QUESTION: Do I ever sneak, steal or borrow fragrances from El Hub?
Well, does a cat like cardboard? (That would be a resounding “yes.”)
I do it all the time, like his Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme?
Man, I love that stuff…
It’s in the medicine cabinet in our bathroom, and sometimes I’ll “borrow” it when I’m in the mood for something a little less floral than my usual uber-girly scents.
Yeah, the whole borrowing thing is one of the main reasons I keep our shower stocked with “El Hub’s favorite” (in air quotes) shower gel, Lush Dirty Springwash.
Because, you know, I, um…use it on occasion.
I can also confirm that the latest addition to El Hub’s fragrance stash, L’Occitane’s Mer & Mistral — a fresh, aquatic potion of pine, cypress and rosemary notes evocative of the Mediterranean — is perfectly suited to both men and women.
I recently placed bottles of Mer & Mistral Shower Gel (bubbles!) and Fresh Body Gel (absorbs so fast!) on El Hub’s shelf in the bathroom, but they have slowly migrated (purely of their own accord!) to my area. 🙂
So, my friend, dish the deets! Do you ever borrow, sneak or steal scented products from your significant other? Inquiring fragrance fiends want to know…
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Light Blue is great but unfortunately not my husband’s style. But what I have been known to do is use my son’s cologne. Yeah…he’s 3! 🙂
Jacardi baby boy smells soooooo good. Clean and fresh like ocean air. I LOVE it.

Yes, hahaha! You are seriously the bomb! I have only men’s fragrance samples out for use right now 🙂 I have always enjoyed fragrances but now most of them equal pain. There’s something in women’s fragrances that has a tendency to give me headaches…now a lot of them even smell the same. Men’s fragrances are complex and gorgeous and I’m just more impressed with them! 😀

No, never. And I never would either, I think. When we’re getting ready together in the morning and he busts out the Axe, I duck away real quick because I hate it when he gets his manly man smell all over me!

Umm not that we share douche gel and shampoo , but scent not but I should his cologne smells amazing.

I used to.. We have gone our separate ways but Terre d’Hermès and Eau de Narcisse Bleu ( I offered that one to him ) yes I often did it. There is still a bottle of Terre here, he would use so little. In fact each man you love leaves you with scented memories, sadly enough I always offer a fragrance to the man I love, I can’t help myself.

yes…once..i used a major portion of his bath gel from Bath and body works (called as pour de home or something). I wanted a different fragrance and thus the steal…ahem…borrowing 🙂

I have a big ol’ bottle of Old Spice body wash in Denali (not Swagger, which I think is the weirdest/ funniest “scent”) that I bought for my bf to use when he visits (we are looooong distance right now). I’ll fess up to using it occasionally.

I’m gay so it works out perfect haha. If I’m dating someone and she’s got good smelling stuff in her bathroom, I’m definitely borrowing it :p Especially if it’s Victoria’s Secret!

I love a unisex scent. My husband doesn’t like anything to burly manly anyhow. We have two colognes we share. They smell a bit different on both of us but they are in the same spectrum. He has his own stuff too but those two smell equally good on both of us. I also use mens deodorant.

Ha ha! yes there is only one thing we really don’t know who it belongs too and occasionally have pull-fights over.. Tom Ford Oud Wood! Both of us love it and sneak it all the time!

My fiance actually has the best cologne ever, IMO: Bleu De Chanel (yup, I picked it) and I don’t really borrow it, but I do sniff it from time to time… it just smells soo good!

yess.. I do sometimes.. I gifted him Pacco Rabbane Million Dollar EDP but I liked it so much that I often borrowed it from him..

Zack is super into cologne, owns 5 and is still going (he “needs” Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb, which I like, so I’m not complaining!) His others he own are Burberry Brit, Burberry Weekend, Burberry Touch (clearly he loves the Burberry), Jean Paul-Gaultier Le Male Terrible, and Diesel Only the Brave. The first one he had was the Jean Paul Gaultier that I bought him, after he liked the sample we got from Sephora. I’ve repurchased it for him since, he used up the first bottle.
I borrow his Old Spice antiperspirant if I’m out! But I like feminine fragrances usually! We share soap, shampoo, body wash, etc.

I use hubby’s Irish Spring soap (love the smell) and his Bath and Body Works Twilight Woods shower gel. I think masculine scents on women are super sexy and a refreshing change from the usual girly scents. I love how fresh the scents are, too. When I do buy perfume (which isn’t terrible often), I tend to buy fresh smelling stuff, like Versace Yellow Diamond, Dior Midnight Poison (love the rose smell – it has a very Angelina Jolie/mysterious feel to it), and in terms of body sprays, I love anything with a “cool rain,” “sunshine,” or “sea” scent.

Light Blue pour homme, YES!! Love that perfume!

i JUST tried the mer & mistral fragrance at a l’occitane store and it’s amazing! my husband uses everyman jack products and i steal that stuff all the time!

I admittedly do not have a significant other at the moment, but I liked the post and would venture to add that I have often been tempted to buy men’s products! The Jack Black stuff in particular really appeals to me, but I haven’t actually gone and tried it yet.
