- You might be wondering, “So what the heck is this Monday Poll thing anyway?”
Well, it isn’t much of a poll. It’s more just a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past three years, which I guess makes this somewhere around Vol. 169. I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
- Mood:
- One great thing about getting older?
- What color do you use most in your eye makeup and why?
- What’s one thing your mom was right about?
- What’s your favorite book series?
- Your last sweet treat?
- Do you collect anything?
- Seersucker clothing — yea or nay?
- Your go-to eye cream?
- Weekly goals:
Peachy keen! I slept 10 hours last night and feel like a whole new girl.
After you experience a couple of life challenges, you start figuring sh*z out. Eventually, you’re not so green anymore. Like, when I was younger, I had a really hard time handling unexpected things (both in work and life), but now I feel like I can handle the curve balls much better than I could then.
Warm orangey browns like MAC Soft Brown, for sure. I wear them practically every day in the crease to create depth and to add contrast.
Sometimes, it’s better to just keep it to yourself.
The last one I really loved was The Hunger Games, but when I was a kid I was all about Sweet Valley High.
Yesterday at brunch I had a whole wheat pumpkin bar with cream cheese frosting, and MAN, it was so good!
Besides makeup, shoes and the pounds of tabby cat hair on my clothes, not much. If I had more time and room, I’d like to collect vintage maps (love them) and old books.
A definite yea!
Korres Quercetin & Oak Eye Cream. I’m already on my fourth bottle! It’s hydrating, absorbs quickly and layers well beneath makeup.
To focus on ONE thing at a time (I’m trying not to multitask so much), eat a salad every day and run at least four times before Saturday.
Hey, cutie. Happy Monday! If you have a moment, will you stop by and let me know what’s going on in your neck of the woods in today’s Monday Poll?

Then, I prepare some Avon hauling (I just became a rep, and I need to compile my first order) and some dollar store hauling (I’ve seen beautiful lipsticks there… in boxes, which isn’t so common for cheap stuff o_O). Oh, and a cinema on Friday… I’ve won a ticket for an art film (as a part of a film week or what) :D.

Getting to see how different things are now that you’ve lived through stuff. Like remember when you were in high school and you wanted to die because that guy you liked never called you back? (Hopefully) You get over that stuff and realize how awesome you are.
What color do you use most in your eye makeup and why?
Golds or peachy colors because they just look good with my skin and make me look awake.
What’s one thing your mom was right about?
Ignore anyone who is trying to bring you down.
What’s your favorite book series?
It’s been forever since I read a book series, but I loved the graphic novel series Y: The Last Man.
Your last sweet treat?
Um, when don’t I have a sweet treat?? I had a cookie yesterday from Panera. I love their cookies.

3. What color do you use most in your eye makeup and why? Neutral colors or dark smokey colors because I’m not too adventurous when it comes to color in my wardrobe or makeup lol I like to play it safe. I have all the colorful colors, but I just never reach for them haha.

1. Mood:
it’s bedtime, so i’m ebullient 🙂 it’s been a nice day
of getting things done even tho i skipped the gym.
2. One great thing about getting older?
you like yourself better & you don’t wait around
for other people to make you happy.
3. What color do you use most in your eye makeup and why?
browns, because that’s such a safe color for my olive skin
& brown eyes. because if i wear any colors other than brown
or neutrals i feel too “done” and therefore fake. some people
look so good with lots of eye stuff on, but i don’t feel comfortable
with what that looks like on me. i’m pretty introverted (and i like it!)
and i’m really liking champagne peaches, too. very glam, and
fuss-free.

5. What’s your favorite book series?

i had chocolate moose tracks ice cream today & loved
every bite.

i used to, but i’m too busy wiping things now. i’m the mom
of a very active 3 yr old boy & it seems i spend my days wiping.
i’m into very “plain” as a decor now because i know whatever
i have will get stuff spilled on it or otherwise wrecked. motherhood
can turn you into a minimalist!

in the summer & then going outside on the porch at dusk in
your seersucker nightgown….very blissful~!!!

10. Weekly goals:

facebook—her little girl advised to “breathe in the butterflies &
breathe out the dragons.” wise girl 🙂 xo
