Who is Tabs the Cat?
About seven years ago I befriended a stray, flea-bitten tabby cat with a bad case of worms. I could see he’d fallen on hard times, but his profound knowledge of high fashion and department store cosmetics led me to believe that he was more than meets the eye. We became fast friends, and now he’s actually my boss (and a successful kitty model).
The sun was out in full force today, as were the neighborhood crows…
But more on that in a second. 🙂
Tabs went for a wonderful walk this afternoon and soaked up plenty of outdoor adventure and sunshine.
He had a blast. First, he met one of our new neighbors who, despite pet assisting for an unruly Rhodesian Ridgeback, turned out to be quite nice. The man even gave Tabs a quick scratch under the chin.
Tabs got his fill of grass, too. He was workin’ it like a lawnmower, LOL! Everything was going great until a pair of HUGE crows, evidently unafraid of me and Tabs, landed nearby and started cawing.
“Go away! Go away!”
That’s how it sounded…
Tabs didn’t know what to make of ’em. He didn’t attack. He just stared, curiously.
For Tabs, it was the most thrilling walk of the year so far.
And in kitty modeling news, Tabs has been keeping busy, of course. With spring finally here, the winter campaigns are finished, and now it’s time for outdoor activities, travel and water/leisure sports.
Yup, it’s a good time to be a kitty supermodel. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. I hope you had a great weekend. Tabs says, “mrrow!” 🙂

Ah I just love your edits Karen! They are always so cute and creative! If only I had your mad photo editing skills..;)

All it takes is practice, girl! You can get there too. I’ve been kitty modeling professionally for 6-7 years. That’s a LOT of practice. 🙂
Heart ya,
Tabs

Aww Tabs, he looks happy lounging in the grass. Mingy is bummed b/c we don’t have a yard yet in our new place, so no grasses to nom on. However, he does enjoy rolling around in the dirt. Such a nature boy!

Mingy sounds like a cat after my own heart. Last weekend my assistant installed an indoor grass-dispenser/potted grass planter to meet my salad needs because the outdoor grass salad bar was destroyed by avian thugs. Highly recommended. 🙂

Maybelline Perfect Pose really is the perfect pose. Tabs looks gorgeous in pink eyeshadow.
Wow, I can’t believe this is volume 290 of Sundays with Tabs!
tabs says
Thank you very much, Sarahc. That’s my “Oh, look at that bird over there!!” pose. It took me years of practice to perfect it.
Yup, 290 weeks is a lifetime in the cat-eat-cat world of kitty supermodeling.
Heart ya,
Tabs

Tabs, I’m so glad you’re enjoying some fun in the sun. While you were filling up on grass, your youngest cousin was filling up on Nerf darts. Wish him luck at the vet today! 🙁

Cat Pink Eye! Noooo!

I just adore your cat! My first cat that unfortunately passed away from FIP not too long ago would of looked just like Tabs if he would of grown up.
Karen says
I’m so sorry for your loss, PianoGirl. Sending you hugs from both me and Tabs. XO

I love the mimosa tum tint, Tabs!
I think once it gets a wee bit warmer here, I’ll take Quincy’s exercise pen out to the yard so he can chow down on some grass. I’ve been thinking of planting treats for him in our garden beds, but I’ve never gardened before…

And this just made my day! Cute tabs ads!!!

He’s all about the drugstore brands. 🙂
