin, LOOK opens with a burst of mandarin orange and green, grassy notes. As the day wears on, strong freesia (with just a touch of jasmine) emerges. When LOOK finally winds down at the end of the day, it becomes a soft mix of musky vanilla.
Picture yourself making your entrance at a formal cocktail party. All eyes turn to you, the elegant woman wearing Vera Wang LOOK. You’re dressed to the nines in black with some killer Louboutin heels, but you’re also friendly, welcoming and intriguing to talk to!

The Prize
The winner receives a 1 oz bottle of Vera Wang LOOK parfum elixir, personally signed by Vera Wang. Unlike a watered-down eau de toilette, a parfum elixir is highly concentrated, expensive and coveted for its purity of scent. Straight up: for a premier fragrance, you want the elixir. ‘Nuff said.
It’s limited edition and comes in an elegant flacon bottle with a cut crystal stopper.

Ooooh this sounds right up my street, I cant stand sweet smelling scents they make me feel physically sick as the day winds on and I love anything with Jasmine in!
I have been wearing the original Coco by Chanel recently which is a really grown up scent which I never saw myself wearing but Im falling in love with it more and more every day!

i spotted this fragrance whilst perussing yesterday, sprayed some on my wrist and like you couldn’t stop smelling my wrist for the rest of the day, what an absolutely delightful fragrance this is - i am so in love with “the look”- thank you vera wang for a delightful , gorgeous flirty fragrance!

when you mentioned the fragrances you might find on a teenage girl, that made me think about lancome’s “miracle”. i wore that the first couple years of high school, and even though i love the scent, can’t bring myself to wear it again. it reminds me way too much of high school. i’d love to try “look” now!

You are so right about the Harajuku Lovers. I LOVE Gwen and that line. I am ashamed at the number of handbags of hers that I have and was so darn excited when her perfume came out. I LOVE LOVE the packaging (why are we such suckers for that?) but the quality is drug store. It made me so sad

I’m always on the lookout for a nice perfume - I’m very picky and don’t like overly sweet perfumes. This one sounds so amazing that I will have to go check it out (given my chances of winning it…).

After reading your review, I can’t wait to sniff it at the perfume counter although not sure if it’s in Canada yet! perfume elixir sounds very tempting, since it’s in pure form so I can understand the price and the signature!
To tell the truth, I was into britney fantasy, sweety smell, but I still like, just that a lot of drugstore has similar celeb girly fragrance, so I’m ready to try something new. i have really enjoyed subscribing to your blog. i used to be a makeup artist, and even though i’m not in the biz anymore, i still try to keep up with everything. i’ll leave you with one of my favorite sayings………there IS hope in a bottle!

When I smell something beautiful and yummy, I can’t help but to sniff my wrists as well. I don’t own a bottle of Vera Wang’s perfume, but my sister is in love with all of her fragrances. I love sweet smelling perfumes, but I love daringly, sexy and mature scents even more. So, I’d love to own a bottle of Vera Wang’s “LOOK!” The description of it sounds awesome.
