You might be wondering, “So what the heck is this Monday Poll thing anyway?”
Well, it isn’t much of a poll. It’s more just a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past four years. I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
- Mood:
Fully caffeinated, captain. All ahead, on my mark… Mark!! - Mystery or romance?
Mmm… How about a mysterious romance? 🙂 - The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out?
I’m in…not that I’m a fanatic for the films (I like the books more), but I feel like I’m already kind of invested in the whole thing, ya know? — like The Jersey Shore. I’ve gone this far. Might as well follow it to completion. - Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest?
Let’s see… No, I have not. I have actually entered a few, though. Really. But I always falter in the early rounds. I have pretty good balance, but I’m not very stretchy/flexible at all. - What time did you go to bed last night?
Around 10:30, I think it was, but I didn’t fall asleep until 11:30 or so. It took me that long to unwind after last night’s The Walking Dead. - When was the last time you felt really and truly alone?
I can actually pinpoint the day and time. It was 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012. - When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?
A few minutes ago. Tabs was sitting on my lap, purring and looking up at me with his half-open, lovey-dovey eyes. Honestly…I dunno what I’m gonna do when this cat crosses the Rainbow Bridge. As a crazy cat lady, this is probably gonna sound — well, you know how it sounds — but a pet’s love is so powerfully simple and pure. It’s life-changing. - Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year?
Even I’m sick of hearing myself say it, but I gotta finish getting my dining room in order, and I need some better, bigger storage in my office. Seriously, it’s a disaster. It’s like a thick forest, except instead of trees, it’s filled with tall photography lights and tripods, and instead of bushes and shrubs, the ground is covered by boxes and makeup packaging.Whether I actually accomplish those things remains to be seen, LOL!
- How long are your nails?
They’re short. I like to keep ’em that way, just a shade longer than my fingertips, but sometimes I’ll forget to file for a while, and they’ll grow out.Oh, but back when I was a teenager, I had long eagle talons!
I have no idea how I got through the day with those things…
- Weekly goals:
I’m going to try to get up with El Hub every morning at 6 this week (I usually get up around 6:30) so that I can squeeze in my workouts a little earlier. That, and I just want to believe in myself and have a good week.
G’morning, glory! Biiiig stretch. 🙂 Come on, let’s shake those sleepy thoughts.
I had such a nice weekend. Random (free Kelly Clarkson concert, anyone?), but a lot of fun. It was way too short, though. Sometimes El Hub gets three days off from work, and then we get to spend a little more time together.
Oh, I wanted to tell you about a book my friend Heidi told me about last weekend called The I Love Trader Joe’s Vegetarian Cookbook.
Seriously, that’s what it’s called. It’s $10 right now on amazon.com.
Hello! — that’s like my dream cookbook. I think I should order it.
Okay, quick kitchen beverage run. You fill out this week’s Monday Poll, and I’ll be back in two shakes of a husky tabby’s tail.
To complete the Monday Poll, just copy the following list, and paste it with your answers in the comments.

Hi Larie,
That’s cool that you rock climb. How long have you been doing it? Do you go to a gym, or go out into the wild?!
Larie says
Mostly indoors! It’s too wet here for outdoor climbing most of the year 🙂

Marina says

10. Weekly goals: Write both drafts of both papers. Get through the week without a total breakdown.
Karen says
Hi Megan,
I’m sorry to hear about your separation. Sending you a virtual hug.
Nikki B. says
1. Mood: Sleepy. Still. Lol but not too bad – I’m alive so I’m good 🙂
2. Mystery or romance? Mystery all the way! If there’s a little romance thrown in it’s okay but as long as it doesn’t stray from the investigation.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out? ::sigh:: In. I prefer the books as you do, but my co-worker is obsessed with the movies & I promised her after part 1 of Breaking Dawn I would see part 2. I’m a Harry Potter girl through & through. Though it was fun to see Cedric Diggory reborn as a vampire
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest? Yes and yes. When I was much younger. Like elementary/middle school young LOL! I was a dancer so yeah that came in handy.
5. What time did you go to bed last night? 3 something…or 4 actually. Stayed up talking & watching the FoodNetwork

Karen says
Hi Nikki,
I could spend all day on Food Network. ALL DAY! What are your favorite shows?
Nikki B. says
LOL! I love that station & HGTV. Favorite shows are Chopped, Cupcake Wars, Iron Chef America, The Next Iron Chef, anything Bobby Flay, Pioneer Woman & Trisha Yearwood’s “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen”. What about you?
Karen says
Random — I kind of love that Bobby Flay is married to Stephanie March from Law & Order: SVU.
Anywho, my fave show is Giada’s. She’s a little cheesy, but I like that about her. Do you actually cook anything after you watch the shows? I never do, LOL! I mostly watch them for the random tips the chefs throw in along the way, and because it lets my mind totally zone out.
Nikki B. says
LOL no I’ve never made anything they did on the shows though I always want to. My family isn’t very open-minded past chicken & fish (snapper specifically) so all the dishes I would love to do they won’t eat so I don’t bother unless it’s something I can sneak past them. I’m a big fan of baking though. I make cookies and cupcakes. My biggest hits so far are my cheesecakes & banana bread. I love Good Eats with Alton Brown as a way to learn new things – he’s the Bill Nye Science Guy of the Food Network
Karen says
Oh yah, I like Alton Brown, too. He has a nice way about him — kinda nerdy, but cool, you know?
Remind me to give you my peach cobbler recipe. I’m not a skilled baker, but I have to say that it’s good enough to bring tears to your eyes, LOL! 😀

2. Mystery or romance? Oooh. Mystery. Besides, there’s usually an element of romance to mystery.

4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest? Ha, no. I think I’m too 6′ and gangly. I have no balance and a bad back, so limbo just isn’t my thing. Hula hooping, though…
5. What time did you go to bed last night? 10:30ish? But then we stayed up watching youtube videos in bed for about an hour. Oops.
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone? There was a night in my last semester of college where I had a complete break down because I was feeling incredibly lonely. I think it was in November.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved? Today. Between a snuggly cat this morning (it’s like she knew I was about to get up and do yoga!) and an all-around awesome guy, I feel it a lot nowadays.
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year? Finally reach my goal weight! UGH! I do NOT like this rollercoaster I’m on.

10. Weekly goals: Join the gym and buy less coffee while at work.
Karen says
Hi Christine,
Ahh, I know all too well that feeling of coffee + inhaler.
And woo hoo for getting close to your goal weight. You can do it!
Nina says

9. How long are your nails? VERY short.
10. Weekly goals: Claw my way out of this mire of paperwork I am underneath at. 😀
Karen says
Hi Nina,

Tennyoceres says
1. Mood
I WERQ it. I got my power outfit on and I am multitasking like no-one’s business
2. Mystery or romance?
Mystery. It’s fun to pique my fiance’s curiousity.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out?
My friends know I am in a hate relationship with Twilight. That’s a no. I’ll be the one getting drunk and yelling at the movie screen then getting kicked out if they managed to take me.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest?
Never participated. I really should. My yoga instructor always compliments me on being flexible.
5. What time did you go to bed last night?
11PM. I had a lot of naps during the weekend.
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone?
Last Friday. I had a shitty situation at work and I couldn’t vent to my manager. Crying at work is not classy =[
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?
When my fiance proposed to me. So sappy XD
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year?
I need to get my Japanese calligraphy back in form again! Makeup and nail polish is a fun creative outlet but sometimes I just need another option.
9. How long are your nails?
About 1/4″ from my fingertips. Any longer than that and my nails chip and break very badly.
10. Weekly goals:
+Get my wedding dress! Final fitting is tomorrow and if it fits I get to take it home! =D
+Write down full names for my wedding guest list to send to my coordinator.
+Make my veil. I have the materials and tools but I need to determine what style best fits my dress.
+Bedazzle my wedding shoes. I have adorable wedges to wear on my wedding day but they needed some pop. I’m waiting for all of my rhinestones to ship in this week for a weekend of dazzling shoe makeover.
Karen says
How exciting, Tennyoceres! When is the big day?
Tennyoceres says
12/21/2012. Yes, my fiance and I intentionally chose that date. If the world is going to end at least we’ll be together (or something cheesy romantic doomsday like that).
Tennyoceres says
12/21/2012. Yes we intentionally planned that date. We’ll be together at the end of the world. (So sappy and Tim Burton dark humor hahahaha)
Karen says
Dude, that’s super cool. And very, very soon! Is everything set? Can’t wait to hear about your bedazzled shoes!
Kim says
1. Mood: Not bad! Still a little cranky from yesterday’s hockey, but pretty good, overall.
2. Mystery or romance? Definitely mystery!
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out? I’m not invited. I wasn’t good company for the first one and am reaping the rewards of that. 🙂
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest? No! There was always some freakish pretzel person who beat me. Or at least that’s how I remember it. HAHA!
5. What time did you go to bed last night? Very long, cold and stressful day. I was literally in bed before 7 PM.
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone? You ask some tough questions in these polls! I am grateful for the fact that I can’t remember ever feeling that way.

8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year? I never get tired of your dining room stories! I can’t wait to see the finished product! If I had a list of things I’d like to accomplish by the end of the year, I might actually accomplish some of them. In short, I have a ton of stuff that needs to be done but I can’t imagine much of it will be done.
9. How long are your nails? About 1/8″ longer than my fingers. Like you, they used to be long when I was young. I remember the sound of them scraping across the basketball every time I shot in school. Ftttp.
10. Weekly goals: Oh, I know! Clean one room every night so I don’t have to spend all weekend doing it.
Karen says
Girl, how did you play basketball with long nails without breaking them?! That’s miraculous stuff.
Kim says
HAHA! I’ve broken my fair share of nails and fingers playing b’ball. And that was *before* my body started falling apart! 🙂
Ruchita says
Le List
1. Mood:
A bit wired. I tried some Splenda in my tea this morning and it’s making feel kinda funky.
2. Mystery or romance?
Mystery! I used to love the Nancy Drew books when I was a kid.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out?
I’ve bought tickets already, so I’m in. 🙂 My sister-in-law and I are going on a girly movie and dinner date on the 16th!
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest?
Nope! As I’m getting older it would definitely be more difficult.
5. What time did you go to bed last night?

6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone?
Probably a few months ago. This at work and in life were stressful.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?
A few weeks ago, when my sister-in-law, her husband and my brother-in-law were at our house. That’s my close group of friends and it was great to hang out and be around good people.
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year?
Maybe try making homemade marshmallows. I’d like to gift them along with hot chocolate mix for Christmas.
9. How long are your nails?
Short-ish. Just beyond the edges of my fingertips. I hate having my nails super short. It makes my fingers feel bald!
10. Weekly goals:
Try to get back to exercising. My back is feeling better, so no excuses now!
Have a great Monday!
P.S. Pets are amazing. I never thought I’d have pets, but I’m so thankful for the unexpected blessings my 3 kitties have brought to my life.
P.P.S. In other kitty news, the stray kitty we found (Oscar) is in a permanent home. Originally, my sister-in-law didn’t think she could keep him b/c of their dog, but things have calmed down. They have a pet gate to give Oscar some freedom around the house while keeping him separate from the dog. He’s another random kitty that crossed my path and has been such a blessing. I’m so glad we were able to rescue him and take care of him until he found his forever home. 🙂
Karen says
Hi Ruchita,
So glad to hear your back is better and that Oscar found his forever home! That’s wonderful! I’m so happy for him. 🙂
Chelsea says
1. Mood: Procrastinating! Homework due in 4 hours that I haven’t started…
2. Mystery or romance? Both is good!
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out? I’m pretty sure I’m going with my fiance – we’re not really fans, but we’ve read and seen them all so far – we’re invested in the series. I was invited to a party for the last movie, which sounds REALLY lame, although I hear last year there was a pregnant Bella cake where you ate the baby out of the belly, and that’s pretty interesting.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest? I got really far in one in high school! I have long legs though, so it’s a little hard!
5. What time did you go to bed last night? past 1AM :p
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone? I was in a big fight with my fiance while I was in France.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved? I was just snuggling with Jiji half an hour ago, and that felt good.
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year? Plan scholarship money for European travels in the summer (advertising research conference, and the Cannes Lions festival of creativity [an advertising festival]). Also, try to figure out if I want to do work or PhD when I finish my Master’s next December.
9. How long are your nails? They’re just barely past my fingertips right now, because one broke, and I hate having nails that aren’t all the same length. Usually they’re a bit further past my fingertips, because my nails grow really fast.
10. Weekly goals: Plan my executive briefing for my management class, figure out transportation and exam-makeup-plans so that I can go to an event with the French American Chamber of Commerce next Thursday, do some workouts, and eat vegetables every day.
Karen says
Chelsea! How did the Chanel interview go?
Chelsea says
Second interview tomorrow! The main issue is whether or not it will work with my schedule. It might end up being more a of a freelance type thing where I’d work different counters, or I might have to turn it down.
Karen says
Good luck! I hope it works out for you, even if it ends up being more of a freelance gig. It would be a great opportunity to learn more about makeup, for sure.
Chelsea says
Thank you, lady!
Natasha says

7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?
Last wednesday, before our company arrived…

I’ve already given up the goal of organizing my workspace…between visitors using the guest cot in there and my 3 weeks away in December, nothing’s happening in that room until January…
9. How long are your nails?
Short. Longer than usual; they’re now about 1/8 inch long… I do too much with my hands to have long nails. Tried having nails about 1/4 inch long over the summer and they just got in the way.
10. Weekly goals:
Write a blog post every day for the month of November. Exercise for 1/2 hour every morning. Keep the house from returning to its usual entropy now that the visitor is gone…so that I don’t have to work so hard when our next visitor arrives next week.
Karen says
Hi Natasha,
Wow, lucky you to have so many visitors. Is it usually like that for you, or is it because of the holidays?

10. Weekly goals:

Karen says

Heidi says
Gurl, there is no maybe about it. That cookbook is amazing! I made the mushroom pate for a potluck I went to yesterday and the reaction was hilarious! It was like passing out catnip to a bunch of cats!
1. Mood:
So tired. I never fails to mess me up when the time changes, no matter which direction.
2. Mystery or romance?
I’m a sucker for a great romance, but I love a good mystery as long as there’s no blood, guts, and gore in it.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out?
I’ve managed to avoid it so far, so why quit now. No thanks.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest?
No, but I think Missy would excel in this.
5. What time did you go to bed last night?
Total bout of insomnia, didn’t get to bed until after 3am.
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone?
That’s something I’m actually struggling with a lot right now. Facing the holiday season without my Mom for the first time is gonna be rough. I can feel it.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?
Yesterday when a family that I don’t even know that well but have met through church invited me to join them for Thanksgiving.

Try to get some sort of normal sleep pattern back, get my car smogged, and be kind to myself.
Karen says
Mmm, that mushroom pate sounds delish! WANT!!! Thank you for recommending the book. 🙂
angela says
1. Mood:
Sleepy. And terribly jetlagged.
2. Mystery or romance?
I’ve never been much of a mystery fan… I don’t do well with suspense. So predictable romance it is.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out?
Out. I watched the first one with my friends, but I didn’t think much of it and haven’t watched them since. I’m so glad the Hunger Games movie didn’t end up like Twilight and actually did the books justice.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest?
Like officially? No. I’m sure I’ve been in lots of limbo contests as a kid at parties… but I don’t think I’ve ever won. I remember I used to actually practice doing limbo by hanging a jumprope between the doorknob and my wardrobe.
5. What time did you go to bed last night?
Nine. Like I said, I’m jetlagged. Usually I’ll go to bed at 2.
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone?

7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?
I don’t think I can pinpoint an exact moment but I know I feel it. 🙂

9. How long are your nails?
Short. Just cut them yesterday… they were starting to dig into my palms when I made a fist.
10. Weekly goals:
Getting through an overwhelming amount of homework/papers/deadlines. Minimizing procrastination.
Karen says
Hi Angela,
Eek! Being jetlagged is never fun. Where was your trip?
Kristen says
1. Mood: Excited! I’m currently studying abroad in Italy and I just booked a weekend trip to Munich’s Christmas Markets!
2. Mystery or romance?: ROMANCE
3. The girls wanna go to the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out?: Out!
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest?: No, which is funny cause I’m wicked short
5. What time did you go to bed last night?: 11 pm, Italy time!
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone?: Probably last week. For a moment, when I was in Paris last week, I realized how far away from home I am. It’s a startling thought. This sounds kind of pretentious, doesn’t it?
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?: The last time I spoke with my parents and grandparents
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year?: A lot. Take off the few pounds I’ve put on from all this Italian pasta?
9. How long are your nails?: No idea, but short
10. Weekly goals: Organize my dresser, write a paper for class, actually remember to DO my work…
Karen says
That’s wonderful, Kristen! Whereabouts in Italy are you?
Linnea says
Le List
1. Mood: Interesting — I’m in a bit of a snippy mood today, and my boss keeps pointing it out, which doesn’t help, but at the same time, not quite sure why I’m in a snit.
2. Mystery or romance? Romance. I admit, I consider myself a healthy, enlightened, smart, funny and educated woman.. and I love me some romance.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out? Eeee.. it would have to really line up with my schedule. I watched the first 2 movies, and then I just couldn’t do it anymore. I don’t support the books on a whole.. I believe there is better books to read out there, even in the genre.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest? I might have, but if I was doing the limbo, I was probably a bit.. tipsy. I am not flexible at all (can’t touch my feet with my hands at all..)
5. What time did you go to bed last night? 10 pm. I was trying to withstand it around 9:30 but then fell asleep on the couch and dragged my ass to bed at 10. I blame it on the time change 😀
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone? Its been quite awhile, but I would guess a few months ago. I have those days where it gets a bit ugly, but it just makes me appreciate the good days even more!
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved? I feel loved everyday, but last weekend the boy went all out (which is a change for him!) and got me flowers and we had a beautiful date night, which was a nice change from the day to day stuff.
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year? Buy a freezer! Gah, we’ve been looking for months now, and we just can’t bite the bullet and buy it.. Also, paint our master (doubtful that will happen), and just generally get more organized in the house. Also, (doubtful), get a bit in shape before Christmas, so I can guilt-free gain the Christmas 5!
9. How long are your nails? medium long? My right hand is always shorter than my left, but they could use a cut tonight.
10. Weekly goals: Work out 3-4 times this week! Also, eat more things from the fridge than the pantry, and generally enjoy the week!
Karen says
Hi Linnea,
What color are you thinking about painting your master bedroom?
Suri says
1. Mood: Tired. It was a longggggg last week with Hurricane Sandy and all her destruction. Thankfully we were okay but we did have some family members who were displaced and we were trying to help them out.
2. Mystery or romance? I love a good mystery. I think I was a detective in another life.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out? Sure. I read the books no shame in my game. It’s cheesy but I enjoy them.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest? No. I’ve never entered an actual contest but I always limbo at parties. 🙂
5. What time did you go to bed last night? 12am. But I tossed and turned all night and then woke up at 5:30am for work. I iz tired!
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone? At work I felt very alone when I started my new position and it was difficult to do my job with people that didn’t necessarily agree with what I had to do.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved? Just now when I came home from work and hubby gave me a big beat hug. So needed it!
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year? Nothing in particular. Most of my goals are on their way but I definitely won’t see success til the middle of next year.
9. How long are your nails? maybe half an inch from my tips. I like them kind of long. And I take biotin which always makes them grow.
10. Weekly goals: Finish all the reading and my huge project for class which is due this Sat, work out 2xs and enjoy time with family. Sandy definitely made us realize what is important in our lives and I certainly want to make sure I put priority on what matters most to me.
Karen says
Hi Suri,
I’m glad to hear that you and your family are okay. Big hugs to you!
Katherine G says
1. Mood:
~Refreshed. Finally able to do tough workouts again after fighting a cold. Got to go to Dulles Air and Space Museum over the weekend and saw the SR71 Blackbird, and also got to go to Bull Run Battlefield. I love history!
2. Mystery or romance?
~A little bit of both. I don’t like sappy romance novels, but I like a little bit of romance and a good twist in the plot.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out?
~Probably out. I don’t go to the theater much anymore, I usually catch movies on DVD.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest?
~Placed, I have always been fairly flexible.
5. What time did you go to bed last night?
~Around 9:30pm I think.
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone?
~It was a while ago…probably last year. I’ve felt vulnerable at times, but not alone in a long while. I finally have a good support system and a better sense of self, and each year my sense of self and motivation gets better and better. I felt most alone when my life didn’t seem to have any direction a few years ago.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?
~This morning when the hubby kissed me before leaving for work.
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year?
~I would like to accomplish the handstand and more flexible poses in yoga again (I could do them a few years ago), and I would like to start unpacking some of my stuff.
9. How long are your nails?
~Very very short. I am a nail biter, especially when I’m nervous, so I’ve only had them long on a few occasions. Benefits to having them so short is that I never have to experience the pain of breaking one again.
10. Weekly goals
~Keeping working on yoga, strength, endurance and core all this week.
~Vote.
~Start looking over study guides for written tests.
Karen says
Hi Katherine!
Glad to hear you’re feeling better. 🙂
When do you take your written tests?
Katherine G says
In 2 weeks, so I have some time. If you like history, there is a ton in Maryland and Virginia, especially on the Civil War.
Rachael says
1. Mood: Zapped, my genetics test was lllloooonnnngggg.
2. Mystery or romance? Romance
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out? Out. That is my idea of punishment.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest? Nope. Hula Hoop I have though.
5. What time did you go to bed last night? 10:20
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone? Two Superbowls ago.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved? Last night.
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year? Finish my Grolar Bear paper.
9. How long are your nails? Just above my finger tips.
10. Weekly goals: Try a new restaurant and enjoy Beauty and the Beast at Playhouse Square!
Karen says
Hi Rachael,
Have fun at the show. 🙂 What type of new restaurant are you thinking about trying?
Jenna says
1. Mood: So-so. I am glad because I have very little homework to do today, and Thursday is the end of the quarter, so no school Friday! But this upcoming weekend is going to be insane as I am in the Minnesota Valley Sweet Adelines and our annual performance is on Saturday. So much to do before then!
2. Mystery or romance? Mystery, without a doubt. If there’s romance in it, then ok.
3. The girls wanna go the movies to see the last Twilight. You in or out? Out. I do not care for the whole Twilight thing, although I have tried. I do like the soundtracks, though.
4. Have you ever won (or placed in) a limbo contest? I do not remember having ever even been in a limbo contest, but I have a feeling that if it was something I tried to do, I would not make it very far, as I am not particularly flexible.
5. What time did you go to bed last night? Oddly for me, I think it was almost 10. The satisfaction of this accomplishment was short lived due to the fact that I woke up at 2:12 am and didn’t fall back to sleep until after 5:30! And then I got up late and then I was 10 minutes late to music practice at school this morning. Yikes!
6. When was the last time you felt really and truly alone? Well…probably the first day of school this year, when I walked into woodworking and realized that a) I knew no one and b) I had no clue what I was doing when we started the actual projects. But I feel better about it now, and am glad that it’s almost half-way done.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved? Every time my bunnies look at me with their big brown eyes, my heart melts 🙂
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year? I would really like to do a lot of things. Ace the ACT, get my room totally clean and organized, start violin lessons, start a regular exercise routine. I think I will be lucky to just get one or two of these things done!
9. How long are your nails? My nails are short. If they got any longer, I would not be able to get my contacts out, and that would be a problem. They also bother me when I am texting (not that I do that abnormally a lot; I am not addicted to my phone) if they get too long.
10. Weekly goals: Go to bed and get up at the same time every day, workout at least once, finish my library books, and finish my story for APLC before Thursday.
Karen says
Hi Jenna,
Good luck at the performance on Saturday! Sing your little heart out. What part do you sing, btw? (I’m an alto.)

One weeks ago. I went to a Halloweenevening with friend. My friends all joined with their boyfriends which they could all cuddle with.. and I had no one! I’m single for too long right now.
7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved?
Saturday, while having a conversation with my mom.
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year?
Yes, I want to catch up with my schoolwork! I want everything that I have to catch up with accomplish before Christmas.
9. How long are your nails?
Like, medium length. I’m so glad with the length right now. My nails have been very week this year, so I’ve recently started to use a hardener and it works great!
10. Weekly goals:
Give in my project this evening, pass my test this wednesday and pass my oral exam this friday.. and start with all those things I have to catch up with before Christmas.

7. When was the last time you felt really and truly loved? All the time. I’m quite lucky.
8. Is there anything you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year? Write a novel, but it’s not going well! T_T
9. How long are your nails? Short. I broke one and had to file them all down. That’s cool, because I’ve been feeling like wearing dark colors lately, and black/near-black can be overwhelming when my nails are long.
10. Weekly goals: Vote! Everybody (in America) should vote! I don’t care who who vote for* but please get out there let your voice be heard.
