Sundays without Tabs the Cat, Makeup and Beauty Blog Mascot, Nov. 23

Published in: Just For Fun

Before leaving for Florida, we got Tabs a suite at Cat’s Cradle, a kitty hotel/pet boarding facility, because we didn’t want to worry about him while we were away.

Most kennel/boarding facilities (I found Cat’s Cradle on Yelp) charge between $8-$17/day and usually include meals. You get the peace of mind of knowing that someone is looking after your pet, which means not having to worry about flaky cousin Fred forgetting to refill the water bowl.

Well… at least that’s the idea. I just got a call from Cat’s Cradle. Tabs escaped! He was last seen at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. Can you help me find him in this picture (click for a larger version)?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

P.S. Jen’s wedding and reception went off without a hitch. There were no serious injuries on the dance floor, although I think a middle-aged groomsman might have pulled a muscle doing the worm, LOL! Here are some pics…

Oh Karen you look beautiful! Good choice of colors for your make up! Did you use the Chanel quad? Your skin looks just lovely.Your friend Jen is Phillipina right? I love that her husband wore the traditional shirt ( I don’t know how to spell the name of the shirt barang?? ). My best friend is Phillipina and I was her maid of honor. I flew to the Phillipines for her wedding. There were like 16 people in the bridal party. Looks like your friend was able to keep it a little smaller. She looked absolutely stunning! Great make up artist! Thanks for sharing the pics with us! I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday in Florida. I’m glad everything went ok with El Hub’s mom!

LOL… and of course, the reception had a cha-cha and a line dance. You know how it goes.

  51. Karen says:

    Hi Briana,

I’ll ask her who is the designer when I talk to her next. Maybe you can bookmark it and when your time comes you’ll have it to refer to. It never hurts to be prepared. 🙂

  52. Karen says:

    Hi Miss QQ,

I ended up going with Beiges de Chanel. 🙂

Yup, he’s wearing a traditional Filipino men’s shirt used for special occasions called a barong! My dad and bro also wore those at my wedding a few years back.

  53. Karen says:

    Hi Rosie,

No worries! Tabs is safe and sound. 🙂

Those are BCBGirls shoes. I bought them a few years ago on a deep discount ($20). I wish I knew the name of the style so I could tell you!

  54. Karen says:

    Hi Dao,

I know! He is a cat that loves to explore. 🙂

So far I’m really liking your state. I am terrified of running into a ‘gator, though, LOL!

  56. Karen says:

    Hi Lilan,

Yeah, I’m here in Key West for a few more days. I hope you enjoyed your time in the OC. Will you be back for the holidays?

  57. Jaime says:

Oh – you and the bride look LOVELY! On a random note, my husband has a friend that is Phillipino (I’m sure I spelled that wrong), and he was in his wedding, and wore a shirt just like one of the groomsmen had on in your picture! Was either the bride or the groom from the Phillipines? I adored her veil, too. So beautiful! I’m glad the Beiges de Chanel quad worked so well, too – it was lovely on you! Glad the event went well – and hope your MIL is doing great. 🙂

  58. Elle says:

You look gorgeous (as does your friend)! I also don’t know why a non-Filipino guy in a barong always cracks me up, but it does. 🙂

  59. Tiera says:

Looks like Tabs found some new friends!

And you ladies look lovely! I especially love the bride’s veil!
