I made raviolis with my friends Jen and Cindy last Saturday…
- You might be wondering, “So what the heck is this Monday Poll thing anyway?”
Well, it isn’t much of a poll. It’s more just a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past four years. I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
- Mood:
Relieved. I just tidied up my desk and feel functional again! When I’m surrounded by a chaotic mess, I feel like a chaotic mess, but when my space is nice and neat and clean, I’m so much happier and more productive. - How would you describe your current hairdo?
It falls to about an inch below the top of my shoulders with long layers, a side part, long side-swept bangs and ombre highlights. The base color is a chocolate brown, and the highlights are caramel (Mmm… caramel).I’m thinking about growing it out again…but we’ll see how I feel about that as it grows and starts to feel heavy later this summer.
I definitely do like having longer hair in winter, though. It’s like a natural head warmer.
- Are you a Bond girl/guy?
Depends on the Bond, but I gotta say, I lurves me some Daniel Craig. 🙂I watched Casino Royale again last week and remembered why he’s my favorite Bond (sorry, Sean!). He’s got those enchanting aquamarine eyes and that “hot thug in a tuxedo” thing going on…
- How often do you wear concealer?
Approximately every single day, LOL! Even on weekends. - Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?
Probably not. Actually, I’m pretty sure I’d suck at it. I’d be too worried about hurting someone’s feelings. - How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
I caught up on some reading (five back issues of Entertainment Weekly), and also watched Enemy of the State, with Will Smith and Gene Hackman. The DVR randomly recorded it, and I’d never seen it before. Not bad. - Something you’d like to learn?
How to drive a stick shift. It’s on my list of “Skills to Have During the Zombie Apocalypse.” - Do you have a signature makeup look?
Hmm… Well, I’m fickle and like to try different things, but I guess if I had to choose one, I’d go with bold eyes and nude lips. - What’s for lunch today?
Hopefully a Panera salad if I can sneak out to the mall. - Weekly goals:
First and foremost, smile as much as possible. 🙂 I also want to visit the Container Store and look for some simple shelving or cabinetry to organize my office. Oh, and step away from the computer by no later than 7 each night.
Hey, cutie pie! So glad to see you this morning. I hope you feel at least a little refreshed after the weekend. It always makes Mondays easier. If not…allow me to introduce you to my good friend caffeine!
Do you have a sec to say hi and fill out the Monday Poll?

5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge? Im not sure…
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? Reading and being lazy.
7. Something you’d like to learn? Id love to learn how to knit.

9. What’s for lunch today? Grilled chicken and pita bread – from home.
10. Weekly goals: Make it to Thursday — im taking Friday off for my eye appointment and because its the Hubs’ birthday weekend!!!

Im dragging him to Barnes & Noble because Ghost Story (Dresden files book) finally comes out in paperback this week!!!
Nina T says
Mood-a bit down. A friend is going thru a hard time and I’m down about it.
Bond – Daniel Craig all the way!
Hairstyle – pretty long – three inches below my shoulder. Usually curl it a bit. Found a great you tube video using a head band and twisting it under at night – woke up with rockin waves!
Concealer almost every day
Goals for the week – find some focus and find ways to improve my emotional energy level!
HAVE A GREAT WEEK KAREN!
Katherine G says
1. Mood:
~Tired, and a little sad. Worked night shift last night, only got 4 hours of sleep today, and saw a sad case at work. Also sad because the fiance is away in Canada on a fishing trip, and it was something I wanted to go to (and he really wants me there, too 🙁 )
2. How would you describe your current hairdo?
~About bra strap length with long layers and long bangs/face framing layers. It’s on the long side, I need to get it cut soon (my hair gets very heavy because it is so thick if I let trims/cuts go longer than 2 months and I’m at about the 2 month mark). It also needs to be re-dyed – it looks like I have highlights where my regrowth is and my color is slightly faded from the sun. I keep it the color of my hair in childhood – a chocolate cherry (Garnier Fructis color). My natural hair color is almost black and I’m not sure if I will get grays soon – my grandmother went gray at age 25, and I’m 24!
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy?
~I am also a fan of Daniel Craig! He was an excellent Bond. Pierce Brosnan and Sean Connery are who I grew up with (didn’t we all?) as Bond, but Daniel Craig did an amazing job too!
4. How often do you wear concealer?
~Not much actually, only to cover up zits. I use the Neutrogena one with MicroClear in it – it works pretty well and stays put most of the day.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?
~No, I think I’d be too nice, too.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
~vegging out before my night shift. I don’t like to have any plans on the day I work a night shift, or the night before I do a day shift.
7. Something you’d like to learn?
~I’d also like to learn how to drive a stick. My dad tried to teach my brother, and my brother kept stalling his truck so he didn’t want to teach me. I grew up with muscle cars, but the ones I helped work on or drive were either automatics or ratchet shifting automatics for racing.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look?
~Definitely something wild on the eyes – I love anything different than the standard “nude eyes and mascara look” that a lot of people I know like. Makeup is so much fun and there are so many different options out there to buy and have fun with!
9. What’s for lunch today?
~Not sure, not terribly hungry. Might go back to bed and wake up for dinner.
10. Weekly goals:
~Also to smile (good one Karen!) and remember my funny patient when I need a laugh.
~Shop for things around the house, just to organize and make it more of a home.
~Clean the house before the fiance gets back this weekend from Canada.
~Stay positive 🙂
Karen says
Hi Katherine,
Sorry to hear that you’re feeling a little blue. Sending you a Monday hug…
P.S. I think it’s super cool that you worked on cars growing up! I wish I knew more about them. I’m pretty sure some automotive knowledge would come in handy during the zombie apocalypse as well!
Katherine G says
Thanks for the hug 🙂 I get the feeling that if we lived a lot closer we would have fun learning new things. Automotive knowledge of any sort is great to know, even if it’s just who to call or what goes where. My mom had gotten stranded in a thunderstorm 2 years ago on her way to work in her car (the engine flooded majorly and locked up – it was totaled from the flooding from the storm), and my brother called the towing guy from the gas station where he worked and did oil changes/car maintenance for people. It was great because all the fire trucks and other tow companies were busy towing other cars in that storm!

Too long, too frizzy, and desperately in need of a cut and color.

I’m definitely a Pierce Brosnan girl, so, therefore yes!
4. How often do you wear concealer?
Anytime there’s a chance of being seen by human beings!
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?
Yes. I’m very opinionated, but I don’t have it in me to be cruel. I think that’s needed in the reality TV world — less cruelty.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
Lunch and shopping with my friend Mark. Then we hit up the local cupcake place (key lime cupcake, YUM!). After that I met up with another friend for an outdoor concert in one of our local parks. It was a Beatles cover band. Lots of fun.

Bold eye, subtle cheek, shiny lips.

You inspired me to share my poll on my own blog too! Thanks!
1. Mood:
Productive and happy. I felt pretty “off†last week in general and after running errands and cleaning up the house this weekend, I feel like I have a better start to this week.
2. How would you describe your current hairdo?
A work in progress. I have decided to grow it out (side swept bangs included because they never really swept with my lovely hairline being what it is) and get it back to my natural dark blonde color as much as possible.
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy?
Sure. I love a good mystery and a hunky lead actor. I prefer Daniel Craig as Bond.
4. How often do you wear concealer?
Every single day. Usually just under eye. I had to wear some Bobbi Brown corrector on my lovely zit today.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?
No way!
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
Hung out with my friends at a going away party–we had lunch, hung out by the pool, I teared up a little at the thought of our friend Laurie leaving for Germany for two years, clammored over some great products Laurie brought to share with us girls and ended it all with a brownie Blizzard at Dairy Queen. Then I went to my parents’ house to pick up some zucchini and eggplant, visit and talked to my mom about our trip to Europe.
7. Something you’d like to learn?
I won’t share the one thing I really would like to learn as it’s kind of personal, but I wish I spoke German fluently.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look?
I wear pretty much the same look every day. I try to jazz it up for special events by wearing more eyeshadow and laying on the Bobbi Brown waterproof eyeliner on a little thicker.
9. What’s for lunch today?
A turkey, provolone, tomato and lettuce sandwich on whole wheat. Strawberries. A black cherry chobani. Maybe some chocolate for dessert.
10. Weekly goals:
-Keep up with our house a little better
-Get to bed earlier (by 9:30) so I am not napping every night like I did last week
-Make a couple of new recipes incorporating the zucchini and eggplant I just got
-Read more. Currently reading: Paris in Love-Take more walks with Craig now that our weather has cooled down a bit
-Make it to yoga once
-Blog more!

Hi Karen! It’s actually the first time ever I am filling in the Monday poll but I really like the questions so here we go:
1. Mood?
Feeling really happy today even though I am working. Me, my hubby and another couple are planning a short vacation for Labor Day weekend. We want to rent a cottage somewhere by Lake Michigan for 2 or 3 nights. Sounds like so much fun!
2. How would you describe your current hairdo?
My hair is longer than it’s ever been. It’s layered, past my shoulders, blonde highlights and bangs (that remind me I should trim them soon!)
3. Are you a Bond girl?
No, not really.
4. How often do you wear concealer?
Actually, I don’t wear concealer at all although I am looking for some good undereye concealer to hide tiredness in the morning and dark circles. Any suggestions? I don’t really have need for concealer on my face though, I only get occasional spots from time to time that are easily hidden under foundation and powder.
5. Do you think you’d make a good reality show judge?
I have never thought about it but probably I wouldn’t
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
I worked till noon. After me and my husband went over his parents’ for a Sunday brunch, then we went back home and I took an hour nap, after short trip to Target and in the evening I went out for coffee with my friends and my husband to discuss our vacation plans.
7. Something you’d like to learn?
I’d like to learn making gourmet pretty and fancy cupcakes but I don’t have patience for it. Also, I’d like to learn driving a car on the US roads and get my license. Funnily enough I have a Polish driving license and I can drive a shift stick 🙂 Just not feeling comfortable on american roads.
8. Do you have a signature make up look?
I like to try new looks too but I’d say brown/gold eye with black eyeliner in my waterlines, black mascara and nude/pinkish/peach lipgloss or lipstick and a pink blush.
9. What’s for lunch today?
That’s a good question. My lunch break is in 15 minutes….I think wasa bread with cheese.
10. Weekly goals?
The same as every week, to clean the house, get some exercise, not to get too upset at work and try not to spend too much money on make up, lol.
Have a great day Karen. And on caffeine subject, I am already drinking my third cup of coffee today. Right now I am sipping on a cup of Michigan Cherry coffee. YUM!

1. Mood: energized and ready to get some work done!
2. How would you describe your current hairdo? blah! :/

4. How often do you wear concealer? every once in a while
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge? haha no
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? testing makeup, working out, watching LOTR with my dog 🙂
7. Something you’d like to learn? I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the guitar
8. Do you have a signature makeup look? I guess if you want to call it that 😛 It’s just a quick wash of color, tightlining, lining the upper lashline with an olive green pencil, mascara, a pop of bright blush, and tinted balm or gloss
9. What’s for lunch today? Don’t know! But I’m huuungry
10. Weekly goals: keep working out, get caught up on work

8. Do you have a signature makeup look?
nude eyes and lip gloss, boring lol

Taffy says
1. Mood: It’s a glass half full, wallet completely empty kind of feeling.
2. How would you describe your current hairdo? Borrrriiinnngg!!!! I have about 2 inches of premature grey showing out of my standard black dye job. I would love to dye it a funky purple but I work in an accounting firm so everything is kind of drab. Although those people can really, really cut loose, you wouldn’t know it by looking at them!
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy? I am the Bond girl who beds him and then tries to kill him after. With that kind of attitude, I really should stop wondering why my relationships don’t work out.
4. How often do you wear concealer? Right before and during my monthly visit with my red haired friend.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge? You bet, I have the nasty habit of telling people what my opinion actually is instead of telling them what they want to hear. It sucks for friendships & relationships but it makes for good TV.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? Writing & cooking.
7. Something you’d like to learn? I’m that one person you know who doesn’t know how to drive.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look? Nars DolceVita matte lip pencil with matching blush & polished nails.
9. What’s for lunch today? Lunch is for people with money.
10. Weekly goals: Bake peach & blueberry pies and go to see “Celine & Julie Go Boating†a 1970’s French film that I wanted to see since I was 12 years old.
Stephanie R says
Mood:
Content. Dan just got home from San Jose last night and it was so nice to hug him and just let him take care of me for the rest of the night. I don’t mind being home alone as much as I did when we first were married when he did annual training for the Army, but I still feel a lot better when he’s here. Especially since I’m currently pregnant..
How would you describe your current hairdo?
Dark brown, almost black, wavy long layers and just got it cut from mid-back to shoulder length. I had lighter highlights before I was pregnant a year or so back, but I’m really liking my hair this dark. It looks more striking with my fair skin than the lighter color did, although I have to laugh when I remember my dad asking me if I’d dyed my hair. His surprised look when I said that I hadn’t dyed it for a while was great! Considering both of my parents are brunettes and Mom’s hair is fairly dark, you’d think this wouldn’t have been a shock.
Are you a Bond girl/guy?
Love Sean Connery’s accent, but Daniel Craig is just plain HOT. Loved the opening ceremony of the Olympics. Dan and I thought it was hilarious and that the Queen was a great sport about it!
How often do you wear concealer?
When I wear full makeup. If it’s just tinted moisturizer, I don’t care. Although with third trimester and at 32 weeks, I have circles from lack of sleep. They’re bad enough that I think I need my Secret Camoflage and not my YSL!
Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?
Possibly. I cringe whenever someone is off key even SLIGHTLY and actually like Simon Cowell at least telling them how it is. The other judges sometimes seem to give contestants false hope.
How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
Catching up on sleep and watching the Olympics intermittently when I wasn’t playing on the computer.
Something you’d like to learn?
I’d really like to learn how to play the piano. My neighbor works from home and gives lessons, but so far I haven’t asked her yet. I should, while I still have time.
Do you have a signature makeup look?
Usually fairly neutral eyes with a colorful liner and some lip gloss over lipstick. I love my colors!
What’s for lunch today?
a toasted cheese and turkey sandwich. No ham, since Dan ate the rest this morning. 🙁
Weekly goals:
Get the nursery finished and ready for Ashley’s arrival in late Sept./early Oct. and get my maternity bag packed and ready for the hospital!
Stef Smith says
1. Mood: Hungry! And a little anxious, the Memorial Service for my Grandma’s husband is tomorrow, and I don’t want to see my Grandma sad. They had an amazing life together, they treated it like a gift, that is inspiring!
2. How would you describe your current hairdo? I’m growing out a short shag, and it’s about shoulder length. I’m debating cutting my bangs shorter. It’s a medium brown color, my natural color, but I do use a gloss on it, I like having shiny hair!
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy? Guy! I’m usually pro-woman, but the women in Bond movies always seem slutty, and that’s not a role model I’m interested in.
4. How often do you wear concealer? Never. But I think it’s about time to start looking into it. I’m lucky that I have good skin, and a BB cream covers any redness I have, but that’s not going to be the case forever.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge? NO! I’m a softie, I want everyone to win. But I understand that not everyone can. My husband would make an outstanding judge, he’s very honest.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? Took the family swimming, had a lovely time!
7. Something you’d like to learn? I’d like to learn to play the piano, someday I’ll take lessons.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look? Actually, in my day-to-day life, I wear very little makeup. So no makeup is my signature look. When I do myself up, I like a neutral eye with shiny lips.
9. What’s for lunch today? I’m going to go cut myself up a giant salad right now, with turkey, cheese, and sunflower seeds! YUM!
10. Weekly goals: Get back to the gym, get the kids ready to start school next week, yay!, go to the Memorial Service and get through that, and have a little fun at the beach!

1. Mood:
Better than a week ago!
Last week was rough b/c we were dealing with some litter box issues with Ella. It seems that the stress of adding Nina to the house has caused her cystitis. She’s been on antibiotics and pain meds on and off for a month and recently had another relapse. We started her on some anti-anxiety meds to help keep her calm and added another litter box in a different location. I was so worried about her, but she seems to be better now – and mom’s in a much better frame of mind this week. Having multiple cats is fun, but the inter-cat politics can be rough. 🙂
2. How would you describe your current hairdo?
The front is about collar bone length and is angled so the front is a bit longer than the back. I’ve got some layers and sideswept bangs. I’ve had shorter hair (like chin length) for a long time, but I’m liking this longer length.
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy?
Yep! I like Daniel Craig as the latest incarnation of Mr. Bond.
4. How often do you wear concealer?
About a couple of times a week.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?
Nah. I’m okay judging while sitting in my couch, but it actually seems exhausting having to judge and review so many acts.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
Tidying up the house, playing with the cats and laundry.
7. Something you’d like to learn?
If I won the lottery, I’ve love to move to Hawaii and learn how to surf.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look?
I mostly wear neutrals with an emphasis on the eyes and lip gloss.
9. What’s for lunch today?
I had lunch at Quiznos. Some of their sandwiches clock in under 300 calories.
10. Weekly goals:
Nothing major. Just try to cook dinner at home at least 3 times this week.
P.S. What do you think of True Blood so far? Not all the episodes were my fave this season, but I’m enjoying it more now. On a totally superficial note, Eric has been looking especially fine the past couple of episodes. 🙂
Have a great day!

5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?: If it were about modeling or makeup, yes.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?: It didn’t go well. I was depressed and angry, and no amount of Chris Botti could properly soothe me.
7. Something you’d like to learn?: How to play the violin and a few languages.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look?: Neutral eyeshadow, black liner, berry pink blush and red lips.
9. What’s for lunch today?: Diced and seasoned potatoes and fish sticks.
10. Weekly goals: Read, read, read and look for some jobs.
Natasha says
1. Mood:
Optimistic
2. How would you describe your current hairdo?
Long with light layers. It’s hennaed red, but looks natural (my genetic heritage is Irish), and wavy. I recently discovered DevaCurl products and now my waves are very pretty and defined!
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy?
Daniel Craig!
4. How often do you wear concealer?
Daily….sometimes twice daily… that Irish heritage also gave me very pale skin with dark circles…
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?
No. I don’t even watch reality shows.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
Date day with the hubby! We saw Brave — which he admitted he really liked. Then we went to a new Nepalese restaurant for lunch. SHopping, then a nap. Rounded out by an evening watching the Olympics!
7. Something you’d like to learn?
So many things to learn… I would like to take sewing lessons so I can make more complicated things. I would like to learn to make real NY pizza… and maybe how to really paint…
8. Do you have a signature makeup look?
Pale lids (peach or pale yellow in the summer) and colored liner — often teal. Neutral rest of the face. Although I do love playing with tangerine-colored lipstick…
9. What’s for lunch today?
Roast beef and jalapeno cheese on a tortilla (doesn’t make crumbs in the office) and an apple. Boring, but fast since I only have 15 min for lunches.
10. Weekly goals: Exercise at least 20 min every morning, except Sunday.
Finish “Sky of Red Poppies” so I can return it to the library. Make packing list for Beijing (we’re leaving on the 23rd). Brush up on Mandarin.
Kim says
You gals were ambitious with the cooking! Good for you!! 🙂
1. Mood: Not too shabby, Tabby. 🙂
2. How would you describe your current hairdo? Freshly cut. About shoulder length with some new layers (so it’s extra curly/wavy), with a side part. It’s lightened up so much with the sun and chlorine that we had to use a new color formula for retouching the roots.
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy? Totally and completely. They all have their good and not-so-good points (except SC and DC, who are excellent imo), but I’ll watch any Bond.
4. How often do you wear concealer? Maybe like 3 times in my life. Not that I haven’t needed it; I’ve just never used it.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge? Probably not. I can be a bit unpredictable so the poor contestants wouldn’t know if I’d be laughing in their faces, telling them they sucked or being too positive. I don’t think constructive criticism is my strong suit.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? Doing a ton of shopping (home and grocery), then some swimming and working out.
7. Something you’d like to learn? To play the piano.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look? Boring? 🙂 I do, as you know. But, I’ve been patting on a light brown shadow over my brown liner lately. That was exciting!
9. What’s for lunch today? It was a colby jack cheese stick and some spicy buffalo Wheat Thins.
10. Weekly goals: Punch and kick (the punching bag) for at least 20 minutes every day after my workout. Make sure I have a babysitter so I can watch ohmygoshbournelegacy on Friday night. 🙂
Tracy says
1. Mood: A bit tired. Been having trouble sleeping through the night. Getting old really sucks-hot flashes keep waking me up.
2. How would you describe your current hairdo? Bright! And fun. Need to get a trim though!
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy? Neither. Never really could get into it for some reason.
4. How often do you wear concealer? Every time I wear makeup!
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge? Sure! I can judge fairly. I think. 🙂
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? I tried a Kettle ball workout and loved it! I’m a bit sore today so that’s good.
7. Something you’d like to learn? To speak French fluently. As a Canadian I can get by, but to hold a conversation is what I’d love to be able to do.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look? Not really, but I think I have finally discovered one!
9. What’s for lunch today? Woke up late, so I probably will skip it.
10. Weekly goals: Exercise every day and organize my work space better!
Karen says

4. How often do you wear concealer? normally every day but I ran out a month ago and I’ve got a bit of a tan so fat the moment none.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge? No. I’d either be too brutally honest (sometimes my face is SUCH an open book) or feel so bad I’d be too soft.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? Working. A lot. Glad to have a day off today.
7. Something you’d like to learn? Swedish. And Icelandic. Preferably both at the same time
8. Do you have a signature makeup look? UD Sin shadow pencil all over the lid, some UD Juju shadow pencil in the crease and along the lower lashline. Vanilla eyeshadow on the browbone and the inner corners of my eye, lighlty lining upper and outer lower lashline with some Carbon eyeshadow.
9. What’s for lunch today? We had beef kofta wraps with homemade tzatziki. Mmm.
10. Weekly goals: work, work, work. And read a bit in between. Organise the bbq party for the 18th 🙂

1. I’m in a good mood, but tired.
2. I currently have a pixie cut that is growing out. I need to get it thinned and my bangs trimmed so I won’t look so shabby.
3. I grew up watching Bond films on tv with my dad. I love SC but my fave is Daniel Craig. He is sexy, bad ass, but still comes across as smart and not a jerk.
4. I use a bit of extra foundation as a cover up and I use it daily.
5. I would be a horrible judge because I wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Plus I’m not good at criticizing things.
6. I went to my family picnic that had over 50, maybe closer to a 100 people there.
7. I like to learn to knit & ride a motorcycle
8. I guess my signature look is very natural and I only wear black eye liner.
9. Lunch will be fresh fruit
10. The main goal is to clean my daughters room and visit my dad this week.
Melissa says
1. Mood: ok I guess
2. How would you describe your current hairdo?: I have straight brownish black hair with thick bangs. It used to be super long, but I cut it in January to donate. Now it’s a little past my collarbones. I’m lucky enough to have “wash and go” type of hair. I don’t have to blowdry it or style it at all and it’s fine.
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy?: Not really.
4. How often do you wear concealer?: Usually on the weekdays
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?: I guess. I’d probably be like Simon from American Idol though.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?: Cleaning and cooking and studying.
7. Something you’d like to learn?: Crochet. I’ve been knitting for about 15 years, so it’s about time to add something new.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look?: Mascara only (I love Maybelline Full and Soft, maybe a simple cat eye with liquid liner if I have extra time), with lipstick. Usually a plummy-red. My recent favorites have been Guerlain RA in Samsara and Nuit d’Amour, and Chanel (one of the matte Rouge Allures) in La Sensuelle.
9. What’s for lunch today?: I had some bananas and Greek yogurt earlier, might make a grilled cheese with zucchini when I finish doing some work.
10. Weekly goals: finish cleaning the house and getting all of my notes printed.
Have a great week, everyone!

1. Mood: Slightly cranky and sluggish. I’m on my period, I slept for 11 hours last night (after sleeping only 4 hours Saturday night), and there’s a lot of cleaning I must do this Monday. I SHALL get through this.
2. How would you describe your current hairdo? I have dark reddish-brown hair that is slightly layered at the ends into a subtle V-shape. The length is to the base of my chest/mid-back, and a few strands of hair serve as “side bangs.” I’ve never dyed my hair and I’ve had this haircut all my life (in slightly different variations) – it’s signature.
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy? I thought Daniel Craig and Eva Green were awesome in their respective roles, but I don’t follow the Bond franchise at all.
4. How often do you wear concealer? When I’m in the mood for it. I’m 20, so my “dark circles” aren’t prominent unless I’ve stayed up late the previous night.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge? Like Karen, I don’t think I’d have the heart to do it. Constructive criticism doesn’t even have a place in reality TV, haha!
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon? It was the loveliest Sunday I’ve had in years! My best friend I ate lunch at the Nordstrom Cafe, spent time at the mall, headed downtown to window-shop and watch a bike festival/race, then had ourselves a little picnic in the park, listening to hours of music and reading aloud.

Have a great week, everyone!!
Tor says
1. Mood:
Content, if lethargic – I just made Kraft Dinner and I’m boiling in my flat!
2. How would you describe your current hairdo?
I’ve had it nearly all my life – long, dark brown hair with a straight fringe that falls below my eyebrows. I’m trying to convert it into a sixties Francois Hardy kind of thing, but I don’t think it works. My sister calls it ‘dolly hair’.
3. Are you a Bond girl/guy?
Not really. I appreciate the work that goes into it, but I really don’t have the patience to watch a Bond film! I’m an Austin Powers girl.
4. How often do you wear concealer?
Never. I don’t know how to wear it – I can remember being about 12 and having massive orange smears on my face! I remember my friends asking me what it was, which was mortifying.
5. Do you believe you’d make a good reality TV show judge?
I love judge work (I love presenting, too). I actually don’t watch TV, except for Eurovision and the like, but I think I’d be good at it.
6. How did you spend your Sunday afternoon?
I moved my blog domain and fiddled around with the layout a bit. Next Sunday I’m going to have to make myself a header.
7. Something you’d like to learn?
Icelandic. I say that because I’m listening to Sigur Rós right now, and honestly, it is such a beautiful language. I’d also like to learn a little guitar – nothing fancy, just enough to strum a little tune like ‘Moon River’.
8. Do you have a signature makeup look?
Long lashes, flushed cheeks, bitten lips. I like looking really wholesome and natural – I don’t even wear makeup most days, so I don’t do anything too drastic!
9. What’s for lunch today?
I made a big salad (baby spinach, cucumber and yellow pepper chunks, carrot sticks).
10. Weekly goals:
Make it through the working week, get a few recipes down, download a couple of eBooks and start reading A Game of Thrones. My friend Clara keeps telling me I need to read it, so I will!
