Weekend obsessions: spaghetti tacos, old school Benefit and hello! — is that Jared Leto?!
Don’t laugh, but late last night I ran to Target just so I could get everything I’d need to make spaghetti tacos for lunch today. Thank you, New York Times, for opening my eyes to the wonderful world of pasta-filled crispy corn shells.
They are GENIUS!
El Hub hasn’t quite gotten behind the idea yet, but he’ll come around. His primitive male brain just needs to make the leap from spaghetti to taco. It’s really simple though. Spaghetti + taco = taste bud nirvana.
Throw a little Nutella on that and…just kidding. 🙂
After my spaghetacos, I think I might pull out some old permanent line favorites from Benefit that I haven’t tried in a while — Erase Paste ($26), Some Kind-a Gorgeous ($28) and 10 Bronzing & Highlighting Face Powder Duo ($28).
Do you use any of these? They’re products that I’ve heard a lot about from other women but never really fell hard for the first time around. I feel like giving them another try.
How do you feel about Benefit in general? Every time I visit the counter at Macy’s it’s one of the busiest ones in the store (and looks like it’s getting busier every day). Tell me about it, or anything else, in this week’s open thread.
If you’re new to the open thread, here it is in a nutshell:
It’s a chat fest where we wax philosophic about spaghetti tacos, boys, books, movies, makeup, TV and pets, among other topics. You name it, really.
Stop by whenever you can this afternoon or tonight. I’ll be there in a minute. I just have to load up another spaghetaco and refill my tea…
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Marian (‘sup, girl!), thanks for the link to selfOblivion’s YouTube video. It’s the coolest thing I’ve seen all weekend!
Have you seen this yet? This girl does a Jared Leto cosplay, and I swear to gawd it’s amazing. The resemblance is uncanny! She does some very interesting things with shading that really bring the look to life.
makeup morsels says
hahaha the second I saw spaghetti tacos in the post title, I got really excited. so they turned out well then? I’ll have to try this myself soon. Right now, I’m trying to hunt down Milani Dress Maker (from the pictures I’ve seen online, it looks like a really good dupe for Chanel Jade). The only problem is that I can never find it…
Karen says
They turned out NOM! I can’t wait to eat them again.
I’ve heard about the Dress Maker dupe. I haven’t seen it in person, but I have a friend who has it, and she told me that it’s similar but not exact.
makeup morsels says
OMG I can’t believe I forgot to tell you about this earlier, but one of my mom’s friends made me a freaking NUTELLA PIE!! It was a billion times better than chocolate cream pie. I thought I was dreaming when I saw it.
I originally thought Claire’s Dreamcatcher was a dupe, but it’s darker. Dress Maker on the other hand, I can tell a slight difference from a close distance, but they’re so close (once again this is only from the pictures online) that I’d be happy with it.
Karen says
That sounds delicious! I’m not usually a chocolate cream pie person, but a Nutella version sounds so good.
yiota says
Ooh I need to try a regular taco first! haha.. yes, i’ve never had a taco. ever.
Ok so I need all of your help!! I’m going clubbing in a few hours, soo I’m wondering what makeup look I should do. I was thinking of either a smokey eye or a purple look.. but any other ideas are welcome! I have brown eyes, in case you’re wondering..
Thank you!
yiota says
Oh forgot to mention, I’m thinking of buying the Prolongwear foundation by MAC.. what are your thoughts on that?
Terri says
What about a smokey purple eye?
Karen says
Hmm, depends on how much dancing you anticipate on doing. Will you be sweating up a storm? I know when I go clubbing I dance like no one’s watching (LOL), so in general I stay away from smokey looks because it all just sweats off. I vote for a strong cat eye with a long-wearing liquid or gel liner and some fun false lashes. Maybe a bright matte pink lip too!
yiota says
Ahh i already did my makeup! loll
and i chose to go with the smokey eye! It’s annoying though because the grey always fades away even though i have a primer on! grr..
I’ll go with the cat eye next time!
Karen says
Just try not to get too sweaty, LOL!
What kind of music will they be playing? Have fun!
Terri says
Hi Karen! I hope you are having a good weekend.
My feelings on Benefit are mixed. I really like some of their products (their creaseless cream shadows and lip glosses are both great), but I’ve had problems with the skincare line and the tinted moisturizer. The face wash I got from them is very drying, and when combined with the tinted moisturizer, my skin rebelled.
On a different note, has anyone here tried Jasmere? It is like Groupon, but instead of deals in the community, it focuses on finding online specialty retailers. I’ve purchased a couple of vouchers from them, and I’m hooked.
Karen says
Hi Terri,
My weekend’s been good! I just wish it was longer, sigh. How has yours been?
Re: Benefit — have you tried their Silky Finish or Full Finish Lipsticks? I love ’em.
I haven’t heard of Jasmere. I’ll have to check it out because I gotta start doing holiday shopping!
Terri says
Hi Karen,
I’m glad that you’ve had a good weekend! Do you get tomorrow off? I’m technically not in the office, but I have a pile of papers that need grading 🙂
I haven’t tried any of Benefit’s lipsticks, but I really want to. I’m particularly intrigued by the review of Sugar Cookie you did – I love a pretty, peachy lipstick.
I really like Jasmere, and I’ve gotten some vouchers for some great stuff from it. So far, I purchased some skincare from Terralina and some awesome (and cute) reusable shopping bags that are super portable.
Karen says
I wish! I’ve got some writing to do, so no day off for me, sigh. Are the papers you have to grade interesting?
I hope you give Sugar Cookie a go. It’s been my go-to girl for days I don’t want to think too hard, LOL!
Off to check out Jasmere… you know I love a good deal. 🙂
Terri says
The papers are pretty interesting. I don’t mind giving comments or feedback on papers, but I hate assigning the actual grade.
I hope you have a good day tomorrow, even if you have to work :(. How is your weather in California? Fall is here in Boston (thank goodness – I love sweater weather!).
Karen says
Thank you! I hope you have a fab day too… although I’m with you, assigning the actual grade would not be my favorite part of the process.
The weather out here has been really nice. Today it was sunny and 80 degrees!
Courtney says
Those tacos sound amazing!
I actually love benefit. I use erase paste every day I use makeup. I find it’s creamy, but not to creamy that it just slides off. I also just bought coralista so far so good
Karen says
Spaghetti tacos are the bomb.com. I seriously wish I thought it up — the contrast of the noodles against the crunch of the shell is perfect. 🙂
Do you set your Erase Paste with a powder? I’ve seen Benefit artists use Camoflauge…
Courtney says
Nope. I’ve got their powder on the Christmas list though!
Karen says
Ooh, I haven’t tried Get Even! You’ll have to let me know if it’s good. 🙂
Michelle says
I haven’t tried Benefit. I’ve wanted to try a few things . . . but I keep getting sidetracked. I have spent way too much money on Chanel . . . I just can’t help it!
Off topic — what are you favorite bronzers from MAC? I don’t like a frosty or shimmery bronzer and I love a more golden brown so it doesn’t look muddy. Any suggestions??
Terri says
Michelle – I’ve been using Benefit’s One Hot MInute (http://www.benefitcosmetics.com/Benefit-one-hot-minute/dp/B002JLVVII) and I think it works really well as a bronzer. It isn’t too shimmery, and I find that I can use it for everyday.
Karen says
Hey guys,
I reviewed One Hot Minute when it first came out. If anybody’s interested in seeing swatches or reading the review it’s here:
Benefit Cosmetics One Hot Minute Loose Powder: Instant J. Lo Glow
Hope this helps!
Karen says
Hi Michelle,
I’m guilty of getting sidetracked by Chanel too. 🙂 What’s your favorite Chanel piece as of late?
Regarding bronzers, my favorite golden brown is NARS Laguna. It does have shimmer in it but it’s very subtle. I also like Benefit Hoola, but depending on the skin tone it can look more like a warm orangey brown rather than a golden brown!
Michelle says
I am loving Chanel glossimers. I have a lovely little collection of 6, but at the rate I’m going . . . I’m gonna need more makeup storage! I just ordered Magnolia l/s, Insouciante l/s, Pailletes glossimer, the Mystic Eyes quad, and Rose Petale blush (hellur, can I get a grip??). And now I want the holiday quad, too . . .
Thanks for the heads up on the Nars Laguna. I’ll have to give it a go!
Sarahc says
I concur! It’s too easy to spend too much on Chanel. That company just needs to have a sale already. Can you imagine a friends and family sale at Chanel?? Get out da way, bitches!
Francesca says
Whoah! A character on the Teen Nick show iCarly makes them!
Karen says
Yup, the article in the NY times went into all that.
kali says
LOL Spaghetti Tacos are from iCarly -I read an article about them earlier this week too. My brother and sister love the show and I do too! Hmm.. about Benefit, I like some of their products but they seem a little more expensive than other brands at Sephora. When I think Benefit, I think great packaging though. Their boxes are always so pretty and eye catching.
Karen says
Yup, I know. The article I read talked about how the idea actually started out as a gag… the script writer put it in as a joke!
Tracy says
Hey Karen!
I’m definitely going to try spaghetti tacos-we do Taco Tuesday at my house! 🙂
I’m with Terri on Benefit—some stuff I love like the Creaseless Cream shadows, BadGal Lash, Posietint, High Beam, but then some things I just don’t get like most of the box blushes/face tints like Coralista, Sugarbomb. I’m pale and I find that I don’t get any colour payoff, just shimmer. I think the only box one I like is Dallas. I found Erase Paste just too thick for me, and didn’t care for the 10 bronzer/highlighter either. But some people really love them!
Karen says
Hi Tracy!
I had them for lunch today. I made a veggie version with Morningstar veggie “sausage” and they were delicious!
Regarding the box blushes, have you tried Thrrrob, Georgia or Dandelion? I have pale friends who love ’em.
Terri says
Hi Karen,
Sorry for the off-topic post, but I think my comments may be stuck in the spam filter again 🙁
Karen says
Thanks for letting me know, Terri! Should be good now. 🙂
Nina says
I read about Spaghetti Tacos somewhere this week too!
Today we had a lazy-ish day (Fri & Sat were busy for me bec of a wake/funeral I had to go to) …
I walked to my fave Mexican bakery and got some cake and breads, got lost a little bit in the process. LOL.
I watched the SNL I DVR’d from last night and im asking myself which rock ive been hiding under because I kinda liked Bruno Mars (they were the musical guest LOL) … 😀
Karen says
LOL, you might have read about them here! I mentioned them a few days ago… yes, I’m obsessed.
I’m sorry you had to go to a funeral. 🙁 Are you okay?
As for Mexican cakes and breads… sign me up for a slice of tres leches cake, please.
Nina says
i have another slice of tres leches chillaxin’ in the fridge — help yourself! i got this new bread thing (new to me at least) that was a glazed puff pastry with sweet cream cheese in the middle – OMG soooo good!
now IM obssesed w/ that concoction. im gonna make them this coming weekend (if we dont end up going to austin for a short break) … i still have to make the peanut butter/nutella covered rice krispie treats! 😀
the funeral was sad. while the person who passed wasnt really a relative, i was really close to their family. one of them asked me to take some photos of the funeral service/mass. tough but i had to do it. 🙂 im good now. yesterday i was sad.
Karen says
I will gladly gobble up that piece of cake. 🙂
Did you get the peanut butter/nutella rice krispie idea from Top Chef Just Desserts? I just saw an ep where one of the chefs made something like that for a bake sale. El Hub is super obsessed with the idea.
Funerals are always rough. I’m very sorry for your loss.
Nina says
Yep thats exactly where I got it from …. it looked awesome and the hubs is a huge fan of rice krispie treats! 🙂 The thing w/ the recipe is you make the rice krispie treats and let it sit overnight – the hubs is not a fan of waiting. 😛
Thanks. That really means a lot. 🙂
Karen says
I’m with your man — NOT a fan of waiting for yummy sweets!! 🙂
You’ll have to let me know how it turns out.
Terri says
My favorite food site has an excellent recipe for salted brown butter crispy treats: http://smittenkitchen.com/2009/11/salted-brown-butter-crispy-treats/
Karen says
Those look incredible!
I’m majorly craving Rice Krispies treats now.
Nina says
ill make the rice krispie treats on friday night – that way it will be ready to be frosted and glazed on saturday! 😀

I’m a total BeneFit addict! I’ve used their products here and there in the past but i’ve gotten HOOKED once I started going to my local BeneFit boutique to get my eyebrows & lashes tinted. I love, love, love their creaseless cream shadows (better than MAC paint pots, imo), Ultra Shines, Some Kind-A Gorgeous, Stay Don’t Stray & That Gal. However…a few thing just did not agree with my skin. You Rebel Lite made my skin red & itchy and Depuffing Action Eye Gel & Eyecon made my under eye area burn like crazy. I do not like the silky or full finish lipsticks. 10 was nice but I prefer Dandelion & Hoola. I’ve tried Boing in the past and it’s too cakey/dry for my dry skin – maybe I should give Erase Paste a try (I have to return the Time Balm concealer I recently bought because it’s too heavy and I have trouble getting it to blend nicely into my skin).
I’ve taken 2 of my 3 Chanel SoHo products for a whirl and I LOVE them! As soon as I can get to my local nail salon I’m going to put Strong on my toes. I also just ordered 2 of Dior’s holiday sets from Nordstrom! I’m getting the deluxe travel palette & the small eye palette (I bought the eye palette last year and I find myself reaching for it several times a week for easy eye looks). Can’t wait to get them!
And…spaghetti tacos? No thanks…I don’t think I can mix the 2 textures. Kinda like peas mixed with mashed potatoes – yuck! 🙂
Terri says
Steph – I completely agree with you regarding You Rebel. When I used it and the Benefit face wash, my skin became very dry and sensitive.
Karen says
I’ve never tried Benefit Tinted Moisturizer… now I’m kinda scared!
Hmm, if you’re not feeling Time Balm you might want to try the new MAC Concealer. It’s got the coverage of Time Balm, but it’s a liquid and easier to blend.
And yay, I’m so glad to hear that you love your SoHo goodies! What’s your fave so far?
snoopysteph says
The MAC prowear concealer is on my list to try! I only really need concealer for the sides of my nose where it gets red & my pores are a little big. I might try it out tomorrow when I’m at Macy’s (it’s Clinique bonus time!). Actually, I have a growing list of things to try at MAC…some “staple” e/s shades (any suggestions?), Nymphette, Studio Fix foundation and blot powder. 🙂
As for the SoHo collection, I’m really loving everything! I almost don’t want to use the blush/highlighter because it just looks so cool. I’m totally hooked on Chanel now which makes my bank account weepy, ha!
Terri says
Studio Fix and Blot Powder are both excellent products. My skin is sensitive and oily (an annoying combination), and both products work well with it. I particularly like Blot Powder, since it keeps my skin from looking like an oil slick and it isn’t cakey.
snoopysteph says
I love Studio Fix! I have dry, sensitive skin and I like the coverage it gives me without drying out my skin even more, especially in the winter. I want to try the Blot Powder as a finishing powder when I use tinted moisturizer or liquid foundation. My skin gets super dry in the winter and I need all the moisture I can get but I hate that greasy feeling you get mid-afternoon.
Karen says
I’d be happy to recommend some shades. What colors do you prefer — warm or cool ones?
And woo hoo for “gateway” Chanel! Mine was the Garden Party Quad… I still love that thing to bits.
snoopysteph says
I tend to pull off cool shades better than warm, but can tolerate some warmness, depending on the color. I’m NW20 but the last time I was at a MAC counter the SA swore I was NC20. So I guess I’m in the neutral zone, ha!
My very first Chanel purchase was the original Vamp nail polish back in 1994 and I still have it!
Karen says
Here are a few staple shades that might work for ya: Satin Taupe, Dazzlelight, Naked Lunch, Brule, Shroom and Carbon!
snoopysteph says
Thanks for the rec’s Karen! Hitting up the MAC counter is like going to the candy store for me. Must….not….buy….everything!
Terri says
Did anyone watch Glee last week? What did you think of it? Overall, I really enjoyed the episode, but I think that it was a pretty risky topic (religion, faith, and the lack thereof) that most people would either love or hate.
On another note, I loved the rendition of “One of Us.”
Karen says
I only caught the last 15 minutes. I really enjoyed the premiere episode but haven’t been feeling the last two eps… I really, really hope the writers start focusing on the story again.
Sarahc says
I thought it was a little corny. Hat’s off to the writers for trying something sooo ambitious and risky, but it came off as preachy to me.
Phyrra says
I wanted to love Some Kind-a Gorgeous but it was too dark and kinda greasy on my skin 🙁 Great concept, just didn’t work for me. I do like Benefit’s high beam and Benetint is cute.
I had a crazy weekend, spent 8 hours in the ER with my husband. He had abdominal pain. After lots of tests, including a CAT scan, they all came back clean, so they don’t really know what caused it and they’re guessing abdominal cramping, so gave lots of meds for that.
Karen says
Hi Phyrra,
I heart High Beam! Have you seen the Travel Sized version at Sephora? It’s so cute, and only $10!
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P272012&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=5333
I hope your hubby is feeling better.
Phyrra says
The travel size is cute! I have the one from that Benefit kit that was like $10. Really tiny, but cute.
Hubby is doing better, but I’m still freaked from the experience.
Mai-Huong says
The only thing that I’ve tried from Benefit is the classic Benetint (which I love, by the way!). Other than that, I can’t really say anything about their products other than I love the packaging, haha!
On another note, I’ve been trying to find way to be nicer to my hair since I’ve been trying to grow it out and donate it. My biggest sin is definitely my flat iron addiction, which I know is terrible. Anyone know of a great hair mask or treatment as well as tips on how to put down the heat tools?
Terri says
I really like H’Suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment from Lush. Frederic Fekkai also has a Shea Butter Hair Mask, which is very moisturizing.
Karen says
Hi Mai-Huong,
Heat is killer. Maybe hit up a stylist that specializes in wash & wear cuts? That way you can just wash your hair, put in some product and then let it air dry.
You could also try a conditioner wash in place of shampoo a few times a week. That really helped get my hair back in shape!
And if all else fails, get some hair doo dads so you can wear your hair up on the days you’re tempted to flat iron.
jenn says
Oh Karen, those tacos just sound so strange!
Karen says
Dude, they sound weird, but they’re REALLY good. Seriously, try it sometime!
Terri says
Does anyone have suggestions for a good face scrub? I loved Clinique 7-Day Scrub, but I’m trying to get away from anything that has microbeads.
Kelley says
apricot scrub has been my BFF since the acne starting days yo give it a try?
snoopysteph says
I love Olay Dual Action Cleanser Pore Scrub!
Although…I’ve learned that you don’t really need to scrub your face to exfoliate. You can use a good AHA or BHA product instead! I use Clinique’s Total Turnaround Concentrate a couple times per week at night and I really notice smoother skin in the morning (helps get rid of blackheads & whiteheads too!).
Karen says
I love BHAs (salicylic acid). I’ve never tried Total Turnaround… will have to get on that, stat!
Clinique also makes a great BHA toner called Mild Clarifying Lotion that’s only $12:
http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/spp/index.tmpl?ngextredir=1&cm_mmc=GoogleProductSearch-_-Null-_-Null-_-Null&CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY14111&PRODUCT_ID=PROD762
Karen says
I love MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator, but unfortunately it’s limited edition.
The Clarisonic Mia is pretty rad too!
steph b says
That Jared Leto video is awesome! It is amazing what some shading will do.
I think Benefit does color products (eyes, lips, blush) much, much better than skin products (skin care, foundations, powders). I tried Rebel and was knocked over by the strong scent. I figured the face poweders would be fabulous because their blushes are gorgeous in both color and texture, but they were really chalky. Dandelion and Georgia are perfect for my pale skin.
That taco rocks! We had a roundup of food carts downtown on Thursday and Friday – about 20 parked in a huge lot. Went with friends and split a lobster roll, a Korean taco, an empanada, and a cupcake.
Karen says
Ooh, what’s in a Korean taco?!
steph b says
There were a couple of differnt types. You pick a protein — bulgogi, ginger chicken, or hoisin tofu and then add regular napa cabbage slaw or kim chee on a corn tortilla. You can top with sriracha, lime crema, sesame seeds or a few other toppings. Fab.
Kelley says
Every time i check out benefits line i love how their products are presented, but im just not sure whether it will preform well. Like is the presentation a guise to hide the lame-ness of the product? lol the line looks fun, but i dunno if i wanna drop the kinda cash it asks for a simple eyeshadow you know?
the last time i was near the counter was after reading your post on the cream shadows (tidal wave 😉 looks good but i dunno ><) yeah 🙂
Karen says
The cream shadows are great! Maybe start off with a shade that you could wear everyday, like Birthday Suit or Skinny Jeans.
Kelley says
good idea, i mean i loved the teal and sparkle but the first thing that popped in my mind was ‘would i wear this everyday?’ lol i shall check that out next time i guess
thanks 🙂
Heidi says
Hi, everyone.
Fun, interesting day today. Went to church this morning, and an old woman who attends there, she’s got to be 80-something, asked if I had time this afternoon to go with her to Macy’s to help her pick out some new makeup. She asked since she said she could tell that I “have good taste.” So, we went to the mall, had lunch first, and then hit up the Clinique counter (that was her brand of choice). We picked out a nice deep plum eyeliner, and a rosy pink blush and lipstick. She was a real blast to shop with and the sales clerk loved her. They were having a gift w/ purchase, so Ingrid (the woman I shopped with) let me keep the gift! Score!
As for the Benefit conversation, I love their scrub, Honey Snap Out of It, Coralista is my most reached for blush, and the eye pencils that came with the Femme Metal kit are fabulous! I also like the Bad Gal mascaras.
Karen says
Hi Heidi,
Sounds like you had a very nice day. Ingrid sounds like a hoot! What was in the gift with purchase?
And aren’t those Femme Metale pencils amazing? I hope they add them to the permanent line.
Sarah says
Spaghetti tacos crack me up! that was quite a write up in the Times last week! I teach high school sociology and we discussed it for a good chunk of class on Friday as part of our unit on popular culture. My slightly sheltered students think that spaghetti tacos are just one step on a slippery slope toward television ruling our lives – I’m not so sure. I hope they were yummy.
Karen says
They were really good. It’s the contrast in texture that makes it genius.
And I think they do less damage to society than Jersey Shore…
inaya says
wow; those do look amazing. hey karen, could you recommend some must have lip colors for a warm toned nc32 from the MAC permanent line? btw, just opened lychee luxe and really loving it for my birthday party later this week
Fieran says
So I had Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadows for awhile – the three colours that Karen once mentioned (I had to ask a friend to get it for me, so I didn’t want to pick anything I hadn’t seen swatched before) – Strut, Skinny Jeans and Birthday Suit. I haven’t really used them much until I picked them up again recently and layered UDPP Eden –> Birthday Suit –> NARS Kalahari.
It was a good look. Birthday Suit made the Kalahari Duo look so much more brown and less shimmery. I lined it with MAC Buried Treasure. It’s so soft and smudge-able. For a moment I was really surprised that I could apply makeup that looked so presentable. Oh Internet, what would I do without you?
So if you girls are looking for a good combination that you can wear to work but not look like you’re going on your way to party, do try this combination.
DonnaN says
Wow, those tacos sound amazing…..I wish I could eat spaghetti (no pasta or rice since the Gastric). But, I wonder what ITALIAN tacos would taste like? Hmmmm
To answer your preggie questions from the previous thread, I am due April 5th. Last night, I got a phone call from my cousin in Frederick, Maryland and SHE’s pregnant too—due almost two weeks after me (April 14th). So, we’ve got two pregnancies in the family at the same time…how COOL, huh?
I think I am gonna keep my hair long….like you recommended. I haven’t had a decent haircut in almost a year, so I’m gonna at least treat myself to that, and maybe consider bangs, for a change in the look.
Now, off to get ready for work this morning……..
Emma says
Hi Karen,
Rooster would like to say thank you for including him on your website and in your email. He’s always wanted to be the Fancy Feast cat (his fav) but since he’s too fat, too big (1/2 Maine Coon) and too orange he will have to wish from afar. Now he thinks he’s famous and is being impossible!
So, I guess that everyone loved the Sonia Kushak (sp?) so much that it’s pretty much sold out. My local target doesn’t have the teal or taupe and I checked online and they’re not there anymore. I shall have to go in search of a similar shade by someone else, tears…
Hope that you enjoyed your weekend.
Emma xx

Hey everyone! I’m in a sour mood today, as I got my Eyeko order but they messed up on the customs form and then the government charged me an extra $20 in taxes and duty. I complained to Eyeko CS and even with photographic evidence they pretty much said I’m delusional and it’s the Canadian governments fault. I’m just so mad as it’s not my fault and now I’m out a significant amount of money to me (I’m a uni student). Bleh. Though thanksgiving here in Canada was wonderful yesterday with my grandmother’s lovely homemade food.
Bronwen says
Have tried benefit some kinda a gorgeous but found it a little orange on me, the smell gets on my nerves too.
P.S.The real Jared Leto pulled me on stage at their cardiff gig back in easter, i almost fainted cos that guy really is fiiiit, even with a mohawk 😛
Summer Staff says
Karen! Did you get this idea from iCarly? Lol!
Alexandra says
I got the erase paste and that gal primer in a set for my birthday last month.
Loving both of them,i love how th primer makes my skin look so dewy 🙂

I’ve had such an up-and-down relationship with BeneFit! I love some of their products to death – their boxes o’ powder, Lemon-Aid (can’t live without it), BeneTint/PosieTint, High Beam/Moon Beam – but some of their other stuff was just a disaster for me, and others were just… blah. I try to get samples or mini-sizes of their stuff before I pay for a full-sized item, just because I find the brand so inconsistent. Fortunately, they’re great about putting out little sampler sets and palettes, so it’s pretty easy to try their stuff before springing for the full product. I wish they were a liiiittle cheaper, too, but ah well ^_^
Also, I’m totally afraid of spaghetti tacos!
