You might be wondering, “So what in tarnation is this Monday Poll thing anyway!?”
Well, it isn’t exactly a poll. It’s more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past seven years. (It’s like a kickstart for your brain.) I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
- What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
Several bags of organic Throat Coat tea.And I’m not just talking about two bags. I’m talking about seven or eight, and I have no idea why they’re in there or how they got there.
They’re all Throat Coat, too, which is weird.
Oh, and there’s also a pair of dirty underwear…
Wait! Let me explain (I assure you, there’s a completely logical explanation).
It’s because yesterday I put on a pair of skinny jeans that I’d worn earlier in the week. (Whatever, I didn’t want to wash ’em. Don’t judge.) So I put them on, and we were in a hurry because we were going to Cheesecake Factory for lunch, so I’m like, doop-da-doo, I’ll just put on these skinny jeans…
We left the house, drove about 20 minutes to the restaurant, and then we sat down at our table at Cheesecake Factory, I put my napkin down, my hands in my lap, and I felt a weird lump in my left thigh…
Yeah, it was the underwear I’d previously worn with those jeans.
Has that ever happened to anyone else? Anyone??
- What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
It’s winter here in the U.S., and even though it doesn’t get too cold where I live in Northern California, my lips get super dry, so anything I wear this time of year has to be very moisturizing and very comfortable. Another big plus for me is build-ability and whether I can build the product up if I feel like wearing something bright or sheer it down if I want to wear it like a stain. - What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
In local Hawaii-style parlance, it’s called tako poke. It’s a kind of octopus salad, and El Hub loves the stuff. He will eat it from dawn till dusk, but I can’t… I mean, I tried to once, and I came very close to almost getting it in my mouth, but then I saw the little tentacles — uh! I couldn’t do it. - Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
No spoilers please. I would rather not know what I’m getting into, but my friend Cindy, for her it’s not a big deal. Now, if I happen to accidentally read a spoiler, it doesn’t completely irritate me, but I try my best to not know what’s going to happen. I like to be surprised.
- What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
I think it was deodorant. 🙂It was deodorant, because I just finished running, and I couldn’t even stand the scent of myself, so I put on some deodorant.
Your turn. 🙂 Just copy and paste the following questions into a comment with your answers. I look forward to reading ’em!
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
Hello, my friend! Deep breaths. It’s Monday, but that doesn’t mean we have to be all stressed out about it. My goal this week is to be a mirror…
I’ve been thinking about this a lot. Let me kind of explain — whatever you project outward will reflect back at you, so this week I want to have calm and joyful energy, so that Tabs will hopefully reflect calm and joyful energy right back at me (I doubt this will happen).
Here’s to having a wonderful week! I hope something cool happens to you today.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Rachel says
Yup I totally did #1 with a pair of workout pants, luckily someone noticed before I left the house!
Estefania says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
An empty container of Tic Tacs and empty makeup packaging (Phoebe loves to play with the cardboard, so I accumulate a bunch of boxes and then give them to her!)
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
Something that doesn’t emphasize flakes. My lips get dry, and I like to still wear opaque lipsticks without putting a bring flashing sign next to my flaky lips.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
Pickles. I HATE pickles. I can’t even stand the smell. Never in a million years would I ever eat one.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
I don’t like it. I feel like I’m cheating, even if I didn’t seek out the spoilers.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
MAC Cremesheen Glass in Star Quality 🙂 I paired it with Bite Winterberry High Pigment Pencil.
Amen! I need all the positive energy I can get this week. Work is hectic.
P.S. that macaron is adorable!
MM Curator says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? – A CD with images of an MRI I had for my lower back. Went to the doctor last week so I brought it with me and then left it in there. And yes, the underwear in the jeans thing has totally happened to me!
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? Shiny and moisturizing. My lips are so dry and I feel like I look old…I’m hoping something super light-reflective and shiny will help make my lips look plumper and take a few years off my face.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? Any sort of seafood, especially crustaceans…they just remind me of huge, hard-shelled bugs.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? Nay! Do not want.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil.
Kwmechelle says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
Nothing weird at the moment. But in related news, I have no less than 16 lippies, lip pencils, lip glosses, & lip stains, because, you know, #options or #emergency 🙂
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? All of the above. Oh, and I like lippies that are opaque in a single swipe, don’t pull or tug on my lips. That kinda thing. This is why my search for a moisturizing matte lippie continues.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? I don’t like eggs. No matter how you cook ’em, I just can’t eat ’em. I tried on my bday in December when a friend took me to a fancy restaurant for brunch. I got a really delicious sounding omelet. But, I couldn’t even eat it. I pretty much ate all the fillings without the egg 🙂
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? NEITHER, thank you very much 🙂
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? Hmm, does water count? No lie, I’ve got two teenagers and a 6 year old at home today bc there’s no school today. I’ve already been to the grocery store, run an errand, cooked breakfast for brunch, and made 4 cups of coffee. Oh, and ran the dish washer. I pretty much splashed water in my face (I cleanse my skin every night & used a face mask last night). I pretty much feel like a bad a$$ just for being able to COMPLETE this survey. #GotAnSonmychest #superwoman
Remi says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
Two clutches and a wristlet. My bag isn’t that big, which makes it all the stranger.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
MOISTURIZING. I live in the Northeast US (which is about to be the star of Snowpocalypse 5), and my skin is naturally dry to begin with. Balm stains are my best friend right now.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
I am allergic to a lot of things. Garlic. Olives (and olive oil). Red meat. Milk (no lactose, no casein).
I commiserate with your inability to eat octopus.. although they are delicious (they taste like fish bacon), they are also super intelligent. For me it is like eating cat. Can’t do it.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
It depends. I usually would rather be surprised, and I don’t like to know how things end before I see/read it.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
.. I think it was the sample of eye cream I am currently using. Might have been my Lush Eau Roma water though..
Amy says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
I just cleaned it out, which required sifting through nine months of detritus (we moved 3 times, and I just kept tossing stuff in there!). So yesterday, it would have been a schematic drawing my son did of a rocket-propelled apple processing plant. Today, it would just be a Cars II bandaid.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
Moisture ahoy!
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
Lutefisk is way up there. (fish cured with lye) My MIL used to do a full-on Swedish smorgasbord on Christmas Eve, and there were like two people who would touch the lutefisk. The pickled herring was slightly more popular.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
Absolutely! Movies especially – I have to know what happens before watching, or I can’t enjoy it!
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
An Aveeno face wipe cleansing cloth. Ahhh. It was unfortunately too long ago to recall the details (before sleeping), but I probably spritzed with rosewater or cucumber-aloe toner after that. I do remember WANTING to put on Decleor night cream but not getting around to it!
Kiss & Make-up says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? Probably an empty Ladurée macarons box (I keep my sunglasses in it)
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? Moisture is the number 1 priority!
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? Ansjovis. I was tricked 🙁 I didn’t know what it was.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? AWFUL! 🙁 I hate it when that happens.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? My LIERAC Liftissime serum.
Laurissa says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
I don’t keep much in my handbag, so everything inside is currently necessary and normal, for me at least.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
Always moisturizing. I have endured chronically dry lips for as long as I can remember. Being winter, I also look for “healing” balms as well.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
Frog legs.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
Absolutely not. I get mildly upset, even if it’s an accident.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
Vasoline. I keep a tub in my bedroom for times when I can’t find (or be bothered to look for) my current lip balm.
fancie says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
Orajel lol. I have to keep it on me since my wisdom teeth keep acting up
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
Moisturizing yet long lasting. Or at least noon drying.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
Chitterlings. They smell so awful. There’s no way I could eat them!
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
I don’t mind spoilers too much. Sometimes I like knowing what I’m getting myself into lol
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
MAC Demure Dazzleglass
Rachel R. says
I’ve totally had that underwear thing happen to me. At least they’ve never dropped all the way to the floor in public.
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
Shockingly, nothing too weird at the moment. I’ve been doing well at keeping my purse cleaned out. Otherwise, I stick everything in there and it would weigh a ton.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
I’ve been into funky colors and finishes the last several months.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
I’m a rather picky eater. Beans are the worst, though. I cannot even smell the things. I can barely look at them without getting really nauseous.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
I detest spoilers.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
Deodorant here, also. I haven’t done my makeup yet.
Allison C says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? Sorry to disappoint, but there’s nothing unusual in there now. I lost my lucky die from Las Vegas that I used to carry around in there

3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
– The squid in adobong pusit, which is a Filipino dish consisting of whole small squids in adobo sauce. Hate anything with a chewy, rubbery texture.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
– EHHHH it’s fine. I keep watching Rupaul’s Drag Race out of order and at the end of each season the previous winner comes back, so I always know who wins each season, and that’s a freaking huge spoiler, but spoilers don’t bother me as much as other people.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
– Too Faced Cat Eyes Palette, just to use as a mirror.
Laura says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?

I’m vegetarian, and it’s difficult to find something vegetarian that I couldn’t eat if I had to.

I live for spoilers! I hate too much suspense. I’m especially bad about looking up spoilers for The Walking Dead.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
Sephora lipstick in Rouge Shine purchased from the Sephora bargain bin just yesterday. 🙂
Stephanie A. says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? I have what practically amounts to an entire cutlery set in my bag! I bring utensils in to work with me for my breakfasts and lunches, and just drop them in my bag when done. Unfortunately, I’ll let them pile up without taking them out!
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? I need moisturizing and long wearing!
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? My family laughs at me because I have an annoying habit of claiming to be allergic to foods I hate. This currently includes bananas, onions, Twizzlers, and mayonnaise.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? Hell yeah! I’m that a$$hole that reads the last pages of a book first!
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? An oldie but goodie–MAC Ample Pink plushglass. It’s ironic, though, cause it doesn’t meet my “must-haves” from #2. Can’t help it–I LOVESSSS it!
Erin says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
Probably Benadryl. It’s not exactly odd but I need it.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
Moisturizing for sure!
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?

4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
Make me pretty angry!
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
I don’t remember if it was my sea salt spray or my hand cream…
Ashleigh says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? I hoarde tickets of everything I go to, so just some old basketball game tickets and movie ticket stubs floating around the bottom. 🙂
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? Moisturizing, low maintenance, and pigmented.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? I should probably give them another chance, but the one time I’ve had steamed mussels it was definitely not a positive experience.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? I used to be super into spoilers… I would read online everything I could about an upcoming movie/book/episode… but somewhere along the way I figured out it’s more enjoyable to not know anything!
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? Ole Henriksen Nurture Me, my current moisturizer- I like the feel of it but that scent… :/
Shannon says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
A jar of peanuts – earlier, it was a six-pack of beer! The thing is huge, and useful for grocery shopping, as it turns out 🙂
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
definitely moisturizing. I got some burts bees honey lip balm – that stuff is a FORTRESS against dry wind. NYC has been brutal recently!
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
shrimp. nope. no. yuck. no thank you. They just gross me out. And I HAVE tried, periodically. Or accidentally eating them in food. That’s happened, too. And it’s just… blurg. gag. I hate them. with a briny vengeance.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
Meh… I’d prefer not to. It doesn’t really deter me, though. If I’m gonna watch something, I’ll watch it whether or not I know the ending.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
Probably some lip gloss. I think I used some right after lunch. And then walked out into a blizzard!! Yaaay. I must say, the sample-size Marc Jacobs Lash Lifter Gel Volume Mascara held up QUITE well in the storm. Probably 20+ total minutes of getting snow right in the face, and it’s not even smudging – just a flake or two, under one eye. #makeupscore
I like your idea about mirroring, Karen… I’ll have to try that out this week!
kristen @ glambunctious says

Have a lovely week, free of rando underdrawers stuck to your pantalones! 😉
Holly says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
I have a package of peanut butter filled pretzel bites in my handbag because I don’t enjoy being hangry.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
Matte & a pretty nude & smells good. I think I’ve found the perfect lippie for me: Rimmel’s matte #203, the Kate Moss collection. Love it! And I can apply a pink gloss or a sheer coral over top for different looks.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
Oyster stew. It used to be a Christmas Eve tradition to eat oyster stew & I gagged every time. Thank goodness it’s a thing of the past!
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
NOPE. I want to encounter my entertainment completely unencumbered by anyone’s opinions or any spoilers.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
Lip balm. My poor lips need all the TLC I can show them at all times.
Trude says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? I carry around a Moleskine just for good quotes that I read or hear. It’s a habit my grandma had and since I treasure the ones I have from her, I started keeping my own. 🙂 I also like to have it handy because I write a new quote on the whiteboard in my office each week.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? Mainly color payoff. I’m in love with Bite Beauty’s lipsticks. They could be more moisturizing, but I think my lips run especially dry compared to your average bear.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? Ethiopian food. It was some kind of meat stew and the bread they use to eat it with reminded me too much of skin. It smelled great, but I couldn’t do it!
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? I don’t mind small spoilers, because if it’s good it doesn’t matter. But spoiling a major twist? Uncool bro.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me. Just a hint of color, great moisture and perfect for when I’m running around and don’t have a mirror handy.

Depends on how invested I am in the series.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
Revlon lip butter in berry smoothie. I love these lip butters, but hate that they twist backward in the tube after a few uses.

4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
It depends on the show or book. Sometimes I’m absolutely opposed but for some things it doesn’t matter.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
A sephora box came in the mail a few minutes ago (with the nars birthday present!) so I think it was the new UD 24/7 double ended liner I ordered, with Perversion and Pistol (what a good one to carry around!)
Icequeen81 says

I have a mini tin with pills, for headache, migraine, allergies, nausea, and diarrhea. wil I am just preventive 2 of each.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?

fish
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
I do but keep it safe, not too many spoilers
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
mascara
Lisa Simon says
Loved you sharing about the underwear! I once had something similar happen. Years ago I used to wash everything together in one load – pants, shirts, pantyhose, etc. I was riding the elevator at work, looked down, and saw the foot from a pair of pantyhose sticking out (significantly) from the bottom of my pant leg. Static cling had kept those pantyhose inside my pants through both a bus and subway ride all the way to work.
Lulle says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now?
A business card for a butcher in France – I live in SoCal… I keep it as a souvenir of good food. I know it’s weird.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
Moisturizing, because my lips get even drier in the winter.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
Just a few days ago, I opened a can of sardines I had at home and realized they were in water, not in oil. I just couldn’t eat them. The texture, the watery taste, it was disgusting.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
For movies, definitely not. For TV shows, I sometimes look for spoilers when I feel like the story is not moving fast enough. I’ve also read the last chapter of a book when I was still in the middle a few times.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
A Nivea caramel scented lip butter in a little tin box.
Stephanie Smith says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? A ton of forks from Chipotle. If we grab one for the four of us and one of the kids doesn’t use theirs, I’ll put it in my purse. Comes in handy, but it’s weird.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? Moisturizing! I like the Fresh Sugar lip balms, but it’s hard to spend that much on a tube of lip balm! But it works so well! I’m a bit obsessive with lip balm.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? Tomatoes, because tomato seeds gross me the heck out! I get the willies just thinking about them.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? Oh I hate it! I used to be a “read the last page” kind of girl, but then I got a Kindle and I can’t do that anymore. I want to be surprised.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? Benefit Eyebrow pencil! I started wearing contact lenses again and I realized that not having glasses to hide behind has made me a bit too lax about how I look. Because I read your blog Karen, I decided that my eyebrows need work. So I got a pencil and tried it out this afternoon. It helps A LOT!
Jennifer says
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? Sad to say nothing unusual. I’m carrying a too-small vintage Coach bag this week and there’s only room for my wallet, phone and a couple lipsticks.
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? long-wearing for sure for both lip balms and lip colors and glosses. I need to swipe it on and know that I’ll have color for several hours even though I’m chugging coffee and water. For lip balms, the one I’m married to this winter is actually really long-wearing and I don’t think its marketed as such. Korres Lip Butter is fabulous. Jasmine is my favorite for winter, and it gives my lips a bit of sheen, which lasts a long time. I like it because you can tell I’m wearing some product but its subtle. People might wonder if I don’t have just really great lips.
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? any red meat that’s not well-done and one step away from being turned into a pair of boots. the husband and kid like their steaks medium rare (gag me with a spoon). Add sunny-side up eggs to my list.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? A bit irritating but not a deal breaker.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? Moisturizer before I went to bed last night: Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar.

Hey, I like that mirror idea! Hopefully my kids aren’t playing it though, because that will mean I’m the next one to get sick! 🙁
1. What’s the most unusual thing in your handbag right now? I was just going to say a comb and then realized how awful it made me sound that I would find that unusual. It’s mostly because I have never carried one and don’t use one (I still use a pick from my days of spiral perms). I don’t think I really have anything else. And, don’t feel bad. I totally wear my jeans more than once if they’re not dirty or I haven’t been anywhere smelly. Why waste the water? 🙂
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)? Definitely moisturizing. It’s lip balm all day, every day on this tundra!
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat? I’m not a calamari fan. It just reminds me of ridged rubber bands. I can’t do it.
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book? It depends. If it’s something that’s going to be uncomfortable for me to watch, I want to be prepared. I don’t need the full detail, though. Just the overview from a friend who knows me (you’ll have trouble watching this, or I think you’ll be OK but prepare, or you’re going to bawl like an idiot in front of a bunch of strangers). Also a general, why it’s PG 13 for the kids so I can decide if I think it’ll be appropriate. For most things, I prefer the surprise.
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll? My Malibu Lemon Blossom hand cream, of course!

Probably the pair of well-loved safety glasses, LOL! My lab is some distance from my office, and I was going to come in over the weekend, so I keep my safety specs in my bag so I don’t have to trek over to find them!
I’ve totally done the underwear thing you describe, Karen! You’re not alone, LOL! 😀
2. What qualities have you been looking for in your lip products lately (moisturizing, long wearing, etc.)?
I’ve been trying a bunch of new brands and formulae recently, so I’ve been doing less specific looking, and more adventuring!
3. What’s a food you’ve come across that you absolutely, positively could not eat?
Tinned tuna. The smell makes me want to die. >_<
4. Reading or hearing spoilers before you watch a movie, see a show or read a book?
I try to avoid them, but life on the internet can make that difficult, so I try not to stress too much. It's only really an issue for movies and TV, I find, which I don't see often anyway!
5. What was the last beauty product you touched before filling out today’s Monday Poll?
My honeydew melon eos lip balm!
