But I have been a cat lover all my 55 years and have never been without at least one. I loved them all very, very much; each was so special for it's own reasons. Over the years, I have always had various cats named Charlie, in particular. Charlies are always solid black with golden eyes, never green; they can be either male or female (in which case it's short for Charlotte or Charlene), and may be long- or short-haired. No, I'm not an old-maid; I've been married for 36 years and had four children and one grandchild! I just love kitties! Right now, i only have two.
