Just in time for the VIB sale

Just in time for the VIB sale

Aw, don’t make me get out of bed!

So sleepy…

The only thing that could get me out of bed right now is the thought of going to Sephora.

No, really, I’m going to another one of those classes this morning. This one’s Eyebrow & Eye Contour (I think).

I wish I could participate remotely from my bed…in my pajamas, with my cat next to me. But I guess that wouldn’t be the same. 🙂

My brother is visiting this weekend, so I have to go downstairs soon and tiptoe around him so I don’t wake him up while I make my decaf coffee…which really doesn’t work to wake you up, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Whatever you do today, I hope it involves a nap, or perhaps multiple naps. Naps are for Saturdays, and Saturdays are for naps.

Thank you for visiting, my friend. Have a wonderful day.

My last purchase was the ysl blur perfector!

  12. Alex says:

My last Sephora purchase was the Hourglass Ambient Edit palette. I was so tired of waiting for it to launch internationally and missed it when it came on net a porter and got sold out in hours. So I couldn’t wait any longer and ordered it from Sephora. Only after that I realized that if I had waited a couple of days, it would have been my birthday month and I would have gotten my Nars bday present. Took me a while to get over that fact but what can you do… I just had to have the palette.

  13. Joselyn Hernandez says:

I store most of my makeup in the bathroom, but really wish I had a better set-up! It can be hard to find stuff 😛

  15. Gina B. says:

    Hi Karen!

I absolutely adore sunsets and sunrises!!! The last thing that I bought at Sephora was that Urban Decay Setting Spray. I want, so want the Tart Holiday Palette with all the sequins. I can’t remember the name…. you blogged it so beautifully. I can’t afford it though. So the card would go alone way to help get it!!!

    I have three leather jackets.

Oh and Karen, I was going to ask you a question. What is your favorite primer? I’m using Smashbox Photo Finish but it make my make up look so heavy and “made up”. Can you recommend on that is midrange price that doesn’t do that? I do have acne scarring and large pore issues (sadly) and I have combo – partially oily/dry skin. I’m experiencing dry flakes right now bad. I believe it’s my acne medicine. Anyhoodles. I’d appreciate.

  16. Lee says:

Thanks for keeping your blog up-to-date! I love checking it and reading new stuff.

  17. Jennifer Pham says:

The last time I traveled out of the country was when I was 10 years old – about 15 years ago! I went to Vietnam. One day, I’ll go back.

  20. Lyse Davitt says:

I store my make up in an Ikea cart. I believe it’s bent for the kitchen but it is huge and works great.

  21. HeraKitty says:

Ala Moana (Hawaii) has the best sunset Ive ever seen. Every dusk is a sight to behold. Feelings of romance or pensiveness cannot be helped. 😊 Aloha kakahiaka! (Good morning!)

  22. MomofTwins says:

My last purchase was the Sun Safety kit that Sephora comes out with each spring! Love it so much. I give the Origins moisturizer to my daughters (they’re only 8 but it has SPF and they have a tendancy towards dry skin…never too early to start protecting your skin!) and I enjoy trying all the rest of the products. I’ve gone back to school so not many fun beauty purchases lately but it will pay off in the end. 🙂 Such a fun giveaway! I have about 7 things in my cart to remind me what I’d like for Christmas/birthday wishes (dying to try the tarte 5 blush set and Mario Badescu facial spray!) 🙂

  23. MomofTwins says:

Oh goodness, I just set up feedly and didn’t realize this post was from July! Still a fun giveaway, love the comment suggestions 🙂

  31. Colleen Boudreau says:

I store my makeup in Ikea Helmer drawers.

  32. Grace says:

hallo Karen! Hope your weekend is starting off well. The last Sephora purchase I made was the limited Bite Lib Lab lipstick for November. I think I mentioned it previously on here that I am a sucker for targeted marketing with personalized names or birthdate. It is NOT a colour I would get (all my lipsticks are pink based) but surprisingly, I actually quite like it. Was it worth the 40 CAD, now that’s a different story lol But at least I know, it will probably last until my final breath 😛

  33. Carla says:

I’ve been trying to decide whether to get any of the shiny new holiday palettes and such or just get back to my stash!

  34. Karleena says:

You mean Monday, November 9, 2015?

    • Bearby says:

I recently purchased the La Prairie Skin Caviar Lux Eye Lift Cream from a duty free store. To justify the purchase, I told my husband that the cream was for him. I totally lied…ha ha.. I have been using it everyday behind his back.

    • Karen says:

Fixed! Thank you for letting me know, Bearby! Hope you’re having a great weekend.

  36. MeaganS says:

Thanks for the chance. I made vib for the first time this year and have no idea what to get during the sale.

  37. Jacy says:

Hi Karen! I am in hibernation mode too right now. I am unemployed right now so there is no REASON to get up so it makes it even more difficult to drag myself out of bed, but stuff still needs to get done! Must be 10 times more difficult while preggo!

Let’s discuss happy topics! My most recent Sephora purchase was the Urban Decay Revolution lipgloss duo in Liar and Anarchy. Also, I bought the Buxom trio Pout Out Loud in Hot Toddy, Rebel Rose (MUST HAVE) and Gabby.

  38. Nicole says:

I store my makeup by brands, pallet, etc in an old wooden dresser that I’ve had since I was a baby and I’m 36 lol, but my mac well that is stored in 5 scrapbook see through containers because those Andre my babies (:

Thanks for this – I’ve been eyeing the dry shampoo favorite kit at Sephora!

thanks for the chance , karen !

    have a great weekend !

    • Cory says:

Omg yes! I forgot about that one! I literally put it into Google Translate the first time I saw it written (I’ve nvr seen their products outside of a blog, so I’ve nvr heard anyone say the name), & according to Translate it’s “Clee do poo”, accent heavy on the “Clee”. & it loosely translates to skin key

  53. Diana says:

The cats in the photo are reason enough to want a little Sephora goodness. Having said that, I really do enjoy trying your tips and experimenting with many looks and techniques. Thanks for taking the time to share.

  59. Nikki says:

Arizona has the most beautiful sunsets!

  60. Ren says:

Clearwater, Florida has some pretty awesome sunsets, especially when you are right on the beach and can watch the sun sink behind the ocean in the distance.

  61. Andrea T says:

The longest I’ve traveled away from home was to Singapore and Australia! I’m from Texas, so it was quite the trip! But I loved every moment of it and I definitely recommend traveling there! Both countries are beautiful!

Have fun at your Sephora class!!

  62. Aeris says:

My last Sephora purchase was the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette! And I’m totally in love with it!

I also bought the Sephora lotus face mask with it!

  64. Awww, now I miss my lil’ brother, lol 🙂 I hope you’re having a nice weekend so far, Karen! Le Husband and I went to Zermatt today, back to where he proposed to me back in the summer of 2014. My cheeks literally hurt from smiling so much all day, feeling so happy! We didn’t climb to the Matterhorn this time though. It was just a quick day trip. But still fun!

  66. Vanessa says:

I’m not sure if I’ve commented before…so I just wanna say 1) Congrats on your pregnancy! 2) You do amazing reviews 3) No, I do not own a leather jacket (mine is of the “vest variety” 4) I have been trying to think positively recently–>I arrived early to my interview and the manager arrived 1.5 hrs late from the scheduled time (but I got to meet 2 really cool ladies while I was waiting). The bus stop to go home didn’t have any buses come for 2 hrs when it was pouring rain (but I got to walk home for the 2.5 miles, it was a warm-ish day, and I felt like a little kid running and laughing in the rain). (:

  67. Laura says:

The last purchase I made at Sephora was Benefit’s air patrol.

  68. Meg says:

  70. Jenn says:

I store my most used makeup in a vanity with drawers, a decorative box with drawers, and a decorative desk organizer. Items I use less often I store in plastic organizers.

  71. Ambritt says:

My last Sephora purchase was the Too Faced Le Grand Chateau. I really should have waited for the vib 20% sale but alas beauty impatience! Thanks for the giveaway Karen!

  72. BooBooNinja says:

I do my makeup in the bathroom because it has the best lighting. Storing makeup in the bathroom is a no-no because of humdity, but I seal it all in a medium-sized Lock ‘n Lock plastic container. Exceptions are pencils and products in jars, which are stored in a cup in the medicine cabinet. I hope this is enough to combat humidity!

It’s not the prettiest storage method, but it’s deliberate and compact. I’ve tried using a makeup bag, but it’s a hassle to move it between my bathroom and bedroom. Grr.

  73. Jess says:

The last thing I got from Sephora was the giant KVD Studded Kiss collection, so I know I don’t NEED more lipsticks, but I’m still dying to try the NARS Audacious formula (Olivia is calling my name). I have a wishlist miles long including the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (not the one with tiny pans for the holiday – the original), Becca Moonstone, some single eyeshadows, perfumes…the list goes on!

  74. Aviva says:

I finally I leather jacket back from leaving it at someone’s house 2 years ago, so glad I still love it 😀 😀

My last purchase from Sephora is Josie Maran products and i store all my makeup on my bedroom, and in the boxes

  83. Amanda says:

I’m headed out the door to take the kids to the park to walk the trails. The first time I suggested it my kids didn’t want to go but now they love it. I really enjoy it because it’s exercise we can all do together. Plus I’ve noticed in a quiet environment like the woods we end up having some great conversations.

  84. Nicole says:

I would love to own a leather jacket but I hate jackets that aren’t long enough.

  85. Alli Law says:

My last Sephora purchase was a stock up on skin care haul. I got the Kate Somerville Nourish face mist, Hope in a Jar, and the FAB oatmeal mask. All extra helpful in our transition from fall to winter!

Thanks for the giveaway Karen! My last sephora purchase was a Tokyomilk dark set and the sephora brand rose sleep and eye masks. I really liked the sleep mask, and there’s definitely more than a single use in the pod, so I’m storing the leftovers in a contact case. 🙂

  91. Jenn says:

So excited for the VIB sale! My last purchase was the Stella perfume haha

Between the Sephora Rouge sale and the Nordstrom Trend Show here in Austin, Tx this weekend, I have splurged on a great haul. Thanks so much for your beauty guidance!

  94. gabis says:

My last Sephora purchase was a small Caudalie’s eau de raisin moisturizing water but I recon I’ve only purchased it so I could win Sephora’s beauty club birthday gift which was a Nars lip set with two mini lipstick pencils xD

  95. winnie says:

Florida has beautiful sunsets, especially Key West!

  96. You’ve given me so many starters. Have you tried green tea as a coffee alternative while you’re expecting? During my first trimester, I just took naps at my desk during my lunch hour. My morning sickness was too bad for me to really eat. (I survived on crackers, popsicles and pumpkin seeds! Lol. Oh, that was a tough summer.)

Although I know they say you shouldn’t store your make up in the bathroom because of the heat and humidity, that’s where they are. (Perfumes stay in the fridge, though.)

  97. Mary says:

Cape Cod has absolutely beautiful sunsets.

  98. judyo says:

  99. Ashleigh says:

I would like to know more about eye contour!
I struggle with saying Thierry Mugler out loud, simply because it’s one of those names that only sounds right if you say it with a French accent, which I could do but then I feel like the other person will think I’m being deliberately stuck-up. Conundrum! I tend to avoid saying it out loud.

  100. Mary W says:

The Florida Keys has beautiful sunsets.

  101. Rebecca says:

Yes, I own a Kelly green leather jacket. I was big into Green Arrow from Smallville. Of course now I would love to find a cute fitted black one as well.

I always have a hard time pronouncing Guerlain and unsure of correct pronunciation.

  104. Germaine Sikat says:

Hi Karen. My last Sephora purchase was the Browza Super Proof Gel Brow Pencil. It’s pretty awesome! I have black hair (proud to be Pinoy!) and the colour #3 Mink Wink is pretty awesome as it looks so natural to me. One of the best purchases ever!

  105. Bridget says:

    2. Guerlain (Did I even SPELL it right??)
    3. I own four leather jackets. Two are thrift shop finds for under $5, the other two are from Macy’s and Wilson’s.
    4. Several weeks in Southeast Asia, twice in 2015.
    5. Smashbox photo finish primer and Urban Decay eyeshadow in Suspect
    6. I try to keep it contained in vanity drawers in the bathroom. Sometimes it escapes. And I use a great makeup bag with my initials on it, a bridesmaid gift from my best friend.

  106. Bianca Rogoveanu says:

Yes, i have two leather jackets, both from MANGO.
    Thank you !

  107. Missy Mann says:

Last thing I bought at Sephora was a selection of the First Aid Beauty stuff- their Ultra Repair Cream is the best thing for my sensitive skin

  108. Jordi says:

I love traveling, but 2 weeks is about my limit, even for international travel.

I do own two leather jackets – purchased 15+ years ago. One brown bomber and one green suede baseball style. I can’t remember the last time I wore either one but for some reason I keep taking them out of the donate pile!

  109. Kara says:

Today my mom sent me a pic of a beautiful girl wearing black leggings, a white shirt, and a navy vest with the caption “it is Han Solo season”. Guess what I was wearing when she sent me the pic? Yep…you guessed it.

  113. Goode says:

    SF has amaaaaaaaaaaaazing sunsets. 🌅😍

  114. Kimm says:

Karen… Did you have awful morning sickness? This is baby #4 and this one has been the hardest yet. It’s not just morning… Afternoon, evening… Anytime I’m not sleeping. Ugh. It’s so hard teaching. I run out of my room almost every time it’s 4th period. And that’s my robotics class and there are mostly boys and they don’t understand! I’ve tried Preggie pops. I have a bean bag chair in my class that I sleep on at lunch time. I have those anti nausea bands and they, strangely, seem to work ok. I always thought they were a gimmick. My doctor perscribed me meds but I’m so scared to take anything. Did you have it bad? What worked for you? It’s so bad that I don’t even want to do makeup!!!! And when I went for my ultrasound they said the baby was measuring 7 weeks and not 8 like it had been since my period so that means I have another week of this! Boooo! I hope I feel ok for thanksgiving. I love thanksgiving. Any advice would be wonderful.
And L’occutain or however you spell it is hard to say. And I always thought Lorac was not pronounced the way it is.
I really want the new ABH “self made” pallet. Maybe buying that for myself will make me feel better
    Have a great weekend!

  115. Krystle Thomas says:

I just bought KGD foundation from Sephora during their 20% Rouge sale. Oh, and Albuquerque has beautiful sunsets.

  116. broantza says:

I just bought a Philips GoLite Blu from Costco, hope to have it delivered within a week or so. It’s getting dark really early here in Edmonton (4:30 PM) and the reviews I read said this little device actually does help with mood improvement and elevating energy levels. Well, I have 90 days to test it. Has anyone else tried such light therapy devices? Any insights? 🙂

  117. Alice says:

My last purchase at Sephora was a pretty big skincare haul, along with three Tarte cheek stains.

  118. Eileen says:

I just bought the Anastasia Self Made Palette and look forward to trying it out this week!

  119. Sandy Pincombe says:

Key West has one of the prettiest sunsets but I am also partial to our Lake Michigan sunsets.

  120. Sida says:

My last purchase from Sephora was Belief moisturizer! It’s been working great and it’s super lightweight. 🙂

  121. Cory says:

    Happy Caturday Hot Mama! 😺
Oml, is it just me or is Omorovicza difficult to pronounce? Once I hear a name spoken, I’m good from there, but I’ve nvr heard anyone say Omorovicza yet. I’m guessing that it’s “Ō-mor-ō-veek-sah”, but I’m probably wrong lol
Oooh I have a thing for sunsets!!! They are truly beautiful everywhere, but the ones I saw while in the Everglades are SEARED into my memory! It’s like the sky was so close it was touchable, plus the sun seems larger… I’ve nvr been at a lower latitude except while in the Baja, but I imagine sunsets near the equator to be super amazing in the same way.
& I just shelled out $50 (with the 20% off) for my holy grail foundation! I’m so excited that I FINALLY found one!!! It’s DiorSkin Forever in 022 Cameo. I got an awesome sample (ty Sephora!) that lasted me a month, & I didn’t break out at all! For my oily skin (T-Zone), that’s amazing because it’s NEVER happened before! Ever. And I used this foundation every single day (with the exception of Sat & Suns) for an entire month… Embarrassing to say, but I hadn’t washed my face brushes in at least 3months either…(I know that’s disgusting. They’re clean now). Oh, & I fell asleep in full makeup twice while wearing. I’m literally blown away by the Forever formula so I figured it was worth the $$.
    * plus I read somewhere that foundation, concealer, & mascara are the three products you shouldn’t skimp on, so I justified the price with that because it does make total sense. It’s your face.. Our lovely faces are worth it 😉

    * SSL! Have a great weekend!!!

One brand that I pronounce differently every time is Loccitane. I understand that it is a french word, and even though I have Googled it and asked the staff at the Loccitane store, I still can’t seem to say it properly. I’d like to think that this is cute, like when a little kids says “pasketti”, but it probably just makes me sound unsophisticated. Either way, I still love the bath bar in the milk scent. Ahhh.

  124. Charisma says:

Give Me More Lip was the last thing I bought from Sephora. 🙂

    Happy Saturday Karen,

It’s pretty chilly in Arizona today so I’ll be snuggling by the fireplace and quite possibly nodding off in my attempts at getting warm. But first I want to put on some makeup just for kicks. I like to get dolled up even if I’m not going out anywhere special. The joys of being a girl 🙂

    __Arizona________ has absolutely beautiful sunsets.

A brand name that’s very hard for you to pronounce?

Fage – I always forget how it’s pronounced but it’s my Greek yogurt of choice.

Do you own a leather jacket?

    Yes, one.

What’s the longest you’ve ever traveled away from home?

    To Virgina.

What was your last Sephora purchase?

    X nail polish.

Where do you store most of your makeup at home?

    On my vanity.

YES to naps! Sunsets are always beautiful, but I love experiencing them while on the beach 🙂

  142. At 35 weeks I’m stressed about not feeling ready, especially compared to before the first was born. And said kiddo is having a tough time, he must have had 20+ meltdowns yesterday. And I just spent his entire nap prepping and recording a video that turned out terrible. Sigh! I’d love to just record it again now, but that would be sticking the hubby on toddler duty alone on the weekend and he’d likely freak out if he could hear me talking but not be allowed in the room. At least tonight is our special treat dinner, either we’ll go out with the munchkin or get takeout. Okay, enough whining!

  143. Melinda says:

A brand that is hard for me to pronounce is giambattista valli 🙂

  144. Maddie says:

My last Sephora purchase was the Too Faced Love Flush blush in Justify My Love. It’s my fourth one of these blushes; I already have Baby Love, Love Hangover, and I Will Always Love You. The packaging is adorable as is the imprint, but the best things about the Love Flush blushes are the colors and pigmentation. ♥

  145. Tracy Robertson says:

I love the fragrance “Romance” by Ralph Loren. I spritzed on a little of the new one (or at least new to me as it’s the first time I noticed it) called “Midnight Romance” from the tester bottle at the store the other day and it smelled heavenly! I was disappointed that the scent only lasted about an hour though. But maybe that’s because I only did 2 sprays. I’ll have to go back and spray a little more liberally and see it the scent lasts. I hope it does, because I’d love to treat myself to a bottle of that if it will hold it’s scent a while. I love perfume, but sometimes it seems like we are going backwards and making it less potent as time goes on. I hate that, I want to smell good all day long!

Karen, I have been reading your blog for over 2 years and it has only just hit me that you have the same name as my mom! Why this is such a big revelation tonight I’m not sure; but it has increased my affinity for you twice over.

My last Sephora purchase was a Marc Jacobs New Nudes Lipstick in Understudy for my birthday. But with the holidays coming up, I’d really like to go back and get something nice for my mom. She likes looking at make up but keeps things pretty simple for herself, so this year I’m thinking of investing in some high quality basics for her presents.

  167. Becky says:

I wish I WISH I owned a beautiful black leather jacket.

  168. Rachel says:

I never know if I’m pronouncing Guerlain right. It doesn’t look that hard, but it’s French, so I’m probably mucking it up. I was intimidated by Illamasqua and Fyrinnae, but they are actually easy to say, just look a little difficult!

My last Sephora purchase was a month or so ago – all I got were some Shiseido (wait – add that to the list of unpronouncables!) facial cottons and OMG were they worth it! I’ve been using cheap cotton rounds for years and not thinking too much about it, but then I read about these and decided $9 wasn’t too much of a loss if they didn’t live up to the hype – but they do!! No shedding, super soft, and they don’t fall apart, no matter how saturated they are. Plus they are huge, so I can cut them in half and still have plenty.

I let my VIB status lapse this year, so I’m a wee bit jealous seeing all the haul posts, but also living vicariously through them! 😀

  169. Joanna says:

Tucson, Arizona, has spectacular sunsets. My last Sephora purchase was two Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks — love them!

My last Sephora purchase was the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Champagne Glow Palette.
My actual last makeup purchase was the Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick holiday bundle. I hope Sephora will eventually carry the brand. I’m missing six shades from the line. I want to eventually try the lip scrubs & Lip Ammunition.

Sephora order… I used my 20% off coupon to repurchase things I regularly run out of, plus I ordered a fancy-schmancy blow-dryer that’s supposed to dry my hair really fast and get rid of frizz with minimal effort… we’ll see. And for fun I added a couple of lipsticks that I’ve been dying to try but that aren’t carried in-store anywhere near me, and a fourth Viseart eyeshadow palette (Paris Nudes). I just tried a sample of the Natura Bisse The Cure Sheer Cream with SPF 20. It is beautiful. I’m hoping the Bobbi Brown Extra SPF 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm is similar enough so I don’t do something stupid. Writing about this feels like beauty addiction therapy, lol.

  417. Claudia Longoria says:

I traveled to London 2 years ago & I was so nervous about traveling for 10 hours straight!! I don’t do well for 5 hours from California to NY or Miami as it is, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Maybe because I was so excited about visiting the Downton Abbey home!!

  418. Tisha says:

So, the last thing I bought from Sephora was the limited edition pack of Bite Beauty lip crayons that come in 4 colors. Love Bite, feel their formula is amazing…

  419. Trude says:

I do not own a leather jacket 🙂

  424. Carm says:

My last Sephora purchase was MUFE Aqua Brow which I absolutely love. I own two leather jackets (over the course of 20 years) but I really want to splurge on a scuba jacket with the asymetrical zipper.
Thank you for the giveaway Karen!

  425. Marta G. says:

Hi Karen! Thank you for the giveaway!

My last purchase at Sephora was Kat Von D’s everlasting liquid lipstick in Lolita. It was the first full sized lipstick from the brand that I purchased, and I really loved it! Not really sure if it was from the ‘bad batch’ though, because it look brownier than I expected, hahaha. Anyway, it’s kind of a ‘vampy neutral’ and, well, I like it.

By the way, I love your blog but rarely comment. Keep up the good work! xoxo

  426. Katherine says:

The longest I’ve ever traveled away from home is when I studied abroad (in France) for a summer in college.

  427. Andrea Darst says:

I had 20% off at Sephora for the Friends & Family sale, and treated myself to the Hourglass Ambient Highlighter palette! Now with another 20% off, I think I may get the Ole Henricksen gel cleanser and maybe a Dior polish. Darn coupons!!! 😉

  428. Ellen says:

The last thing I bought from Sephora was the Sephora brand solid brush cleaner. It comes with a nubby silicon pad to help get brushes super clean. It’s small enough to take along when you travel.

  429. Anew says:

I picked up the Marc Jacobs the bronze brush yesterday and I’m in awe of it just looking at it…I almost don’t want to use it loll.. my next item on the list to get is a natural light coverage foundation ..I loved the Mac face body but I find the colour abit off …I think I may try the water weight since it looks so good on you!

I want to move to the Dominican! It’s so beautiful there!

  433. Diane says:

For a while, I didn’t know how to pronounce Stila. Was it Style-a? Steel-a? Still-a? And even though I asked at beauty counters, I heard different things each time. Then I heard Sandra Bullock say it on Miss Congeniality 2, and I figure they wouldn’t let their name be featured in a movie if it wasn’t said right, so now I say it the way she does. 🙂 Now on to tackle Givenchy!

  434. Swati says:

My last purchases from Sephora have been their Play boxes. I like them a lot!

  435. Anne G. says:

The longest I’ve traveled from home is actually now 🙂 I’m away for over 5 months and staying longer away. Living somewhere else i the most beautiful thing to do in my opinion. Your eyes will be opened to different languages, cultures and surroundings.

  453. Shannon M says:

My makeup is stored in several places. The things I use most are in a train case that’s easy to move around and it holds a lot, I usually keep that on my bathroom counter. Extras and occasional use products (and costume make up) are in a storage container with drawers in a bathroom cabinet. And then I have some stuff in my vanity which is in another room. At first I thought I would always do my make up at the vanity but the mirror is too low (when I sit on the stool I have to slouch to see myself in the mirror) and the lighting is not as good.

  454. Katie F says:

La Jolla has beautiful sunsets! I love watching the sun set over La Jolla Cove.

I have no idea how to say Guerlain! I think I’ve heard most other difficult-to-pronounce brand names out loud, but not that one. I don’t know any French, so it’s a mystery to me!

The longest I’ve been outside the country (I live in the US) was when I lived in Beijing for three months. It was hard sometimes adjusting and being so far from home, but it’s such an awesome place. I’d love to go back (probably not for three months though!)

  455. Maria says:

Getting out of bed is so hard for me lately as well- it’s freezing in the mornings! and no Sephora near me to encourage me to get up faster!
