I’m okay. Lately on Mondays I’ve been feeling this sense of dread about the upcoming week ahead (I call it “the Monday blues”). You know when you have the weight on your shoulders of too much to do and not enough time to get it all done? I was feeling it this morning, but then I saw the picture above, and it motivated me to try some new changes to make things better.
Taking a long, hot shower, putting on some comfy clothes and curling up on the couch to watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s on DVD.
Any sort of sliced fruit, with a spoonful of Nutella.
Al (my brother), Cindy (BFF), Jen (other BFF) and Naaman (my BFF from my old job).
El Hub and Tabs (when he lets me).

I took my mum out for brunch yesterday.
Relax (LOL, really!).
I’m all about comfort today: jeans, black t-shirt, pink sweatshirt and flip flops.
Try adding a few small changes to make my work life better, run five miles at least three times, remember to take my allergy meds, try NOT to multitask (still working on this one), explore new coffee shops/bookstores.

1. Mood- Feeling blah. I totally understand the Monday Blues…..it’s hard when you work at home. I am starting a freelance writing job, and I have an academic paper plus some paperwork I need complete for an office. It’s hard to do with a television, easy access to the kitchen, and books arriving in the mail today! It’s so hard to motivate myself when I’m not working in an office.
2. What’s one thing that always cheers you up after a bad day? A fabulous dinner and watching NCIS in my pajamas. For some reason, washing my face with a good cleanser really cheers me up!
3. What’s your favorite healthy snack? I like to eat fruit, like bananas and pineapples.
4. Who is (or who are the people) in your life that can make you laugh so hard tears come out your eyes? My fiance, my friend Jen, and my sister.

2. What’s one thing that always cheers you up after a bad day? A good meal — either taking the time to prepare something I know I’m going to enjoy or pampering myself at a good restaurant with a favorite dish and glass of vino. Adding friends to the mix makes it even better.
3. What’s your favorite healthy snack? Almonds. Love them in just about any form — plain, salted, smoked, temari, and right now loving the TJ honey sesame ones. Just a few and I’m perked back up.

Honestly, kinda discouraged. I need a job and found a possible one, BUT it’s full time and the internship I’m taking next year requires me to raise my own support, which in and of itself is a full time job.
