I can do many things quickly, but showering isn’t one of them. I’m probably at about a 12, to be honest.
There’s all the regular things I like to do — exfoliating and shaving all the hairy bits — and I have long hair, so that takes a long time too, yadda, yadda, yadda.
But I also kind of like to just spend time in there daydreaming. I think it’s very therapeutic. I stand there under the warm water and let my mind wander, or sometimes I sing or think back to old memories or carry on a complete conversation with myself…
In terms of vices, I don’t think it’s a really bad one.
So, yeah. I spend about 30 minutes when I’m on my regular dilly-dallying schedule, but if I’m trying to hustle, I can get that down to 15.
How about you? On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being forever and a day, how long are you in the shower?
And do you have a shower radio or a fancy shower head or any other shower accouterments? Inquiring minds want to know.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Looooooooooooooong, lol… 🙂 I mean, between the double washing and the conditioning and the scrubbing and the shaving and the just enjoying it all I easily spend a good 20, often 30 minutes in the shower. That said, that is only on days that I wash my hair. On my in-between days I’m in and out in less than five minutes. So that compensates…right? 🙂

15. Lol. I shower during the evenings so I’m not late for work.
Shannon says
Usually takes me 10-15 minutes, unless I’m shaving – then bump it up to 20.
That’s mostly because I’m hustling in the morning to get ready for work, though. I have dreams about showering at night and taking all the time I want… but my hair tends to go super wonky when I shower at night, le sigh!

First- I LOVE a HOT shower. My husband thinks I am crazy for bathing in the temperature that I do but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am in there at least 15 minutes, unless I am in a huge hurry. Some evenings, I love to lay in the tub, listen to some Spotify, take in all the fragrances and then turn the shower on and rise off. It is relaxing and invigorating all at the same time. The kittehs love to watch me in lay in the tub.. Who knew bathing could be such a spectator sport(creeps!)?
Karen says
It’s funny that you mention the kitties being such pervs, LOL! Tabs likes to watch me when I go to the bathroom first thing in the morning. It’s SO WEIRD.

Lucy does the same thing.. HA!

Not sure how to measure it on a scale of 1 to 10, but I spend 5-10 minutes in the shower, 15 max if I’m shaving my legs. Got into drought, water saving mode over the summer and I’ve just been continuing it since it saves us a lot of $$ on our water bill. It helps that I have short, fine hair. We have a hand held shower (with a wall mount) with a separate temperature control, so I can turn off the water while shaving or lathering up without losing the warm water.

I’m a quick showerer. Rarely more than 10 minutes. Baths though, I’ll stay in a bath for an hour. We have a jacuzzi tub that I love.
Karen says
Oh gosh, if we had a tub that I love I’d never leave that thing. I’d be in there 24/7! One of my dreams is to have a claw foot tub that’s deep enough to practically swim in. #someday I bet that jacuzzi tub is great for getting any knots out of your back, huh?

I actually noticed how long it took me this morning – 10 minutes and I washed my (albeit short) hair. On days when I don’t wash my hair, it’s probably more like 5 to 7 minutes. I don’t really stay in there too long.

Ever since I had my second kid…I will spend a good thirty or forty minutes in there, I don’t even care there’s a drought on. LOL Mama just needs her alone time.
Karen says
LOL, Kazari! Sometimes I go in there to escape, too. I only have Connor and Tabs but between them I always have someone hanging off of me. How old are your kids?

I’m like a 2. Except at night; then a 4-5. I looove showering at night and going to bed clean. So yummy. I shower 3-4x a week; I’m kind of continental that way. So it’s not a daily ritual.

1.
There are different levels.
If I’m not so dirty, I can be in and out in 2 minutes.
If I’m doing my hair, 10-15 minutes. So a 5.
Karen says
A 2-minute shower! You’re my hero. 😀
Erin says
5 to 10 minutes when I’m not doing any deep conditioning, scrubs, or shaving. If I’m doing those 15 to 20. I’m pretty quick normally. I multitask and try to conserve water.
Efrain says
Depends of the time I got if I shave my face (I have problems with deciding if I should specify what do I shave), exfoliate, wash my hair and put body lotion I get out in thirty minutes. But if I’m running late I only get wet and wash my face, intimate parts, armpits and feet to be fresh and that’s in less than 5 minutes, I know it’s TMI but I have to describe it.

An average before work shower for me is 15 min, but on a day off or if I have to wash my (long) hair/shave/exfoliate and basically do everything I can be in there for 30-40 min.
I try to spread different tasks over different days so I’m not in there as long. I wash my hair 2-3x a week, in the winter I shave every other day or trade off legs/arms, etc. If I spread it out, it takes less time per shower.
I don’t want to rush in there. I like to relax and enjoy it!
Celeste says
30-40 minutes generally, what with the shaving, scrubbing, shampoo, and conditioner. I don’t think that’s running terribly long but then my hair is very thick, waist length, and curly so most of that is spent struggling to get the conditioner in! Once it’s in and my hair is pinned up everything seems to go pretty efficiently. I shower at night, a couple times a week. Dry skin, dry hair, Canada… :/
In the summer I might spent an hour and a half once a week doing the exfoliation, shaving, and self tan routine.
