Enter the Makeup and Beauty Blog Buxom Photo Contest to Win a Prize Worth More Than $600

Published in: Buxom, Giveaways, Just For Fun

Ciao, vuoi un gelato?

This series is brought to you by Buxom Color Choreography Eyeshadow. Buxom wants to inspire you to live life vividly.

Got some beauty staples that need restocking?

A collection you’ve been coveting?

A vacation you’ve been wanting to book?

A girl with purple cat ears waits for something, somewhere in the middle of Montana…

Why not do all three? 🙂 Enter the Makeup and Beauty Blog Buxom Photo Contest for a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card.

But wait, there’s more (I always wanted to say that). Because we’re big on beauty ’round these parts, the prize also includes more than $100 in Buxom cosmetics. On top of the gift card, that’s a total prize package worth more than half a grand.

Entering is easy, and the full details are down below, but here’s the gist of it: all you need is a picture of yourself taken at a time when you felt great.

Maybe a travel picture from an exciting trip…

Parisian fountains make everything better

Or something closer to home.

Fisherman’s Wharf, San Francisco

Or, how about a fun time you had with friends?

With my buddy Cindy on our way to Maui

NOTE: Cheesy pics that show you goofing off are totally welcome, too. 🙂

Yeah, we’re vampires. What’s up?

It can also be something makeup or beauty related, like perhaps a pic of that nifty neon mani/pedi you did all by yourself, or a shot of your new highlights. Whatever you choose, it just has to be a picture that shows you “living life vividly,” like the pictures in this post.

For even more entry ideas, here’s a look at all of the entries so far.

Here’s how to enter

  1. Visit www.flickr.com and upload a photo that displays you “living life vividly,” as well as a short caption (200 characters or less) that explains the photo.

  3. Tag it with the following tag:
    • BuxomPhotoContestMakeupandBeautyBlog

I recognise the first picture! it was right taken outside Amorino, my absolute favourite gelato parlour! You should have taken it in a cone though, they make a HUGE flower out of the different flavours that you choose. I just had one yesterday, mmm!

      Hi FS.Rain,

  15. Mary says:

My mom was awesome and when I graduated asked me if I wanted a graduation party or a 3-week trip to South America to see Peru and the Galapagos islands. Obviously, it’s really hard to turn down an offer like that, so this is me hiking up the Incan Sun Trail overlooking Macchu Picchu, one of the new wonders of the world. 🙂

  16. Mary says:

This is my second entry, from when I got to go to Egypt. It was beautiful, I absolutely loved seeing all the magnificent sights. The photo is of me “kissing” the sphinx. Cool story, the sphinx’s head is actually much smaller than the rest of its body and the sculpting is much newer. It is believed that the reason for this is that it was once a much larger lion sculpture carved in the Egyptian “Time of the Lion” and when Pharaoh Khufu began constructing the great pyramids, he decided he was really a big fan of his own face and had the lion’s head carved into his own. Unlike the belief that the sphinx’s nose was lobbed off in some wartime target practice, it is now known that it is more likely the stone wasn’t sturdy enough to be carved any smaller, so Khufu ruined his own nose in having it carved. Shortly after this photo I got a chance to climb up inside the second pyramid, which is among the coolest things I’ve ever gotten to do in my life.

  17. Mary says:

This is another from my trip to the Galapagos, which still remains one of my most life-altering trips. I had some extraordinary experiences, one of which was seeing the giant tortoises in person. There’s a fine in the islands for touching ANY of the animals, so we took this picture to illustrate just how BIG they are!

  18. Tiffanie says:

They told me to do something relaxing during labor so my sister and I did my makeup! What could be more relaxing?!

  19. Tiffanie says:

My sister and I went to Hollywood for a “glamorous” vacation, and it poured the entire time we were there. After a few days of sightseeing, shopping and trying to look cute, we decided to just wear comfortable yellow ponchos and go to Universal Studios. It was one of the most fun days of my life!

  20. Marilyn says:

I’m so excited to enter this contest! Thank you for giving us a longer deadline. I’ve been sick the past week but I have some ideas for my photo entries!

This is my first time commenting on your site (lots of fun to read by the way!) and here’s my entry! Please take a gander!

This second link is the video I described in my photo’s comment. Kinda dorky, but I think you need to see this to fully understand the goofyness of my “vivid” life! ;D

  22. Cassie says:

Sorry to resubmit, but not seeing my three comments here with my three pics. Just want to make sure the links are right and I am in the pool. Part of living life vividly is being patient with technology..ha..Ole! :)Cassie in Reno
