Hi! I’m here at the Emmys in Los Angeles, trying to take as many pics as I can (because, seriously, when am I ever gonna do this again?). If I can get away with it without getting my butt kicked out, I’ll update this post (and Instagram) during and after the telecast, so refresh this page every once in a while. I’ll put the newest stuff at the top.
Update: 11:19 p.m.
Back from the Emmys and the Governor’s Ball and enjoying the best part after a fun and exciting evening — kicking off the shoes and peeling off the lashes. 🙂
Ahh… Thank you for coming along with me on my Emmys journey, and thanks to @dove for the opportunity.
Any day you take a selfie with George R.R. Martin qualifies as a good day for the #100happydays challenge, so shout-out to #day67. Goodnight!

Update: the pre-show getting ready stuff
So! I had absolutely no idea what to do with my hair, but I always feel more comfortable when it’s down (it’s kind of like my security blanket), so when I sat down with hairstylist and makeup artist Jessica Johnston, I told her I was basically up for whatever, and she could just do her thang. As long as we could leave it down, then I was down for whatever.
Jessica and I ended up going for big hair. She did curls, half up, half down, with criss-crossed pins in the back. The curls look a little tight right now, but they should loosen up over time.
While I was in Jessica’s chair I asked her what her all-time favorite, can’t-live-without-it hair styling product is, and she said “Bed Head After Party,” which she said she loves for how shiny it makes hair and how well it tames flyaways (note to self: remember that).
A Jason Voorhees moment…
Oh, gosh. Is it Friday the 13th already? These Jason Voorhees-stle SKII masks are hella pricey, but they’re preternaturally good.
After I do one, I swear my skin looks plumper and, I dunno, hydrated. Good stuff.
This one is from a three-piece Pitera Essential Set available now at Neiman Marcus. If you have a big event to go to, like a black-tie party or wedding, I think they’re pretty great.
