- Bobbi Brown Platinum Collection — This time Bobbi gives us several new lipgloss and cream eyeshadow colors, along with a limited edition Shimmer Brick. The color palette’s a mix of cool gray, pink and peach, with a dash of purple.
- Chanel Summer 2009 Cote D’Azur — Unlike the smokey eyes and creamy bold lips of the Spring 2009 Bohemian Fantasy Collection, Cote D’Azur is all about soft bronzes with pops of vibrant, glossy color on the lips.
- MAC Grand Duos Mineralize Blush Collection — MAC added a twist to these new Mineralize Blushes by injecting each pan with a complementary solid shade in a frosty finish. The result is a split personality blush duo, half multi-colored shimmer, half solid frost, meant to be swirled together and worn on the cheeks for a shimmery glow.
- Barbie Loves Stila — Each of the new BLS beauty cans comes with lipgloss, mascara and a gaw-geous coordinating palette with two eyeshadows and a blush. The Foxy can’s sassy, summery orange, gold and berry shades command attention, while the Jewel can’s makeup in shades of pink, peach and brown is all about flirty and fun.
- MAC Sugarsweet Collection — Just one look at the MAC Sugarsweet Collection set my sweet tooth throbbing. This pastel confection of pink, green and peach eyeshadows, lipsticks, glosses and Mineralize Skinfinish Powders reminds me of cupcakes, candies and all the tasty goodies associated with stretchy pants.
- Dior Cristal Collection Summer 2009 — There’s shimmer in them thar hills! These blues, corals and pinks get me so excited that my mind feels like it’s going a zillion miles a minute.
Bon dia!
Good morning, ladies. 🙂 I hope yours got off to a good start. I’m sitting here nursing a cup of coffee, surfing the web and waiting for my Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask to dry.
This morning I got a nice e-mail from reader Megan letting me know about an amazingly awesome sale going on at Too Faced right now, with select items up to 75 percent off.
I’ve got a whole lotta $5 eyeshadows in my cart right now, LOL! The sale ends April 6.
How’s your Saturday so far?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Wow… those prices are amazing! Thanks for sharing!
I’m enjoying Saturday sunshine and a cup of Starbucks… trying to bribe myself into doing unpleasant chores and work. 😉
Karen says
Hi Christina,
You’re welcome. 🙂 Happy shopping!
Um, can you send some of that sunshine my way? It’s gloomy and wet here once again, le sigh!
Did you get all your chores done? I’m about to head to the gym in a few.
Kim says
I will DEFINITELY be hittin’ up the TooFaced sale. $5 dollar eyeshadow? Holla’ at a poor college girl! haha.
Hope your weekend is going well.
Karen says
Hi Kim,
RIGHT? Too Faced makes some great eyeshadows, too. They are very pigmented and are sooo much fun for party looks.
What are you studying right now in school? Are you enjoying it?
Kim says
I’m actually in transition mode right now. I was at the University of Arkansas studying journalism but I felt the program just wasn’t really doing it for me. I mostly just felt like the professors (even the Masters & PhD profs) didn’t care about anything but the pay.
There are a few kids that come out of the program with some extra knowledge but I went in knowing a lot and left with nothing new. I’ve always been really good at English (with some faults in grammar haha) but I seriously just could NOT! learn anything new.
Anyway, so I’m switching down to community college and trying something new: Criminal justice! I don’t really know what I’ll do with it, other than be like a paralegal or a legal secretary…
I start in the summer so, I’m pretty excited about that change. I need somethin’ new in my life.
How about you? What are you studying? (I don’t think I’ve ever read about it…?)
Karen says
Hi Kim,
I graduated ten years ago with a dual major in English and Biology (kind of random, I know). Right now I’m taking a journalism class as a refresher course. I’ve taken them before but it’s been awhile.
It sounds like you made a mature decision to try something different. Most people would just probably stay in the situation rather than try to figure a better solution.
You mentioned that you’re thinking about working as a paralegal. I used to work in the legal field as a legal assistant and if you get good lawyers it’s a good gig. It pays well and you can basically more anywhere in the country and get a job. If you have time I suggest you do an internship to see if you like the work and the environment.

ahhhh another adorable pic of Tabs! im loving all the cute poses with accessories/makeup you put him with.. makes me smile every time 😀
Kim says
Yes, Biology and English are random together but considering you’re a cosmetics geek they both must come in handy.
I stayed too long at my University. I was there three years and was only at sophomore credit level. I should have been close to graduating but for some reason I didn’t have enough hours. I didn’t want to keep going to a school where I didn’t care about anything and keep taking out loans. Debt is not cool. At any rate, the program seemed like a joke.
I feel like I’ll actually use my brain now and enjoy learning again. I’ll be 21 on May 21st (my golden birthday!), so I’m still young. I’m not worried about switching schools and starting over.
