G’morning, ladies. Greetings on this fine fall Saturday. 🙂
Did you do anything fun last night? I planned to go to a movie but ended up staying in thanks to Hulu (multimedia crack!). Have you seen Flash Forward yet?
In the pilot, the entire population of the world simultaneously experiences a 2-minute-long blackout — just passing out whatever they’re doing and wherever they are. Planes fall from the sky, cars careen into buildings and pedestrians, and people just drop like sacks of potatoes everywhere, freaky!
While everyone’s out/under, they have dreams, but the dreams turn out to be visions of the future, of the same day six months from now.
The first show centers around one LA field office of the FBI, the families of the agents and the total mayhem and communication breakdown that follows a massive global catastrophe.
I like the sci-fi aspect (you know me), and the acting’s pretty good, too.
Got any plans today? I’ll probably stay local and do some cleaning at home. Yup, big fun.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I have not watched Flash Forward yet, but your review has me wanting to check it out! Need to check my OnDemand… The everyone-on-earth-passes-out scenes reminds me “Girlfriend in a Coma” (the book) by Douglas Copeland. Anyone read it?
And thanks Karen for the shout out to our Butternut Squash Soup! It is yummy and the perfect creamy fall soup. We received the recipe from the amazing head chef at Charlie Palmer – it’s a keeper!

I didn’t have time to watch Flash Forward, but it sounds really interesting!! I guess I’ll just have to *make* time… not this weekend, though — I have a huge history paper to write, not to mention a Thanksgiving dinner to prepare on Sunday!

Ive liked the first couple of episodes of FlashForward so far. Seems like a likely candidate to satisfy my scifi fix when Lost ends in 2010.
Today I met up with my bestie and her son and hubby. Hubs joined us too after he was done with work. Now im making some spaghetti sauce for nom.
Have a great weekend, Karen!

I went shopping. There was the Forever 21 grand opening, so I picked up a jacket, sweater, hair pins and a top. I also picked up a Tarte Femme Naturale palette since I picked up the Tarte Femme Fatale palette yesterday. Lovely & wearable colors I must say.

I will def have to check out Flashpoint. I love sci fi esque shows too! I recently got onto Dollhouse thanks to that pic of Agent Ballard you had on here a while ago 😛 I find it funny he was on BSG before.
