So…what is the Monday Poll?
Good question! It isn’t, contrary to its name, an actual poll. It’s just a list of five more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past gazillion years (more than 10!). I love reading your answers, and it helps me get my week off to a great start. ?
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
It’s been hot, so I’m hell bent on getting away with wearing as little makeup as possible (as little as I can handle right now). I did a quick 10-min beachy bronzed look with warm brown lids, coppery rose gold cheeks and glossy nude lips using a few new things and old faves. I used BECCA Be a Light Face Palette, Covergirl TrueBlend Matte Liquid Foundation, MAC Eye Brows Styler in Spiked (been lovin’ this lately), Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara, MAC Coffee Eyeliner, BECCA Glow Gloss in Rose Gold and a little bit of MAC Matchmaster Concealer (more on this in a sec).
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
Not that often, but I wish I felt like I had the time and metal space to do them more often, especially home-improvement DIYs, because I love the idea of being capable enough to do simple things by myself like changing curtain rods and installing new blinds.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
Somebody in my HIIT class last week tried guessing my age and asked if I was 28 (!), and I was like GIRL, YOU SO CRAZY! ? I smiled through the entire class (even the squat burpees!)
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
Indian Valley nature preserve here in Novato. It’s really great in the spring (assuming I’m hopped-up on allergy meds) when you can hike up to a hidden waterfall, because the closer you get to it, the crazier the plants are! It’s like a lost world. Last time El Hub and I did it, we saw these red and white spotted mushrooms that looked straight outta Super Mario Bros.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
For reasons I don’t understand, my under-eyes have been even drier than usual, and my usual go-to products (Make Up For Ever HD and MAC Matchmaster Concealer) aren’t sitting quite right, so I’m on the prowl for a full-coverage concealer that works really well on extra, EXTRA dry skin.
Got any recs?!
DIY/home improvement project ideas?
UPDATE 6/25/18: Lady Sanctuary Herb Garden 2018 — my dill plant left this world and transitioned to the ancestral plane last weekend… I guess it couldn’t take the heat, and I don’t blame it because neither can I! I swear, in the 10 years or so I’ve lived here in Novato, it’s been getting hotter and hotter.
Anyway, RIP, dear dill plant. 🙁 I’ll miss you…particularly in potato salad. 🙂
I’m gonna stop by the garden store this week to get a replacement. Or some chives, maybe? Or mint? What’s easy to grow?
Have a spectacular week, babe. Can’t wait to hear from you.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Here are the questions for you to copy and paste with your answers in a comment:
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
Lupe says
Ooo chives would be great! I know nothing about gardening though lol!
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
Going to the store in a bit, so it’ll probably be the minimal. BB Cream, blush, concealer, and mascara.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
Haven’t done one in a while. My brother in law is helping me make a brush holder.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
Somebody told me I looked great!
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
I’m not much of a hiking person lol.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
A good moisturizer. My acne treatment has my nose area looking extra dry these days.
Karen says
Hope your acne clears up soon, Lupe. Have a great week!
Sanya says
I’m a bit of a gardening nut, so let me help you a fraction of how much you’ve helped me over the years!
Everything you named is easy to grow, sometimes too easy. Mint grows aggressively and can become a pest in the garden, so always keep it potted.
Chives are delicious and like dill, and very easy to grow from seed. Next year, I’d encourage you to buy the seeds rather than the plants– they’re really easy to grow and you can grow a lot, if you so choose (even some back up plants if one or two happen to die ;D) If any of these ‘soft’ herbs are tough for you to water regularly, try this trick: take a few pieces of twine or rope and tuck them around each plant, then leave the ends in a big bottle of water. The water will wick up from the bottle and keep the plants fed steadily, even if you miss a watering. Also, and plant potted in terracotta will dry out quickly and will need water more often.
You might also consider these: thyme, oregano and rosemary are all woody, Mediterranean herbs– just throw a handful of sand in with the soil they’re in and they’ll grow happily for you in a sunny location.
Lettuce and salad greens are another set of great options! Just by yourself a pack of mixed salad green seeds of your choice, throw them on top of the soil, water and cover with plastic wrap. They need sun, but not harsh afternoon sun. Wait a month, and you’ll be in salad heaven.
Good luck!
Karen says
Hi Sanya,
Thank you so much for the advice. I do have a thyme plant it’s growing well… Although to be honest it’s mostly for decoration because I don’t really know what to do with thyme other than roast chicken and veggies. I’m still happy to have it though because it’s super pretty. My main concern with starting from seeds are the birds and the animals that fly around my deck! I’m afraid they’ll see those delicious young shoots and have them for dinner. LOL
Ericca says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
nothing girl.i am wearing colourpop netta lipgloss
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
not often, i stay in my lane and that means buying from etsy.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
did a two point turn. girl, i am working on driving and passing this drivers test.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
i dont hike in the woods, have you not watched law and order , thats how you find a dead body.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
i am looking at the colourpop foundations. 12 bucks with a good range
Karen says
Oh, that’s great! I’m happy to hear you’re still making progress with your driving. Slowly but surely you’ll get there. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll be able to parallel park an SUV on a steep uphill? I did that once and felt like I’d made it. LOL!
Stephanie Smith says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today? So far, not a thing! It’s Summer vacation and I’m a stay at home mom, there’s no reason for me to put on makeup. If I do, it’s just to enhance what I’ve got, fill in brows, a little liner, a little blush, a bright lip.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects? Ha! When I need them done. My husband works pm shifts now, so I’m the one home during the day, I have been replacing lightbulbs and air conditioner filters and all kinds of household things. I unclogged the toilet a couple of weeks ago, felt like a bad ass!
3. Something recent that made you feel really great? We adopted a new cat. I wasn’t looking for a cat, but this little runt needed a new home and I can’t say no. This is our third cat. She’s a tiny thing, but mean! Our other two cats are getting growled at quite a bit, and our Pug is terrified. But it’ll be worth it once Kiki/Luci/Kiwi/New Cat/Little Cat (she’s got a lot of names) figures out she loves us.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking? I’m in Central Ca, so there aren’t a lot of choices for hiking near us. About an hour away is the Ponderosa area, and that’s quite beautiful.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for? I’m always on the prowl for a B.B. cream that isn’t too makeup-y. I want a little enhancement, but a natural natural look. And if I need a nap, I don’t want my pillow to be gunked up. Picky picky picky, I know.
Karen says
If you ever find a B.B. cream that hits all those marks please let me know. It sounds like the perfect weekend/hot day skin item!
P.S. Congrats on your new kitty member of the family. 🙂
Leah G. says
Mint is very easy to grow as well as chives. 🙂 I’m not sure how they grow in pots since I grow both outdoors.
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today? Pretty much nothing. We did not get home from a trip to visit family in Western MA until 11:15pm so I’m tired. I’m just wearing Benefit Dandelion powder and Rosebud Salve on my lips.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects? My husband does a ton of them all of the time but I don’t participate much. His latest one is to build steps in the backyard on the hill.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great? Hanging out with my family yesterday. My inlaws had a BBQ and it was wonderful to see everyone.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking? Iceland. We’ll be back there for our 4th visit in August. For normal hiking though closer to home I prefer hiking in Maine.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for? Not a beauty product but it’s an all natural tick prevention spray called “Flick the Tick.” It’s made in Maine and you can spray it on your skin or clothes (safe for dogs too). We have to worry about ticks in the woods and fields here.
Karen says
Thanks Leah, I’m gonna try the chives!
Tatiana says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today? Nothing yet. Just got back home from the gym and an hour long walk after. Whatever I do will probably involve the Marc Jacobs Enamored Lip Gloss Stick in Black Cherry Baby that I just picked up at Sephora (on my after workout walk).
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects? Every now and then. It’s an excuse to ask Dear Hubs to go to the hardware store, which the equivalent of Sephora for him. But curtain rods and blinds? No way. I want those puppies hung perfectly level, so it’s got to be done by a pro I can boss around without feeling guilty.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great? I guess my workout this morning. Been feeling pretty low lately.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking? Sweeney Ridge Trail between San Bruno and Pacifica. When you make it to the top you can see from the ocean to SFO. And there are bunker remnants from WWII up there. Second favorite spot is Windy Hill Open Space Preserve here on the peninsula. Once again if you make it to the top you can see from the ocean to the bay, providing it’s not foggy that day.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for? Was looking for the Marc Jacobs blush in Kinks & Kisses this morning and decided to get the stick gloss instead. Still looking for a nice day serum loaded with peptides but without glycolic acid or retinoids which my skin has a hard time with in the sunlight.
I’m surprised your dill wilted. Keep watering that baby! Dill can usually stand up to the heat. Mint is a weed. If you plant it in your garden it will take over. Chives, garlic and onions love the heat (maybe that’s why they grow garlic in Gilroy) and do well in intense sunshine and heat, just make sure to keep them evenly moist. They tend to go dormant if they’re dry for too long.
Karen says
OK, I’ll keep watering it and hope that it makes it! I hate to give up on it but it’s not looking to great… Who knows, maybe it’ll come back stronger than ever.
P.S. If you ever find that dream serum please let me know.
Tatiana says
Which direction does your terrace garden face? How much sun does it get during the day. It may be a matter of finding a way to shade some of your plants for part of the day. Either a tall tree like plant in a large planter or a climbing plant that tolerates the sun and can throw shade on the other plants. Or a bamboo roller shade that you can let down on intensely hot days.
Amy says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
Ten primers (haha! almost), a dab of Kjaer Weis foundation, Shu Uemera brow gel in ash brown, L’oreal mascara, Badger lip balm, buxom lip gloss in a sparkly sheer pink. On the primers, I’m using Kypris primer with sunscreen (great but totally overpriced), YSL touche eclat primer with the sparkly bits (good but I’m not crazy about the smell), Cover FX blur primer (quite good), a few dabs of Andalou dermal filler, and Josie Maran all-in-one primer, sunscreen, and face tint. So that’s five, not ten. 😉 What can I say… it was just a day to have smooth, tinted skin!
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
A lot, but I always wish I could hire someone, because I’ve been around the block with DIY and at this point, it takes too much time. Except mowing the lawn with the tractor – that’s very relaxing.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
Helping my son with a problem effectively.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
Haven’t been recently. But the White Mountains in New Hampshire are beautiful.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
Another primer? Haha! Not really. A good, rich but lightweight hair conditioner.
Karen says
Primers are totally the key to no makeup makeup! I love them as much as you do. Do you apply them all at the same time, or do you give each one time to dry before moving on to the next one?
Amy says
I do them one at a time! In layers. Or sometimes mix two in my hand, then apply them together.
Jaclyn Levy says
Oooo, these questions are super relevant in my life today!
1. Minimal since it was a gym day: just brows and mascara. But, after the gym I put on some light foundation, ELF blush, NYX pink lipstick, and gray eye shadow from my Naked Pallette just so I could look cute to pick up my son from Summer Camp. 😀
2. Every 4th blue moon that falls on a Tuesday.
3. GIRL. I deadlifted 300# today! Reaching 300# has been my goal for almost 2 years! Woop woop! It’s been an excellent day.
4. A park about 45 min from us called Frozen Head. It used to be a logging camp and stripped bare, but you’d never know it now as it is lush full of gorgeous trees, shrubs and plants. It gives me hope for the future. Also there is a lovely waterfall that is a hikeable distance from the parking lot that even my kids can handle! It’s our go-to activity when we have guests in town.
5. TOMORROW I’m going to ULTA with my unicorn 20% off ANYTHING coupon and picking up the Lorac Pro Palette I’ve had my eye on since DECEMBER. CAN YOU TELL I’M EXCITED? 😀 😀 😀
Karen says
UM, AMAZING! You are so strong! I can’t even imagine being able to move that much weight. Congrats on meeting your goal. Is the LORAC palette a reward for finally getting there? I HOPE SO!
Jae says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
minimal. just have some NARS tinted moisturizer. Our house has been busy for that past few days and I’ve opted to have more sleep than tend to my face (brows are a hot mess). The weather over the weekend was crazy hot so I just did some extra touch ups with sunblock.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
I love DIY projects but don’t have much time to actually execute a lot of them. This summer though, since both boys are older, we’re going to tackle their closets. I’ve pinned this closet overhaul and am planning to get the involved with it after their sports camps wrap up this week. It’ll be a great time to purge their old stuff and reorg everything. I’m kinda scared of what we’ll find as we konmari through their closets.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
I was asked by a random mom at the sports field how long I’ve been a nanny when I was playing with my daughter. I *almost* hugged her but just smiled and said that I’ve been her mom for 3 and a half years now.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
Lake Chabot has some easy and great hiking that all 3 kids can enjoy together.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
I’m on the hunt for a concealer that doesn’t settle into my one not-so-fine line under my left eye.
Karen says
Hi Jae,
What’s the skin in your under eye area like? If you have dry/combo skin I’d suggest trying the MUFE HD. It was pretty much perfect for me until recently!
Jae says
I’ll have to make a trip to Sephora today and give it a go. Thanks, Karen!
Jennifer says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today? MUFE foundation, Bobbi Brown Blush in pale pink, Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in nude.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects? Rarely ever. I can bake, cook and garden but DIY is usually a DIMess at my house.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great? Yoga and meditating this morning.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking? Blue Hill Mountain.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for? A mascara that doesn’t bother my eyes and something to rub on my blackheads and make them instantly disappear.
RE dry under eyes–have you tried Nars Radiant concealer? I love it so much.
Amy says
Jennifer – I have that blackhead issue, too. The one thing that’s helped is using a sonic face thingie (either brush or silicone nubs) and a mask 1-2x a week. Any clay mask, Fresh black tea purifying mask, and any fruit enzyme mask beforehand to make sure the clay has 100% pore access and is really doing its job. Maybe if Karen is listening in she’ll have a good clarifying mask recommendation for us. By the way, I vacayed in Blue Hill once and loved it!
Karen says
Hi Amy and Jennifer,
I really like Kate Somerville Exfolikate. It’s a scrub that really seems to break stuff up and unclog whatever’s blocked, but it’s not so aggressive that it hurts to use it. Back in the day when my skin was super oily I used to like Queen Helen Mint Julep Mask. I haven’t used it in ages but I remember really loving it. So cheap too — like $5 at Walgreens!
Amy says
Thanks! I use the Queen Helene clay mask sometimes – yeah, super cheap and works fine!
J says
I use Exfolikate pretty regularly but it doesn’t seem to be helping thus current batch of super blackheads.
I’m thinking I may have to visit the derm
Jennifer says
Love that you vacayed in Blue Hill, it’s a gorgeous tiny little town. We are blessed to live here ?
Thanks for the sonic recommendation. Are you talking about one of the Clarisonic machines? Which one do you recommend?
Amy says
It was so pretty and relaxing there! How amazing to live by the sea. And yes, I used a clarisonic for a few years and now use a Foreo. I’m sure there are plenty of other brands, too. I liked the clarisonic a bit better for the blackhead situation but couldn’t stand remembering to buy new brush heads plus keeping it charged. The Foreo is better on those fronts. Combined with regular masks, it’s been effective enough to keep me using it.
Jennifer says
It truly is amazing and I really try to not take it for granted. Of course, there are always trade-offs, like everything shutting down by 8 p.m. most months of the year and having a 45 minute drive to Sephora. Haha. But I’m used to it now.
Thanks for the Foreo recommendation. I’m thinking that’s going to be the answer. Do you have the mini or the full size?
Amy says
No Reply button below, I guess we maxed it out, so I’m replying here! I know what you mean, we lived in the White Mountains for a few years and despite the amazing beauty and stunningly fresh air, I definitely went through mall withdrawal, haha! I got the full size foreo. It covers more real estate, but I’m sure the mini works just as well. 😉
Karen says
Hi Jennifer,
I have but it still ends up looking pretty dry unless I mix it with something. Ideally I’d like a concealer that I can just put on and go. I got to chatting with someone at Sephora and she suggested trying Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Concealer in the wand! I gave it a swatch today and it seemed like it would work — full coverage, radiant finish that’s somewhat dewy (but not wet looking). I would’ve bought it if they had my color in stock.
J says
Ugh. So frustrating when you want to try something and they don’t have your color!
Erin says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
Nothing today! I’m home and my skin has been getting a little janky, so it’s a rest day!
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
Now that I’m a homeowner again, every few weeks!
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
Swimming laps in the pool, buck naked at night!
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
I love just about anywhere on the west coast. My favorite though so far has been Tuscany! Lots to see and it’s wonderful to hike over costal hills down to the Med!
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
A Ziip! I want one for my 40th!
Karen says
Girl I could never go swimming buck naked in our pool! You’re so brave!
Erin says
Luckily it’s in my own yard, no one is able to see in but one neighbor and it’s dark AF here! There is little better than a skinny dip under the stars!
Suzanne C says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
Non-existent, because I’m coming down with a cold. (Thank you for all the kisses and germs, tiny humans that spent the weekend with me.) Yesterday, however, it was On. Point. I almost freaked myself out with how well it turned out.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
All the time. We did most of the renovation when we moved into our house a couple of years ago. I’m even starting a blog about DIY and crafts.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
Mom and I took our 11 y/o shopping for shoes yesterday (which she usually loathes) and we had the best day.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
Hiking? You crack me up.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
Something that will exfoliate my face without burning my sensitive skin. So, like, the weakest peel ever, I guess.
Try Kiehl’s avocado under-eye cream. That stuff is amazing.
Karen says
Sorry to hear you’re not feeling well and I hope you get better soon. You gotta tell me about the makeup you did yesterday! I want the scoop!
Suzanne C says
I really didn’t do much different than usual, I just did it better than usual, lol. I did decided to break out my UD All-Nighter, since we were going to be in and out of the heat all afternoon. It really helped a lot.
I also discovered a trick for using my Marc Jacobs gel eyeliner, which helped a lot. I love the formula, but it’s really messy putting it on straight from the pencil because it’s too soft. So I tried putting it on with my Sephora Pro #33 Liner Brush and that made all the difference.
Kate & Bree says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
NADA aside from moisturizer. I’ve just hit that point where I’m like, “I’m 29, my skin is great, why wear makeup?” Plus…energy. No energy for that shiz.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
Maybe once or twice a year. My mom and I just dried her anniversary rose petals and made a rose potpourri from them. I’ve been really into pressing flowers from my new garden lately because I’ve never had so many flowers before!
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
Abby wasn’t feeling too great two weeks ago because her feet needed to be reshod and she was going into heat (ah, lady stuff. We can all feel bad for poor Miss Abby. No one likes their estrus cycle, especially in the summer) and it was a humid and hot day (must have been 82 degrees without humidity), so my coach taught me how to bathe her. She was so dirty as she hadn’t had a bath since before she came to us. It must have felt so good to her and it made me feel so good to see all of that dirt, dust, dead fur and dead skin come off her. I got a little wet in the process, but it was really fun, especially since I got to take her grazing for grass and to watch her graze is hysterical as she loves to stuff her mouth so full of grass that clumps fall out! She was nice and clean for the farrier the next day. She got her feet trimmed and new shoes just in time for the show that Friday, but she was a bit crabby because being in heat must really suck for a horse. We got third place in our class, but I think the judge was just crabby.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
I distinctly remember Colorado and I miss those trails. They were so clearly mapped out, but there are some pretty small dunes here and the petrifying springs that I want to try out this summer. Michigan is a lot of fun too, but I haven’t hiked it much. I’ve done so many activities there though. I’m going up there this weekend!
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
Well, it’s not necessarily a beauty product, but a hair product. I’m scouring for a silicone-free, sulfate-free degunker (a la Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo) shampoo. I’m currently using apple cider vinegar to get build-up out of my hair and omg, the smell. THE SMELL. It’s so nauseating. (I can’t. I just can’t.)
I love the photo of you and Connor on the little bikes. Oh man, she is growing up fast. I remember when she was a weeeeeeeeeeee little baby. It’s hard to think she’s getting a “big girl” bike soon! AHHHH! Where did time go?
Savannah says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
-the usual, soft glam. The star is sweet heat extra dimension eyeshadow. I love it. It’s holy grail material for me.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
-never, ha ha
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
-had a paint night with some friends from work. It was great to escape the dump that is my personal life right now.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
-hiking? What? I don’t do that 🙂
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
-nothing at the moment, actually which is quite strange.
Also, I have to say, seeing dead plants makes so sad. I actually went ‘awe’ 🙁 when I saw it lol
Kathleen says
On be dry undereyes front, have you tried:
– squalane oil under concealer? I squirt a little Biossance Squalane on, let it sink in, then go in with Nars Radiant Creamy
– OR Bobbi Brown Color Corrector (which I feel like I learned from when you featured a male makeup artist – I figured if it covered his 5 o’clock shadow, it would cover my undereye circles ha!).
Susan C. says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today? No makeup on my face today. None at all, not even sunscreen. I’ve been tackling Scary Closet all day. At this point, it looks more organized but I still need to sell/donate/return a minor mountain of stuff I forgot I had.
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects? Not often enough. For crafty stuff, I tend to buy the supplies, abort the mission before starting, and stow everything away for a year or two. (See: Scary Closet.) For home improvement stuff, I can caulk, and basically hang anything that involves being screwed in as long as it doesn’t involve a drill. I finally purchased a drill but am too intimidated to use it.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great? My sister and her husband went to Kauai for a week’s vacation. She sent plenty of pictures. It was nice to see them both so happy and relaxed.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking? There’s a beautiful park 10 minutes from my house, with a stream, trails, a nice mix of hills and flat paths and a somewhat fancy restaurant. What more could one ask for?
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for? A conditioner for my baby-fine color-treated hair. The criteria are: 1. Inexpensive; 2. Not too thick; and 3. Must smell good! I only use conditioner on the ends, and it seems like everything is either too watery or too goopy, leaving a sticky finish even after I rinse it off.
LindaLibraLoca says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today?
Khaki gold smokey eyes, a nude lip and a very light base: just some concealer and powder. Sick kid and home office…
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects?
Too often. If I had a say, I´d never do them, but with a house and kids I have to from time to time.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great?
I can’t think of anything, actually. Seems I haven’t had a very uplifting week so far.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking?
New Zealand? It was so beautiful there.
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
Always on the hunt for the perfect foundation.
Rachel R. says
1. What’s the scoop on your makeup today? Mauves and purples
2. How often do you tackle DIY projects? Pretty often. I’m crafty.
3. Something recent that made you feel really great? My brother found some old family photos while packing up my mom’s house. I hope he’ll find more. She wasn’t good about taking care of things, unfortunately, so we’re lucky he found any.
4. Where’s your favorite place to go hiking? Anywhere that’s reasonably flat. My asthma hates going uphill too much. 🙁
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
Rachel R. says
5. A beauty product you’re currently prowling for?
Nothing in particular.
