No, it’s not a real thing. (Well, it might be… I don’t know.)
Ah, the things you do when you’re trying to NOT chop your bangs.
Girl, it’s been less than a month since I started growing mine out again, and they’re driving me absolutely ? bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. ?
On the plus side, it’s forcing me to find creative ways to keep my bangs out of my mix, like this half-up Dutch side braid, which is basically an inverted French braid.
When the braid gets halfway down my head (just above my ear), I secure it with an elastic, then wrapped a piece of hair around the elastic to hide it. Then I curl the rest of my hair into loose waves for texture and body.
Dude, honestly, I don’t know how much longer I can take this growing out business. My patience is wearing thin!!!

I do this, and variations, all the time! I’ve been growing out bangs in some way for years (every time I get them grown out, I lose my mind and decide to cut them again), so these kinds of braids are staples. I’m wearing a Dutch braid on each side today actually, joined in the back by a bun.

GIRL. I honestly don’t know if I’m going to be able to grow these suckers out! What kind of bangs do you have at the moment? I’m thinking I’m going to end up with some sort of side swept action.
Katie says
I’m just past the side-swept stage! Now they’re just awkward, chin-length strips of hair. I’m able to pull it off if I curl everything, but otherwise, it’s just weird. They were initially blunt-type bangs, so as they’ve grown out I’ve had them layered and angled so that they’d blend in better, but that just made them take longer to grow!

(a) No braids because I completely suck with my hair and my hair is slippery and nothing sticks.
(b) Your hair and makeup are flawless! I love it. You look really pretty with those lashes. Have you seen the magnetic lashes? I am really interested in these (again, I’m really bad this stuff). https://www.popsugar.com/beauty/One-Two-Cosmetics-Magnetic-Lashes-Review-43251418

I like to do the “crown braid”/headband variation of this! I need to keep my hair out of my face for work, and the braids hold it in place well while still looking cute 🙂

I wear them a lot, but my preferred way is to do one on each side, like a crown braid, and then put them up in a bun at the back of my head. A very easy look, but one I get a ton of compliments on.

I always loved this hair do but I’m not able to do it on my hair ?

I love this look on you! A teenage girl I know had the cutest braid over the weekend and it was similar to this. It’s been SO long since I’ve braided – and braids were never a super good look on me.
On a side note, I generally trim my own bangs (and then have my cut “fixed” every 16 weeks or so by an actual professional). This last time, I thought they looked a bit blunt and decided to angle/blend down to about the bottom of my ears. I know my stylist will probably have a heart attack but no one else has noticed, so I feel that it was a success! HAHA!

It is so stylish like that. When I was trying to let my hair grow out to all one length basically if it had not been for my hair stylist I wouldn’t have ever made it. I would go in and tell her to just cut it that I couldn’t take it anymore. She would look at me and say “Christy, you have made it this far and you will be amazed at how much s 10th of an inch growth can make in being able to style it.” I did let it grow out and have NEVER had bangs again. Don’t get me wrong, bangs look wonderful on a lot of people, they just were too much for me.
