You might be wondering, “So what in tarnation is this Monday Poll thing anyway!?”
Well, it isn’t exactly a poll. It’s more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past seven years. (It’s like a kickstart for your brain.) I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
- What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Oh, that’s easy. Laundry. Doesn’t matter if I just washed and put away a big pile of clothes/towels/linens/whatever, there’s always something more to wash. It never ends!Same goes for makeup brushes. I’m always and forever washing makeup brushes…
- Something you wish you’d studied in school?
The arts of bargaining and negotiation, although right now I’m not even sure there were classes for those things…but they’re such handy skills to have for work and regular everyday life.I never thought about bargaining for anything as a teenager and a kid because I was either too shy or afraid of rocking the boat, but I’m trying to get better at it.
Oh, did I tell you that I set up a bargaining challenge for myself? I’ve been saving money to get some new furniture, and when the time comes, I’m going to force myself to attempt to negotiate the price down.
I figure it’s the best way to learn how to do it (and to not be afraid to walk away if I have to).
- Do you ever bring your pet to work?
Every. Single. Day. 🙂 Because while working from home has its own set of challenges (feeling cut off from the world, having issues with work/home life boundaries, not having work buddies to vent to when you’re feeling stressed…), being away from your crabby plus-size tabby cat isn’t one of them. - Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Now, a girly girl, but I was more of a tom boy when I was a teen and tween. - How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
Well, crap. Let me think about that… I think there are about 15 in my closet right now? But I really only use two of them. One’s a brown Michael Kors tote, and the other is a red Kate Spade cross-body.I think this is the universe’s way of letting me know that the last thing I need is another handbag, LOL!
Your turn. 🙂 Just copy and paste the following questions into a comment with your answers. I look forward to reading ’em!
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
Hiya, sweet pea. Greetings to you on this lovely, albeit rainy, Monday. You know what’s one of my favorite things to have for breakfast in the fall? A bowl of sliced persimmons (but they have to be cold) and a cup of coffee.
On that note, that persimmon up there at the top of this post is now in my tummy.
Mmm…
I hope your belly is full this morning and your heart is light. 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Kiss & Make-up says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
– Laundry.
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
– Astronomy.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
– Nope, don’t have a pet + work from home 🙂
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
– Both I guess! In some ways I’m very girly, but at the same time I’m also a bit of a tomboy.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
– Five or so. But I only use two of them very regularly.
Ruchita says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Dishes. I’m not sure how two people generate so much mess, but it feels like I’m always running the dishwasher!
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
I wish I’d learned more about finances, accounting, etc. Sometimes it would be nice if school had some lessons in real-life adult stuff.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
Haha, I wish! They would hate riding in the car and being taken to a new place. They like to help (walk across my laptop) when I work from home. 🙂
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Definitely more of a girly girl!
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I think I have 4-5. I generally rotate through them pretty often. I like using a cross body bag when I’m running errands because it’s easier than lugging around a big handbag.
Happy Monday!
Jax says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Hoovering, with two long haired cats it’s always time to hoover.
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
Philosophy – being dyslexic reading is hard, so I wish I’d had the chance to listen/discuss instead
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
No, but occasionally I could work from home.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Varies day to day, probably just on the girly girl side 🙂
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
Ooo, 10-12, 2 or 3 regularly, I generally have a go to bad for the season that gets hammered and then thrown away, I’m hard on my bags, and then a few different ones for specific situations (posh, evening, days out, small, etc) they tend to be classic styles as they last longer.
Jessica says
Do you ever bring your pet to work?
Not generally.
But a few years ago I had a rat who needed to have her teeth clipped every six weeks. The vet was very convenient from the office, so I would bring my rats (she did better with her friend being there) to work in a travel cage, hidden in a shopping bag.
🙂
Leah G. says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? Looking out the window and wishing I was outside. 🙂
2. Something you wish you studied in school? I studied Communications for undergrad and business for grad school. I liked undergrad best so I wish my school also had a grad program in Communications.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? No…Maximus would not like being at work. I have a few co-workers that have brought their dogs in. I’ve worked in dog friendly offices before (loved that environment).
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? I fall down the middle. My tom boy features of my youth stick with me when I’m on my ATV or snowmobile. But I still love dresses and skirts to show my girly side!
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? 6. I use 3 most often depending on the season.
Kelly Doe says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?

Business and how to do basic finances
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
I am a college student so… no 🙂
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
I am somewhere in between actually 🙂 during week, I don’t wear makeup and wear mostly sweaters, but during weekends I am all about makeup and dresses 🙂
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I can tell you right away that I use 3, and how many do I have? I don’t think there’s a finite number, really 😀

2. Something you wish you studied in school? accounting, lol
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? I don’t have a pet 🙁 and I work from home unless I’m traveling for business not applicable 😉
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? girly girl, no question
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? 10 handbags and I am often to lazy to switch
Bree says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Dishes, picking up clothes…wishing I could take a nap
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
Nutrition. I took a few classes and liked it. I kind of wish I’d majored in it.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
I wish I could. I bring her to the barn with me and that’s my other work 😉
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Girly but I’m a country girl and like being outside. I’m not afraid to get dirty and I’d rather hang out with guys than girls.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
Oh my! I don’t even know but I have 3 Michael kors bags and the rest could probably go. I buy a new one and use it for a year or 2 before I move on.
Karen says
LOL, Bree re: taking a nap. I wish I could take one right now!
P.S. I have a Michael Kors tote that I’ve had for YEARS that I use all the time. Those things last!
Bree says
Ya I feel like I can never get caught up on sleep! lol
I have a hot pink Hamilton that I used for over a year and then I got a black Hamilton travler last year for Christmas. I still love it. I also have a little cross body I switch to. I would like to have a luggage brown if I got another. They are very nice bags. I have a ton of coach but I just got tired of them.
Tulipthecat says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Putting clothes away. I feel like I put them all away after they have been washed and when I look in the laundry basket there is more to put away.
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
I would agree with the art of bargaining. I can’t barter to save my life. I always feel bad…
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
Unfortunately and fortunately I can’t bring my cat to work. When I do work from home she sits on my keyboard. Since my job is a writer, that doesn’t quite work. Although when I’m at work I do miss her.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
I grew up with 2 brothers so I was more of a tom boy. Now I’m more of a girly girl but not too much.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
Oh gosh…lets say too many to count. I was using my Madewell tote all summer long but now that it’s raining I had to switch it out for my Madewell satchel. On the weekends I use my LeSportSac cross over bag or my TimBuk2 messenger bag. Lets just say I’m a compulsive purse buyer.
I put up our fake Christmas tree and Tulip was so happy. She sits under the tree and once I put the ornaments on she was in Heaven. She was pawing them off and chasing them. She even tried to climb the tree… By the way I heard there was a squirrel in Novoto that was biting people so be careful!
Karen says
LOL, that story has been all over the place. Both my brother and my friend who lives here sent it (apparently it’s made national news, crazy!). Anyway, the squirrel lives in a neighborhood that’s quite a ways from me. But I’ll still be careful. 🙂
You are brave to put ornaments on the lower branches of your tree. We have to leave ours empty because Tabs cannot resist the temptation!
P.S. I didn’t know you were a writer! What kind of writing do you do?
Tulipthecat says
When I was assembling the tree Tulip was laying on all of the branches rubbing her face on everything. Once you turn the lights on she goes under the tree. Last year she swatted most of the ornaments. I found them all behind the tree.
I’m a medical writer. I write up clinical study reports and documents that are submitted to the FDA for the approval of drugs.
Karen says
Of course she had to rub her face on everything, since she owns everything (including you). LOL! I swear Tabs runs the show here. We wouldn’t have it any other way!
The good thing about putting up a fake tree is that you don’t have to deal with her drinking the water out of the base. Tabs does that ALL THE TIME and it drives me nuts. He has a huge bowl of water next to his food, yet all he wants to do is drink that tree water. It’s a habit I can’t seem to get him to break.
Oh, that’s cool that you’re a medical writer. How did you get into the field? Was it something you’ve always wanted to do?
Denise S says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Reading– on the computer, books and magazines! Also cleaning!
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
A language. Wish I’d had the opportunity to study French or Spanish
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
No I’m a nurse. No pets besides seeing eye dogs allowed!
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Always been a girly girl! When I was a little girl every year I asked for a vanity set for Christmas. One year I finally got it!
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
Around 50 lol. I rotate them but really have way too many!
Karen says
LOL, Denise, I also asked for a vanity set for years. It was one with a ruffle skirt and an oval mirror, le sigh! My parents never got it, though.
I remember you mentioning that you worked as a nurse. Which department are you in?
denise S says
Lol it took years before I got that vanity set with the make pretend lipstick . They kept buying dolls and skates , hated them!! LOL. I worked in critical care for 15 years . When the kids were young I became a float nurse [ different adult units] because of flexibility.Semi retired for 10 years now.
Karen says
Oh, I hated getting dolls too. I was all about the stuffed animals. 🙂 Random but do you remember pogo sticks?! I had one of those, and now that I think about it I have NO idea what my parents were thinking. Those things were dangerous.
Ahh, how’s semi-retired life treating you? I bet it must be nice working part time. Both my parents are retired and it’s a miracle if they know what day of the week it is! I had to tell my mom this morning that it was Monday and therefore I was swamped. She was like, “It’s Monday?” lol
denise S says
I’m sure many a kid got hurt on those pogo sticks! Ditto for trampolines . I understand your parents forgetting the days . I have to check the calendar frequently . Like most things in life it’s good and bad points about not working. I miss the excitement and friends at work but not the the stress.
Elena says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Vacuuming/mopping/picking up dog hair everywhere. And I have to agree with laundry. Always laundry!
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
I wish there were more computer science courses. Our school didn’t offer a coding class but one in my district did. Same with languages…one school offered Russian and German but ours didn’t.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
No, I can’t unfortunately.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Girly girl in some aspects but I have always been a tomboy!
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I have like 4-5 and regularly use two.
Karen- I totally made a trader joes run today and picked up that tea anthology (and lots of other things too) I can’t wait to try it! I also bought their body butter three pack and a big tube of hand cream. The body butter trio smells so good (keeping one for myself and giving two away as gifts). highly recommend!
Karen says
Hi Elena,
I was there yesterday and saw that Body Butter trio and was wondering about it. How’s the hand cream? You know I’m a sucker for a good hand cream!
Hope you like the tea anthology. 🙂
Elena says
I just tried the handcream! For $5 you get a really big tube! (I saw they had a cute trio set for sale too but I passed on that). It doesn’t really have much of a scent and it absorbed really quickly! Not bad for the price!
I can’t wait to try the tea anthology. The flavors sound all over the place! I may pick up a second one just to have as a backup. Another one of my tea favorites is the peppermint green tea they have out around the holidays. I stock up every year!
Erin says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Reading blogs! I’ve made so many great acquaintances from blogging, I’m not just reading the big blogs I used to read before I was a blogger too. I don’t mind, I love seeing other people takes on products, recipes, and general life.
I also agree with laundry, but I think that’s pretty universal!
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
I wish I’d studied physics more. I always thought I had more aptitude for life sciences/chemistry but it turns out I’m pretty boss at Physics.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
Nope! Unless you count my in home office. Since my current day gig is blogging my pets are always with me. When I was out in “Corporate America” my pup wasn’t old enough to go to work with me, even though my employers would allow it. He stayed home with Daddy who was finishing up his degree and had tons of free time!
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Hmm, somewhere in between. I like some girly stuff and have come to appreciate it more as I’ve gotten older. I have a very logical and practical side too though, so I can get frustrated with “girly” stuff easily and most of my friends are men or women who are similar.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I currently have 2 bag I use regularly. I have two that are older and torn up that I don’t use too. I don’t know why I haven’t tossed them! I really need an evening bag though. The two I rotate are satchels and bulky.

Psychology
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
No, I wish that I could.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
I act like a tom boy, but dress like a girly girl.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I own ~6 hand bags, but use about 2.
Karen says
Hi Sakura,
Hmm, now that I think about it, I always feel like I’m vacuuming too. The cat hair never ends!
Hope you had a great weekend. Did you do anything fun?
Sakura says
Yes, last weekend we took our dog to a nice college campus natural trail for a walk!
Shannon says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
checking Facebook – and it’s starting to get on my nerves! (step away from the computer, Shannon!)
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
Another language. I studied Spanish in my first year, and ASL in my second, but I wish I’d learned French, Italian, German…
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
The only pets I have at the moment are the dust bunnies under my bed, and those definitely don’t come to work with me! But sometime soon we’re planning to move to a pet-friendly apartment so we can get ourselves a kitty, and eventually I’d like to work from home – so there we go. 🙂 Someday, I’ll bring my future pet to work with me all the time!
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Mmm… I guess I tend toward the more girly side, these days. I miss climbing trees and scraping my hands and knees and participating with the world in a more physical way, though!
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
Hmm… I probably have about 5? And I have only one that I use regularly, which is a dark gray canvas tote/purse/thing that I got off Etsy. I’m all about utility and being able to throw my purse in the laundry, since I carry it EVERYWHERE and it gets a little gross after a while, lol!
Karen says
I can’t wait for you to get a cat so I can see all your kitty pictures on Facebook, LOL!
Is your Etsy canvas tote still available, by the way? It sounds great!
Shannon says
I can’t wait, either! It’s going to be SO exciting 🙂
And it looks like the bag is still on Etsy, at this shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ringopie
I got the charcoal gray one with the 2 different types of straps. It goes with everything – or, by wearing it with everything, I kind of just accept that I’m using it whether or not it goes, lol! I’ve had it and used it almost daily for about 18 months now. I broke one of the clips on the cross-body strap a few months in, but other than that it’s been quite sturdy.
Karen says
Your kitty song will finally come true, awww!
Thank you so much for the link to the bag. Not that I *need* another one, but I’m “just looking around” (allegedly) for diaper bag options, and this one looks like a contender. I want something easy to clean with lots of pockets that isn’t too pricey. Thank you!
Shannon says
If you’re looking for diaper bags, both my sister and dear friend (who are both hella stylish) have this bag, in French stripe: http://www.skiphop.com/diaper-bags/by-category/diaper-bags/duo-special-edition-diaper-bag
They both love it, and I think it looks so chic! Plus the material is like… Plasticy? So it’s really easy to clean, but it looks surprisingly nice and like canvas, even when you’re pretty close to it.
Lisa Foster says
Something I’m always doing – my nails.
Something I wished I’d studied – another language.
Pet to work – I work in a law library that is quiet, and have two very active dogs. They would not be welcome!
Girly girl. I don’t like to go out without makeup, even to work out!
I have about 10 purses, I usually carry one for a few months, get tired of it, and rarely use it again, I end up donating them.
Karen says
Hi Lisa,
That’s cool that you work in a law library! When I was in college sometimes I would go into the law library on campus because it was smaller and quieter. Good times, good times.
What kind of dogs do you have?
Lisa Foster says
It’s great working in a law library, definitely my dream job, even though I have to leave the pups at home. I have a german shepherd and a pit/bull lab mix, they stay home with “dad” while I’m at work.
Rachel R. says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? Dishes and laundry.
2. Something you wish you studied in school? Basic car mechanics.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? I work from home.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? Smart and girly girl.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? I’m not sure; maybe a dozen? Plus several evening bags, clutches, and wristlets. I have one or two handbags I use a lot, because I’m too lazy to move stuff from one bag to another every day.
Trude says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Dishes! But we love to cook, so I guess that’s the price we pay. 🙂
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
I wish I’d taken a basic accounting class, would’ve come in super handy!
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
When I had my pup, my job was nice enough to let me bring him on Fridays.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
I think I’m right in the middle. I love my hair and makeup stuff, but then I often prefer to hang with the dudes and game it up.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I scaled way way back when I moved down to maybe 5? And two of those are vintage that I won’t get rid of. 🙂 I have my main everyday bag and a basic zip clutch for evenings out that I use regularly.
Kwmechelle says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? Dishes. No matter how much I try to get away from doing the dishes & “let” someone else take over, or even ignore the dirty kitchen, I always find myself washing dishes. And I loathe washing dishes. I have to use dishwashing gloves in order to make the task more bearable, but even that only does so much. Oh! And by washing dishes, I mean loading the dishwasher and/or hand washing other dishes. Neither are my fave.
2. Something you wish you studied in school? Fashion & art. I think they’d serve me well in makeup artistry. As a kid, I was good at art & drawing & I still have an artistic flair. But I’d understand better the concept of color & shadow/light & the color wheel if I’d gone to school for it.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? Nope, I no longer work & I have no pets but I wish I had a pet. Working on that. I want a Yorkie. The kind that can fit in my purse. 🙂
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? Total girly girl. Was a bit of a Tom boy as a kid, for awhile, because I have two brothers. Those days are long behind me.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I have so many I can’t count. But recently my taste became, shall we say, more refined so I’m heavily into high-end designer bags like Ralph Lauren, Donney & Burke (?), Kate Spade & such. So I only really keep a few in rotation.
Stephanie Smith says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? Same, laundry. And dishes! Every day! I’ve actually thought about being nudists to cut down on it! Lol!
2. Something you wish you studied in school? I wish I had studied psychology, it would come in handy as an adult I think!
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? I’m a stay at home mom, kids are in school, so I’m home with the two cats, one pug, two turtles, one snake, and myriad of fish. It’s a zoo!
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? A tom boy with verrrrry girly tendencies.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? I’m pretty minimal with handbags, I currently only have and use one! A yellow Fossil satchel. I pared down!
Holly says
Happy Monday! It’s been pouring up here in the Seattle area (surprise!) & I spent the morning doing laundry & settling in for a stint of house-sitting for some acquaintances. Right now, I’m enjoying reruns of NCIS before I go to my brother’s for dinner & a movie.
OK, here are my answers:
1. Grocery shopping! I cook separate dinners for my housemates & do the majority of the shopping for them & I also cook meals for myself but as I have limited fridge space, I’m at the store a minimum of 4 times a week. Luckily I actually enjoy it!
2. I wished I had taken advanced classes in English & biology, simply because I love to read & write & I’m fascinated by natural history.
3. No pets right now, unfortunately.
4. I think I’m about a 50/50 split; I love makeup & handbags & being a girl but I live in my Levis & Converse & I am not sentimental in the least. In fact, I had a falling out with some so-called girlfriends because I wouldn’t participate in their gossip & drama.
5. I have probably have a good two dozen handbags; most are in storage right now. I have a fondness for vintage bags from the 1940s through the 1960s. For daily use, I have a crossbody genuine leather bag from Lucky. It’s big enough to hold all my essentials as well as my current book & my journal.
Keep dry & comfortable; I’ll be catching up on your posts as soon as I can…
Monica says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? Paying bills!
2. Something you wish you studied in school? I wish I studied how to write better and how to be a good public speaker. I have awful stage fright.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? I don’t have a pet.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? Tom boy until about 2 years ago when I learned all about makeup, skincare, perfume, and all things beauty-related.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? When I was in my 20’s I used to have about 40 handbags. I had a lot of loud, colorful ones and I always bought one when on a trip because I liked unique “statement” bags. I was the quantity over quality type of bag shopper. Now I’ve trimmed it down to about 15 but I really only use 3 of them. I’ve apparently matured, or maybe I’m just in a job where I have to look professional.
Chelsea says
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? Going to the bathroom! I drink so much water.
2. Something you wish you studied in school? Everything. I wish I could study everything! (As I’m working on my second master’s degree) I wish I had done more with the sciences, and learned more languages.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? No, I’m pretty sure Quincy would not be helpful. He’s my desktop wallpaper though!
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? I’m definitely more girly, but even though I liked to wear a lot of dresses as a little one, I was always running around and getting dirty too.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? I’ve been using the same Carlos Santana cross-body purse almost exclusively for nearly 3 years, because I was being really picky in looking for a replacement. The Carlos bag has been laid to rest, I finally found a bag I liked. I probably have about 5 other purses too, but I mostly wear the cross-body ones because it’s more convenient, and I have a tendency to leave purses behind at places if it’s not attached to my person, LOL
Amoure Jones says
Happy Monday Karen,
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
There are a number of things I feel like I’m always doing: using the restroom (I take lasix due to a medical condition), and laundry (it’s never ending and I am doing it almost everyday).
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
Although I feel like it’s never too late to learn something I do wish I’d studied something like art/painting or even continued playing an instrument (I played the flute in grade school).
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
No pets.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
I am and have always been a very girly girl.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I own approx. 20 handbags (including clutches) but I feel like I just switch off with about 4/5 different ones every now and again. Many of the were impulse buys and a few were gifts. It also depends on what I’m wearing because a few of them I purchased to match particular outfits.
I’m a bag whore lol.

1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? Recycling!
2. Something you wish you studied in school? Physics
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? I brought my co-workers cat to work. I was returning her after “cat-sitting” for a couple of weeks.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? Girly-girl
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? Too many to count. I usually use the same one for weeks/months at a time.

1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Washing dishes. I think dirty mugs, plates and forks reproduce at night. I keep washing yet the pile keeps growing… I’d trade my soul for a dishwasher if I could! Unfortunately we’re renting and there’s absolutely no space in our small kitchen to add a dishwasher.
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
Biology.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
Well I don’t have a job right now but no, I never have and wouldn’t. Mostly because Ernesto has severe motion sickness so he throws up after 2 minutes if he has to ride in a car. And he’s more comfortable in his own territory anyway.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Somewhere in between? I’m not sporty/athletic or attracted to, say, mechanics, but I’m also not a fan of everything pink and cheesy.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I have about… 9? And I only use one really regularly. I need to rotate more!

1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? I’m always driving my son somewhere–to practice or to a game or a band rehearsal or a birthday party or picking him up from the library. The middle school drive around is Endless. But I was thinking tonight, on my way to pick him up from basketball practice, that these days are limited. So I’m trying to enjoy them.
2. Something you wish you studied in school? I wish I’d taken a basic graphic design course although I had absolutely no interest in it 25 years ago.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? No but once in a while I work at home and then I have Paco Rabanne and his brother, the Blue one. Neither of them likes to be ignored. It never really works out well.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? Girly girl for sure. Always have been.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? I’ve kon-maried myself down to six bags and frankly, I really only use one.

Wow that persimmon is gorgeous! I love persimmons. I see a lot of trees with Hachiyas (the long, pointed version) around here, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tree with Fuyus nearby. I hope it was sweet and delicious.
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Laundry. Also hand pots and pans that can’t go in the dishwasher.
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
Business or investing.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
No, I don’t think kitty Nora would enjoy the barn very much. She does hang out when I’m at home. Last night she crawled under my arm and settled down on my lap. Which was nice, but made it hard to see my laptop screen.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
Definitely a tom boy. I was the youngest and the only girl growing up. I learned how to keep up and deal with the gentle abuse my brothers and cousins doled out.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
Uh…. lol. Haven’t counted, but somewhere between 15 and 20. I have a weakness for cute clutches and bags in interesting colors. Can’t carry a black bag in the summer. I rotate through 4 or 5 each season.

Laundry yes, I never stop doing. I am pretty satisfied with what I have studied so I don’t wish for anything different. I am more of a girly girl. I have 7-8 handbags right now.

I’m a bit late to the party but here we go!
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Clearing up in the kitchen and doing the dishes.
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
Material science engineering instead of vehicle engineering, or at least some material science courses.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
No, I don’t have a pet at the moment.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
A bit of both I think. I feel mote like a tom boy but it’s not really reflected in the way I look so most people would probably say girly girl.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
I have 3 and I use 2. I’m on a student budget but I hate fake leather. Quality before quantity!

I feel like at least once per year you’ll post a pic of (or story about) a persimmon and I always say that I’ve never had one. I think it’s about time I do! 🙂
1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing? I’m going with the general “housework”. I second your laundry and add vacuuming, dishes and sweeping the kitchen floor to the list. I wish I enjoyed doing any of those things but, sadly, don’t.
2. Something you wish you studied in school? Marketing or really any type of business. I had a couple of classes but never got into it. It would have come in handy in the real world (more handy than all that English lit – HAHA!).
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work? No and I’m kind of grateful because I can’t get anything done at home without being covered by kitties. 🙂
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy? Total tom boy.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use? You made me laugh out loud with um, 15? HAHA! I have 2 but really only use one. A simple black Coach one.

1. What’s one thing you feel like you’re *always* doing?
Vacuum the floors. I do it in the mornings after Little Bean and Mr. Loca are done with breakfast and in the evenings when they have finished eating again. I just cant stand walking around when bread crumbs are everywhere, and they seem to produce a gazillion of them!
2. Something you wish you studied in school?
Creative writing. I had a few lessons, but after that it was no longer offered.
3. Do you ever bring your pet to work?
No.
4. Are you more or a girly girl or a tom boy?
I look like a girly girl, but I guess I am more of a tom boy at heart.
5. How many handbags do you have, and of those, how many do you regularly use?
One. But I mostly use the diaper bag. It fits my laptop.
