Heya, ladies. How was your weekend? I can hardly believe it, but the holidays are officially over. Seems like Christmas came and went before I knew what happened.
For Tabs, it was a rough New Year’s. He came down with a kitty cold a few days ago and has been sneezing and coughing up a storm. He’s on antibiotics and sleeping even more than usual, which for a cat means he’s up maybe 15 minutes a day.
The photo of San Francisco’s steep Lombard Street at the top of this post uses a Photoshop technique I’ve been wanting to try. It’s called tilt-shift and supposedly gives the illusion of a miniature model (click to see a larger version). That’s Tabs there in the corner. He says hi. 🙂
Hope your week gets off to a good start!

Lombard is such a cool street, I really like that effect! Did you use a special lens? I’m going around the city tomorrow to take some pictures so I might try this out–it was very effective, most especially in the larger view of the image, and of course, Tabs is a very cute addition =)
I hope you had a good weekend!

By the way, would you say that MAC’s Soft Wave lipgloss from the upcoming Blonde, Brunette, and Redhead collection is similar to Clinique’s Sugarfull lipgloss? It’s a pretty neutral colour, but I hate having glosses that are so similar =(

It works! Looks like a miniature to me. 🙂

Hi Christina,
Good luck to you, too! I hope you have a great week. 🙂

Hi Lesley,
Nope, no special lens. The blurred and miniature effects in the pic were done with Photoshop! Shooting in SF is so much fun… what camera do you use?
Regarding Soft Wave, it’s more peachy than Sugarfull (which on me looks very pink and cool), and basically would function as a neutral. If Sugarfull already is working for you, then you probably don’t have to get it unless you’re looking for something with a warmer peach tone.
Hope this helps. 🙂

🙂 Thanks! Have a happy Monday!

Hi Karen,
All 3 of my cats got kitty colds, one after another in the months of Nov & Dec. So we had to take 3 cats to the vet (NOT fun!) and have them on all medicine. That wound up costing a pretty penny fo sho!
