tabs-circleGooood morning, glory! If you have not yet had your Caturday feline fix, allow me to help…

I hope you had a nice night. Mine was pretty chill. We just kept it easy and local with two words: take out.

Wait — I think that’s one word…

El Hub and I got takeout Puerto Rican for dinner because I’d been craving good beans and rice, then came home and checked on our neighbor’s kitty cat and bunny. Yup, we’re on petsitter duty this weekend for their cute orange tabby and little white bunny, and that’s fun. After providing the entertainment for their evening, we rented a pretty good Western on iTunes called Slow West starring Michael Fassbender. Good movie, but not a lot of rainbows and kittens, if you know what I mean…

After that, it was off to bed for this gal!

I’m not sure yet what we’ll do today, but it feels like a good mall day to me. I don’t know what it is, but there’s something in the air. I feel the mall vibes… LOL!

Have a wonderful weekend, my friend, and give yourself a big hug from me and lots of sweet kitty hugs from Tabs. πŸ™‚

I’d rather have 1 million dollars so I can pay off my student loans, buy a house, and live out my life with my family with me. I’d also use any leftover to help someone else pay off their student loans – like a scholarship fund for people who already completed their degrees.

  15. wendy browne says:

My daughter is in cosmetology school and gets sad that she doesn’t have MAC products, so she’d love this card. I tell her not to feel down about not having high dollar items in the beginning, plus you need the high paying clients to justify using top shelf. πŸ˜€

Lipstick over new shoes any day! People don’t always notice new shoes, but they will definitely see your new lipstick!

Since I would be living those 1000 years without the people I love, I’d have to go with the $1 million and financially make the most of it in this standard lifetime haha. As for the new lipstick or shoes–tough, tough call. I normally would have said lipstick hands down, but I’m starting to branch out into ‘fashion’ a little more too. Thanks for making me think this beautiful morning, Karen! Have a wonderful weekend! God Bless!

    Happy Saturday Karen and Tabs,

Today is definitely pedicure day because my feet have been through some rough patches her lately. Good thing I have all the essentials and don’t have to get into the nail salon on rush mode.

    QnA time:

Would you rather live 1,000 years (just you, not your family members) or win a $1 million?

Win a million dollars because at least I could share it with my family. I don’t think I’d like to watch everyone die around me just so that I could live. I’d be very unhappy.

What’s a word you always have a hard time spelling?

Thesaurus. For some reason it takes me a minute to get it together w/ that word.

Have you ever dated someone you met online?

Yes my current boyfriend I met online, and we’ve been together for a year now.

A skin care product you’ve been wanting to try?

The tea tree spray from Lus.

    New shoes or new lipstick?

Lipstick wins every time in my book.

A TV show you would love to see turned into a movie?

Supernatural; one of my favorite shows. That or one of the American Horror Stories.

  38. Debora Brezoi says:

New lipstick! But wait! I love shoes too! No fair, that’s a loaded question! I just recently told you that I ordered the Chanel mascara on another one of your blogs. I’m so excited! I can’t wait for it to come in! I hope it is everything that you have stated and then some… I’m sure bummed about so many others that I’ve tried. I have been liking MAC’s Zoom lash – but it can smudge. I’m such a hard one on mascaras. I’m very picky. Lancome disappointed me too, that was 28$ down the drain. I should have sent it back but I didn’t. That’s what I get for listening to a sales person and not just going with my gut. Anyhoodles did you know it’s national CAT DAY???? I didn’t think you knew…… Happy CAT DAY!!!

  62. Dawn Ward says:

You inspired me to cave in and buy Laura Mercier’s caviar sticks in amethyst and rose gold!

I was totally reading through the questions and got STUCK on shoes or lipstick? Seriously I am not sure I could answer the either/or conundrum. I believe that both are a staple in my daily happiness quotient (well as much as stuff=happy) however, in the end the lippie would win. Instant brightener, instant smile booster and well just because I am a lippie addict (Howdy my name is Sherry). So this is only one of the reasons I come back over and over to your blog. Deep thoughts I tell ya

  77. Erica says:

i always have trouble with “receive” the i before e thing always gets me! lol

  78. Lauren says:

In 1st grade I got caught cheating spelling the word dinosaur. I thought the o and a should be switched! I don’t have trouble spelling this but it drives me nuts hearing: “a whole nother” instead of: “another whole.” As in “that’s another whole story to tell.”

  161. Maggie says:

Would choose shoes over lipstick, just because i already have too many lipsticks…and I have tiny lips so it takes me double the time to use one tube up lol. But in an ideal word, in the perfect day, I would buy a pair of shoes followed by a trip to whatever makeup shop and get a new lippie.

  162. amy pugmire says:

  169. Icequeen81 says:

New shoes, The school Management I work for is very picky about shoe choices they don’t want us to show our toes.
Great and then is where the problem starts I am very short 1.47 wich makes me a small teacher.
I want some platform ballerinas, but I can’t find any. I found a kind of wedges ballerinas with a strap in front. But God they have given me blisters, any closed shoes I have had has given me blisters, flats, high heels all of them. Is horrible. Now I bought them a half size bigger not even then. I need the perfect shoes. Platform shoes where I can stand the whole day on them, but made from a conformable material that won’t give me any blisters and where I can look a bit trendy, I also live on an Island so boots are not an option. Is that soo much to ask? And here the choices are very limited.

I am a reeeeeeally late riser, working nights. Fast forward to now, over a year later, he has to be cajoled to get out of bed. He stretches, rolls over, wants a bunch of cuddling before he gets out of bed . Such a pugsy lazy bones in the morning! Hi Karen, glad to know someone else obsessed with exotic food! And, to be honest, this pelicular obsession takes me to the idea that, if a mysterious magician, one day gave me the opportunity to be a millionnaire or a deca-centenary ( is there even a word for that? ), I would without any doubt choose the first option in order to satisfy my love for exotic food, as well as my family’s! …Oh, and also, maybe a nice house seaside, but this is just a detail… πŸ˜‰
For this reason I wouldn’t say I would choose money over life, but if life has to be partially uncontrollable, money can bring us at less a bit of joy and satisfaction about it!

Thank you for the generous giveaway Karen! Since I just bought the new Urban Decay Bittersweet Matte Lipstick, I could really go for a new pair of shoes. There is a pair of Toms that have been haunting me. A few years ago they had some blue suede ballet flats that I really wanted but never bought. I’m so mad at myself now that I can’t find them. I have long narrow feet. Size 10 with a B width, so it is hard for me to find shoes that fit.

Definitely the million bucks! I plan to die before all my family because life would be awful without them – but the million bucks! Ah – I could pay off my daughter’s house and put away 100,000 each for my three grandkids for their futures (school, etc.) I would pay off my uncle’s house too – no more working two jobs for him! I would pay off my house, too – almost forgot, ha!Then I think I’d take us all on a fabulous vacation. Then I’d like to give about 50,000 to the ASPCA. That would leave me with maybe 200,000 – which I’d save. Money isn’t worth anything if it doesn’t do good things for others.

Skincare? I want to try the new Guerlain Meteorites skincare that I spotted on the Sephora site. Or experiment more with AmorePacific.

Spelling? Restaurant. I dunno why I have issues.

Serious note on the 1,000 years v $1 million: Give me the money, I’d trade it all for 5 more minutes with some of my loved ones. I can’t stomach the thought of living that long without them (and I’m literally welling up at that thought right now).

Would you rather live 1,000 years (just you, not your family members) or win $1 million? I’d much rather have the million dollars! No contest there.

What’s a word you always have a hard time spelling? I’m a pretty good speller. My problem is usually typos. I get letters backwards all the time and hit the [ when I mean p.

Have you ever dated someone you met online? No, but my sister met her husband through an online dating site.

A skin care product you’ve been wanting to try? Verso (Versa?) eye cream. I tried to get a sample at Sephora, but apparently only the ones in ritzy neighborhoods carry it.

New shoes or new lipstick? Lipstick. I’m a sneaker girl all the way.

A TV show you would love to see turned into a movie? Supernatural. I’m a sucker for genre and those Winchester boys need some closure.

  291. Lynda says:

    New shoes. Comfy ones

  292. Ana says:

Would you rather live 1,000 years (just you, not your family members) or win $1 million?
definitely $1 million! I’ve read enough books to know that living forever (or longer than your loved ones) is a curse, not a gift!

What’s a word you always have a hard time spelling?
    Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! πŸ˜€

Have you ever dated someone you met online?

A SKIN CARE product you’ve been wanting to try?
honestly, I’m very satisfied with my current products right now. And I always choose my skincare after researching and reading the ingredients, not just because the product has interesting claims attached to it.

    New shoes or new lipstick?
Ooh that’s hard! Do I have to pay for them? because a pair of shoes is usually more expensive than a lipstick! So lipstick if I have to pay, shoes if someone else is paying!

A TV show you would love to see turned into a movie?
Hmmm…I’m more into tv shows anyway so, my ideal is books turning into tv shows! But maybe a movie centering on a different plot about some of the characters of the show?

  293. Tracey E. says:

New lipstick or new shoes? Since I have satisfied a healthy lipstick obsession this summer, I’m going with new shoes by John Fluevog (another obsession!).
