You’ve heard of lash extensions, right? Where they glue false lash fibers to the ends of your natural lashes to make them look longer and more lavishly luxuriant?
How about brow extensions?
Yes, girl! You knew it was coming eventually, but brow extensions are now officially a thing.
In the process, a brow technician glues teeny, tiny fibers (I read somewhere that some salons use natural hair) either on your existing brow hairs and/or the skin around them, and then BA-BING! BA-BAM! — you have fuller, fluffier, bangin’ brows that are presumably #onfleek, or something of the sort.
I would certainly hope that the “fleek” would be on, because brow extensions run between $150 to $200!
They’re a temporary thing, of course, usually lasting up to three weeks, but probably less if you exercise often (I guess the sweat breaks down the glue?).
If I HAD to choose one…I’d go with the brow extensions. Although I’ve been tempted by lash extensions before (oh, to wake up and have real lashes like a REAL girl!!), I’m very sensitive when it comes my eyes, and I just have a feeling that I’d notice them all the time or see them peeking out of the corner of my eye and would want to rip ’em out.
I don’t see that happening as much with the brow extensions, so that’s my choice.
Plus, I think it would be cool to not have to futz with my brows! Even if it’s just for a few weeks.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I have the craziest long eyebrow hairs ever, so I’ll take the lash extensions, thanks! 🙂
sarahc says
I would do slightly longer lashes if they do that but what would brow extensions even look like??
Chelsea says
My brows aren’t that bad, so I’d go lashes, assuming they don’t irritate my eyes. I need to return the mascara I bought most recently, grrr.

GEEK FACTOID:
Brow extensions aren’t new!
historically, mouse hair was used!
Angela Bonanza says
I have fairly short, blunt eyelashes, so I’d go with lash extensions all the way!! I also have relatively sparse eyebrows, but those don’t bother me as much – I would just love to wake up with magically full and lush eyelashes one day haha!
Edith Parker says
I think this says something about the age of your reading population. Once you reach a certain age, which for me appears to be 45, your eyebrows start to disappear. It’s alarming! So I’m going eyebrow extensions so I can stop drawing the stupid things on! One day my vision is going to go and I’m going to end up looking like Joan Crawford!! LOL
Lauren says
You look GORGEOUS!! Perfect makeup…I want it all!!
Uhh since I pay to have my brows threaded, and wear 500 coats of mascara, I’d get the lash extension any day!
Tatiana says
I have the opposite problem of Edith. As I’m aging I find I’m getting these really long, gray Santa Claus hairs in my brows. I trim them but then they stick up at odd angles. So the only thing I do to my brows is to run a tinted, super strong hold gel through them.
My lashes on the other hand are thinning. So give me lash extensions any day. Actually, I just need to work up enough nerve to try applying false lashes. Nothing dramatic. Just to fill my sparse ones in.

I already have unruly brows .. lol. Could use amazing lashes though !!
Monica.

Definitely eyelashes. My eyebrows are already crazy long and still pretty full. Eyelashes can never be too long, though, right? The only issue might be the glue they use: I tend to be allergic to adhesives.
Karen says
Hi Rachel,
So jealous of your full brows! My right brow fades into nothing three fourths of the way through (I blame the ’90s, LOL!).
I hope you had a nice day. 🙂
Rachel R. says
I didn’t pluck in the 90s, thank goodness. I should have waxed them some, though. I went the Brooke Shields route till 5-6 years ago. 🙂 My mom naturally has almost no tail to her brows. She always shaved off what little bit she had and just drew in a new one with pencil.
Have a wonderful (rest) of the day!
Becca says
So want Khaleesi eyebrows so I’d go with brows. Used to be me wanting eyelashes…..those you can fake with good mascara anytime or extensions after seeing Kim K. But the real beauty of all is Dany Stormborn!!!!
Karen says
When you’re riding a dragon you look so much more legit with bold brows! 🙂
Debbie says
Just to clarify, lash extensions are attached to the base of your lashes, not the ends 😉
I have the volume ones, and absolutely love love love them! Just came back yesterday from 10 days in Bali, didn’t have to wear mascara or any other eye makeup, but still looked polished, and had dark, full lashes (mine are quite blonde on the ends).
BTW: long time reader, first time poster – all the way from Australia – waving at you all!!!
Karen says
Interesting! When I went in for a consult a couple years ago the person who I spoke with said that they’re attached to tips. I guess it depends on the salon.
Hi right back at you from California, Debbie!
Debbie says
Hmmm, that’s weird! That (I think) would be too heavy and you’d see the glue…
Forgot to mention, I am (also) a crazy cat lady! I have two babies, Jett and Jemima. Poor Jett developed a horrible skin condition whilst I was away – luckily they board at the vet, who took great care of him 🙂
Love reading about Tabs’ adventures.

I already have sustainably good eyebrows so I’d prefer taking the eyelash extensions, please! 😀
Brittany says
With eyelash extensions, your lashes take a couple growing cycles to return to their original state. With eyebrow extensions I would assume the exact same thing to happen. I already have unruly and “lush” eyebrows so I would definitely prefer to boost the fullness of my eyelashes. Also, during the grow back period, eyelashes could be an option or fiber mascara.
Brittany says
What I should have said was that false eyelashes or fiber mascara could be options during the grow back period that follows with eyelash extensions. Oops
Anastassia says
I would do lash extensions.
Fancie says
I would definitely go with the lash extensions. I apply falsies every time I do my makeup since my lashes are so short. I could really use both but I’d definitely rather just fill in my brows than have to fuss with falsies lol
LindaLibraLoca says
Ivoted for lashes, but to be honest I´ll probably go for neither. They are just so much fuzz to keep up with!
Kwmechelle says
Lashes all the way! My brows are kinda full, though not as thick as they used to be, but I’m all about tat “Bambi” lashes life 🙂
Erin says
Lashes for sure! My brows are modestly full and are easily bushy if I want them with product.
Sun says
Although I’d love fuller brows and longer lashes, I wouldn’t do either! I know of too many women who have had lash extensions done and when the false lashes fall off, they take the natural lashes with them, leaving them shorter and sparser lashes. If that’s what happens with lashes, it probably also happens with brows. No thanks.
