Gotta give props to the girls who aren’t afraid to take risks with their hair, like Harry Potter alum Hermione Granger Emma Watson, who recently chopped her shoulder-length locks into a short pixie cut (No. 9 above), declaring it “the most liberating thing ever.”
My short-lived experience with short hair wasn’t quite as liberating. I’d gone from shoulder length to a short chin-length bob, but because I was no longer able to just pull it back into a ponytail and go, I ended up spending more time on maintenance than I’d bargained for (and more money on trips to the salon to maintain its shape).
I think Em looks great with her pixie, though. Doesn’t it play up her eyes?

P.S. Are you looking forward to this as much as I am? 🙂

I can’t just choose one! lol. Emma Watson can pull off a lot of hairstyles!

i prefer #8 on her but i have to say she pulls off the pixie very well.
the shortest i’ve ever gone was in high school when i copied mandy moore’s hair circa 2002. i loved it but i didn’t love having to straighten my hair all the time (i have wavy/curly, coarse hair naturally).
i keep toying with the idea of going short again but i don’t have the bone structure for it anymore :p
p.s.
heck yeah, i’m so excited for deathly hallows! CAN’T.WAIT!

she looks to me to be about 11 years old no matter what and i can’t really get past that.

I can’t choose between 5, 7 and 8! Emma Watson just looks so pretty. I can’t wait for Harry Potter!

I got my hair cut really short when I was in junior high and it was really really awesome! After I took my shower in the morning I was just styling it with a little hair spray and I was ready for the day 😀 Oh god, I sometimes miss those easy hair days.. but I no longer have the guts to go short again. Anyways, I think Emma Watson is a beautiful girl and she can pull off any look she wants. And she reminds me of Jeremy Irons, esp her eyes 🙂 And I’m waiting for Deathly Hallows patiently.. patiently.. patiently.. (I’m really in love with the books, you know)

I just recently (a month ago) cut my hair up to my ears and you’re absolutely right, it is a pain to maintain and reshape but it’s so worth it. It made me feel more confident in going bare faced.. if that makes any sense lol

I love number 2, but once again I fall into the majority. 2, 4 and 5 are my favorites.
I love the HP movies. I saw the first four at the cinema. The last two I waited to come to DVD. Keep in mind, I am NOT a cinema person.I can’t pause the movie if I need to use the loo, can’t pause it when my mind is too full and I need to process what I’ve all seen so far, can’t pause it to get a soda or popcorn/candy refill, I’m either too cold or too hot, no subtitles and there’s normally too many people there for my liking (Autistic = hate crowds). Quite frankly, I love my television, the ability to put subtitles on, to have a big box of tissues nearby AND the ability to have a remote control in my hands.
I had my hair short back in high school. I hated it. I look back on that year with horror.

Short hair is actually harder to maintain for me. A few years ago, I just went ahead and chopped my almost waist length hair into a cut very similar to number 9 above. It was easy because very little blow drying is needed but the minute it starts to grow out – thats when the troubles begin. In the end I grew it back longer.
THEN I had it cut again at the start of this year to a bob with side bangs – same experience: easy the first few months then horror. I fried my hair because i straightened it everyday during that time. Now im growing it a bit longer again and growing out my bangs.
I know that with shorter hairstyles, maintenance cuts are a must but I am very neglectful when it comes to that.
I do love number 9 on Emma Watson though – she looks very mod!

I really like #2. I like the shorter hair as well, BUT, I feel like it would look better with just a few longer locks framing the face. I really love asymmetrical short cuts, as they’re not too common and can be so fun.

Oh, I can’t pick a favorite – she’s stunning no matter what. So classy.
Also, YES. I’m totally going to see Deathly Hallows within the first week of it being in the theatres. 😀

I liked the pixie cut…wish I had the kind of face structure to get that kind of a hair cut.

I can’t wait for the movie(s)!!! I’ve told the husband he’ll have try to not look embarrassed as I cry like a little girl through the tough bits.

Emma is gorgeous and I can’t wait to see Deathly Hallows, both parts.

i love emma watson she is my idol 😀

Emma has not been able to majorly change her hair for the past ten years so I say good for her! The pixie cut is so cute and it must be such a relief to have a light head for once.

3, 4 and 8…
8 is the best!
pixie cut? no! it makes her looks so old!

I think number 5 – but she’s beautiful anyway. <3
