Still deciding, but I think I might do either something with Dolce & Gabbana Midnight Bloom or MAC Art Supplies.
Nay!
I think I have a great memory for details.
Going to bed with damp hair… It saves from having to blow dry and gives my mane mad volume in the morning.
Dark boot cut stretchy jeans, a pink tank top and a brown long sleeve henley
Just one thing this week because it’s THAT crucial. I need to straighten up my workspace. It’s a complete and total mess!
Happy Monday, ladies, and good morning to ya. 🙂
The Tabby Alarm Clock got me up a little earlier than scheduled this morning. Lately he’s been into climbing all over me like I’m some kind of kitty jungle gym. I think I’m going to require an extra cup of tea today, but I’ll “get there” eventually!

3. What do you wish you had more time for? visiting all my friends they are so scattered
4. What was the last book you couldn’t put down? Precious by Sapphire. I had tried to read it before but I was determined to read the book before I watched the movie. Both are totally worth it.
5. Eyes/lips/cheeks: mascara, aquaphor lip balm, MAC bronzer
6. Crocs — yay or nay? NAY NAY NAY!!!
7. What’s one of your strengths? I’m really good at lifting things and what-not. I like to pretend I’m She-ra Princess of Power!!
8. What’s one of your favorite time-saving beauty tricks? I know this is wierd but I learned this from my dad. On Saturday I do all of those long beauty treatments like deep conditioning and hair removal. That way my week starts all fresh and clean and I don’t have to worry about that stray eyebrow hair!
9. Outfit: Jeans, t-shirt, Baker University hoodie
10. Weekly goals: Dog sitting Charlie again so I’m excited to see him! Get stuff done this week so I don’t freak out later.
Karen says
I just watched that movie! How is the book?
Tania says
The movie and the book are good. The language is a bit different but it’s good. Worth a read plus it’s only like 140 pages!
Catherine says
1. Mood: Pretty good! I’m tired, but it’s the Monday of Spring break and it’s sunny outside!! 😀 😀 😀
2. Are you a hat person? Hm, not really. I actually quite like hats because I think I look good in them but I’m not really good at wearing them. I think part of the reason is that the weather is generally so nice where I am it’s not really necessary for warmth. I am, however, a scarf fiend. My neck is embarassingly a shade or two lighter than my neck because I am always wearing a scarf. LOL!
3. What do you wish you had more time for? Oh man, so many things! I think most of all though, I wish I had more time for studying and really learning my course material well instead of just cramming. That’s actually one of the biggest regrets I’ve had about my undergraduate career and why I wouldn’t recommend my alma mater. I think we have a fantastic curriculum and very nice professors, but in general ones that fail terribly at teaching.
4. What was the last book you couldn’t put down? The Demon Under the Microscope by Thomas Hager – it’s an absolutely fascinating book about the discovery of the first antibiotic (sulfanilamide, not penicillin), it’s use, the birth of clinical trials, FDA regulations, etc. The author does a fantastic job weaving together this brilliant story and he goes over not only the scientific discovery but the political and social aspects that affected it and that it affected as well. And I think you don’t have to have a science background to read and appreciate it. I loved it!
5. Eyes/lips/cheeks: Currently nothing, but I’m thinking some peaches and corals with gold/taupe eyes today. So… probably MAC Blonde’s Gold, Cocomotion/Laura Mercier Peach Sorbet/Shu Uemura Glow On in P Peach 47. But we’ll see. I just got up about 10 minutes ago lol.
6. Crocs — yay or nay? LOL. I keep going back and forth on this one! On the one hand, they’re really quite unattractive. On the other hand, my sore aching legs and feet keep begging for them! If only they had their cute flats on sale sometimes. I am not paying money for those ugly clog things.
7. What’s one of your strengths? I’ve been told since I was little that I have a gift for explaining complex concepts in simple laymen’s terms. I’d like to teach in the future. =)
8. What’s one of your favorite time-saving beauty tricks? I don’t know if this counts as a trick, but I (try to) get haircuts that air dry really well so I don’t have to blow-dry or style in the morning.
9. Outfit: PJs and a Japanese style robe. Later I’m looking forward to folding about 5 loads of freshly washed laundry in order to find my cute skirts.
10. Weekly goals: Relax and recuperate! And also make a sizeable dent in the amount of work I’ve taken on from my partner, as well as get a few mini projects started up in lab. I would also very much like to go to the Wild Animal Park.
I think I’m gonna need an extra cup of tea to get going this morning too (SO and I watched the last showing of Alice in Wonderland in 3D last night, so it was a bit of a late night, but it was awesome!). What’s your favorite kind?
.-= Catherine’s last blog post… Rock & Republic Cosmetics on Editor’s Closet =-.
Karen says
LOL, it seems like you’re always doing laundry!
I’ve been all about green tea lately, and have especially been loving Mighty Leaf’s Green Tea Tropical. It’s so yum!
http://www.mightyleaf.com/product/green-tea-tropical-tea-pouches/
How ’bout you?
Catherine says
LOL I KNOW RIGHT?! Life’s never-ending battle. ;_;
Ooh, I have that one and it’s one of my favorites! I also love their Chamomile Citrus and Orange Dulce black tea. What I love about Mighty Leaf’s teas is that most of them are so delicious for iced tea too.
When you’re in the city, though, you need to visit Blest Tea (http://www.yelp.com/biz/blest-tea-san-francisco). It’s my absolute favorite little tea shop. I like it better than the surrounding ones because they’re not (nearly as) pushy with the sales and will basically happily let you try as many teas as you want. Also, they have a relatively small, but incredible selection and the prices are more in the same range whereas some of the surrounding stores have $1 teas and $6000 teas. They’re a little pricier, but the Orchid Green Tea and Jade Black Tea are SO WORTH IT. They’re truly high-quality teas (the kind you only have to steep for 30 seconds and can steep 5-7x) so even 1-2oz (I think they were both ~$12 for 2oz) will last you quite a while.
