7 Ways to Win a $50 eGift Card From Sephora! (Ends Monday)

Published in: Giveaways, Just For Fun

A Sephora giveaway on Makeup and Beauty Blog

Do you dare enter now for your chance to win a $50 e-gift card to Sephora…?

Shoot.

I just realized that I missed out on a free bear claw…

The last time I went to Panera Bread they said I’d earned one through their membership thingy program, but I had to use it by the ninth. I didn’t want it then because I was there for lunch, and it was noon. Now I’m too late…

See, there’s an important life lesson there. Never look a gift bear claw in the mouth. No matter what time it is, no matter if you want it or not, don’t wait. You take that bear claw, and you eat that bear claw, you hear me? πŸ™‚

LOL!

In other news, happy caturday! Rise and shine, pal o’ mine. I hope you got a good night’s sleep. I slept pretty well, considering the scary movie I watched last night. (A sci-fi horror thriller called The Machine on Netflix. Brace yourself for the opening scene. That’s all I’m saying.)

Purr usual, I haven’t figured out what I’m doing yet today… I know that we definitely need some groceries (we’re down to carrots, soy milk and instant decaf coffee, blech!), so probably Trader Joe’s right away. After that, we’ll see.

Good luck in the giveaway, babe, and have a wonderful day. Talk to you soon.

Hi Agata! Have a great day out there. We’re on our way out the door to grab breakfast from a greasy spoon in town, and then Trader Joe’s.

I’m really not in the mood to do grocery shopping today, but it has to get done. Other than that, nothing really. A little cleaning, laundry, maybe some reading on the couch, stuff like that.

I hope you’re doing something more fun than it sounds like I’m doing today, LOL!

  2. I am an Indian currently living in Japan so I’ve tried plenty of Asian brands πŸ™‚ My favorites are Lakme, Colorbar (Indian) and Shiseido (Japan). I also like Kanebo products!

Let’s see…I don’t have a “favorite” Asian brand, but I do like Fairydrops (for its Platinum mascaras) and Etude House (for its BB creams). I feel so-so about my brows. On the one hand, their natural shape fits my face well, but on the other, it’s so darn hard to make sure they match. Most of the time, they’re not sisters or even cousins, just two people on the opposite end in the six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

  9. Jessica says:

As a gay men who doesn’t wear makeup, I’d say my favourite Asian brand is Shiseido, I’ve been using their facial scrub regularly since last year and it’s great for my greasy skin.
I person I used to date actually did a portrait of me once. Gosh it was ugly. He was going through a sort of artistic phase, but he had very little talent. I didn’t want to offend him though, so I told him it was beautiful. Plus I think at that point I had already planned to break up with him soon, so I preferred to lie.

  184. Rhoda K says:

    Raw cookie dough? YAY!!

  185. Fran says:

No, I’m not completely happy with the state of my brows… I plucked the ends, because they’re very droopy (read sad and old-looking), so I need to learn to extend them just a bit in the direction I want with pencil… I should probably visit my favorite MUA at my local ULTA, who does tons of eyebrows, but I think I want to use the Hourglass pencil, which I would get at Sephora… oh, well, Anastasia or Too Faced or Tarte probably would have a pencil I would like, too.

  186. Liz says:

    Cookie dough? Ick!

  193. Donna N says:

Karen, thanks for that important life lesson–I am ALWAYS forgetting about those special *perk* items that different retailers offer me, ESPECIALLY when there’s an expiration date! Panera Bread, B&N, Target and even JCP—-in fact, I have a $10 reward that I have to use by the end of October, so I best not forget it—-I also just earned my VIB Silver card at Sephora this past week and there are bonus perks that have to be used up soon, so if I won this GC, I could use those perks too—BONUS!!!

And my Brows—-they are in need of some SERI rehab—thanks for the reminder too! πŸ™‚

  194. Amanda says:

Hi Karen! My brows are ok, they need a wax. But I like their shape; they’re a tiny bit thinner than I’d like; but not bad. Yes to cookie dough if I’m already making cookies. Not like to eat huge spoonful after spoonful.

  195. Nataya says:

Hi. I love raw cookie dough :). Talking about Asian cosmetic, Martha Tilaar and Mustika Ratu are big in Indonesia.

  196. Geralyn says:

    Have a great Sunday!

  197. Denise says:

I’m really distressed by the state of my brows, to be completely honest. Overtaxing made them really thin-and gave me the tell-tale whiter patch of skin under each eyebrow-but now they’re growing again. Unfortunately, they were always short and thick. I fill in the ends, but I’m not sure if I should just bite the bullet and have them waxed or threaded or just deal with them, since I’ll be hitting 30 in a few months and know my hair will probably start growing back even more slowly.

  198. cherry says:

An absolute yay for cookie dough!!! In fact I am craving some now after writing this comment…

  199. Laetitia says:

If you had to throw alllll of you make up away and only be able to pick one what would u choose

  200. Sammy N says:

Fave Asian brand at the moment is Clio; I really dig their gelpresso liner pencils and kill black pen liner!

  201. Rose says:

I love my brows right now! I have full and unruly brows, and right now they are freshly threaded and look clean πŸ™‚

  202. Maria J. says:

In have to admit I’m the happiest with my eyebrows I could ever be because I’ve been letting them grow for the past couple of months and shaping them at the same time, so now I don’t have to fill them in as much.

  203. Nicole says:

My brows are the thing I get the most compliments on (and the only thing I do on days when I can’t be bothered with makeup). I freaking love them.

I’d also love $50 to buy more of the new NARS Audacious lipsticks. I splurged for one, but that is a hefty price tag. Ugh.

  204. V says:

  205. Jessie says:

I am not happy with my brows! I don’t think they’ll ever grow the way I want, but it’s not bad enough that I have to fill them in on a daily basis, I just save that for special occasions.

  206. Kayla says:

Raw cookie dough… a definite yay! Ugh, the days when I was younger and could get away with eating whatever I wanted!

  207. Sam E says:

I’m not currently happy with my brows, although they are bushy, they aren’t very full and they look very different from each other…

  208. Laura says:

My cat Guppy DEFINITELY has the cutest meow. No question about it. Every time I go into the vet everyone there always comments on her meow and ask if its real. Bar none cutest meow ever!

  209. Amber says:

I need some serious eyebrow bootcamp to get these brows ready for fall weather

  210. Lorraine says:

  239. Isabel V says:

Raw cookie dough? HECK yea! As for me brows, they’re pretty full. They can be a bit unruly at times, but I pluck regularly. I usually just shape them when I put on moisturizer, but I’ll whip them into shape with an old clean mascara wand or a little brow gel if necessary.

  240. Hope you had a nice weekend Karen! I can never sleep if I watch horror movies…I can barely handle Dateline: Mystery LOL! Oh, and I LOVE raw cookie dough, but I always get nervous when I eat it. I have heard they make some that is safe to eat but I feel like thats too dangerous to have around haha!

In a world where someone else is paying, my favorite Asian makeup brand is Shiseido. In a world where I’m paying, it’s Daiso. πŸ™‚ They may be a dollar store, but they have surprisingly decent mascara.

  245. Mallory B says:

I am currently very displeased with the state of my brows, but that’s because I have yet to find a good brow stylist in the town I moved to 3 years ago. Everyone I’ve gone to has done them far too thin. I’ve heard good things about the girls at the Ulta (half an hour away) so I think I’m going to give them a shot on my next day off.

  246. alli says:

  253. Tracy says:

I sat for a portrait when I was a senior in high school. It’s in charcoal, no color and it’s traveled with me to every place I’ve lived since moving out of my parents house 18 years ago. I am not currently happy with the shape of my brows.. I really need to go get them waxed. I have 2 small, fiesty children. So that solution is harder than it sounds. I’ll get there. Oh.. and Raw Cookie Dough is a must. I tell my kids they can’t have any and it’s no good for you bc of the raw egg in it.. even though I’ve been eating it for years.. better safe than sorry.. actually it’s just so I can have it to myself. Anyway your blog is a lot of fun! You have a great purrsonality.

  263. Bons says:

I have never had anyone sketched a picture of me but would love to!

  264. Nicole Nguyen says:

Since you brought up the topic of brows as a suggestion, I recently got my brows threaded. Unfortunately, they are a tad on the thinner side. I usually keep my brows pretty big and this girl felt like it should be thing. I kept on thinking ‘WHY ME?!’ πŸ™ However, it has given quite a bit of practice as to how to draw in my brows πŸ™‚

  287. Regina Reed says:

My cat Lola has about the cutest meow ever! It’s very meek and girly, she is just the cutest chicest kitty there ever was!

  288. Kim says:

That’s a negative on brow satisfaction. I’m like Mick Jagger that way. Can’t get no. I feel like they were getting too heavy for my face but, only my left one can be shaped the way I like. Stupid Raul on the right makes it impossible, even with filling. I don’t know if anyone ever talks about this but many women I know say that their brows just don’t grow back in as they age. So, young gals should be extra cautious about over-plucking!

  289. Caitlyn says:
