Well, it isn’t exactly a poll. It’s more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past NINE (!) years. (It’s like a kickstart for your brain.) I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine. 🙂
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Oh, my gosh! — pom-poms for Team Highlight, because a) for me it’s just so much easier to blend a shimmery highlight, and b) the results are much more instantly gratifying.
Honestly…I know that contouring is a big thing in makeup these days…but I just can’t stand it. I feel like it’s overdone, and everybody and their mama feels the need to reshape their face.
Why?? I don’t want to feel like I have to make my nose look straighter or my cheeks look more chiseled. I like the way my face is, and I don’t want it to be sharper. I like the roundness of it. I like the chubbiness of my cheeks.
Anywho…
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
Nope, and the only time I ever had a tie-dye anything was freshman year at college. It was one of those getting to know you events, and everyone had to bring a white shirt to tie-dye.
I really wasn’t feeling the whole tie-dye process, so I made a gradient on my shirt instead of a traditional tie-dye. It had a patch of blue, then a patch of green, then a patch of yellow… There was really nothing tie or dye about it, and that was the closest I’ve ever gotten.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
Fabulously messing up in life. I had just graduated from college, was in my early 20s, and I had no idea what I was doing… Still don’t have any idea what I’m doing.
I was living in San Francisco at the time and working as a junior legal assistant at a law office, which meant that I filed stacks of papers in a filing room that I had practically all to myself.
My boss was so chill… Some days I would come into the office, shut the door and actually take naps at my desk.
In hindsight, I recognize that this was a bad thing… 🙂
4. How often do you check social media?
Probably too much. I glance at Instagram and Facebook every few hours. I wish I checked them less often because…does anybody out there have a sloppy, messy life? I do.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
For sure. Even though I’m here writing about makeup, I don’t sit at my desk wearing false lashes every day. Some days when I’m testing products, I’ll wear just one thing, instead of doing a complete look, or I won’t wear any makeup at all because I’ll be working on a non-makeup project.
The early bird…
Waking up early on the mornings on the weekend — who knew? So bomb. I woke up early on both Saturday and Sunday, which I don’t do all the time, but I might do it more often now.
I got up early on Saturday because I had plans for lunch with a friend, and I wanted to take care of the grocery shopping first, so I got up, got ready and went to Trader Joe’s at the crack of dawn.
Dude, Trader Joe’s is the place to be at the crack of dawn. It was just me and five other focused ladies, and it was great because, for the first time ever, I had my cart with me the whole time! It’s usually so crowded there that I have to park my cart somewhere, stake out a spot, walk to the kale or whatever, and then walk back and put the kale in the cart.
It was nice to have my cart in front of me for once…
I also plan to get up early tomorrow to avoid the lines at my polling place. Tomorrow is Election Day here, and it’s gonna be…frantic.
In the spirit of trying new things, I also want to try some new looks this week. I hope that you try something new as well, whether it’s a new makeup looks or something else in your routine.
Life is short, ya know? You might as well switch things up every once in a while.
Whatever you’re up to, my fellow citizen of the earth, I hope you have a great week.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Here are the questions to copy and paste…
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
4. How often do you check social media?
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
Jane says
First to answer the poll:
1. I neither contour or highlight.
2. I have an old tie-dyed t-shirt from I can’t remember that I actually sleep in sometimes.
3. In 2,000 (this is a big one). I turned 40 at the end of 1999 (my birthday is in October). After two years of marriage and trying and being unsuccessful, my husband and I decided we would not have a child. That summer, we went to San Francisco and California Wine Country for 10 days and guess who came home “knocked up”. I have birth in March of 2001. So I guess it was a good year.
4. I don’t check social media much. I don’t really find much of it interesting.
5. I always wear some makeup to work, not always at home. I always have on tinted moisturizer and eye concealer/corrector.
I am always up early, must be an auto alarm. I have to wake up Zack early for school (he starts at 7:30 am) and make sure my husband gets out to catch his train. I have found since I am experiencing menopause, my sleep patterns are crazy. I don’t sleep through the night and wind up napping late in the day or when I get home from work which screws up my sleeping at night. I do plan on getting an early start tomorrow to vote.
So there you have it. Hope all is well.
Karen says
Hey Jane,
I go through periods when I can’t sleep through the night (usually it’s hormone related) and one thing that helps me is meditation. I use an app called Buddify; I have it on my phone and there are specific short meditations for when you can’t sleep. I find it very helpful! Maybe have Zack help you install it on your phone?
Stephanie Smith says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Highlight, I’m not good on technique for contour, and I think it’s been overdone. I like a little highlight, I don’t want blindingly shiny cheekbones.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? Not anymore, but when I was in high school, early 90’s, I had a tie-dye tee that I lived in! I want to learn to tie-dye, but it seems messy and I don’t have space for messy.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? Working in property management, I was married for four years, had two cats, hung out with friends all the time, it was a blast!
4. How often do you check social media? All. The. Time. Facebook is my drug, but I love it!
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? I’m a stay at home mom, so I don’t work outside the house. I do try to use a bb cream, a little eyeliner, and a matte lipstick everyday. Just a bumped up natural look.
I’m looking forward to your new looks this week, my Grandma’s 90th birthday party is this weekend and I’d like to try a new look! It’s gonna be a big party, gotta represent Grandma the right way!
Karen says
A 90th birthday party, AMAZING! I hope I get to have one someday. 🙂 Where’s the party going to be held?
Stephanie Smith says
In her home in Morro Bay, CA. It’s an open house so everyone can come at their convenience. Fun fact, she always has two bowls of punch, one spiked and one not. That spiked punch goes down so fast! My job is to take the empty bowl and bring back a full bowl, I’m a very popular girl amongst the 90 year old set!
Karen says
Oh how fun! Hey, that sounds like the BEST party job ever! It’s much better than minding a keg… Although who knows, minding the keg might also make you popular too. 🙂
Did you already get her a birthday gift?
Kim says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Neither, but at least I’ve highlighted before. I don’t think I’ve ever really contoured unless strategically placing bronzer counts.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? The boys do from projects at school or camp, etc. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything tie-dyed of my own.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? I was 29, engaged and house hunting/wedding planning. Fun times, all around. 🙂
4. How often do you check social media? Almost never. Unless I get an alert that I have a message, or need to be on for work, it can be months between logins. In the past week, I’ve been on much more to see if anyone has news about our missing kitty.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? No, I almost never leave the house without at least wearing mascara.
Karen says
Oh, I was just going to ask about her. I hope she comes home soon. The week when Tabs disappeared was the longest one of my life. How are the boys handling it?
Erin says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Team Highlight. Being the color of printer paper has it’s disadvantages and making contour look natural is one of them.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
Oh yeah, it’s all Shibori though, so it’s more sophisticated.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
Working at Apple, buying my first home, and planning my wedding as I just got engaged. And yes, I was only 22.
4. How often do you check social media?
Pretty frequently. Partly for my day job and then some for myself/blog.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
Most days yeah but I’ve been wearing lip product for like 10 days straight! Today is NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Toy. Oddly enough it makes my skin look soo good without any other makeup. It’s a little too editorial for most people for every day, but I look pretty chic with a bare face, a ballet bun, and a slick of Toy with a groomed brow.
Karen says
The Lip Glides are great! I love them too.
Shannon says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Team Highlight, man! Contouring just seems like a lot of work.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
I have a couple hand-died items from my MIL, since that’s what she does professionally – I don’t think any of it is specifically “tie-dyed” though.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
Let’s see… I was 12 years old for most of that year. I started the year off in 6th grade, which I remember as being a generally really cool year. And then… Jr. High, sigh. I mean, I was homeschooled, but still. There’s not much that’s good about 7th grade.
And… bucket hats. Man.
4. How often do you check social media?
WAY too often. I spend most of the day scrolling through FB (sorry, boss) and it’s a lil’ ridiculous.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
Yeah, but usually only if I’m really tired or I don’t feel well. (I figure if I AM tired, I should look it! I want the sympathy, haha.) Most of the time I at least wear mascara, to feel like I “tried.” Or if I’m going through a period where I want to be bare-faced, which does happen every once in a while.
Good luck voting tomorrow, Karen! I’m trying to convince my husband that we should go early… I don’t want to wait in crazy lines after work.
Sending you hugs!
Karen says
Good luck getting in early, Shannon! Tell him that instead of waiting in a crazy long line you guys can go grab some cake or something, LOL! That would work with me.
So, here’s something that I didn’t realize until right now. The hubs and I will have to bring the baby with us when we vote! I wonder if I can bring Connor with me in the booth…
Ericca says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Team Highlight
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? nope.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? high school
4. How often do you check social media? all the time.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? yes. my makeup needs to be used but i feel like its wasted. no one hears wears makeup and i when i do , i am giving life stories of why they dont wear makeup or wish they could
Karen says
Hi Ericca,
I used to work in an office that was similar. I remember going to bathroom one morning to touch up and one of the ladies who I worked with said, “Why do you even bother? You’ve already got a man.” LOLOL! I was like duuuuude… I just like wearing makeup, OK?
ericca says
OMG, yeah I had one ask me if i was going out later, I was not wearing anything special . however, i am mortified in how i wrote sentence, maybe , i am still horrified that women cant wear makeup just cause.
Karen says
LOL, I got asked that all the time, and it would be when I was wearing something really basic, too, like a red lip, LOL!
Leah G. says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Highlight
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? One Christmas I made all my friends a tie-dye shirt. 🙂
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? I bought a house and got married. That was a busy year!!
4. How often do you check social media? Way too often. During the week I check constantly. On weekends only a few times/day.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? I have, yes but I still had on lip balm and powder.
Happy Election Eve, Karen! I did early voting but I’m still nervous about the election.
Karen says
Hi Leah,
Me too. I think I’m going to try to any updates on the results until 7 ish Pacific time. Good for you for voting early! I usually get a mail-in ballot but for some freaky reason I wasn’t registered to vote in my county! Thank goodness I figured it out what was going on and got to register before the deadline.
Anywho, I have to know — the shirts you tie-dyed for your friends that Christmas. Did you use the same colors and pattern? Or did each person get an individual design?
Leah G. says
Hi Karen,
It was years ago but each shirt was unique! 🙂
Yes–good thing you sorted out your voting status in time.
Have a great night,
Leah
Karen says
Oh how lovely! What kind and thoughtful gifts. I feel like the handmade ones are the best ones, ya know?
You have a great night, too!
Tatiana says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Neither. Don’t have a face that can be contoured easily (round, softness) and highlight just emphasizes pores.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? No, but when my daughter was in school tie-dye was popular, so we dyed a lot of white t-shirts.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? The mom thing. Driving to and from school and swim team practice and riding lessons and art lessons. Volunteering in the classroom. Working in my studio.
4. How often do you check social media? I check the blogs I read once a day. Usually half at breakfast and half at lunch time since I eat those meals alone. I check twitter about once every two weeks. Don’t have instagram, snapchat or facebook. Sometimes I leave my cell phone home on purpose just so I can be present in my own moment.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? Yes, I wear makeup when I want to and don’t wear it when I don’t feel like fussing. Though I never miss my skincare routine or sun screen.
Karen says
Hi Tatiana,
Happy Monday to you! That’s such a good idea to leave the cell phone behind every once in a while. It reminds me of this picture of a woman without a phone in a crowd of people holding phones. 🙂 Sometimes I miss being able to not be connected, ya know?
I hope you had a nice weekend. It was pretty chill on my end; I did a little writing, a little cleaning and a little cooking (made some delicious carrot
soup and a baked polenta and shrimp skillet dish that turned out REALLY YUM!).
Tatiana says
The cooking sounds yummy!! I love polenta. We got some whole, heirloom grain polenta at the farmers’ market when we were in Portland. It’s delish.
Had a good weekend. Saw the horse. For once traffic was good. Booked a trip to Paris with my daughter for December. AND… on a whim, Dear Husband said buy the tickets when I was browsing the Warriors site, so I’m going to tonights game!!! I am beyond excited.
Karen says
OMG, so fun! Tell Draymond Green (El Hub’s man crush) we say hi. LOL!
How long will you and your daughter be in Paris? Are you guys going just for fun? I hope that someday Connor and I will be able to take trips like that together. *crosses fingers and toes*
So, here’s the recipe for the polenta, just in case you want it. It’s so easy and very tasty. The original version of it’s pretty rich so I did a couple of cheats to take the calories down some (swapped out the whole milk for 2%, cut the butter in half). It still tasted pretty good!
Tatiana says
Thanks for the recipe. Considering Dear Husband took me to a Warriors game, I’m going to have to cook every evening for the next couple of weeks. Draymond is my favorite player, too. Got to wear my #23 tee shirt tonight. He played well. 4 point, 10 assists, 10 rebounds.
I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to share trips with Connor some day. Maybe start with Disneyland when she’s around 6 or 7. I think that was one of our first trips.
Rachel says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Probably highlight, but I do occasionally wear bronzer if I want a TINY bit of definition. I try to avoid looking orange at all costs.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? YES! I have a coworker who loves to tie-dye, and this weekend I tie-dyed a couple of pillowcases. All of my kitchen rags are tie-dyed.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? I was in the third grade, and it was another election year so we were learning about the candidates.
4. How often do you check social media? Way.Too.Much. It’s kind of an addiction.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? Nope! I look forward to wearing my makeup every day. I think it’s a lot of fun, and I feel put-together when I wear it.
lauren says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Ahhh team neither!
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? Not in about 20 years!
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? It was my 4th year of college (6 years total) and I was in nursing school and working as a bartender/waitress. I was constantly busy but having so much fun!
4. How often do you check social media? Every morning briefly but I only have Facebook.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? No but I cheat a bit wearing a quick powder foundation…Mac studio fix and only 1 neutral eye color.
Kate & Zena says
Happy Monday Karen! I’m still recovering from my first ever fall of a horse, so it’s more like, “Oh gosh, I’m so sore” Monday.
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
I don’t really do either! Is this bad? But, for competitions, I do highlight a little bit, so Team Highlight?
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
Nope, not since high school.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
I was going from a life I always knew (active military) to one I had very little info on – civilian life. It was so hard! I had only lived civilian once before and I knew NOTHING!
4. How often do you check social media?
Probably way too much. The only time I’m not connected to a phone/computer is when I’m with the horses or eating dinner with my family. I’m trying hard to make more phone/computer-free time though.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
I only volunteer and even when I volunteer I have been known to wear just sunscreen. Yep.
Chelsea says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Team Highlight for life! I think contouring is great for the stage and photography, but looks kind of weird in everyday life. I love highlighting though.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
I have some tie-dye pajama shorts!
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
Middle school :p So mostly hanging with my friend Heather, who is still my best friend, making weird movies with her video camera, playing with her pet bunny. Oh, and I think I had surgery on my hand that year, I had an extra bone at the base of my pointer on my palm.
4. How often do you check social media?
Too often! All the time!
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
Not really! I like wearing makeup, it’s part of my me-time before I head in.
Trude says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
I do a little contour under my cheekbones most days, hardly anything but I like the boost it gives me. If I’m going out or just messing around on the weekends I play with highlight. 🙂
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
Nope!
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
Finishing my junior year of high school and starting senior year. That was a great year, especially once I knew where I was going to college!
4. How often do you check social media?
Maybe once or twice a day, unless I have a notification. Must clear the number! 😉
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
Never. I might skip a few steps if I’m late or not feeling well, but I’m too fair and blonde to not have something on under these harsh florescent lights!
Rachel R. says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Team highlight.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? No; it’s never been my thing.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? Trying to deal with having two special needs kids under the age of 6, and a husband with a brain tumor who was pretty much checked out from life due to seizures and their medications, all on my own.
4. How often do you check social media? Facebook at least once a day. Others, every once in a while.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? I work from home, so I do sometimes. When I worked outside the home, I occasionally did when I was late or ill.
Mickey says
Even though it’s not a poll, I love your Monday poll posts because Monday’s can be quite tough for a working girl like me. This is my afternoon break that I always love to read and sometimes respond to (respond now more often than before)
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Team Highlight all the way; I’ve always wanted to try the contour, but given my work environment, doing so would probably make look like an overdone super dressed up person (work appropriate contour tutorial maybe?) ? On a serious note, highlighting is easier anyways.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
Never was a fan… so I don’t own anything. I will say the process of it though is quite fun.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
I was a high school student; sophomore actually in a high school in the Bay Area. Y2K foreign to the young generation, but so familiar to those who went through it. LOL…
4. How often do you check social media?
Too often; when work gives u access to Facebook for work related promotion… an all to dangerous thing. I check instagram sometimes… depends if I’m busy.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
Yes. Sometimes I’ll wear make up to work doing a minimal make up look; the next day don’t. Coolest thing I’d — no one asks me if I’m wearing any make up or the ultimate question: are you ok? You look sickly… love doing a simple make up look and try to fool people to see if I am or am not wearing any.
Efrain says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
I’m not a big fan of both, contouring is too fake for my liking (the most I’ve done was using a foundation one shade darker to contour and I blended a lot so it was really subtle) and highlight with my oily skin doesn’t work well even though I like the look when fresh.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
I did a T-shirt when I was on kindergarten.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
I was doing the transition from kindergarten to elementary school, I entered to a new school but ended up returning to my old school the next year.
4. How often do you check social media?
Although I don’t love to say it but a lot, on the bus, when a class is too boring or even just at home. I try to use it less but it’s complicated.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
I don’t work but when I go to university sometimes I skip it when I’m not feeling it.
I hope you have a great week too, today I actually change my routine and went to lunch/for drinks with some classmates. Also I’ll try to use my others blushes instead of my favorite (a NARS Orgasm dupe).
cherie says
Voted early….out of the way. Now I’m ready for the election to be over!
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Highlight! All the way. Contouring takes up too much time.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? Yes, paper. I used it for a card that turned out great!
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? Graduating from college.
4. How often do you check social media? Rarely….I don’t have any social media accounts…but I do love to read blogs!
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? Rarely. Makeup is my armor!
laura says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Team highlight baby!!! Contouring is just too much and very time consuming.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? No way. That’s just dead. And this trend better stay dead. Now, in France, ombré hair is also called tie-dye hair, and I have that. Does it count?
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? I was 11 so starting middle school. Very awkward and intimidating. I think this was the last year I really looked like a child before turning into a teenager.
4. How often do you check social media? I am only on instagram so I check that twice a day.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? NEVER. I couldn’t. Or else I would turn to stone or dust or something terrible… I enjoy wearing makeup on a daily basis and I like showing off my skills, I know it drives my coworkers nuts and I like it.
Susan C. says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Team Highlight! I keep it subtle but it does make a difference.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
Surprisingly, no. I love mottled things.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
Well, I was still married and living with my husband, one adored Border Collie mix and three crazy cats. I was working at a property management company, and spent my free time taking horseback riding lessons, attending poetry readings, going hiking with the pup, and dancing in da club. Life was good at 35.
4. How often do you check social media?
Rarely. I’m on a 6+ month hiatus from Facebook. Just can’t deal with relentlessly cheerful posts. A dear friend from college died at the tender age of 48. At first I coped by plunging into the world of Facebook and acting like everything was fine. Life went on for everybody else, as it does. After several months, hopping on Facebook without seeing his random, quirky posts just became too depressing.
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
Currently I’m looking for work, but I seldom leave the house without makeup.
Oh, who am I kidding? I never leave the house without wearing at least sunscreen with BB cream, mascara (a must with invisiblonde lashes) and lipstick/gloss. There’s also a Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow quad I’ve been keeping in the car in case of beauty emergencies.
Katie says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Team Highlight! I do contour fairly regularly (maybe once a week?), so I’m a total hypocrite, but I 100% agree with your stance. It’s overdone and unnecessary most of the time.
Also I feel like contour can go really bad, really quickly, while highlighting is a bit more forgiving (at least if you don’t use straight-up glitter). Plus, it’s just so pretty! I think highlighting looks so nice and fresh when its NOT paired with contour.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
One tee shirt! I tie-dyed it with my baby cousins on vacation a few years ago and I use it when I dye my hair.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
Uh…. I was in preschool. I know, right? It’s weird even to me that a 20 year old with a job and a future could have been an actual baby in a year that seems not so far in the past. So I was probably covered in glue, food, or snot. Or some combination of the above. What a simple time.
4. How often do you check social media?
Way too often. I check Instagram most often, actually, a few times a day, then Facebook and Snapchat once or twice a day. I’m constantly checking my email (but is that even social media?).
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
No way! I did once and everyone kept asking me if I was okay! On the other hand, since then my redness and irritation has gotten a lot better, so it probably wouldn’t be a total catastrophe.
Eesha says
1. Team highlight, although, I like to contour my nose to slightly slim it down. Not a big fan of contouring and I agree with you that its unnecessarily overdone!
2. Nope, never. I tried learning, but, could never get it right
3. I had just finished school in 2000 and had no idea about what wanted to do next! I wanted to do so many things yet not clear what I really wanted in life (not that I know now after 16 years)
4. Every few hours, especially Instagram.. its amazing to see pretty pictures.
5. I mostly skip makeup to office, because, I am mostly running late and makeup goes down bottom of priority list. But, I like to look more put together whenever we have some spl event/ meeting and I make sure that I have sufficient time for makeup on such days!
Lulle says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Highlight! I’m also not into contouring much. A bit under the cheekbones is fine, but only occasionally.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
I do, I bought a tie-dye skirt a couple years ago when I visited Sri Lanka. It’s bright pink with green details.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
Finishing my Master’s. And not knowing what I was doing either.
4. How often do you check social media?
A few times a day at least. More if it’s not a work day!
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work?
I’ll wear at least concealer, mascara and lip balm.
Have a great week Karen!
Kiss & Make-up says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight? Team Neither, I’m afraid.
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything? Yes, a shirt, when I was a kid.
3. What were you doing in the year 2000? Not having a clue 😉
4. How often do you check social media? Too often <_<
5. Do you ever skip wearing makeup to work? Nevah! It'd be unfair to other people, lol.
Jules says
1. Team Contour, or Team Highlight?
Team Highlight! Give me ALL the sparkles! 😀
2. Do you have any tie-dye anything?
Yes, a dress I bought from a flea market this summer, although I’ll probably end up donating it to the Salvation Army (it’s too long and too revealing).
3. What were you doing in the year 2000?
