Good morning, glories! Rise and shine.
Is it just me or did March skip us entirely? Next thing you know it’ll be summer.
Before we get too far into April, I thought I’d glance back at March one last time. It was a BIG one for beauty, and here were a few of my favorite posts. 🙂
1. MAC Hello Kitty Makeup Tutorial: Spring has Sprung!
I tried to change my outlook yesterday with flowers, looking online for spring bouquets. I thought about this freesia and rose bouquet by Martha Stuart but chickened out at the last second.
Instead, I reached for similar colors — peach, green and pink — and tried to use them in a spring-inspired makeup look.
2. Sally Hansen Diamond 12-Hour Lip Treatment: Drugstore Lipgloss Therapy
These glosses are like non-stick, vanilla-scented (but no taste) drugstore versions of MAC Lipglass. Each tube packs may-jah color and shine, delivering added moisture as well, and they last for hours on my lips without budging one bit.
3. MAC Viva Glam VI Special Edition Lipstick Makes It Official: Lavender Lipstick Reigns This Spring
Wowza! MAC’s really pushing lavender lipstick this spring. Prince would be so proud!
4. Barbie Loves Stila: Swatches, Pictures and All-Around Hotness
My new homegirls, Foxy and Jewel, are two of the four limited edition beauty cans from Stila’s new Barbie Loves Stila collection ($40 each).
5. Spa Ritual Lacquer Nail Polish: Loved by Dentists
Thanks to Spa Ritual Lacquer ($9), my cap-biting days are over. The smart folks at eco-friendly Spa Ritual have a simple solution that works wonders — a rubbery, non-slip cap that’s a cinch to open.
6. How to Wear Bright Eyeliner
Once you’ve worn bright eyeliners a few times they stop seeming so scary. You can wear almost any shade o’ crazy. The easiest way to do it for me is to keep the liner simple (a single line) and pair it with a brown or beige shadow.
7. Makeup and Beauty Blog Confessional
This week several beauty rituals fell by the wayside. There were so many exciting makeup releases to cover (Chanel summer!!), plus I had hella reading and homework to do. Thank goodness for all the fab beauty remedies we have at our fingertips. Without ’em, I might’ve completely devolved into Pig-Pen territory.
8. Chanel Summer 2009: Tangerine Dream
When I checked out the Chanel Cote D’Azur summer collection earlier this week, its vibrant shades of red, orange, pink and bronze Aqualumiere Glosses made my lipgloss-lovin’ heart skip a few beats. I loved all the colors, but one shade stood out from the rest — a shimmery orange shade called Tangerine Dream.
9. Ladies Love the Purple: Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow in Heather
Heather’s a matte mauve confection from Bobbi’s recent Platinum Collection, and to steal a tune from J-Timberlake in those McDonald’s commercials, “Bah-dah-dah-dah-daaah… I’m lovin’ it!”
10. 101 Hairstyle Tutorials
The mother of all hairstyle lists! Want to know how to cut your own hair, how to fix a bad perm, how to do a side updo? If so, here ya go.
I think that about sums up the past 30-something days. Until next year, goodbye, March.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I got the Bobbi Brown cream shadow in Heather after I saw your post. It’s my first BB cream shadow purchase, and I’m really happy with it 🙂
