I stayed too long at my University. I was there three years and was only at sophomore credit level. I should have been close to graduating but for some reason I didn't have enough hours. I didn't want to keep going to a school where I didn't care about anything and keep taking out loans. Debt is not cool. At any rate, the program seemed like a joke. I feel like I'll actually use my brain now and enjoy learning again. I'll be 21 on May 21st (my golden birthday!), so I'm still young. I'm not worried about switching schools and starting over. Most people would just probably stay in the situation rather than try to figure a better solution. You mentioned that you're thinking about working as a paralegal. I used to work in the legal field as a legal assistant and if you get good lawyers it's a good gig. It pays well and you can basically more anywhere in the country and get a job. I was at the University of Arkansas studying journalism but I felt the program just wasn't really doing it for me. I mostly just felt like the professors (even the Masters & PhD profs) didn't care about anything but the pay. There are a few kids that come out of the program with some extra knowledge but I went in knowing a lot and left with nothing new. I've always been really good at English (with some faults in grammar haha) but I seriously just could NOT! learn anything new.
