Amanda Leigh “Mandy” Moore, born April 10, 1984, was just 15 when her breakthrough single, Candy, hit the airwaves in 1999.
Now, don’t even pretend you don’t know the lyrics, baby girl. It’s spontaneous pop music singalong time!
So baby come to me
Show me you are
Sweet to me
Like sugar to my heart, baby
I’m craving for you
I’m missing you like candaaay!
LOL! Whatev, you know that was fun. 😉
Anyhoo, since Candy was released little Miss Mandy has been busy making both music and films (who else cried while watching A Walk to Remember?).
She’s all grown up now, and as of last Tuesday totally hitched. Yup, Mandy said, “I do” to singer Ryan Adams, to whom she got engaged last month.
I wonder how she wore her hair during the ceremony. I always admired how Mandy’s never been afraid of taking risks with her hair. Long or short, blonde or black — whatever she rocks I think she always looks great.

Karen

That’s interesting, I like all of her hair looks! Usually I feel like there are some bad ones and some obvious good ones, but I guess Mandy Moore just has great hair!
And A Walk to Remember was a great movie!
Arianne says
She has really great hair; I had a hard time picking, but I settled with #1. Love her!

I find her strangely appealing as well. She was awesome in Saved! I love look #1 — I even took that same picture to my stylist last time I needed a new haircut.

I still haven’t seen that movie! I gotta put it in my Netflix queue.
Hope you’re having a lovely Thursday!

Just a few days ago I was playing Mandy Moore/Christina Aguleira mix CD in my car and it was pure sugar 🙂 I like her as a brunette more than a blond and her long hair is very lovely and shiny.

Hi Dao,
What a fun mix! I bet it’s great to blast that on a sunny day with the windows down.

You know who you are, your love’s as sweet as candy. I’ll be forever yours.
Love always,
Mandy
That is my favorite part of the song. I met her when I was in high school because she was signing CD’s at the Sam Goody in Serramonte Mall. I didn’t even own her CD but I made her sign my yearbook. She was very friendly and complimented my eyeglasses. I love #7 on her which is making me contemplate bangs.

I heart Mandy Moore. Didn’t care much for Candy but like everything else she has done. I actually read that she got married and when i got home, I watched A Walk to Remember. I bawled like baby when I first saw it when it came out. I didn’t expect to like it as much. The soundtrack is pretty good too.

Where did you get the pics for ‘do number 1? I need to take that to my stylist! Also I am a big Mandy Moore fan, I loved the cover she later did of Candy, making it more bluesy/r and B
Audrey says
OMG – I bawled like crazy during A Walk to Remember. Saw it twice in the theaters, too 🙂 Love the soundtrack and the book as well.
I think Mandy is gorgeous and I’m so glad that she grew up to be a very classy and articulate woman. She looks great in all her ‘dos 🙂
