7 Ways to Win a $50 eGift Card From Sephora! (Ends Monday)

September 13th, 2014 by Karen 310 Comments

A Sephora giveaway on Makeup and Beauty Blog
Do you dare enter now for your chance to win a $50 e-gift card to Sephora…?

Shoot.

I just realized that I missed out on a free bear claw…

The last time I went to Panera Bread they said I’d earned one through their membership thingy program, but I had to use it by the ninth. I didn’t want it then because I was there for lunch, and it was noon. Now I’m too late…

See, there’s an important life lesson there. Never look a gift bear claw in the mouth. No matter what time it is, no matter if you want it or not, don’t wait. You take that bear claw, and you eat that bear claw, you hear me? 🙂

LOL!

In other news, happy caturday! Rise and shine, pal o’ mine. I hope you got a good night’s sleep. I slept pretty well, considering the scary movie I watched last night. (A sci-fi horror thriller called The Machine on Netflix. Brace yourself for the opening scene. That’s all I’m saying.)

Purr usual, I haven’t figured out what I’m doing yet today… I know that we definitely need some groceries (we’re down to carrots, soy milk and instant decaf coffee, blech!), so probably Trader Joe’s right away. After that, we’ll see.

Good luck in the giveaway, babe, and have a wonderful day. Talk to you soon.

Win a $50 gift card from Sephora

  • One (1) Sephora eGift card containing $50 sent to the winner by email (international readers, you may opt to receive $50 sent by PayPal instead).

  • Open to U.S. and international readers.
  • You must be 18 or older to enter (or otherwise an adult based on your local laws).

    • Has anyone ever sketched or painted a picture of you?
    • Raw cookie dough: yea or nay?
    • Does your cat have a cute meow?
    • Are you currently happy with the state of your brows?
    • Do you have a crush on anyone at school or work?
  • You can enter in up to seven ways to boost your chances of winning.
  • The giveaway ends on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time). 🙂

Hi Agata! Have a great day out there. We’re on our way out the door to grab breakfast from a greasy spoon in town, and then Trader Joe’s.

I’m really not in the mood to do grocery shopping today, but it has to get done. Other than that, nothing really. A little cleaning, laundry, maybe some reading on the couch, stuff like that.

I hope you’re doing something more fun than it sounds like I’m doing today, LOL!

You’re always so sweet for answering to my comments on Saturdays, it makes my day. Not a whole lot of fun stuff planned here. One more hour of work, then maybe running and probably working on my blog a little bit. Grocery shopping is a Sunday (dreaded) activity for me and hubby.

Let’s see…I don’t have a “favorite” Asian brand, but I do like Fairydrops (for its Platinum mascaras) and Etude House (for its BB creams). I feel so-so about my brows. On the one hand, their natural shape fits my face well, but on the other, it’s so darn hard to make sure they match. Most of the time, they’re not sisters or even cousins, just two people on the opposite end in the six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

As a gay men who doesn’t wear makeup, I’d say my favourite Asian brand is Shiseido, I’ve been using their facial scrub regularly since last year and it’s great for my greasy skin.
I person I used to date actually did a portrait of me once. Gosh it was ugly. He was going through a sort of artistic phase, but he had very little talent. I didn’t want to offend him though, so I told him it was beautiful. Plus I think at that point I had already planned to break up with him soon, so I preferred to lie.

What’s your favorite Asian makeup brand?

    -Proooobably Shiseido. Love them!

Has anyone ever sketched or painted a picture of you?
-Yes! My mother had my portrait and my brother’s portrait taken when we were younger. It was so hard to have someone stare at you for hours sitting still in a chair.

Raw cookie dough: yea or nay?
    YEA, DUH!

Does your cat have a cute meow?
Yes! My favorite is when he brings me a milk tab (his favorite toy) to throw across the room and he makes this “cakackackack” meow that is hysterical.

Are you currently happy with the state of your brows?
    – I am. Fortunately I inherited some rockin’ brows from my momma. Thanks mam!

Do you have a crush on anyone at school or work?

Has anyone ever sketched or painted a picture of you?
Nope 🙁 I need to make myself more purrrtty for this

Raw cookie dough: yea or nay?
YAY! We only live once. I would wear my favorite lipstick and eat this delectable raw food. If for some reason I drop dead while consuming this delectable raw food, I know I’ll drop with a lipstick colored smile on my face. But then again I might just end up running to the bathroom, still with lipstick on lol!

Does your cat have a cute meow?
If you consider a chihuahua a cat, then no.

Are you currently happy with the state of your brows?
Eh! Currently growing these bald caterpillars out

While on our honeymoon we were approached by a man asking if he could draw a picture of the 2 of us. We wouldn’t have to give him any money if we didn’t like it so we let him go ahead. He was pretty persistent. Once finished I hated his drawing of me, I looked like an ugly man. I think we gave him a couple bucks and pitched the drawing when he was out of site. Ha!

No, I’m not completely happy with the state of my brows… I plucked the ends, because they’re very droopy (read sad and old-looking), so I need to learn to extend them just a bit in the direction I want with pencil… I should probably visit my favorite MUA at my local ULTA, who does tons of eyebrows, but I think I want to use the Hourglass pencil, which I would get at Sephora… oh, well, Anastasia or Too Faced or Tarte probably would have a pencil I would like, too.

Panera Bread, B&N, Target and even JCP—-in fact, I have a $10 reward that I have to use by the end of October, so I best not forget it—-I also just earned my VIB Silver card at Sephora this past week and there are bonus perks that have to be used up soon, so if I won this GC, I could use those perks too—BONUS!!!

I’m really distressed by the state of my brows, to be completely honest. Overtaxing made them really thin-and gave me the tell-tale whiter patch of skin under each eyebrow-but now they’re growing again. Unfortunately, they were always short and thick. I fill in the ends, but I’m not sure if I should just bite the bullet and have them waxed or threaded or just deal with them, since I’ll be hitting 30 in a few months and know my hair will probably start growing back even more slowly.

My brows are the thing I get the most compliments on (and the only thing I do on days when I can’t be bothered with makeup). I freaking love them.

I’d also love $50 to buy more of the new NARS Audacious lipsticks. I splurged for one, but that is a hefty price tag. Ugh.

Oh.. and Raw Cookie Dough is a must. That’s a negative on brow satisfaction. I’m like Mick Jagger that way. Can’t get no. I feel like they were getting too heavy for my face but, only my left one can be shaped the way I like. Stupid Raul on the right makes it impossible, even with filling. I don’t know if anyone ever talks about this but many women I know say that their brows just don’t grow back in as they age. So, young gals should be extra cautious about over-plucking!
