If you’re in the same boat, I’ve got a few ideas… Some of these are gifts I gave to El Hub last year that he really liked (others are things I got for myself and figured, hmm… These might also make good dude gifts!).
Thank you for watching. 🙂

Hi Karen! Those are great gift ideas. I am still hunting for the perfect gift for the husband but it’s kind of tricky as I’ve exhausted most of my options over the past few years.
Speaking of which, have you heard of Everlane? They have some nice gifts like their French Terry sweater and their t-shirts. I got a few of those for the husband recently and he liked them a lot. They also have great backpacks, belts, etc. I have a tote from them and it’s quite sturdy.
Lululemon sweaters are also a favourite of the husband. Sometimes they are discounted by 20 – 30% and can be very reasonably priced. They last a long time and are very comfortable, especially for men who are on the go or love to travel.
Anthony Logistics make a great shaving gel that reduces nicks and bumps. It’s ~20 dollars and a tube lasts for a long time.
Crumpler is another favourite of mine for buying gifts – not just for men. They make sturdy but unique bags and the material they use is waterproof. I have a few bags from there and they have lasted for ages.
Good luck!

Karen, I suspect that you are also moonlighting as a Sephora Mystery Sample Elf. I found it very suspicious (and freaking awesome!) that one of my mystery samples yesterday was the 90s lippie icon Black Honey. You can bet your booty I’m wearing it today. Now I just have to pull that flannel out of the closet!! 🙂

I have not started my Christmas shopping (eek!) but I have some ideas:
– Flannel PJs for lounging around during the holidays
– Warm socks and/or fuzzy slippers (Minnetonka and Dr. Scholls make some that are sturdy enough if you need to step outside for a bit)
– New wallet (places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls have ones from Tommy Hilfger and other brands for good prices)
– If your guy is into mixed drinks or cocktails, a barware set for making drinks at home would be fun. I’ve also seen gift sets of alcohol in mini sizes so you can try different types without buying a whole bottle.

Hmm getting that toothbrush for my man might not be a bad idea, thanks Karen!

Here’s my idea: cook for him. Every guy likes food, right? 🙂

Love the art of shaving stuff! My hubby’s a bit hard to shop for, too – he doesn’t like getting toiletries, even though that’s all I want to get him, haha!
However, I remembered just in time the Board Games and card games can be good presents, for both guys and gals! Some good options:
Cards against humanity, apples to apples, wits & wagers, smart ass, killer bunnies, bang!, time’s up!, and bananagrams are all good party games, and good for large groups.
Other fun (but less “party” and more strategy-based) games are Small World, Agricola, Pandemic, and Dominion (among many, many others).

Dear Karen, I love your blog and your video! I agree with CHRIS25’s idea. My hubby loves Gooey cake and my daughter and I only bake it for him on Christmas… as a special treat! He says it is the best gift ever!

Hahaha! I have to buy Mr. M the “sport” body wash 🙂 He has super sensitive skin too so I’ll have him try my Maracuja Oil for shaving!

I ditched every fool-proof gift idea this year and got pajamas for the husband. Now I’m really not sure if it’s a gift he’ll appreciate but oh well what’s done is done. Maybe I need to add some skincare products here and there in the pants ;).

Lovely video, Lady K! I like how Tabs pops in ;). Great ideas, especially the shaving kit. It’s something that i know the Mr. will use. I also love that he’s not averse to using a hand cream when necessary.
I mostly shop for his gifts on Etsy. A cpl. of my favorite stores are “Cyberoptix” for unique ties and “Clock stock and barrel/ by Katie Blue” for fun clocks made from vintage vinyl records.
