Many kitty supermodels are so busy napping, eating and pouncing that they neglect their creative side.
This is why Tabs decided to start publishing his own series of graphic novels last year (“The Husky Tabby”). He didn’t care if other cats thought it was strange, or if any of the comics were bestsellers (even though “Turning Point” was), because he didn’t do it for anyone else. He did it to express his feline creativity.
Still, other cats noticed.
In July, the cat division at Marvel called and helped produce “Surely You Jest.”
What started as a creative outlet has since become a profitable side gig: feline graphic novels.
Fast forward to now… This fall, Tabs begins a completely new series, and today you get to read part 1. 🙂
Introducing “Legacy!”
Check back next Sunday, October 5, for part 2! 🙂

GIRL. What font is that in your Tabs image? It looks great!
Cat Lady says
*”Sundays With Tabs” image, that is.

This is so much fun. Thank you Tabs for sharing your creativity with the world. I can’t wait to see what happens in part 2!

It’s my pleasure, sarahc, and my honored responsibility.
Awesomely yours,

Hello fellow, cat lady! 🙂
It’s called Prisma. It’s very groovy, isn’t it? You can download it for free on dafont.com.
Kim says
Tabs, I don’t want to be a reactionary but something must be done. Choupette has crossed the line from “occasional annoyance” to nefarious super villain. The dastardly feline must be stopped! 🙂
tabs says
Kim, I couldn’t agree more. She has the human world fooled! But I see through her fabulous feline facade…
I hope you liked my comic. 🙂
Much love,
Tabs

Gosh… We have a huge problem now… Tabs your assistant and you are invited to come here in BR and do a special research to find some endemic red catnip! 😉
Karen says
Hi Adriana,
That’s very kind of you! While we’re there we could do some sightseeing because I’ve always wanted to visit Brazil.
Sylirael says
Oh no! Tabs! Your memory is amazing, but sadly it isn’t a legal document! You must remember to keep a physical (not digital) notebook of all your laboratory research, and guard it with your life so that Choupette will never be able to take your discoveries from you, and the patents and glory shall all be yours!
Also – if you’ve figured out the essential molecular component from the Brazilian red catnip that works, you can do a total (green) synthesis and never have to rely on the plants themselves again! (also better for the environment, which is great PR)
Loved this! Sorry I (research chemist myself, LOL) got kind of carried away 😉
tabs says
Dearest Sylirael,
I appreciate the esteem with which you hold my memory. You are correct — it is truly amazing. It is actually so amazing that I rely on it quite extensively to record my findings and track my research. I do this primarily for two reasons: 1) security, as I find that the contents of my kitty brain are less likely to be stolen than notebooks and iPhones; and 2) my lack of opposable thumbs to wield writing implements.
Thank you kindly for the biochemistry tip. I will keep you posted on my research with an update next week. 😉
Warmest regards,
Tabs
