Tabs, smiling with his eyes…
As you know, Tabs has long been considered a leader among fashion-forward felines in the plus-size kitty modeling industry, but now he’s set his sights on crazy cat ladies.
They’ve been his biggest bipedal supporters, both literally and figuratively, so he’s spearheading a global initiative to expand fashionable clothing options for CCLs.
It’s all about distribution and networking. Here are some of the pieces and designers Tabs likes for the project.
1. Cat print dress with black collar
Okay, so the rounded collar — is it too cutesy for a 36-year-old blogger (who shall remain nameless; it’s me)? If I was 19, though, I’d rock the hell out of this with black tights and motorcycle boots.
Price: $95
Availability: Available now online at the Vicious Threads Etsy shop.
2. Secretary cat sweatshirt
To the kitty featured on this sweatshirt, call me. My employer is looking for another assistant.
Seriously, the glasses, the note pad, the bow-tie blouse… Too perfect for words.
(Reminds me a little of what Miu Miu did a couple years back.)
Price: $38
Availability: Available now online at the Rosie Music Etsy shop.
3. Eco fashion cat sweatshirt
Both models in this picture look like they’re deep in thought.
Doesn’t the sweatshirt look comfy? Tabs suspects that the feline featured is a tabby (see the M on his forehead?).
Price: $30
Availability: Available now online at the Sealmaiden Etsy shop.
4. Cute lady queen cat screen-printed white T-shirt
Um, is that cat wearing a tiara, a beehive AND cat eye makeup? SOLD.
Price: $16.99
Availability: Available now online at the TShirt99 Etsy shop.
5. Cat print scarf
Go from meh to meow in a kitty heartbeat with this black-and-white cat print chiffon scarf.
Price: $15
Availability: Available now online at the Prototypedesign Etsy shop.
6. Matching cat print chiffon pleated skirt
Feeling extra catty? Pair the above scarf with the matching skirt!
That’s cute X2!
Price: $38
Availability: Available now online at the Prototypedesign Etsy shop.
7. Two peas in a pod Siamese cats sweatshirt
We are Siamese, if you please (and even if you don’t).
Price: $34
Availability: Available now online at the Nicandthenewfie Etsy shop.
8. Soft burnout Tee with golden cat
A basic black tee goes with everything. Plus, this kitty bears a striking resemblance to someone I know…
Price: $34
Availability: Available now online at the 1AEON Etsy shop.
9. “Real men love cats” Tee
I’m buying this shirt for El Hub, and dagnabbit! — he’s going to wear it.
Price: $22
Availability: Available now online at the rctees Etsy shop.
Who is Tabs the Cat? About four years ago I befriended a stray, flea-bitten tabby cat with a bad case of worms. I could see he’d fallen on hard times, but his profound knowledge of high fashion and department store cosmetics led me to believe that he was more than meets the eye. We became fast friends, and now he’s actually my boss (and a successful kitty model). 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Tabs tries to be everywhere online, but his favorite social network is Twitter (@partywithtabs). If you’re interested, you can see what else Tabs has been up to lately in the archives here.

Awwww!
I like the Siamese cats, since two of out cat are half-Siamese full brothers. They love being with each other – eating, sleeping, playing. So cute!

I LOVE the Breakfast at Tiffany’s cat shirt. In London I saw a show with a whole series: Holly Golightly, Yoda, the Queen, Sherlock Holmes and loads of others. It was brilliant.
Karen B says
Of course I meant to say shop instead of show…

*gasps* I think I need this scarf! I’m going to look into it once I finish typing this comment, but I’m afraid I’ve got another parcel from the US on its way here!
Thanks for finding all the fabulous items for us, Karen (and isn’t Etsy a dangerous dangerous website? lol)!
Sunny @ Mostly Sunny says
OK that’s it, I bought the beige one AND the black one. One is for my bestie who is also a cat lady haha
Becca says
I love the look of a peter-pan collar–but I personally would NEVER be able to pull one off!! I think with your personality though, you could totally rock it.
Karen says
Aww, thanks Becca. 🙂

Hi Karen & TabsTheFab!!!
Im back from the depths of the flu … It hit me Friday night and I was down for the count.
Anyway — I want the tshirt w/ the beehive. Off to Etsy!
Remember when Target came out w/ the Jason Wu collection? He had a couple of cat items and I just happened to find the scarf on sale at my nearby Target. From 20something bucks, I was able to snag it for 7.99. 🙂 Happy cat lady!
Karen says
I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better. And color me jealous that you found that scarf!!!
Dao says
t-shirt #4 is Audrey Catburn. I want it so much!
Tekoa says
I need #5 and #6 in my life so much! And I hate wearing skirts
Karen says
That cat print scarf if the SH*Z!
JennySue Makeup says
My blog name, JennySue, was actually inspired by my grandmother’s siamese cat who all my life I was obsessed with bc the cat always looked like she was wearing eyeliner around her eyes! And my name is actually Jennifer Suzanne, thus my granny shortened my names to create JennySue for her cat! So I too am a cat lover, however can’t have one in my house bc the hubby is highly allergic- boo.
Lots of useless info for you today about myself, ha!!! I think Betsey Johnson just created a cat print dress I saw on Twitter recently-so felines are a hot look!
Karen says
Haha, sometimes I like to think that Tabs wears guyliner. One of his nicknames is “Smokey Eyes.” LOL!
Bummer that you guys are allergic. Tabs will have to be your virtual kitty!
Christine says
So tempting! I really want the kitty scarf!!
Karen says
I think I might need to break down and get it. Tabs is insisting that I up my wardrobe game. 😉
Erika says
I think this post is so adorable! It caught my attention because I’m tired of seeing the “classic cat” stuff. There are some really great examples of highly fashionable cat gear! Love your blog!
Jane says
Wouldn’t miss a “Sundays with Tabs” post, even if it if IS Monday. Love the CCL stuff.
Lillybeth says
Karen! The secretary cat concept probably came from the fact that large bow-ties on blouses are actually *called* pussy bows! (Maybe you deliberately avoided that word?!) But that’s the perfect picture of a pussy bow blouse. 😀

Lovely Cats. I like the last one 🙂
