All Lacquered Up
How many times have you left the house late for school or work and not wearing any makeup? But when you caught a glimpse of your pretty, painted nails, didn’t you let out a sigh of relief? Sometimes, all it takes to feel put together is a little color on your fingertips. If you love nail polish as much as I do, check out All Lacquered Up.

Graphic designers and web developers use Adobe kuler to help them identify color palettes to use in projects for work, but I think it’s a great tool for makeup lovers, too. One nifty feature suggests color schemes based on images you upload yourself (Create>From an Image). Say you have a picture of a lovely pink and yellow flower. Upload the photo to kuler, and it’ll return a list of colors — like swatches — based upon the predominant colors in the picture. COOL!

POPSUGAR – Celebrity Gossip & News
PopSugar is one of the ways I get my celebrity gossip fix. I like to go there when my brain needs a break. It’s part of the Sugar Inc. network of women’s blogs (ala BellaSugar, FitSugar and geeksugar). Interesting… I just learned Luke Perry may sign on for the new 90210 TV series. He better not be playing a high school student because he’s *hella* old.

iVillage: Beauty
iVillage is kinda like one-stop shopping for beauty and fashion news. It’s another good way to start your research if you’re unfamiliar with a topic. Try the Makeover-O-Matic. With it you can test virtual makeup, hairstyles and celebrity looks.

This is just some street art I came across online, but it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Totally amazing. I hope you like it.

I gotta tell you how dress shopping went in the city, but I’m heading out the door again, so I’ll reconnect a little later tonight. I hope you had a groovy Saturday.

I think I’m the only one who missed out the 90210 drama but Tori Spelling doesn’t make the cut this time.

I remember having an account with iVillage when it just came out and had fun with the makeover tool. It was hella fun back then since it was the only website that was female oriented.

Do you like tennis? I’m watching the final championship game right now. Go Nadal!

Ah 90210! We used to have “guilty preasures night” with our friends where they’d come over and we’d all watch the show and eat chicken quesadillas and beer! 🙂

    Have a good Sunday!

  7. Karen says:

    Hi Marisol,

    LOL, yah he was!

Another person on that show who was so obviously old was the girl that played Andrea Zuckerman!

  8. Karen says:

    Hi Roxy,

Oh sweet. What do you think of the brush? It’s nice, yah?

  9. Karen says:

    Hi Tiffany,

I know! It’s almost unreal. I have no idea how long it took to create, but I bet it took a really long time to plan and execute.

  10. Karen says:

    Hi Dao,

I enjoy watching tennis, but I’m not a hardcore fan. I’ll catch a match here and there!

LOL, Tori Spelling had this show on VH1 a few years ago that was sort of a faux-reality TV show about her life where she made fun of herself. It was very actually funny and smart it actually turned me into a TEAM TORI fan.

  11. Karen says:

    Hi Glosslizard,

Oh yah! We had get-together nights like that for both 90210 and for Melrose Place. Ahh, good times. Sometimes I still catch and episode or two of either show on the Soap channel.

  12. Marisol says:

If you are a fan of the show, Target has season 1 & 2 for 19.99 and season 3 & 4 for 42.99. I am going to wait til they go down in price to purchase the rest. I grew up on this show.
