Leave a Comment for a Chance to Win a $50 Sephora E-GIFT CARD! (Ends Monday)

Published in: Giveaways, Just For Fun

This giveaway is closed, and the winner has been contacted (CONGRATULATIONS, MICHELLE!!!), but check back next Saturday for another giveaway.

Sephora giveaway!

This place needs a Sephora. That would totally take the Kaiser SF hospital to the next level. Picture it: Sephoras inside the maternity ward — mini Sephoras, like the small ones inside JCPenney stores, but, like, a Sephora in the maternity ward at the hospital.

I think I’m on to something. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good morning, beautiful! I just woke up from a rollicking four hours of sleep, which sounds lame, but in this brave new world of being Connor’s mom, four hours is awesome.

I should be going home today, and I’m really excited about it. Introducing Connor and Tabs will be like a meeting of world superpowers. I just hope the two of them can reach a dรฉtente.

It’s Saturday, right? I’m pretty sure it’s Saturday… I’m starting to lose track of the days, but assuming it’s Saturday, let’s get on with the giveaway. I hope your weekend is filled with delicious brunch goodies, lots of hugs, a cat or two and good coffee. Talk to you soon, my friend.

  • One (1) Sephora eGift card containing $50 sent to the winner by email (international readers, you may opt to receive $50 sent by PayPal instead).

  • Enter by leaving a comment below.
  • Open to U.S. and international readers.
  • You must be 18 or older to enter (or otherwise an adult based on your local laws).
  • Your comment can be about anything at all, but here are some ideas if you’re stuck:
    • Were you born with hair or without?
    • What’s the best makeup brush cleanser?
    • Would you rather wear earrings, a necklace or a bracelet?
    • What’s the last beauty product you enthusiastically recommended to someone?
    • How many piercings do you have?
    • What’s the last piece of makeup you bought?
  • One entry per person.
  • You must use a valid email address to win.
  • The giveaway ends on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time). ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Christine says:

I look forward to hearing about this Epic Meeting b/t Connor Claire & Tabs!

Best makeup brush cleaner hands/brushes down would be that by Cinema Secrets. Despite that toxic (but gorgeous!) blue color, it just gets the job done and it smells vanilla-ish lovely, too.

    • Shannon says:

Congrats! My 82 year old grandma would agree. She recemtly found herself in the hospital with no lipstick or hairbrush. She doesn’t go anywhere without her lipstick! And I was born with a full thick head of hair. The top was red and underneath blond.

  2. Justine says:

What about a Sephora rolling cart that visits the rooms?

  3. Summer says:

I can’t wait to hear more about her!

I’m taking my 3 month old to Sephora for the first time today. I’m debating whether or not it would be wrong to use her bald little head as a space for swatches…

  4. Ashleigh says:

I was born with hair just like my 2 little boys. Total heartburn all pregnancy.

  5. Gemma says:

Can’t wait to here about their meeting! I was born with no hair, and looked like a prawn until I was about eight months old! xx

  6. Katherine says:

    I’d rather wear a necklace!

  11. Allison says:

The last makeup I bought was the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea palette, which I don’t need but absolutely had to have.

I hope you get to go home – I’m sure you’re well tired of the hospital!

  18. Leora says:

    Congratulations mama!!! โค๏ธ

  19. The last makeup I bought was a NYX matte lip cream in Addis Ababa, which the website told me was out of stock but was miraculously in my Target anyway. So excited to try it!

  20. Lizzy says:

Congratulations Karen! ๐Ÿ™‚ Been following your blog for awhile and I’m so happy for you! The last piece of makeup I bought was the Marc Jacobs Remarcable foundation concentrate. I have so much on my list but I have yet to convince my boyfriend to venture into the depths of Sephora with me. He told me whenever he’s in there he just thinks to himself “That’s too much for a pencil…… I don’t get what that is…..” over and over, hahah. Wish me luck!

  21. rosalyn says:

Congratulations !! I had tonnes of hair when I was born โ˜บโ˜บ

  29. Natasha says:

“Picture it: Sephoras inside the maternity ward โ€” mini Sephoras, like the small ones inside JCPenney stores, but, like, a Sephora in the maternity ward at the hospital.” Oh gosh this made me laugh but yaaassss please, just somewhere in hospital will do! Once caged in hospital for months with ugly face, I wish there was a place where you can just pop in there for some quick fix so that they won’t see you looking not-so-good. I feel jealous that you still look fabulous without makeup. I mean…what’s the secret???

  30. Fran says:

I just realized that I forgot to mention how spectacularly gorgeous Connor is for a newborn!

An who would have imagined a world in which four hours of unbroken sleep is a luxury?

I like your description of the upcoming meeting of Tabs and Connor…

I was born with a full head of long, jet-black hair.
    Which promptly fell out.
What grew back was a mousy brown, in a family of brunettes and redheads. I never really appreciated my hair until it started to go gray in an attractive way.

I wear earrings and a watch (my form of bracelet) every day, but I love a necklace or scarf for framing my face and elevating an outfit.

  31. Anamika says:

I just love wearing Earrings ๐Ÿ™‚ well if i get a beautiful neck piece I would wear that too ๐Ÿ˜‰

  32. Colleen Boudreau says:

I was born with a lot of hair.

  33. Aj says:

Congratulations on your baby girl! ๐Ÿ˜€

I would wear earrings, they’re something I always put on before I leave the house. Even if I don’t wear any makeup, I think earrings just ties everything together for me.

The last beauty product I recommended to someone was the Macadamia Professional Weightless Moisture Leave-In Conditioning Mist – even though it says it’s for fine hair and I have medium-thick hair, it works amazing for me. It really does help with detangling and keeping the frizz down.

  34. Liliane says:

Congratulations on being a Mom! ๐Ÿ™‚

The last beauty product I recommended to someone were the Eyeshadows from Makeup Geek. The colors are just so nice and well pigmented.

  35. Carly M says:

Let’s see… the last makeup item I purchased was the Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop in Volver. It’s amazing.

I have two piercings? One in each ear for my earrings. I’m rather boring like that but that’s how I roll.
I hope y’all get home today and that y’all transition well.

  43. Sara says:

Earrings! They are my jewelry weakness.

  44. Mariann says:

The last beauty product I bought was a nail polish: Essie’s in stitches. Such a great color.

  66. Alison says:

I really should remember to enter this giveaway more often, rather than just reading the email then forgetting about it.

I *always* wear a necklace – I feel naked without one. I actually just bought a new one this afternoon from Forever 21, with tiny turquoise beads and 5 dangling silver elephants on parade.

  67. Jessica Rigano says:

Hello ladies & gentlemen, this is my first time leaving s comment. Therefore, I am very excited and I feel like I have so much to say!! The last beauty product I recommended to s friend was Botanical foundation by Limelight by alcone. It’s great, covers up dark spots & you look awake and ready to go!! I used to have many piercings, but since I am older I only kept my belly button and ears. Lol. I used to be known for all of my silver bracelets on my left arm ( about 35) and my fun ones stacked all the way up on my right arm. Many necklaces as well. Let’s just say I’m unique. Lol. Thank you for reading!! Have a wonderful weekend, Unique Jess

  68. Marisela Bennett says:

I was born with a full set of hair ready to be trimmed lol and I’m sure it has to do with my ethnicity. My Mom said that I had hairy arms and back even thought that all fell off as the weeks went on.

  69. Tavia says:

Congratulations Karenn!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š I’m super excited for you and I hope the best for both of you.

Congratulations Karen. I can’t wait to hear all about the delivery of Conner! As far as jewelry goes my favorite pieces are ring s but after that comes earrings. Currently my most favorite and consistently used makeup is the Elf lash tint, which I use as a base under the Loreal telescopic carbon black, and my natural matte Viseart palette. I use the Viseart palette to conceal dark under eye circles after applying cream products, contouring my nose, and priming my lids for other e/s.

  106. Bex D says:

Congrats to you all. Sorry to hear you had such a rough time but hopefully you’ll recover quickly! You have a beautiful little girl.

Congratulations! I was born bald as a cueball, but my son was born with a thick swatch of black hair. He even had hair on his ears! (Thankfully, the ear hair fell out after a few weeks…eek!)

  122. Amoure Jones says:

    Hey Karen and family,
Again congratulations on the new addition to your family – a beautiful baby girl. Yes I do think you could be on to something with a Sephora in the hospital. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been there and forgotten my mu bag at home only to have to beg someone to bring it to me. Being dolled up in a hospital bed is definitely on trend. My love and blessings to you all.

Now the last thing I purchased was the MUFE Full Cover Camo Cream. This stuff is gold and magic all shoved into one tiny bottle. Of course purchased from Sephora and I really want to get those Sephora brand correctors and concealers.

  123. Suzanne says:

At 39 years old, I currently have just 3 open piercings (down from 9 in my 20s): my earlobes and a little opal stud in my right nostril. It’s meaningful to me because I was told as a teen that no one would love me unless I got a nose job, so my opal stud is a middle finger that says my nose is just fine, fits with the rest of my face, and I’m not hiding it.

  124. NFJ says:

The last makeup I bought (on this past Wednesday) was a light-ish brown eye liner I thought would be too light for me but it turns out by switching out my dark purple, dark blue and blacks for a lighter color I can make a beautiful smokey brown day look. LOVE IT! Happy surprise!

  125. JCarbonel says:

I use Dr. Bronner’s soap per your suggestion in a post a long time ago. I just finished my first bar and I’m debating between trying out the liquid or solid again!

  126. BJW says:

I think I was born with hair. But now that you ask, I can’t remember if I’ve seen a picture of me as a newborn. I have plenty of pictures of both my sons right from the beginning, but I can’t remember if I’ve seen any of me. Maybe one, perhaps in my parents’ possession.

  127. Cherie says:

Just bought Burberry’s Earthy and Charlotte Tilbury Film star Bronze and Glow. Happy with my haul for the month!

  128. maria says:

I need to get some new blushes, maybe a palette!

  129. Sylvia says:

Congrats on the arrival of Connor! I’m glad you are both ok. The last makeup items I bought were last weekend. I purchased some of NARS spring collection, but only kept the Rosecliff lipstick. I was disappointed in the Instant Crash gloss, it felt gritty to me, and the gorgeous Kari eyeshadow didn’t show up on my lids. Rosecliff however was perfect and I’m enjoying it very much.

  130. Catherine says:

Congrats on the birth of beautiful baby Connor! What a gem <3
I was born with a head full of dark hair. Having spent an inordinate amount of time in hospitals over the past two years with my mom, I can absolutely agree with you on the installation of Sephora into hospitals. Everyone's mood would be much improved!

  131. Amy says:

I was born with a lot of really dark hair!

  132. Allison says:

I can’t imagine what the confrontation between Connor and Tabs will be like! Or perhaps they will bond immediately and begin cat-baby schemes. I don’t know, but it would probably make for a good sitcom. Lol ^^

  133. Cyndi says:

I currently have 7 piercings… and am contemplating getting a nose piercing. We’ll see!! And congrats on Miss Connor!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  134. Jocelyn says:

Were you born with hair or without? – lots of hair!

  136. Paulina Rios says:

Congrats Karen! my last beauty product that I enthusiastically recommended is my foundation to Urban Decay!!

  137. Karen says:

Congrats on your lovely bundle of joy! 4 hours of sleep is pretty good from what I remember of my kids infancy…take it when you can.

For me it’s earrings all the way…I feel naked without a pair on.

  138. Vanessa says:

I recommended the ever curl cleaning balm that you rec’d to me to a friend ๐Ÿ˜‰

  139. Sandy P says:

So glad you had some sleep BUT thrilled that Miss Connor has arrived.

When I worked I wore a ton of jewelry including bangles and layered necklaces. Now I no longer work so I have my wedding ring on my left hand and a heirloom diamond ring from a Great-Great Aunt on my right hand. Usually just wear a pair of stud earrings and no other jewelry.

  140. Joni Corak says:

congratulations, love!! miss connor is gorgeous (of course!!) and I’m happy to hear you made it through… though tbh your whole ordeal sounds terrifying!! ๐Ÿ˜ณ I’ll bet tabs was waiting with baited kitty breath until he received word that all was well!

After I was born, following a considerably less harrowing but still drawn out birth, (ten hours!) i had enough very dark hair that I had a little pony on top of my head for the hospital photo! ๐Ÿ™‚

today, I also have a (less dark) pony on top of my head, and I shall tell you my incredibly simple jewelry routine: I have silver loops in my ears, a mostly-silver/swarovski-sparkled beaded bracelet on my left wrist, and a silver (sensing a theme? lol) necklace around my neck. and as for the routine? the simple part is that I never take any of those things off. seriously. I clean them every once in awhile, but I haven’t removed them on purpose for anything but an X-ray in AGES! I will wear one necklace for months until I become enamored with a new one. they’re always pretty low key, tho. Currently, it’s a super thin chain with a teensy tiny dainty little minimalist silver giraffe living it’s best dangling life. ๐Ÿ™‚

other than that, I have a couple rings I’ll throw on if the mood strikes me, but I’m way more likely to alternate my lippies than my jewelry!

get some rest and pass some love onto sweet BG! ๐Ÿ™‚ xx

  141. Mary says:

I hope the introduction of Tabs to his new baby sister–I mean, assistant–goes smoothly!

I was born without any hair. I was also six weeks early, so. My mom says I looked like a naked squirrel.

  142. Rachel R. says:

I can’t wait to hear how the meeting of Connor and Tabs go. We’ll need lots of cute pictures of that. ๐Ÿ™‚

The makeup item I bought was Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Black Truffle. Seriously the best dark, vampy violet-black lipstick I’ve ever used. Opaque and not at all patchy or pink.

  143. Bianca Rogoveanu says:

I recently bought Maybelline Fit Me Concealer !

  144. Katrina says:

Earrings – I love my diamond studs!

  145. Krystle says:

    Congratulations, Karen!

  146. Nicole says:

I have six piercings. Hoping to make it eight by the end of the year!

  147. Tatiana says:

Hope the meeting between Tabs and Connor goes well. It may be hard on Tabs for a while as he realizes his best assistant has her attention focused on someone else, but I’m sure he’ll get over it when he realizes how beautiful and amazing Connor is.

  148. Tania G says:

Congratulations on your new little precious girl!!!
I used to have 4 ear piercings as a teen, but I let 2 grow in. Now I only have 2.

  149. Efrain says:

I really want to know how it goes the meeting between Connor and Tabs.

  150. I last purchased some blush and an eyebrow pencil.

  151. Lorraine says:

Earrings! and Nail polish! hooray for babies born with and without hair! it is absolutely not a predictor of future hair. baby hair all falls out anyway and gets replaced, just like eye color changes until it settles in. So much fun to watch all the progression.

  152. Susan Christy says:

Two piercings – one in each ear lobe.

  153. Aurelie Red says:

The last piece of makeup I bought was a Sephora lipstick (burgundy !).
    And welcome Connor !

  154. Mel. B. says:

I have eight piercings. I have five on one ear and three on the other. Congrats on Baby Conner! Can’t wait to hear all about her meeting with Tabs. ๐Ÿ™‚

  156. BooBooNinja says:

I’m sending positive vibes from me and my kitties for a long and loving relationship between Tabs and Connor. Any nicknames for BG yet?

Hoping for info on the executive meeting between Connor and Tabs. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Last makeup…well, I just bought some Clarins skincare to try.

  160. Jennifer says:

The best makeup brush cleaner for me is Dawn soap. It takes off all the product and leaves the brush super clean.

  161. Allie says:

Make up brush cleaner? Let me direct you to Cinema Secrets. You dip your brush in and wipe it on a paper towel and it magically looks brand new. Andddd… It dries crazy quick- even my foundation brushes! Love it.

  162. Deb says:

Just my ears pierced. Congratulations again. Happy to hear you’re all doing well.

  163. Susan T. says:

I’m sure Connor and Tabs will be BFF’s. She’ll like him for his fur and soft tum and he’ll like training someone else to open his cans of gravy! ๐Ÿ™‚ The brush cleaner I use is a Japanese brand called Daiso Detergent for Sponges and Brushes. It works great!

  164. Kate says:

I love the Becca highlight in Champagne Pop and turned my sister on to it.

  165. ann b says:

    I love a statement necklace

  166. Kecia S. says:

    Happy Saturday, Karen & Connor!

Yesterday, I bought the MAC x Zac Posen lipstick in Dangerously Red. I stopped by the counter in Macy’s to get makeup tips for a friend, & I made the mistake of swatching this color on my hand. Next thing I knew, I was at the register with my debit card in hand. I have NO idea how that happened…LOL! It’s such a gorgeous color. Prior to that, I received the box of Tarte by the Sea products I ordered. I tried the face mist this morning & I can’t wait to play with the new lipsticks.

  167. Charlotte says:

I would love to hear about the meeting of the two super powers! Would Tabs think of it as the job interview for the new hire?

  168. wina says:

  173. Maria Malaveci says:

I have three piercings, one in each ear & I have one in my belly button that I still count even though I don’t have jewelry in it, as the hole is still there. Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

  178. zVintageFashionizta says:

Your precious baby girl is a cutie patootie!
I’m looking forward to hearing about Connor’s and Tab’s first meeting.

I was born as bald as a cue ball; that is why my mother had my ears pierced within months of my birth so that I would not be mistaken for a Boy.

  179. Lori P says:

Earrings. I work at a computer 8 hours and up and the noise wearing rings and bracelets makes on a keyboard drives me nuts. I don’t wear necklaces because I’m always catching them on something and either breaking the chain or choking myself so earrings it is.

  180. KelseyBelle says:

Earrings – Right now baby boy is in the grabbing shiny objects phase so bracelets and studs are difficult.

Last recommendation was a T3 curling iron, I am horrible at doing hair, but somehow I can manage with that iron.

  181. Donna W. says:

I don’t feel fully dressed if I’m not wearing earrings.

  184. Terri says:

I’m so glad that you and Connor Claire are doing well, and congratulations to you and your family! I hope that Tabs is accepting of his new assistant :).

I prefer necklaces, but I also like earrings. Braclets seem to get in the way when I work, so I usually take a pass on them.

  185. Denise S says:

I was born with no hair. Then it came in blonde and stayed that way until I was about 4 years old. It kept getting darker after that and now my hair is dark brown. I wish the blonde had stayed.

Congratulations on Baby Connor. Love the name!

  186. Michelle Castagne says:

Hi Karen! Congrats to you and your husbands brand new baby Conner! I hope you are able to get discharged today and that the new journey of being a mom will be a great one!

I’m in an accessories craze right now where I’m buying classic pieces such as solid colored tops and adding accessories like necklaces and scarves to my wardrobe. Loft seems to carry some of my most recent accessory purchases.

I definitely prefer earrings…I’m a bit of an earring addict, I have hearts, snowflakes, seahorses, turkeys, etc

  207. Mary W says:

  211. Rebecca Harris says:

Congrats on your arrival of your bundle of joy! I am wanting to try the Nars matte tinted moisterizer along with the nude beauty blender. If I lose 5lbs by the end of this month, I will reward myself to this.

  212. Maddie says:

I only have my ears pierced. My mom took me to the mall to get it done when I was nine years old, after months of me begging her. She had always worn clip-on earrings herself, so she decided to get her ears pierced as well that same night.

  218. Tracy Robertson says:

Connor Claire is beautiful! Will you wait to get her ears pierced so she can make the choice? I got mine pierced when I was around 13 after a couple years of begging my parents! I just have the original, one piercing in each ear. I don’t want any more.

  219. Cel says:

I could imagine all the returns though, “I bought this when I was not of right mind” haha

Nevertheless, I would want a sephora at a hospital. I want a sephora errwhereee actually.

I was born with so much hair, I remember my mom saying she would pick me up from my crib and I left so much hair on it. I would shed like a chick haha.

    Hello Karen,
Welcome to the world Connor!!! So glad everything going grand! The very last thing that I enthusiastically recommended to someone was Revlon’s Colorstay Creme foundation! I love it over BECCA, KatVonDee – all of them. I’ve tried many and they all go back to Sephora. It blends like a dream….. I just can’t wear it in the summer so I go to the liquid version. It has an impeccable finish and doesn’t budge. I’d like to find a high-end one that I really like, but I just haven’t. I’ll keep looking!!!
So glad everything’s well and hope the transition with Tabs goes well…. Gracie I don’t know how she’d do… she’s accepted my boyfriend.. and loves him. God Bless all of you!!!

my last beauty product, i’ve purchased some hours ago – the MAC ellie goulding halcyon days face kit. i’m OBSESSED with that woman… so i bought both of the face kits (halcyon days i’ve bought in germany, halcyon nights came from the us, as well as the without your love lipstick, which i own twice (i love this colour!). the ONLY YOU lipstick is in my collection as well as the 20 lashes. of course, the bronzer is one of my favourite things to use!

  281. Laura says:

    Congrats onConnor’s arrival. <3

  282. Jaclyn Mercer says:

Both of my kids were born without hair and didn’t grow much beyond peach fuzz until age 18 months or so. Congrats!

  283. Isabella says:

I left maternity ward with my infant 5 months ago (already have one toddler — everyone is still getting used to the situation). Since the birth of my youngest, I’ve been desiring for each store to have a drive through. I don’t feel like dragging two kiddos in the snow to get my concealer! Sure, I can order online, but this requires the level of thinking ahead I do not currently possess. If I have a 3-year-old neighbor’s birthday party happening this weekend, I need high-end products NOW (yes, I know how pathetic this sounds, but these are my occasions to doll up these days…). The Sephora drive through should have three or four lines, like a bank, and a simple system for choosing cosmetics that asks you what your skin type/color is etc. Wouldn’t it be something?

  284. Heather L says:

The last “piece” of makeup I purchased was actually a haul of several Marc Jacobs items, including a few eyeliners (had one before, loved it so much I went back for more!), a blush, and the coconut water primer. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great eyeliner try these – no skipping, tugging, and such a smooth, effortless line. I don’t have the steadiest hands so I can’t use most eyeliners – but these are the bomb!

  285. Laurie says:

So glad that you and Connor are doing well! I have only two piercings now (one in each ear) but in the past I had 14 ๐Ÿ™‚

  286. Makyla says:

Congratulations, Karen!! I hope you, El Hub, and Tabs are enjoying every second of your precious little girl, which I know you are! God bless you all!
I think id have to go with necklace!

  287. Deb says:

Congratulations Karen for the arrival of baby Connor!
The last cosmetic product I recommended was Clarins’ Double Fix Mascara Sealer. This is a great product! Thank you for the giveaway!

  288. sheila ressel says:

I only have 2 piercings – one in each ear lobe.

  289. Kim Henrichs says:

    I love necklaces!!

  290. Gina M says:

The last makeup product I bought was a morphe pallette! It’s incredible and I can’t stop recomending it.
India recently posted … New Arrivals At Costco Beauty!

  292. Trude says:

The last product I recommended was Kevyn Aucoin’s everyday mascara. It’s amazing! I’m totally hooked.

  293. Alli says:

I was born with hair! My almost seven week year old was born with so much hair he was famous in the hospital! The nurses kept coming in to see him!

  294. arijana birston says:

i think people should use brown mascara more often. everyone wears black one and it doesn’t look that great on everyone. if you have green or blue eyes, try some brown one

  295. Amber Y says:

I always forget how much I enjoy going for sushi until we go for sushi again. It’s so delicious and the more people who come out for dinner the better it gets. We shared mountain rolls near the end of the night and they were deffinitely the hit of the meal.

  296. Krystal says:

Congratulations Karen! Say goodbye to sleep.

Last makeup item I bought (yesterday) was MAC Studio Fix Fluid. My first ever liquid foundation. I used to think that I didn’t need foundation because I had really good skin, and I would do a lot of smokey eye looks. I just learned that regardless of how nice your skin is, if you’re doing a smokey eye or any kind of bold makeup you need foundation to pull it all together, otherwise, you look not finished. Also, moisturize. It’s one of the differences between amateur and professional looking makeup application.

  297. Justine says:

I bought a couple of the news Bite Beauty Amuss Bouche lipsticks! Love them so far! I got Rhubarb and Sake. I’m thinking a bright and a darker shade are next!

  298. Donneisha Dahlgren says:

I recently started to enjoy makeup and find the ELF brands so great to experiment techniques and colors to match my skin tone before buying something at sephora, now I have my friends doing it too!

  299. Polyana Muniz says:

The last product that I brought was mac’s blot powder pressed, as a present for my bithday.

  300. Debora Covasa says:

Best brush cleanser is the one from MAC.
I hace 6 piercing in my ears.

  301. Lauren says:

MATORA=Maternity ward Sephora!! Love the idea! I hope the whole family is home, resting, and getting along with Tabs!

I’ve finally introduced myself to Kevin Aucoin products, so I just bought a lip liner, lipstick, and sensual skin enhancer!

  302. Kristen says:

Would you rather wear earrings, a necklace or a bracelet? I usually wear the same earrings all the time. And necklaces get tangled in my hair at the nape of my neck too much (I wish I could wear them!) so I’ll have to go with bracelets.

  303. Ines Fernandes says:

I was robbed last week for the first time in my life. I got so traumatised and depressed that I decided to buy some new make up to put away my misery. It kind of worked!

  304. Adrienne says:

The last thing I bought was Smashbox foundation that didn’t work out. I’ve been struggling lately to find the right foundation ๐Ÿ™ the Colour ID system at Sephora was giving me suggestions all over the map! I’m half a shade lighter than NARS Syracuse, so my goal for the week is to take a bunch of swatches and samples and solve this puzzle!

  305. Suzanne C says:

I cannot wait to hear about Tabs meeting Connor Claire.

I was born with a little hair, but it was platinum, so it was hard to tell. I have three holes in each earlobe, but the top ones are nearly closed. It just got to be too much trouble. I turned 40 and now I’m all about the simple.

  306. Emily Clark says:

I’ve never seen this giveaway before, how fun! I have a nose piercing which I love, with a small stud. I like the little sparkle it gives.

I did used to have my lip pierced as well as an ear lobe stretcher, but I think my alternative days are gone now I’m pushing 30!

  307. Jade Goncalves says:

Would you rather wear earrings, a necklace or a bracelet? I always wear earring small ones

  308. Maryna says:

Congrats on your baby-girl!Ilove idea Sephora in hospital!!!

  309. Casey says:

My favorite brush cleanser is the mac brush cleaner for brushes used with powder products, and I like the cinema secrets cleanser for brushes used with cream products

  310. Diane says:

The last makeup I suggested to a friend was Urban Decay Naked Skin. She was just getting into makeup and knew she wanted foundation, but didn’t want it to feel heavy on her skin. The wide range of colors also made it easy to find her match. ๐Ÿ™‚

  311. Solangel says:

I was half bald for months! Combover baby~

  312. Hollie says:

Congrats on your beautiful new baby girl, may she warm your heart and bring you a million and one smiles!! (And that’s all in a day) I love using the beauty blender solid to wash my brushes. I do want to try Dr. Bonner and the Cinema one too. I giggled when I read about wishing there was a Sephora in the hospital. That would really be a good idea. I bet they’d make a ton of money. I was born with light brown hair, not a ton but enough to tape a ribbon in. That’s what my mom and aunts did to me. I was the last of 3 girls born into a family of mostly boys. My female cousins are 15 + years older than me. Enjoy all the fun and not so fun times with your baby, you will blink and she will be starting college. Best of luck

  313. Jen says:

I was born with a full head of hair, 4 teeth, and long fingernails. Note that I was made in American but born in Germany. German nurses did not cut my nails or wrap my hands so I scratched my face all night and my mother refused to believe the “monster” child presented to her the next day was hers. (I’ve often wondered myself if perhaps there was a mix up.) Teeth fell out, got regular baby teeth, then adult teeth. Hair, well, even though I was born with it I seem to have been at the end of the line and all they had left was STICK STRAIGHT WON’T HOLD A CURL, FINE AND THIN. Since that was all they had left that’s what I got–a LIFETIME of BAD HAIR, no matter what I do product or device wise. I was also born tongue-tied, which can contribute to failure to thrive, but Mother some how convinced the Docs to clip it (runs in the family) even thought they didn’t believe it.

Karen I am so happy that BG Connor has arrived–as difficult a trip as it was for both of you!!! WOW!!! Hope you know we were all pulling for you. I am surprised that Kaiser waited so long to do a C-Section.

Welcome to new Novato Girl Connor! Long may Princess Connor reign!

  314. Oli says:

    I was born with hair

  315. brenda disimone says:

Today i bought a clarisonic at sephora, i shop there weekly !

  316. marlena says:

I last recommended Nars’ tinted moisturizer, mainly because of the formula and shade choices. Congratulations Karen!

  317. Leticia says:

I was born with no hair:( But it grew in pretty nicely.

  318. Debbie says:

    Congrats on the new baby!

  319. Michelle says:

Hello!! I’ve recently became a makeup junkie. I was always avoiding stores like Ulta and Sephora … I just couldn’t get myself to pay $54 for an eye pallete. I was content buying drug store products. Now … I LOVE sephora and ulta and can say I know what all the hype was about. The last product I bought was an Younique moodstruck pallete … which I’m still on the fence about. However, I’d recommend Urban Decay naked 2 pallete to anyone who wants to listen.

  320. Sylvia says:

Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl!! I had a MC on Wednesday and even tho I was only 7 weeks, it hit me pretty hard. I cried when I read that your baby was born, not because I was envious but because I was truly happy for you. You are going to make an excellent mother Karen!! This is an attest that wishes do come true and mine will come true when it’s time!! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

  321. Johanna says:

Your daughter is adorable! I just purchased Urban Decay’s eye shadow primer.

  322. Jessica says:

Were you born with hair or without? With a lot of hair that went straight up!
Whatโ€™s the best makeup brush cleanser? I like Cinema Secrets and then soaping it up with the Beauty Blender Cleanser or another brush soap.
Would you rather wear earrings, a necklace or a bracelet? Necklace
Whatโ€™s the last beauty product you enthusiastically recommended to someone? ABH lipglosses
How many piercings do you have? 0
Whatโ€™s the last piece of makeup you bought? I pre-ordered the Manny MUA palette

  323. Katherine says:

I just bought Bite Beauty lipsticks because I can’t get enough of them. I made a custom lipstick from Bite Beauty’s Lip Lab a few months ago. I don’t want to use it all the time because it might run out so I’ll distract myself with their other awesome lipsticks! ๐Ÿ˜€

  324. Wren says:

The last piece of makeup I bought was the Becca Backlight Priming Filter and I LOVE it. My skin has been dry and dull lately with winter and it just lights up my face. Very happy ๐Ÿ™‚

  325. Kelsey Gardiyash says:

The last makeup products that I bought were the Tarte Lip Paints and I am OBSESSED! I love the shade Namaste.

  326. Katie says:

My current skin cleanser is by Neutrogena, it’s their natural cleanser. I use this with a konjac sponge! Love it!

  327. meka says:

I would definitely rather wear earrings. I feel so naked without them.

  328. Camila says:

Many congrats on the birth of your daughter!

  329. Valerie C. says:

The last beauty product I recommended was the Eve Pearl primer. It’s wonderful! Congratulations on the birth of your sweet daughter <3

  330. Karla Fdz says:

My last makeup purchase was a Laura Mercier coral lipstick. I’ve been loving creamy formulas and the Laura Mercier are one of the best.

  331. Alison haynes says:

Congrats on baby Connor!!!! I’m due in 5 weeks with my little girl. So exciting:)

  332. Diana A. says:

    Congrats on the bebe!

  333. Jennifer says:

Sephora in a hospital sounds like an awesome idea!!

  334. Kathy T says:

I’d rather wear a necklace! Earrings take way too long to put on for me and bracelets seem to make my wrists itchy.

  335. Sally says:

    Congratulations! Welcome Connor Claire!

  336. judyo says:

2 GOOD PIERCINGS (one in each earlobe) and another in the right earlobe (now closed) which made me cry onstage at a modeling gig years ago.

  337. susan says:

    Just bought some BB cream.

  338. Michelle says:

Congratulations on going home with your new little girl. Connor Claire is a positively adorable girl with an adorable name. The last makeup I purchased was the Urban Decay XX Vice Reloaded palette from Ulta.

  339. Veronica Torres says:

Hi, so this is kind of random for this blog post but I just wanted to say that I came upon your blog post on chin acne a few weeks ago and for some reason yours just stuck out to me out of the hundreds ( and i mean hundreds) of articles I read. I picked up the kate sommerville antibacterial lotion and the neutrogena acne face wash and its actually made a difference in this short time. I didnt get the other two products just because I’m in college and it’s a little pricey but I’ve found alternatives that are similiar and work pretty well! I also have those painful underground pimples as well as normal whiteheads and blackheads along my jawline and chin. It was so frustrating every morning waking up and seeing a new pimple or no progress at all, but it seems to be getting better and it’s pretty much thanks to your tips. Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu ๐Ÿ™‚

  340. Karen says:

โ€ขWere you born with hair or without? Born with hair but not like my younger sister – she had a mop of hair when she was born!

โ€ขWhatโ€™s the best makeup brush cleanser? I’m actually not sure what it’s called but it’s a blue liquid in a bottle and it’s amazeballs. That’s a word, right?

โ€ขWould you rather wear earrings, a necklace or a bracelet? I’m a bracelet person ๐Ÿ™‚

โ€ขWhatโ€™s the last beauty product you enthusiastically recommended to someone? Hourglass Veil primer. I love this stuff. Makes my face so soft – sometimes I just wear it without any foundation or anything! I’m a huge fan.

โ€ขHow many piercings do you have? None. I’m super afraid it will hurt like crazy lol…

โ€ขWhatโ€™s the last piece of makeup you bought? Last piece of makeup I bought was an eyeliner pencil. My brown had died and I needed a new one. I haven’t bought a lot lately because my mother-in-law likes to send me new things she’s tried and my husband signed me up for a three month trial of Birchbox so I’ve been experimenting. Plus, I’ve been getting into Korean beauty and not wearing a full face of makeup lately.

  341. Mylinda says:

Definitely earrings. Was it Nora Ephron with that book? I hate my neck or something? Yeah, I’m there. And in case I need to write something with, you know, pen and paper and not on my device, sometimes bracelets get in the way. But earrings? Never.

  342. Inspersia says:

The last item of makeup I purchased was the Too Faced Love Flush Blush wardrobe – love it!

  343. Angela says:

This is so gennneeroouus! I usually wear watch + ring. I find bracelets in the way of my typing and my ears are too sensitive to earrings!

    Fingers crosseed!

  344. Sharon M says:

Thank you for the giveaway (and I can’t believe you’re holding one so quickly after Connor Claire’s birth!).

Hair — I had a full head of brown hair when born, and it promptly fell out leaving me a towhead when some finally grew back in. Every photo from toddler and early childhood shows me with blonde hair. Unfortunately, it darkened to mousy brown over the years.

Last item of makeup was a Marcelle Lux lipgloss in fuchsia. It has the nice side effect of leaving a pretty pink stain after the gloss wears off.

I would recommend Bite Beauty lipsticks to *anyone* — last spring I bought my first one at Sephora, in Fig, and wear it every day at work. So moisturizing. It got me in trouble at work because it left a mark on my coffee cup which I’d forgotten to wipe off before putting it in the dishwasher. I understand their new formulation isn’t as moisturizing, though.

Just watched the Tabs meets Connor Claire video. Am now dead from cute.

  345. Nina says:

So cute how tabs reacted when Connor whimpered. Total wth moment!

  346. alejandra says:

Would you rather wear earrings, a necklace or a bracelet?
    – A Necklace, i have so many which are so sentimental to me from family!

Whatโ€™s the last beauty product you enthusiastically recommended to someone?
    – the profusion contour, highlight, blush palette

How many piercings do you have?
    – 2 (1x each ear)

Whatโ€™s the last piece of makeup you bought?
    – Maybelline Fitme Matte foundation

  348. Sara munIz says:

I would rather wear earrings ๐Ÿ™‚

  349. Hillary says:

I always wear a necklace and earrings, but rarely ever a bracelet. The last product I recommended I think was probably Kate Somerville skin products in general. They’re great! And I was born with hair! Congratulations!

  350. Kelsey says:

I have 6 piercings! 5 in my ears, and 1 in the back of my neck. The back of my neck had 2, as a pair, but one of them rejected and I had to remove it. ๐Ÿ™ I couldn’t get it repierced right away because I was pregnant at the time…but the tech said I also shouldn’t pierce while breastfeeding. Soooo…I’ll have 1 funny-looking neck piercing for over a year. Oh well! ๐Ÿ™‚

  351. Nikolina says:

    I’d rather wear a bracelet, though I don’t wear much jewelry…

As for the questions, I was born with a FULL head of hair!

  357. Kim says:

So glad you got a solid 4 hours! There will be ups and downs in your sleep schedule for the next few months but remember to nap, nap, nap every time Connor does. And, just a reminder, no one cares if your house is clean. Sleep first! ๐Ÿ™‚

  358. CaReese says:

I was born with hair. But interestingly enough, I did not like milk as a baby. I drank it (I didn’t have any other options!) but my mother said I preferred water. To this day I do not like milk. I still love water ๐Ÿ™‚

  359. Andrea says:

I was born with (very patchy) hair!
The only jewelry I wear on a daily basis is my watch, so I guess a bracelet?
The last beauty product I recommended was my MAC lipstick in Twig.
    I have no piercings.
Last piece of makeup I bought: Buxom Lash Mascara

Hope you are enjoying some well-deserved time off with Connor Claire!

  360. Astrild says:

I don’t have any picture being a newborn so I really don’t know if I had hair or not. I’ll ask my mother…

My last beauty purchase? Well, I went a little crazy with the MAC Flamingo Park Collection.

  361. Chelsea says:

I finally treated myself with the Tartelette in Bloom palette! I have enough neutral palettes for sure, but I couldn’t pass it up!

  362. Ruchita says:

So glad you and Connor are back home. Hope things are going well! ๐Ÿ™‚

  363. Michelle Comeslast says:

Congrats! I was born with a full head of hair. Last beauty purchase, I picked up Mac Perky paint pot. I hope they make it permanent, but sine it is listed as LE, I picked up 2. Nice peach for the lids. Circling Chanel’s Malice next.

I was born with hair and hope my baby will be too! Sephora carts in the hospital ward would be amazing. Even a little vending machine would do!

  378. Pamela Haddad says:

Hope everything went well with baby girl and Mr. Tabs! When I was brought into my mom, she says she just woke up from the anesthesia and swore they switched babies. Her hair was black, dad’s blonde and me, bright orange. I used to think maybe there was a mix-up, but now I definitely have my mom’s long thin nose. Hope you have lots of fun as a new mommy and that you can get 5 hours of sleep tonight.

  379. Vanessa says:

Congrats on your new baby girl! <3

    I love wearing necklaces ๐Ÿ™‚

  393. Heather E. says:
