- You might be wondering, “So what the heck is this Monday Poll thing anyway?”
Well, it isn’t much of a poll. It’s more just a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past four years. I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
- Mood:
Overwhelmed! — and desperately trying to stay calm. I woke up on edge this morning because I didn’t get everything I wanted to get done last weekend.Geez…and now my heart’s racing after typing that sentence. I better do my deep-breathing exercises!
- Back to school! Where is (or was) your favorite place to study?
Back in high school, I did most of my studying in my room. It was quiet, comfy and free of distractions — no computer or phone, believe it or not (this was the early ’90s).Then in college, I usually alternated between the library and my room. Some late nights, though, I’d go to this quiet 24-hour study room on campus we called “the morgue.” I’ve always been easily distracted, so I need quiet places to study, depending on the subject.
On rare occasions, and only when the subject was math, for some reason, I’d do my homework at a cafe.
- Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe?
Still undecided. I saw a couple of pairs at Target last Friday that I thought could look cute on some people, but I don’t know if I’m one of ’em…We’ll see. I may change my mind at DSW later today. I’m thinking about making a pit stop there after work because shoes always calm me down…
- We’re more than halfway to 2013. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year?
Unsurprisingly, most of mine have to do with getting the condo in order. STILL, after more than three years here, I have an unfurnished dining room, so 1), I want to get some frickin’ furniture (YARGH!!), 2) organize my office, thereby making me less prone to fits of rage borne out of disorganization, and 3) get Tabs a new cat tower (one that isn’t falling apart at the seams). - When are at your most/least productive?
I feel at my best from about 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and my worst from about 4 p.m. onward. - If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be?
A Ragdoll! Fluffy, easy going and built for love? Sign me up. 🙂 - Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town?
This will probably sound terribly unoriginal, but Starbucks brews a mean cup ’round here.Which reminds me — their pumpkin lattes are the bomb dot com! I may have to get one of those today…
- Do you watch any late-night talk shows?
I used to, but not so much anymore. I went through a David Letterman phase in college because that’s what EVERYONE I knew watched, but now, truth be told, I’m usually in bed. Plus, I figure if something really funny or interesting transpires, I’ll hear about it the following day online. 🙂 - When was the last time you watched a sunset?
I think about a month ago. The windows on one side of our place face west, so I get a pretty good view of the sun falling below some hills off in the distance.I remember walking into the bedroom upstairs to do something, looking up at the windows and going, “Wow!” The sky was this amazing mix of pink and orange, and it was very comforting, so I just hung out there for a bit and watched.
- Weekly goals:
To start tracking my runs on my workout calendar again, to find a new book to read, and to chill-the-eff out, LOL!
Good morning, sweet friend, and happy Monday! How was your weekend?
Mine was relaxing, but that’s partly because I skipped some of my chores… On Saturday, I went to my nephew’s birthday party and visited my parents out in the East Bay. Then on Sunday I just chilled at home and watched, like, eight back-to-back episodes of My Cat from Hell.
I actually cried for the first time ever watching that show! It was the episode with the 23-year-old orange tabby cat named Pump. [Sniffs] Pump wasn’t good with boundaries in the house, and it was interfering with his owners’ home business, so they were contemplating taking him to a shelter. Please tell me I’m not the only person who bawls her eyes out while watching Animal Planet…
If you have a minute this morning, I’d love to hear from you in the Monday Poll.
- To complete the Monday Poll, just copy the following list, and paste it with your answers in the comments.

2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? My favorite place in college was the library! Hands down.
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe? Never worn or purchased them. They are cute, but I would get annoyed with something touching me everytime I walked.

Hi Nadege,
I like siamese cats too. They’re so sleek, and kinda diva-esque!
Good luck with your projects this week. Are you working on anything exciting/fun?
Monika says
Just finished reading ” Wild” from Cheryl Strayed. Such a good book! The kind u feel sad when it ends…..because whats next? What u gonna read now:)?
Karen says
Hi Monika,
Thanks for the book rec! I’ll put it on my list of things to check out.
I’m still not sure what to read next. I’m on this Young Adult dystopian fiction kick and am quite enjoying it so far! I do feel like I should probably try something new so that I don’t won’t get burnt out.
What are you thinking about reading next?
monika says
Thnx for answering:) I am more into non fiction so next is a book about Brooke Astor. Random, I know….but those Fifth Avenue queens have a lot to teach us imo. Even if it happened sooo last century:)…So my book tarvels take me from Pacific Crest Trail in the “Wild” to Fifth Avenue in NY with Mrs Astor…..reading is for sure the fastest and finest way to commute in time and space:)…and cheapest:)

coffee: my house, in a cup and saucer

goals: exercise four times, work hard, try to calm down and relax because this stress is no good for my complexion!
Karen says
Hi Alison,
Sounds like you’ve got a perfect study spot and partner. Cats are so helpful, LOL!
What paper are you working on?
Alison says
Meow! Glad tabs was cuddly with you today. Just working on my dissertation for my PhD. It’s a beast and I can’t wait to be done with it. Always glad to come to MBB for a break, though! Hope you have a great day and thanks for all the entertainment on your blog. Seriously, a make-up woman and a cat woman all in one?! Perfection. So glad I found MBB!
Tracy@Beauty Reflections says
1. Mood: Frustrated. Sometimes I feel like I’m going nowhere. Sigh. But no sense in dwelling on it right? Yeah that’s what I keep telling myself lol!
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? I studied in my room always. It wasn’t very well insulated because we lived in a really old house so I had to wear gloves in the winter if I sat around for long periods, especially if it was really cold out!
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe? I like them! But I was a kid in the 70s, so I remember them fondly. I had an awesome jacket with fringes back then!
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year? To run for an hour straight! Organize the house and get rid of clutter. There’s too much stuff around here!
5. When are at your most/least productive? Least-am. Not a morning person. Most-around 10pm. Night owl here!
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be? A Manx? My friend has one named Bob-he is so smart. I like him.
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town? I live in the Burbs, so I just go to Starbucks.
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows? Sometimes I’ll watch Craig Ferguson-he’s ridiculous! But I’m not big onto watching celebs get interviewed so I’ll switch off when they come on.
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset? Just this weekend! There was a really pretty one on Saturday night!
10. Weekly goals: exercise, eat more fruits and veggies, clean up, and smile.
Karen says
Hi Tracy,
Oh, I love your running goal. 🙂 How many minutes are your current runs? YOU CAN DO IT!
Linnea says
1. Mood: I’m better now. Had one of those mornings where you’re not really ready to work, not really all there, and then you beat yourself up because of it. I had my lunch and now I’m ready to tackle some stuff (after this poll o’course 😀 )
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? High school, to be honest, I didn’t study that much. When I did, it was either in my room or at school. University on the other hand was a LOT of studying.. which I did anywhere I could: school, library, room, house, anywhere! I always had my headphones on and my ipod on (which was a godsend in those early 2000’s).
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe? Negative. I’m the same as you Karen — they look good on other people, but they’re just not for me, and I haven’t found a pair that has changed my mind.
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year? Get the house (now in for 3 months) even more organized and make it “our own” even more (I’m hoping decorating for the holidays will be good!), get a freezer!, get furniture for the upstairs bonus room and decide what to do with the tiny room (I guess all house things then :))
5. When are at your most/least productive? Most productive: 10am-2pm, least productive 2-4pm.
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be? hmm. I have a soft spot for orange tabbies.. beautiful but also kind of silly looking.
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town? A place called Higher Ground coffee house.
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows? nope, I love my sleep.
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset? we get really good sunsets here — so probably last week?
10. Weekly goals: get back in the groove and get some stuff accomplished both at home and at work. Maybe workout.
Karen says
Hi Linnea,
My morning was the same way. I ran and played with Tabs for a bit and now I’m ready to get down to some business.
Question for you. What’s the biggest thing that helped you as you got your house decorating in order? I so want to make the condo my own, but I feel like it’s this overwhelming task that I can’t handle, you know?
Windie says
Start with one room. One inspirational piece to anchor the whole room or theme to revolve around it.
There’s also an app called houzz that can get ideas going.
Karen says
Thanks Windie!
There’s just so much to do and I’ve put it off for so long, I feel like I’m in this huge house decorated hole that I can’t climb out of. I wish I had more of a knack for it.
Windie says
Can be overwhelming, experienced it first hand. You’ll be fine once you start. So go for it!
Linnea says
Karen, I definitely agree with Windie.. You have to find something you love, and then everything else kind of falls into place.. we still have a few rooms we haven’t really decided on ‘what to do’, but we always throw ideas out there.
For decorating a dining room, Its got to be a table, a hutch or a painting that really ‘grabs’ you. it could even be a chandelier (sp?).. But you have to get out there, go shopping and distance you from any shoe stores. Even if you’re not buying, take pictures and then talk to El Hub about what he can see and can’t see.
Having an interior decorator in the family doesn’t hurt.. when we’re desperate, she’s good and giving us ideas.
Also, I’ve found Pinterest to be really helpful in garnering ideas online and having a database of everything that I’ve been gravitated towards in one place. Again, it helps with the discussion of what to do with the boy.
Leah @ Mile High Beauty Blog says
1. Mood:
Feelin’ Good! I’m starting a new chapter in life and feeling happy.
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study?
In grad school I got A LOT done at the Caribou Coffee across the street from my apartment. They had a fireplace and wifi before most places had wifi. I didn’t drink coffee back then (still don’t most of the time) but I loooooove me a white hot chocolate!
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe?
I think it totally depends on what you wear them with. I think you can get a way with boots with the fringe (said in my mind like “Boots with the fuuur, with the fuuur! The whole club was looking’ at heeeerrr…”) if everything else is simple.
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year?
I’d like to finally decide on a direction for my career. After an unsuccessful new job (I resigned after a little over a month. It just wasn’t a good fit.) I’m trying something new and hoping it will work.
I’d like to write more of the novel I started last year and am still working on.
I’d like to organize the various closets in my house that I’ve been ignoring since we moved in three years ago. It’s much easier to just shove everything in there and ignore it.
5. When are at your most/least productive?
It depends. I can get a lot of housework done in the morning but my brain doesn’t work del before 10:00 AM. I’m also pretty focused in the evening.
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be?
A Russian Blue (sorry Tabs!) or a sassy mixed breed. I grew up in Indiana so mixed breeds are my favorite!
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town?
There is this place in Denver called Highlands Cork & Coffee and it is the best combo of coffee, wine and yummy food. They have a fantastic outdoor patio that allows dogs so we take the pups up there eon walks.
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows?
I used to watch Letterman and Craig Kilbourne in college but I don’t stay up late enough anymore!
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset?
Last weekend we went up to the mountains and watched one from the deck. It was beautiful!
10. Weekly goals:
Make the most of opportunities that come my way and work hard! No more lazy days on the couch when there’s writing to do and gyms to go to.
Karen says
LOL, Leah! I always think of that same like “BOOTS WITH THE FUR” whenever I write “boots with fringe,” LOL!
Great minds think a like. 🙂
What did you guys do up in the mountains? Did you hike or camp?
Happy Monday!
Leah @ Mile High Beauty Blog says
Hey Karen. Indeed we do! We had a few friends up with us and we all went fly fishing and the gentlemen played golf while the ladies caught up on some reading. It was a great weekend!

Finish this project i’m on. Fingers are throbbing from all the typing.
Karen says
Hi Windie,
Good luck with your project. Is it writing-related?
Windie says
Yes. Not world shattering novels or glam as beauty product reviews but it comes a with a paycheck. THAT is exciting.
Be well.

Fieran says
1. Mood: Wired. Just been in back-to-back meetings and finally getting some rest time.
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? When I was in university, there was a library where the Business kids flocked to. It was a wonderful library that started out as a computer lab and then the floors upstairs were where the books and the quiet zone was. Just before the computer lab there were huge tables with power sockets and then, the best part was next to those tables: a real cafe where the barista made wonderful coffee. I sat at one of those huge tables, sometimes with friends, sometimes alone – and studied there. We liked the Business library because it was less stressful than our Engineering library. I’d do most of my stressful subjects at my room at the residential college, but for Math and just tutorial homework, I’d sit at that library table. It was the best time of the day, sitting here, people watching, listening to music and doing homework/studying.
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe? Never worn any and don’t plan to. I’d love a nice pair of smooth leather boots though. Currently crushing on this one: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/ilenia-p-biker-boot/3325738?origin=keywordsearch but I don’t know if I want to spend 200 dollars on a pair of boots 😉
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year? I’d like to go to Paris, be productive at work, acquire an amazing Autumn wardrobe, be more fit, and definitely be happy.
5. When are at your most/least productive? I’m most productive early mornings (before 10.30, that’s when I start to get hungry as I eat lunch at 11am at work) and after lunch (between 12 – 3pm). After 3.30itis, I’m useless 🙂
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be? I don’t know, I’ve never thought about it. I sometimes think I’d like to be a squirrel.
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town? Mocca Java on St Hanshaugen or Tim Wendelboe near Grunnerløka. Both in Oslo.
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows? No, not really. I haven’t had a TV in the past 8 years as I’ve lived alone that long and never felt like I needed one. I watch the news online and TV shows on DVDs, as well as movies in the cinema so it’s alright. Maybe at some point I might cave and get a TV.
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset? I can’t remember, it’s been awhile.
10. Weekly goals: Survive my business trip in Seattle; be really calm and collected while packing my luggage, land safely in Oslo and recover from jetlag as quickly as possible.
Marina says
1. Mood: tired, not that it’s a mood. going to bed now.

9. When was the last time you watched a sunset? hard to tell…

Natasha says
1. Mood: Agitated.
Got home to discover my car’s transmission is wonky (won’t get into gear) and I have to wait until tomorrow to get it fixed….
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study?
In high school, I always studied in my room. In college I had a practice room in one of the buildings on campus — it was so quiet there; I sometimes even slept there…
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe?
Not for me. There’s no way I can justify boots of any kind in SoCal; the weather is just too mild year round. But I like seeing other people in boots — and fringe is cute.
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year?
A real business/life plan. A more organized house. Visible abs.
5. When are at your most/least productive?
Most productive first thing in the morning, then I peter out around 1pm and pick up steam again by 4pm.
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be?
Siamese, if you don’t please…. I currently share my life with a full-figured half-siamese (tabby where the points are) and she’s wonderful. Our orangish girl is wonderful, too, but I prefer Java’s fashion sense.
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town?
Starbucks is the only place to get coffee in our tiny suburban “town”. Now if you want tacos or carnitas, there are tons of independent places for that…
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows?
No.
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset?
Last week over Wangujing street in Beijng — it was really lovely. Usually we have trees that block our view of the sunset so we only get to see one if we go somewhere special.
10. Weekly goals: crunches in addition to daily walking. Collate photos and get them up on blog. Make something. Not sure what, but I need to make something.
JaNelle says

5. When are at your most/least productive? Most productive is when I’m on deadline at the 11th hour.. I do my best work! Least .. when you give me too much time to complete a task. Times of the day I’m most productive 11am – 4pm; least after 4pm
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be? hmmm.. prob a Tabby
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town? my kitchen!! WOOT!

2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? During college, I used to switch between my apartment or the library. I also get distracted reaaallllyyy easily so, if I was working on anything science-related, I need complete silence!
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe?
I think they could be pretty cute with the right outfit! But I’d prefer a long, leg hugging sleek boot!
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year?
1) Clean and organize my room (after I graduated and moved out of my apartment, I’ve had to deal with 2 years worth of junk in my already messy room XD), 2) Kick butt on all the classes I’m taking at a nearby community college (a thing I’m doing on the side as I wait for that pharm school acceptance XD), 3) This kinda goes with number 1 but I’m trying to organize a little vanity area in my room. (I already ordered an adorable earring organizer off of Etsy!)
5. When are at your most/least productive?
Thanks to college and procrastinating tendencies, I’m actually extremely productive in the evening till about… midnight? I *can* be productive in the afternoon but I really have to force myself to buckle down XD
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be?
I’d like to be a calico cat! I just think they look so cute with their color scheme 🙂
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town?
Starbucks, without a doubt! Maybe I need to explore the “road less traveled” cafe but Starbucks makes an amazing hazelnut latte. I need a pumpkin spice latte once it starts to feel more like fall round my parts!
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows?
Not really. When it’s late-night, I usually search around YouTube for some short length funnies 🙂
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset?

Katherine G says
1. Mood:
~Tired, and still not feeling well. I caught some chest congestion bug going around the hospital, and I decided to keep doing my hard core workouts so now I’m paying for it. I am sorry you were feeling overwhelmed – I know what it’s like to feel that way when I don’t have time to get everything done that I’d like to!
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study?
~When I was younger, and when I got older, my childhood bedroom. It was quiet, comfortable, and had few distractions. When I hit college and got a laptop, my favorite way to write papers was to lay on my bed with my laptop on my belly and just type away.
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe?
~Not sure. They are cute, but it feels like a very Pocahontas type look and I feel like they would be hard to pull off on a regular outfit.
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year?
~Be completely moved in my fiance’s house and have my address changed and anything else I need to get done with that; have stuff organized in the house and have all of my stuff unpacked and put away;
5. When are at your most/least productive?
~I am least productive when I wake up at 4:30am for work until about 8am, an hour into my shift. It takes me a while to get used to being awake and ready for the day waking up that early. I am the most productive probably between 9 and 3 – I can get a lot done then and have the energy and concentration to do it.
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be?
~Not sure but probably a tabby, I love their coloring.
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town?
~Also Starbucks – their Salted Caramel Mochas (which can be made into a very tasty frappe as well) are to die for.
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows?
~No, sadly I go to bed around 10pm these days. I rarely stay up late anymore.
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset?
~This evening on my drive home from work up good old I-270.
10. Weekly goals:
~Work out and add some new stuff to my workouts now that I know what I have to work on for my next career.
~Clean the house (hoping I find time this week with all the hours I am working).
~Enjoy my days off.

1. Mood: Exhausted!
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? In my bedroom at my computer desk.
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe? Still not my thing, but some other people look good in it.
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year? I’d like to have my blog established and viewed regularly. I’d like to get back into crafting/drawing/painting regularly and hopefully have an Etsy going.
5. When are at your most/least productive? Early in the morning if I’ve had a good night’s sleep, and late at night. I have trouble falling asleep at night because there are so many things I want to do!
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be? I’m not even sure it matters – I do what I want, I’m extremely picky, and I like having my belly rubbed. I think that sums up felines pretty well. I have a calico, and while I know that’s not a breed she’s almost a carbon copy of me, only a little furrier.
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town? I live in a small down, so the only good place is Starbucks. Besides that, I like my kitchen. Nothing better than getting a cup of hot coffee in your pajamas.
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows? Nope! I don’t watch a whole lot of T.V. period.
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset? Almost every evening. My desk is next to a west-facing window. 🙂
10. Weekly goals: My goals were winter clothes shopping for a 2yr old and a 7yr old, and I already accomplished them. Four outfits each, socks and sweaters for less than $100, hooray!

Hi Kristen,
Good job on the bargain shopping!
That’s cool that you are thinking about starting an Etsy shop. I went through a phase where I was seriously addicted to that website, LOL! What types of arts/crafts are you thinking about featuring in your store?
Stef Smith says
1. Mood: Terrific! I love Mondays! The kids go to school, the hubby is at work, I have the day to myself! Yay, I loooooove them!
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? I did most of my studying on the school bus when I was in high school, because I had an hour long ride. It was perfect!
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe? When I was in the 6th grade, I had this pair of bomb ass blue boots with blue fringe up the side and studs on top. God I loved those boots! I still love those boots! I don’t know if I could rock them now, but when I was 11, I did!
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year? I’d like to be about 25 pounds thinner, I’d like to budget a little better so it’s not quite so tight at the end of the month, and I’d like to tame our pet Hermit Crabs, so that they’re not quite so creepy.
5. When are at your most/least productive? Most productive is between 8am and 2pm, least productive, after 8pm at night.
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be? American Shorthair, just a regular cat. That’s what we have, and she’s fantastic! I’d be black and white, the most common of cats, but also the most interesting to look at, at least in my humble opinion!
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town? I only started drinking coffee last year, so other than my own kitchen, Starbies. But I hate their hot coffee, I only like their Frappuccinos, but I like them A LOT! I limit myself to one a week, but I had two last week, so I can’t get one this week. My goal is to start visiting local coffee shops and seeing what’s available. I love the idea of finding a little place and sitting down with my husband or a book and having a cup of coffee.
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows? Ha! You have to be awake to watch them! I get up at six to get the kids ready for school, these days it’s a miracle if I’m up after 10pm!
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset? Almost every night! After dinner, we’ll go outside with the kids in the front yard and ride bikes or chase them or just sit and have a popsicle. There have been amazing sunsets, where the light is actually pink. I love it when it’s pink! I took a picture of my black and white cat, and she looks black and pink!
10. Weekly goals: Hit the gym in beast mode 4-5 times (one down!), start volunteering in my 1st graders classroom, watch the new “CSI” episode on Wednesday, put the laundry away, and give myself a manicure!

2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? I used to have a ” loft bedroom” with a tiny second floor only accessible with a ladder, when I lived with my mom. It was very quiet, dark, and I worked my way through college up there.

4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year? Get a job, go to Vegas, go to Hawaii!

My mom, our three kitties (two calico sisters, and a troublemaking kitten), and I love watching My Cat From Hell, but sometimes its hard to watch. Is that new episode with Pump too sad for me, or does it end ok? As long as it ends ok, i can endure.
Iliana says
1. Mood: Really good!

9. When was the last time you watched a sunset? Yesterday! Thankfully, i get to see the sunset every night from my balcony 🙂
10. Weekly goals: I just came back from a 2-month journey (both holidays and studies oriented) and all i want to do is catch up with friends & family and relax a bit before university starts again!
Alison says
1. Mood: Tired.
2. Where is (or was) your favorite place to study? I’m a bit of a romantic and like to study in places that help me relax, so somewhere quiet perhaps with a view, or a cafe with not too many people in it. Its not exactly easy to study in parks though I have tried it! Its hard to know where to put your books.
3. Again, how do you feel now about boots with fringe? I hate them. Ruffles, fringe and bows/detail make me feel claustrophobic. Clean and understated for me!
4. What are three things you’d like to accomplish by the end of this year? I’d like to recover from a long-term illness, or at least live through this period with all the grace and strength I can muster. I’d like to become less hard on myself.
5. When are at your most/least productive? I think I’ve always been a night owl, so in the evening-night time. I just feel better after the sun goes down, I have no idea why.
6. If you were a breed of cat, what breed would you be? Siamese. Dignified, AND a cuddle-whore!
7. Best place to get a cup of coffee in your town? I don’t drink coffee. There’s a place in my city that sells chocolates and fondue that does a genuine peppermint tea (with fresh leaves) that’s amazing.
8. Do you watch late-night talk shows? I’m not really a talk-show fan, but occasionally I’ll watch a bit of Conan or Graham Norton, if its on!
9. When was the last time you watched a sunset? Over a year ago, actually! I’m indoors a lot due to my condition.
10. Weekly goals: None. When you’re chronically ill you can’t set deadlines.
