Can you believe a new decade starts this week? Weird, right? I’ve been spending some time thinking about my resolutions for 2010, and so far on the list: 1) get back in shape, 2) take some personal enrichment classes (photography, makeup artistry, yoga/meditation) and 3) improve the way I handle stress.

Just did my nails, and used seche vite as my top coat. though it doesnt really help my nails in the chip resistant department, it does help in cutting down drying time. dang…where was this in my youth! lol

I love Urban Decay products, the shadows are amazing, I’ve converted my friends and family toward the Primer Potion, and the 24/7 Pencil in Zero is my absolute staple (waterline goodness!). I feel HOT in it–I hope Urban Decay never goes away!
Ohhh… I’ve never seen Urban Decay products where I live (medium-size city in Ontario, Canada), so it would be a real treat to try them.
I just got my very first MAC product… a Cremesheen lipstick in Lickable… last week, and absolutely love it. Reading your blog is making me spend money, heehee. I layer a Lancome Juicy Tubes smoothie gloss in Plum Freeze over the lipstick but that particular gloss must be discontinued, because it’s not on Lancome’s website.
Zero? Nice.
Also, totally love the mascara name.

I need to find balance and multi-tiered focus. I find I can handle one or two things in my life (food, figure, face, hobbies, volunteering), but juggling them all at the same time is pretty hard. Need to work on time management skills me thinks.

Guess what? I just did 2 beauty expiriments! they worked amazing!
I tried rubbing a wet green tea bag on my face, and when it broke i just ribbed the contents on, then rinsed it off. OMG! M skin is refreshed soft and I can’t ind any of the zits beacause they got so small!\
And then I tried the John Frida color glaze in combonation with Aussie 3 minute miracle on dry hair, let it sit an then shapooed it out. WOW! GREAT results!
i have a few urban decay 24/7 pencils, but i haven’t yet got the hang of working them into my routine yet. i am in a habit of using a wet eye liner brush and eyeshadow as eyeliner, as opposed to using *actual* liner. it’s just hard to get a pencil close enough to my lash line!

Silent Hill video games are just about my favorite thing in the world. (No, I also love make up and music and food and such – but, y’know, just finished playing SH so therefore predominantly excited by that at this particular moment.) The plot line of Silent Hill 2 especially is just incredible – better than many of the novels I’ve read, and being a scholar of English literature, I’ve read a lot of novels. I am so stoked for SH: Shattered Memories to come out in February!

I have recently discovered a killer smokey eye look, somewhat by accident, but it makes my eyes look ahhhh-mazing! NYX jumbo eye pencil (the white one) all over my lid, club on lid, humid in crease, blend blend blend, fluidline in blacktrack on the upper lid, loads of black mascara… viola…beautiful eyes!

Wow – my new years resolution are the same as yours! The exercise one is the hardest part. I have tried to start incorporating easy (and less effortful) ways to exercise. I also love the Bourbon eye pencil, but it has taken a back seat to my new love, the Corrupt pencil from the Super Stash set!

Yes, I’m a Bourbon-aholic. Although, yesterday I was wearing Gunmetal when I visited Sephora, and I couldn’t get the stuff off! I wanted to try on some other eyeshadows so I tried using their makeup remover to wipe it clear, and the UD wouldn’t BUDGE! I was standing there at the mirror for so long that the woman came over and asked if I needed help. She laughed when I told her the problem.

Hi Karen! I am obsessed with urban decay’s glitter liners. They’re just so pretty! And sparkly!
I had a tube of Urban Decay’s lipstick in Gash in, like, 2001, and it was SO GORGOUS- a deep blood red with a metallic sheen…tragically, it melted at some point years ago. I recently got a replacement now that UD has started releasing lipsticks again, and the reformulated Gash is SO BLAH- a rosy/berry red satin, so so boring. What a disappointment! The products in this set, however, are all winners.
I have given up smoking a month ago and I will try to lose weight next year.
