You might be wondering, “So what in tarnation is this Monday Poll thing anyway!?”
Well, it isn’t exactly a poll. It’s more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past seven years. (It’s like a kickstart for your brain.) I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
- Your latest and greatest discovery?
These Organic Corn Chip Dippers from Trader Joe’s. You can get them in the chip/snack section! They’re like the TJ’s version of Fritos, and for some reason, they exceed all normal realms of heavenly awesomeness when you have them with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Also, this Kate Spade Cobble Hill Small Ella Cross Body Purse, which just might be the most perfect purse on the planet (it’s cute, super soft, and can be worn cross-body or hand-held).
- Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
Uh…probably not.Nothing against green, because I like the color, and I’m usually adventurous when it comes to my hair and hair color…but I’m having a hard time seeing myself as a green-haired girl.
- What’s your standby/fallback snack?
A bowl of sliced fruit drizzled with a little honey, and the fruit depends on the season. Right now I’m all about strawberries and blueberries. - What makes someone beautiful?
Nothing having to do with society. Being comfortable in your own skin and understanding who you are and loving every single part of your personality (even the messy parts) makes someone truly beautiful. - Road trip! You and some friends decide to drive hundreds of miles to a vacation destination. Do you take the direct route (which gets you there faster) or the scenic route?
The direct route on the way there and the scenic route on the way back. That way we get to the fun stuff quicker but have more time to take in the view (and take more pics) on the way back.
Your turn. 🙂 Just copy and paste the following questions into a comment with your answers. I look forward to reading ’em!
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
4. What makes someone beautiful?
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
Gooood morning!
*Big yawn and stretch*
Guess who’s really happy about the fact that she went to bed at 9 last night?
Yes, I’m THAT person.
Whatevs, I got nine hours of sleep, and it was glorious. Right now I feel like I could almost conquer the world! Amazing what a little extra sleep can do.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. What was the highlight? Mine was meeting a three-legged cat named Ernie yesterday at the mall. His assistants (cat people, obviously) brought him along with them to do some shopping, and Ernie was totally cool with it! He was super mellow and even let me hold him.
Ernie, unlike Tabs, enjoys leisurely window shopping. Tabs, on the other paw, always insists that I book him appointments ahead of time at Chanel, Dior, etc. so the stores can pull together outfits for him beforehand.
You know, typical diva behavior.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Tracy says
Good for you for going to bed early. I really need to start doing that on Sundays because my 6am wake up call is getting harder every week. Glad you had a lovely weekend! I had booked an appt with a Nordstrom beauty stylist for my 15 year old niece and also shopped the Anniversary Sale then we went for dinner and I introduced her to sushi. Even though I blog I am in no way shape for form experienced in makeup application besides on my own face. She’s a beautiful girl to begin with but the makeup application was flawless and definitely age appropriate. It was so good I went ahead and booked one for myself.

These Monday polls are so fun!
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
My Polaroid ZIP mobile printer! I LOVE this thing. It connects to your smartphone via bluetooth and there’s an app to edit and print your photos. It’s so quick and easy and prints out these little 2×3 pictures, that I must say are pretty good for what they are. Love, love, love it. Got it on Amazon!
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
Green, no. I just can’t imagine an entire head of green hair. I would do pink or purple, though. (IF my stylist would let me…I can picture her face so clearly…haha)
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
I’m such a sucker for crunchy, salty things. My favorite of life is white cheddar popcorn. It’s so bad. I wish I was as well-behaved as you, Karen, with your fruit snacking!
4. What makes someone beautiful?
Someone who is perfectly happy and confident in decisions that buck societal trends or pressure. I read an article about a NYC writer who had a pretty impressive job but gave it all up to live in (I think) the Virgin Islands. She runs an ice cream stand there. I’m in awe of her. There is so much pressure to be successful and climb the ladder and have it all, and someone who can confidently say “Nope, I’d rather do THIS,” is beautiful to me.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
If we’re heading to a specific destination we’re amped about, definitely the direct route. But I agree Karen, if there are cool spots to check out on the drive back, I’m all for it.
Karen says
Oh, that Polaroid printer sounds like something I would absolutely love! Gonna check it out on amazon. Thanks, Meghan!
P.S. White cheddar popcorn is the best. 🙂
Karen says
Your niece is so lucky to have you! Sounds like you gals had a fun day.
When is your appointment to see the stylist? That sounds like fun!
Lulle says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Lavender Earl Grey tea. Totally rocked my world!
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
No. Another unconventional color maybe (like purple or blue) but not green.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
I don’t snack much, but if I feel hungry before it’s time for lunch or dinner I’ll often just have a slice of bread.
4. What makes someone beautiful?
Being true to themselves, honest and spontaneous. And smiling eyes.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
The scenic route. The trip itself is as important as the destination!
I hope you have a great week Karen!
Karen says
Oh my gosh, lavender earl grey sounds DELICIOUS! What’s the brand of tea, do you remember?
I hope you have a great week too!
Lulle says
Last one I finished was from American Tea Room, an LA based company. Very good but PRICEY!
Otherwise I find it at a local tea store.
Elena says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Not really a new discovery..but a recent addiction. Avocados. I love making avocado toast for breakfast
Also Karen, you should check out the cat’s meow collection from Kate spade! I am eyeing the black cat purse! Omg so cute!
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
Maybe if it was a cool seafoam green or something! Not really feeling incredible hulk green lol. I have been thinking of dyeing my hair silver or teal though!
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
Popcorn! I really like boom chicka pop. Also chips and TJ’s tomatillo salsa. So good!
4. What makes someone beautiful?
I think owning who you are and doing what makes you feel good inside and outside make you beautiful. I also admire people who go against the trends in society. I mean I think some trends are really cool (like the whole dyeing your hair silver/grey) but I like when people do what they want and not what say, the fashion magazines say is in.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
If there is time to spare I would totally take the scenic route!
Karen says
Avocado toast is the best! You know what’s also good? Adding a few slices of tomato and some thinly sliced cheese. OM NOM NOM!
Kiss & Make-up says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery? The Bioderma Hydrabio Anti-UV mist! It. Is. Awesome.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? Depends… How much are you willing to pay me? 😉
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? Nuts and dried fruit.
4. What makes someone beautiful? True genuine happiness.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? Scenic!
Karen says
True genuine happiness IS beautiful, I totally agree!
Ashleigh says
Congrats on getting to bed early! My sleep has been lacking as of late. Going through one of those phases where I lay down and stare at the ceiling for hours on end. I tried some nice herbal tea last night, but it didn’t seem to help 🙁
1. Your latest and greatest discovery? Flavored almonds. Jalapeño Smokehouse and Sea Salt and Vinegar. Although after chowing down on them for awhile I’m beginning to think I should cut back based on the salt intake… :/
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? If only I had a hair color that dyed readily and could be dyed back the same color… so no.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? I always have some string cheese around, which my boyfriend finds amusing as he calls it “kid food”.
4. What makes someone beautiful? A beautiful heart!
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? Whichever has better rocks. 🙂 If you’re into cool nature and science that applies to your roadtrip, pick up the Roadside Geology books! Love them!
Karen says
Hi Ashleigh,
Sorry to hear you’ve had trouble falling asleep. Have you ever tried listening to an audio book? I do that when I need a little help falling asleep. I have mine downloaded on my phone (I use Audible), which I keep on my nightstand. I just turn on the book, set the sleep timer (usually for 15 minutes), listen to it for a while in the dark while I’m laying in bed, and then I fall right asleep. It’s really relaxing and usually knocks me out within a few minutes.
Ashleigh says
Hi Karen!
So many posts to catch up on! I haven’t tried that, I think I’ll give it a whirl. Reading itself is a hit or miss- I either get sleepy right away or I’ll get into the book and stay up too late reading more of it…
Carol in a Page says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Dampaì, an Italian designer that makes the cutest accessories, like this fabulous aqua purse http://wp.me/p6s7kt-4d
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? I don’t think so… but a few years ago I dyed it fiery red!
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts.
4. What makes someone beautiful? Happiness. Might sound cheesy but I really think that people look better when they’re happy.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? Definitely the scenic route if I’m not pressed for time.
Karen says
Hi Carol,
How cool that you dyed your hair red! I had red streaks in mine for a while in my 20s. It was fun but so hard to maintain.
I hope you have a great week!
Carol in a Page says
VERY hard to maintain, I got tired pretty quickly!
You too have a great week!
Sabrina says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Blogilates on youtube! The videos are short but a killer workout. Also, the host/creator is honest when a move was even intense for her.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
I had all hot pink hair once. And blue in that. And purple. The time for “fun” hair colors has passed.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
Either hummus with veggies or a hard boiled egg. The egg is best for on the go or right when I get home and want to kill a man from hunger.
4. What makes someone beautiful?
Who they are, and how that shines through their physical appearance. Yes, makeup and clothes can make people beautiful, but there’s a certain look in the eyes of the truly beautiful that doesn’t go away when all the ornamentation is gone.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
It depends where we’re trying to go and if we have a deadline. Probably the direct route though, because I love my friends, but extended periods of time in the car with anybody leads to me being a fussy grump.
Hope you’re having a good Monday, Karen! My case of the Mondays won’t leave me alone.
Karen says
Hi Sabrina,
Thank you for mentioning Blogilates. I’ve been looking for some new workouts to do. 🙂
Hope you were able to get over your case of the Mondays!
P.S. How was your weekend? Do anything fun?
Sabrina says
You’ll love blogilates! Honestly, the three minute abs make me want to die but then hey, ab workout in three minutes? Same with the thigh videos.
I think I have a weekend hangover! I had a three day weekend – and I hung out with my mom, which is always good – so I’ve been pouty and all “I don’t want to be here grump grump grump” all day. But the day is almost over!
Lisa M. says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Jarrow unflavored whey protein powder. It has simple ingredients and easily mixed with fruit or whatever you like to make an extra boost drink/smoothie.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
Yes, I would rock my inner mermaid and go to the beach for a walk and sunset. Then back to the natural brown.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
any type of cracker, I need the touch of salt
4. What makes someone beautiful?
a beautiful soul
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
It depends on the temperature. If it is cool, I like the scenic route. If it is hot or freezing cold, the direct route.
Karen says
Hi Lisa,
I’m intrigued by your new favorite protein powder, because I have trouble getting enough protein. How’s the texture of that powder? Is it gritty or smooth?
Lisa M. says
I find it is smooth. I use fruit and orange juice to flavor it up. It does not cause the “after affects” caused by some other protein powders. It does a great job with the energy as well. http://www.jarrow.com/product/182/Whey_Protein_Unflavored
Karen says
OK, sounds like something I would like. The only kind we have right now in the house is my husband’s vanilla flavored protein and my tummy is SO not feeling faux vanilla right now. I think I’m going to give this a go! Thank you, Lisa!
Lisa M. says
You are welcome, Karen! I hope it works for you. Take care…
Leah G. says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
How years can go by since I’ve seen some old friends and we pick up like no time at all has passed. 🙂
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? Nooo
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? Yogurt or fruit
4. What makes someone beautiful? Their smile. Their kindness. When someone is comfortable in their own skin.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? If it is a short road trip (45 minutes to 2 hours) I’d take the scenic route. If it’s a longer road trip I go direct. But when on vacation we typically take the scenic route to get in the sites!
Karen says
Hi Leah G.,
I totally understand what you mean with your answer to the first question. That’s how it is with my friends. So much time can go by, and then when you get together, it’s like you saw each other just yesterday.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Did you do anything fun?
Pamela Haddad says
Does Tabs know you were 2-timing him with Ernie? What a cute cat!! But seriously, whenever I pet a cat outside the home, the cats go nuts and aren’t happy. But when I pet a dog, they are really cool with it. Just wondered what Tabs had to say about it when you came home with another cat scent on you. Enjoy your day!
Karen says
Hi Pamela,
Usually when he smells another cat on me his tail puffs up and he starts to mewl, but this time he didn’t make any noises. I was kind of surprised! How many cats do you have? I remember one of them wis named Simba…
Pamela Haddad says
The “baby” is Simba and his older “brothers” are Tazz and Bagheera. If I pet a dog they want to rub against my hand and linger, as they take it all in. But their reaction is decidedly irritated if it was a cat I petted. They sniff once and kinda flick their tail and walk away. Too funny! I’m glad that Tabs was cool with it.
ericca says
1.Your latest and greatest discovery? Sally Hansen cream hair bleach for the face. I used it on my eyebrows when i changed my hair color from black to red.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? No, maybe lilac
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? Butterfinger candy bar.
4. What makes someone beautiful? Their personality first and smile then if they have bomb eyebrows.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? Direct Route. I want to get out an explore what I came for.
Karen says
LOL, Ericca! I’m always checking out people’s brows too. 🙂
Have a great week!
LindaLibraLoca says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Hm, cant actually think of anything on the top of my head.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
No. Never. I am very concerned with my hairs health and dying it green only to undo that witch loads of bleach would kill it.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
Watermelon in the summer or an apple with cheese.
4. What makes someone beautiful?
Serenity. And smile lines.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
The direct route. Most scenic routes make me motion sick, unless I am the driver, and in that case I cant enjoy the view.
But I never get to choose, so we always drive the scenic route and my husband takes pictures of me looking sick.
True love.
Karen says
I get carsickness too, so I feel your pain. Have you ever heard of Sea Bands? They are accupressure wrist bands that are designed to relieve motion sickness and nausea. I use them and have had pretty good results.
Lisa M. says
My daughters and I get car sick as well. I found Hyland’s Motion Sickness homeopathic tablets works well for us. You don’t need water to take them, they dissolve in the mouth.
Karen says
Oh, I’ll have to try those! Going to add them to my Amazon wish list right now.
I’ve also found that sucking on sour hard candy helps too.
LindaLibraLoca says
Ha, sucking on sour hard candy sounds like more fun than homeopathic pills.
Actually acupressure does help, but I don’t own a wristband yet. maybe I should invest in one before the next trip.
Kwmechelle says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
THIS! Have you ever heard of or tried this? It got rave reviews from one of the girls on the Makeup Social app & one of the SA at Sephora. It’s $68 for such a small bottle so I got a sample from two different Sephoras to take it for a two week test spin before committing #dontJudgeMe 🙂 I haven’t seen a noticeable difference but it’s only been, like, three days & im using it twice a day. Hoping to experience mind blowing, earth shattering, 7th wonder of the world effects. I’ll keep ya posted.
DR. DENNIS GROSS SKINCARE
Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? Nope, not green but I’ve been itching to play with some hair chalk in the colors blue, purple, pink or all three. I think it’ll look especially dope on a twist out or my Afro puff.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? Half a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. Yes, half a dozen. Yes, I eat them all. No, I don’t share them. Yes, most times I eat them in one sitting. Again, #dontJudgeMe 🙂
4. What makes someone beautiful? Hands down it’s who they are on the inside. One of my fave quotes from Kevin Aucion (as I butcher it) makeup cannot cover up ugly. A beautiful spirit counts for SO much. As one who modeled (briefly) and worked in corporate America with some brilliant & highly educated minds, inner beauty/spirit is what truly counts. Steps away from podium….
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? Scenic route both ways!! I’m a sucker for the beauty in Mother Nature. It can turn even the longest, most mundane road trip into a happy time for all. Even when I’m riding solo, taking the scenic route all the way puts me in my happy space.
Happy Monday, dude 🙂
kristen @ glambunctious says
AW!! Ernie! A cat that window shops? That’s a trait I’d love in a feline companion!
1. Your latest and greatest discovery? It’s not “new” but it’s new to me: ordering drinks “skinny” (skim milk) at Starbucks really doesn’t change the taste! Plus obviously you save on calories quite a bit. Win-win! I know this is a duh for some, but I always assumed using skim would change the taste!
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? No, but pink or purple really appeals to me! Too bad I have super dark hair. If I was a natural blonde, I’d totally be unicorning.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? Pepperidge Farm Cheddar or Parmesan Goldfish! They’re just always good.
4. What makes someone beautiful? True beauty comes from a great personality!
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? SCENIC ALL THE WAY! When we drove parts of Route 66 in Arizona, it was amazing. We got to see so many of the roadside signs and attractions that have been around since the ’50s. I’ve never felt more American just driving on the open road, appreciating a part of history! I’ll treasure that memory forever.
Amoure Jones says
I’ve been trying to get to bed early but of course I can’t shut my brain off to rest so I end up turning in at either 11pm or 12am. It doesn’t help that I rise early, but a dose of caffeine to the veins and I’m right as rain.
This weekend not much for me just party planning as usual.
1. Your latest and greatest discovery? Silk Cashew Milk. It’s only 25 calories in it’s unsweetened flavor and the taste of cashews is so refreshing.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? Although green is my favorite color I wouldn’t think of it in a million years.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? Popcorn – white cheddar, black peppercorn or kettlecorn.
4. What makes someone beautiful? Being kind to others.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? If I’m in a rush direct, but if I’m not definitely scenic.
Kelly says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Buxom eyeshadows. I only bought one this time so I could test the quality, and it is ahhmazing! Wild Nights is a shimmery purple, mauve-y sort of color, looks great with green eyes.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
Nope. Not a chance! I have very pale skin that turns a bright pink/red within 10 minutes of being in sunlight, so I’d rather not look like a Christmas fanatic.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
Trader Joe’s Coconut Chips. So yummy!
4. What makes someone beautiful?
The way they treat other people. You could be the prettiest person in the world, but if you treat someone else like garbage, you’re just superficial.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
Just like you said, direct route there and the scenic route back!
Karen says
Hi Kelly,
Are you talking about the Buxom eyeshadows from the new Eyeshadow Bar collection? Aren’t they amazing!
Kelly says
Yes! A fellow blogger suggested them last week and I just had to try them out. They’re so pigmented and blend so easily, definitely gives my UD shadows a run for their money! I think it’s safe to say that I’ll be making my own palette at my next Sephora visit. 🙂
Jennifer says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery? homemade pineapple-infused vodka over ice. It’s amazing and I’m not a vodka drinker.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? no
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? pretzels, nuts, the saltier the better. Sometimes wasabi peas.
4. What makes someone beautiful? their heart
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? what you said, direct there, scenic back
Karen says
I had a rough incident with vodka circa 1999 and haven’t touched it since! That pineapple infused version doesn’t sound half bad though!
I hope you and The Almighty Paco Rabbane had a good weekend. What did you guys do?
Katherine M says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
~Dole Chopped Salads. 160 to 180 calories for the entire bag, and you can get a couple of servings out of them. Been my faves for lunch and all I have to do is add a favorite meat for the protein. The sunflower seed one with Sweet Onion Citrus dressing is my favorite.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
~Probably not, as I’m not really allowed to for my chosen field. I’m very into the temporary dyes, though, the ones that will work on my dyed dark hair. Anything that washes out easily is good for wearing the funky colors!
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
~Chips and dip or carrots and dip. Any kind of dip will work!
4. What makes someone beautiful?
~I’ve learned in life that someone can look really beautiful on the outside, but how they treat others is ultimately what makes them beautiful or ugly people. I worked with one nurse in the past in the ER who I had defended for years against people that hated her. She was physically a beautiful woman, and I could see why people were attracted to wanting to be around her based on that. But as a person, she was very nasty to people and not genuine. I would not call her a beautiful person and after she was mean to me for no good reason, I seriously wondered why I defended her for so long. It was a complete waste of my time. When someone is truly a beautiful person, their happiness and confidence just shines through. You are a beautiful person, Karen. You truly care about people and have a lot to live for!
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
~Being a motorcyclist, we always tend to take the scenic route! I will sometimes take the “long way” home from work, I figure I’m sitting in traffic anyways so might as well make it a pretty ride!
Karen says
Katherine, thank you for being so sweet. I think you’re absolutely wonderful, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you and talking to for the last few years! 🙂
Maggie says
Ernie looks a bit like a little visitor I get everyday–my yard is one of his stops as he makes his daily rounds. 🙂
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Amy’s Organic Non-Dairy Dessert. I’m allergic to milk and MISSED ice cream but then I discovered coconut milk-based ice cream. I love the vanilla–it’s soooo good. My parents aren’t allergic to milk but they love it too–they say the draw is the distinct flavor of FRESH coconut milk–which they thought was impossible to find.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
Hmm…maybe teal? That sort of counts–can’t make teal without green.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
Dried apricots or dried dates. I mix it up with nuts sometimes, but it’s typically one of those dried fruits. I’m always on-the-go and need something that fuels me without giving a blood sugar crash.
4. What makes someone beautiful?
A smile–it lights up the face and one given from the heart makes anyone look exceptionally beautiful.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
If there is a destination in mind and we’re crunched for time, then most likely the direct route. Just put in an audiobook or good music and you can enjoy the time with or without scenery. Plus, my locale is luckily pretty scenic–we can see the ocean and the forest from our house. 🙂
India says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery? AMAZON PRIME, I always thought it was stupid until I realized how much crap I ordered from them, and the shipping cost was crazy!
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? Hmmm, I don’t think I could do that whole upkeep.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? I think it would have to be strawberries and blackberries, I always seem to have them in my fridge
4. What makes someone beautiful? Their heart@
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? Direct! The scenic is always more crowded
xx,
India
Rachel R. says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery? JCats Pout-holic lipstick for a cheap thrill. I bought all 18 shades, and I’m impressed. Most of the shades are really opaque and all are smooth. My favorite is the dark blue-gray shade. It’s similar to Melt’s Space Cake, but a little darker and bluer. Lots of fun funky colors like that.
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green? If I felt like it, yes. Mine is currently magenta. I work from home, so I can get away with whatever I like.
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack? Fruit, especially apples. I always have at least 2-3 varieties of apples in the house.
4. What makes someone beautiful? Having kindness and love in their hearts. It shines through.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route? I agree with you: Direct to, scenic from.
Anastassia says
Latest discovery: A suchet of snail mask for face. Makes it very soft and glowy. I would never dye my hair green. A standby/fallback snack watermellon and mellon lately. What makes someone beautiful? I think it is kindness. Road trip: I would take the direct route to go and the scenic on the way back. If I had time I would prefer the scenic on the way there though.
Isabella says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
That I can eat eggs for breakfast again! I’ve been sick for a long time now, and my stomach has not been able to handle anything but white bread in the morning. Until now! 😀
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
No, I’m a bit of a coward when it comes to my hair. I googled green hair though and emerald green looks amazing!
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
Olives, cheese and melon.
4. What makes someone beautiful?
When you can see a persons inner beauty shine trough is really beautiful. A smile and a kind heart.
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
Depends on where I’m going.
Trude says
Hooray for kitty snuggles! 🙂 I’m having the opposite effect as you. We’ve had rain and crazy humidity down here the last couple days, and my place doesn’t have a/c, so when I got back from the BF’s Sunday night I hardly slept at all. Ugh.
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Pixi Glow Tonic. 😉 Also the food blog Love and Olive Oil – made their recipe for beef taco meat last night and it was yuuuuummy (although I should have cut the amount of chili powder even more, such a baby about spice!).
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
It’s my favorite color, but I don’t think it would work for me!
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
Almonds and chunks of cheddar cheese.
4. What makes someone beautiful?
I notice most when someone is self-assured. They carry themselves in a certain way, seem to really be comfortable in their own skin, you know?
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
I’m with you, direct one way and scenic the other – although I have more patience to take my time at the beginning of a trip! (Especially going LA–>SF, the central valley is so boring!)
Erin says
1. Your latest and greatest discovery?
Probably a toss up between Sunday Riley Good Genes and the Fresh Black Tea Essence. Non-beauty stuff would be Keifer water!
2. Would you ever dye your entire head of hair green?
Been there, done that!
3. What’s your standby/fallback snack?
A protein bar or a pre-portioned bag of trail mix from TJ’s!
4. What makes someone beautiful?
Their personality. I’ve met plenty of “beautiful people” as soon as they open their mouth… it’s over. I’ve met plenty of average people who become enchanting in the exact same way!
5. Road trip! Do you take the direct route or the scenic route?
It’s all dependant on what I’m going to see!
